Lovely food, very friendly staff and the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic!

Came here for my friends birthday meal. Food was delicious. All staff were friendly, polite and professional. The member of staff (Tina) who served us was very attentive and recommended dishes from the menu. Overall a very pleasant experience and would highly recommend this place.

Over all best place for Indians and everyone , I would recommend this place to everyone.

The food was good—fresh and flavorful. Unfortunately, the experience was let down by the extremely slow service. Despite pre-ordering, we waited far longer than expected, and the staff seemed uninterested and unhelpful throughout. It’s a shame, because the kitchen clearly knows what it’s doing, but the front-of-house service really needs improvement.

Despite booking we had to wait 20 mins to be seated. They were very crowded and busy. Cleaned our own table as they were so slow and we just wanted to sit down with our kids. We ordered our food and asked for tea whilst we waited and were told they were not able to serve any tea as the kitchen was too busy. It’s on the menu but they couldn’t serve it. The wait for the food was very very long. When it did arrive it was incredibly disappointing. The mixed grill dry and was horrendously spicy. We can tolerate spice but this was beyond a level that allowed you to taste anything else but chilli. All the kids meals were also too spicy. Nothing tasted good and was just being forced down. We also got told they can’t serve tap water so we ordered a bottle alongside our other soft drinks, but then a table next to us got served tap water. Once we finished eating we again asked if we could order tea and got told no because the kitchen was too busy. Why put it on the menu if you can’t manage to actually serve it? We were quite unhappy about the overall experience and good by this point so we did complain to the waitress. She kept going to the manager who just stood behind the bar unbothered by everything just sipping his tea. Clearly he doesn’t care at all about customer satisfaction. The waitress who served us was great so we did leave her a tip, but the restaurant is not up to par. The toilets were the filthiest I have ever seen also. Overall- bad food, overcrowded, long waits, a kitchen that can’t manage the number of people they seat, a manager who doesn’t really care, and filthy disgusting toilets.

Poor service ,really slow, not impressed with food either, very bland. Makhani Handi was horrible! Not one member of staff had any sort of urgency. Very dissapointing visit. Wont be back, wouldnt recommend

We really enjoyed the breakfast at Mezbaan, it was a quick service and food was worth the price. I got Halwa Puri Breakfast which came with two puris, halwa, channa and aloo. All cooked fresh. Waiters were polite and made us feel welcomed. My husband got the chicken omelette and paratha and it was a big portion. Would defo come here again when we come Milton Keynes. Thank you for the service and time!

Food personally I wouldn't recommend wasn't upto mark there was no flavour or any tate to be honest. Ambience is good 👍 Services was okay as well.

Unfortunately, my experience here was quite disappointing. The cleanliness left much to be desired — there were tissues on the floor, and several tables around us were left uncleared with dirty plates, cups, and tissues from previous customers for over 30 minutes. This was despite the restaurant being relatively quiet and multiple staff members standing around doing very little. The staff in general seemed inattentive and unmotivated, which really impacted the atmosphere. The chapli kebabs were undercooked, possibly due to an inexperienced chef. On top of that, the pricing felt excessive — £15 for two small kobeda kebabs with no rice or naan is hard to justify. The atmosphere didn’t help either; the music kept cutting out, adding to an already unpleasant vibe. I get that it was a Monday, but that’s no excuse for the lack of basic service and attention to detail. If you're after a more authentic and enjoyable dining experience, I’d highly recommend Karwan in Luton — far better food, service, and overall value.

Google reviews mislead us. I went to enjoy dinner with my family which includes two infants. 1 - they did not have a high chair for one of my babies throughout the time we were there for. The one high chair we got was so dirty, I cleaned it with my wipes and honestly that got me thinking if my child should be sitting in that chair in the first place? Service was extremely slow, there was a long wait in between the courses. They served the main course with missing kids meal and upon enquiring we were told the item we ordered is unavailable and of we'd like to order something else. We did end up ordering something else but they still charged us for unavailable item....will I be going there again? NEVER!

Google reviews are extremely misleading. Food - was average, items missing from menu Atmosphere - Very crowded Service - Very slow customers were served with random delays. 1 hour between starter and main course. charged for item that were not even available.

Very friendly staff and great food!

Can't begin to explain how bad the food was. Saw all the positive reviews and assumed it would be a safe bet. Butter chicken was packed full of cardoman and despite Thier attempts to fix this it tastes like Karak Chai. Rest of the curries were soaked in sauce with very little meat and chicken. Super expensive for what it was and would not go back. Service was horrendous, staff could not understand what was wrong with the food and refused to taste it. Shambles of a place don't be fooled by the aesthetics.

Kheer was yummm. Amazing service and authentic food. Manvi was amazing to provide best suggestions for food. Great laughter and happy staff. Must visit.

Food was below average tbh, it all seem like it was reheated from the day before did not taste fresh as all, the service wasn’t great either, tall woman had the moodiest face on the entire time she was serving us not a single smile, they didn’t give out rice and tap water we asked for, For the cost I wouldn’t recommend this place at all, food quality, was like a cheap takeaway

Good food, nice dine out, must try once.

