Extremely slow service! Too expensive..not worth the price for the amount of food served! Very disappointed! Food was cold and bland. Kept serving wrong drink. No salad was served with the food! Absolutely rubbish and waste of money!

Very delicious, authentic Afghan food. We shared the mix grill, veg biryani and Afghan naan between 3 people and that was a perfect amount. Service was slightly slow but servers were friendly. Nice atmosphere and not too expensive. I would eat here again!

I've been here a few times as their food is great and conveniently near mk centre where it's hard to get near by halal restaurants. Recommend both single and family people. It's a shame staff are very slow to reach you and sometimes unable to explain or understand! Interior is modern, welcoming and comfortable.

Such a shame, was super excited but the food standard was low and overpriced. The lamb had to much fat and no flavour….the only thing nice was the family grill but all the flavours were old fashioned.

It is one of the best restaurants I have been in a very long time. I have tried several desi Pakistani restaurants. But this one, I can easier say, has been the best one of all - be it in London, Birmingham Leicester or Manchester. We were a family of 8, including adults, a teen, and kids. We ordered chapli kebabs, lamb charsi karahi, mix grill, chicken makhni handi, afghan naans with butter, roghni naan, garlic naan. And in dessert, the owner Waqas himself recommended gajar halwa (made of red carrots, not orange ones) and kheer. I can easily say that each one of these dishes and sweets carried its authentic taste, texture, fragrance, and tenderness. Best food I have had in a restaurant in a long time. Above all, it was on eid occasion when restaurants are super busy and it's very easy to lose quality. But everything at Mezbaan was "spot on". It was my first time at this restaurant, and I will definitely visit here again, InshaAllah. Very tasty food, good service, nice atmosphere. Well done to the chefs, waitresses, and the owner for giving their customers a memorable experience. 👏

We had our Eid dinner at this place in the hopes that supposedly this is similar to Karwan in Luton, but what a disappointment it was. Food was full of spices until you can’t even taste the actual meat just chillies. The mixed grill was not even charcoaled rather it was just seasoned on top and felt like cooked in a pot or something. The service was extremely poor and slow, we were served food first without any plates or cutlery, we had to keep on asking for plates as the food was getting cold and when they brought the plates and cutlery there was no sauces, no salad no napkins. We literally had to ask for each and every item and at the end had to grab napkins from the counter by ourselves. The whole experience was so poor, the food was a major let down and on top of that the slow service and the lack of attention made it worse. We will never go back again and would rather travel to Luton which is worth the trip for better tasting food, fast exceptional service and much cheaper in price.

Went for late lunch / early dinner. Service was good. Starters of Chicken Wings and Samosa Chat was very nice, Tempura Prawns were average. The main courses were not great. Chicken curry used chicken thighs, not breasts, so meat is not tender enough for my taste. Lamb curry, the lamb was nice. Both curries were somewhat more oily than we like. The Afghanistan Naan was large but flat rather than 'puffy', so that's a no from me. The portion size was good. So, it's probably worth a visit, but we won't be returning.

Ambiance is great. Staff well dressed but non- efficient. Taste is better than many desi restaurants in UK but not as outstanding as some other very rgood estaurants in the city. Served cold, looked already prepared not fresh... Unchi dokaan pheeka pakwaan. I can take some guests out there as the ambience is great, but when I want to eat good food served piling hot, melting in mouth id go to some other tried as tested place.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mezbaan during Ramadan, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. One of the highlights was the thoughtful gesture of providing complimentary fruits, fritters, and refreshing juice alongside dates. This small but meaningful touch truly enhanced the dining experience and made it feel special during this holy month. Please note: I felt the food is but overpriced but it may be due to the location. Overall, I highly recommend Mezban for anyone looking to enjoy a meal during Ramadan. The complimentary offerings were not only generous but also showcased the spirit of the season. I look forward to returning and experiencing more of their wonderful hospitality!

Probably the worst butter chicken I've had. It was like the chicken was pre cooked and then thrown in to the sauce at the end as the flavours hadn't infused in to the chicken. The food was not piping hot which lead me to believe something had been done in terms of cooking before it came to the table. No understanding of customer service, some items were thrown on to the table by the waiter as if they didn't want to be there. Would not recommend as its not worth the trip or money. Unfortunately hygien was lacking in so many areas and this is something that can't be over looked.

Staff was polite. Fruit given for opening fast.but main food lacked spices and salt. Was very bland. Mocktails were ok. Restaurant was nice set up.

Outstanding Service and Exceptional Dining Experience. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with warmth and care. We were hosting 50 plus guests (had to add few more last minute) The staff went above and beyond to ensure our experience was nothing short of perfect. As particular diners, we can be quite a handful, but the team handled our requests with patience, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm. Nothing was too much trouble for them—they accommodated every preference with a smile, making us feel truly valued. The food itself was absolutelly delicious and appreciated by our guests (from around the globe). A special mention to Abdul, Bhavia and Ayesha who went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy throughout our meal. Their kindness and attentiveness made all the difference. If you're looking for a place where the food is fantastic and the staff make you feel like VIPs, look no further. Thank you.

Had a lamb handi with garlic naan, tasted amazing and it wasn't too oily which is always a plus

Been here a few times now and have to stay they’ve never disappointed, the food is delicious, clean restaurant, beautiful interior reasonably priced and friendly service!

All the staff were good and especially Tina who was really kind and helpful with the menu and advised us accordingly since we were just visiting MK for the 1st time. She was very courteous, ensured that we were enjoying the meal and kept on checking if we had any concerns. Tina was able to also advice us on sugar free drinks since one of us had dietary restrictions. Ambience was perfect for a nice afternoon meal.

Ordered lahori lamb karahi on recommendation by girl at the reception. Wow one of the best lamb karahi I had. defo recommended.

I wasnt sure what to order so i asked the waiter what she would recommend she recommend biriani and a couple of other things the chicken had so many bones it was terrible and was very spicy even though she said it was mild would never go there again. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I had a very disappointing experience at Mezbaan Restaurant. We went as a family, expecting a good meal, but everything fell short of expectations. The chicken was served cold, which was completely unacceptable. The chapli kebabs were chewy and undercooked, making them almost inedible. The lassi was bland, lacking both flavor and sweetness. On top of that, the service was terrible—the staff had a bad attitude and didn’t seem to care about customer satisfaction. To make matters worse, no chutney or salad was served, which should be standard with such meals. Overall, a terrible experience, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

A beautiful restaurant with parking right outside. The food is Excellent 👌. Everything was made to a delicious taste taking our request on how spicy we would like it. Appreciated that, as we have a toddler to feed to. The chicken charsi karahi was absolutely magnificent I enjoyed that a lot with the naan and tadoori roti. Staff are polite and friendly, also we’re very understanding with my daughter who’s 18months old. Needed some chips to keep her busy and they were so fast in arranging this. I fully recommend this when u come to Milton Keynes. In the desserts the Kheer was excellent. Very tasty. We come from Oxford so coming here is perfect.

Great Ambience and Food is loved, their Charsi karahi made me go back within 24 hours. Came from London and it's worth coming. Also the staff is very nice and welcoming.

I decided to try this restaurant after driving past and checking some Google reviews. Unfortunately, my experience did not match the positive feedback I had read. After placing my order, I was served a salad and some sauce while waiting for my food. To my shock, I found multiple hairs in the salad first one, which I thought might be a mistake, but then at least three more. This was unacceptable, and I immediately decided to leave without eating. I had washed my hands before eating and hadn't touched my phone or anything else, so the contamination was clearly not from me. The restaurant's hygiene standards were concerning the toilets were in poor condition, falling apart, and the floor was sticky. Additionally, the staff appeared careless, with one employee having long, uncovered hair hanging loosely while working. Proper hygiene and cleanliness are the foundation of any good restaurant, regardless of price or cuisine. I don’t mind paying even a few hundred pounds for a good dining experience, but cleanliness is non-negotiable. Unfortunately, this restaurant did not meet even basic hygiene standards, and I cannot recommend it.

The best desi restaurant in Milton Keynes, I came from London to eat here that's how good it is, best food and the best service thanks to abdul quayyam excellent service and the quayyam soda is the one, specially created by abdul (chus ah gee) , a must try and highly recommend to everyone.

Great place. Seemed to hassle us to finish quicker. Maybe ask the tables that have birthdays on to move on. Which was almost half the restaurant that night.

Food is decent although the whole 'Afghan' thing is a bit of a gimmick - mostly traditional Pakistani, which is okay but then why not sell it as authentic Pakistani? Also we had a few issues - a hair found in the fries, lamb handi delivered cold and when changed came back with mixed with boneless chicken. But the manager was responsive so wish them luck

Had an amazing desi breakfast at Mezbaan with friends. The Halwa Puri was authentic just like in Pakistan. The ambience was great, super clean, and the staff was very welcoming. The music was a perfect 10/10, adding to the experience. Highly recommend!!!!!

The Lahori Chicken Karahi was exceptional—rich, flavorful, and tasted just like the ones you’d find in Lahore. The Pina Colada was another highlight—creamy, high-quality, and expertly crafted by Abdul Kayum. A special mention to Ayesha, who provided outstanding customer service, making us feel truly welcomed. Too spicy food even if you order it mild , Quantity is not enough for a person. Biriani is just rich with only few pieces of chicken and a lot of cardamom that was really annoying.

While the atmosphere and service was not bad.. The food was awful. The taste was nowhere near to what other restaurants in the same premises serve. This was the 2nd visit and we were disappointed in both occasions. Will never visit again.

I ordered family mixed grill it was extremely spicy,not good value for money. It would be nice to at least have a loaf of bread with Kebab that normally comes with everywhere else.

Me and my wife to Mezbaan when we visited MK in Jan 2025. The food was not upto my taste bud. We ordered Dumphukt Chicken Biriani, Lahori Chicken Karahi, , Lamb Sheekh Kebab, Garlic Naan, chicken pakora. I didn’t like any of the items. Particularly, I didn’t like the Biriani at all- it had very little amount of meat. For that reason, we ordered the Lahori Chicken Karahi- which tasted like a tomato curry with a lot of chicken in it. The favour of tomato was just too much. My wife on the other hand liked the chicken pakora. Never coming back.

The Chapli Kabab was delicious, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor. The service provided by Abdul Qayum was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. He recommended the Lahori Karhai, which turned out to be an excellent choice, bursting with rich, authentic flavors. Overall, a fantastic dining experience!

We waited 55 minutes after ordering to get the food served, the cutlery and plates were half washed and wet, left by the waitress as a pile in the middle of the table and for us to make the table🤨 the trolley which they bring the food on it is black of dirt. It looks like it has never been cleaned, the food is not tasty, chicken full of small pieces of bones everywhere, it does not deserve the price. Very poor hygiene. Never go back there again.

Mezbaan is probably one of the best options for pak-afghan dishes and desi food in Milton Keynes. Their Chicken Charsi Karahi and Afghani Pulao are always a hit with us. Fresh ingredients and a wonderful blend of authentic flavour. My craving for naans is also best satisfied here. Hats of to their servers and the team who are respectful, humble and always ensuring a brilliant dining experience. Thumbs up and all the best to Mezbaan!

We stopped in for a quick lunch on my way to Cranfield Uni after a long drive from Bath. We ordered butter chicken, palak paneer, mango lassis, and naan - some of our perennial favs. The meal was as delicious and generous as the Punjabi roadside dhabas. It was absolutely brilliant, and I highly recommend it. The waitress was also very attentive.

I just wanted to leave a review to say that I am thoroughly impressed with Mezban! This is the second time I am visiting and the food is delicious. The service is fabulous and in particular Munnaza was a wonderful waitress so kind and helpful. I will be back again inshaAllah

The food was okay and tasted more like homemade. It has the ambience of a take-away rather than a formal dining establishment. I myself am a bit of a miserly person; it seems pricey (e.g., 2 standard-sized chicken seekh kebabs for £5.95, Afghan naan for £3.45).

Staff not friendly, rude manager was starring at us wanting us to leave. Greedy staff. First time to Afghan restaurant not offering bread and sauces with meals. Very expensive compared to the quantity. Very disappointing

Upon entering, some of the tables were dirty & unclean. The waiters were pressurising us to order. Unfortunately, the food wasn't great at all. The friend I was with having eaten the food had an upset tummy.

I have eaten from Mezbaan before and enjoyed the experience thoroughly. However, on this occasions I was disappointed at the lack of communication when my order was not complete when I arrived. I called 40 mins before collection being ensured that my order would be ready within 20 minutes. I was told upon arrival that one of the dishes was not available and being asked to order something else. Historically by other establishments I have been called back and told an item was not available and before I arrive I have ordered something different. This was not the case here. 2 half hearted apologies and I was made to feel like I was the inconvenience by one or the member of staffs.

It you are looking for an authentic halal Pakistani food in Milton Keynes, this is the best option. You will find a variety of meat and vegetarian dishes along with mix grill and variety of naans. Ambiance was great. A nice restaurant to visit with friends and family. Service wasn't up to the mark considering the quality and atmosphere of the restaurant and has room from improvement. Otherwise a good restaurant for a dine in experience.

Disappointing Experience at Mezbaan Restaurant I recently visited Mezbaan Restaurant and, unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfying. The main issue was with the food—particularly the curries, which were not served at a hot enough temperature. Being in a restaurant, I expected the dishes to arrive fresh and piping hot, but that was not the case. The overall quality of the food also left much to be desired. While the menu seemed promising, the flavors and presentation did not meet expectations. The dishes were just about edible, but they lacked the freshness and attention to detail you’d hope for when dining out. Overall, I left feeling quite disappointed. With so much potential, I had high hopes for Mezbaan, but it fell short in terms of both quality and temperature of the food. I hope they address these issues to provide a better dining experience in the future.

Our mistake to go so late at 9:30 their kitchen closes at 9:30 even if it was late they took us in took our order and order was ready in 15 mins . Good food , good potions and good pricing .

Food was terrible spent 70 pound on food and was so disappointed, I don't believe most of the reviews on here a genuine. Very misleading.

Overall, the food was delicious and well-prepared, with a great variety of flavors that really stood out. The staff are getting too cocky and rude, I don’t feel comfortable with the way they serve u, it feels like being in an interview. Food was not good at all last time, the rice smelled of pesticides which means it’s not being clean, the chicken has a smell which means it was not cleaned. The food was really bellow standard. Also the quabli pillow the meat was old and too much cumin to hide another taste. I am happy to switch to another restaurant as this place used to be my place for Friday night out with my family,,, never again and