Loved the food served, Afghani roti was liked a lot by kids as it came 'hanging', the veg biryani was aromatic ,chicken boti was nicely charcoaled. On top was a full jug of mango lasso which was loved by all. Cost wise quite good as compared to many towns. We were well served and suggested .

Tables were dirty, plates weren't properly cleaned. Ordered family mixed grill, which said lamb chops on the menu, but it wasn't lamb. Do not recommend.

Such a disappointment wasn’t, our first experience but it is most certainly our last one! I did like the mixed grill but was wondering why it wasnt sizzling when it arrived. We wanted this as a starter but the staff brought our main course out whilst we were still eating the mixed grill. No salad to accompany our meal. We asked the waiter to let us finish the starter but he insisted on adding a table to our table so he could offload the main course. The main course it self lacked any sort of flavour and it was full of oil! I spent around £90+ but it’s really not worth it. I asked 2 waitresses to clear our table and they just said yes and walked away. A waiter then came over and asked if he could clear up our table - I don’t understand how they operate. The only reason why I’ve given a 2 star review is because the kheer was the best tasting dish. I wouldn’t recommend it. Save yourself the time and money and go elsewhere

The charsi lamb karhai is of the most authentic taste that I have tried in the UK so far.

We have been to Mezbaan a few times, and each time, we've been disappointed. Initially, we thought the food was great. So we went back, but our last visit on thursday evening was the worst so far. It's fair to say we won't be going back. We asked for the mixed grill as starter and that we would have the rest of our food after. We were still eating our starters, and we were given our mains, I asked them if they can bring the mains back after we'd finished the starters and the wairter said he could add another table to ours and put the mains on that which he did. Main's got cold while we are finishing our starters. There was nothing exceptional about the mains. Just like the starters, they were bland and barely tasted like anything. We had the chicken handi and the lamb Nihari. The chicken handi was meant to be medium spicy, and the lamb nahari was meant to be hot. They both taste exactly the same, and by the same, I mean they tasted like there were no spices in them at all. For dessert, we had kheer which was lovely, the kheer is always good and it's one of the reasons we kept going back. Overall, the service was terrible.We were ignored once we were seated, we had to ask them if we could place our order we had to ask if they could clean our table once we'd finished eating(twice) and we had to ask for our bill at the end as well. No one came up to our table to see if we were okay if we needed anything. We also noticed that other's tables were given free salad, and we were not, so we had to ask for this, too. There are not many Indian restaurants in Milton Keynes, which taste authentic. We thought Mezbaan was one of them, but it has been scratched off our list for good. Even the kheer can't bring us back anymore. All one stars but I would've rated it lower.

Visited mezbaan yesterday, food and service was amazing, the server abdul quayum was spectacular as he had vast knowledge of the menu and helped us pick the charsi chicken karahi which was flavourful and tasty, the service was fast and the food came quickly. Overall great experience and i will definitely be back

I've been here a few times as their food is great and conveniently near mk centre where it's hard to get near by halal restaurants. Recommend both single and family people. It's a shame staff are very slow to reach you and sometimes unable to explain or understand! Interior is modern, welcoming and comfortable.

Such a shame, was super excited but the food standard was low and overpriced. The lamb had to much fat and no flavour….the only thing nice was the family grill but all the flavours were old fashioned.

It is one of the best restaurants I have been in a very long time. I have tried several desi Pakistani restaurants. But this one, I can easier say, has been the best one of all - be it in London, Birmingham Leicester or Manchester. We were a family of 8, including adults, a teen, and kids. We ordered chapli kebabs, lamb charsi karahi, mix grill, chicken makhni handi, afghan naans with butter, roghni naan, garlic naan. And in dessert, the owner Waqas himself recommended gajar halwa (made of red carrots, not orange ones) and kheer. I can easily say that each one of these dishes and sweets carried its authentic taste, texture, fragrance, and tenderness. Best food I have had in a restaurant in a long time. Above all, it was on eid occasion when restaurants are super busy and it's very easy to lose quality. But everything at Mezbaan was "spot on". It was my first time at this restaurant, and I will definitely visit here again, InshaAllah. Very tasty food, good service, nice atmosphere. Well done to the chefs, waitresses, and the owner for giving their customers a memorable experience. 👏

We had our Eid dinner at this place in the hopes that supposedly this is similar to Karwan in Luton, but what a disappointment it was. Food was full of spices until you can’t even taste the actual meat just chillies. The mixed grill was not even charcoaled rather it was just seasoned on top and felt like cooked in a pot or something. The service was extremely poor and slow, we were served food first without any plates or cutlery, we had to keep on asking for plates as the food was getting cold and when they brought the plates and cutlery there was no sauces, no salad no napkins. We literally had to ask for each and every item and at the end had to grab napkins from the counter by ourselves. The whole experience was so poor, the food was a major let down and on top of that the slow service and the lack of attention made it worse. We will never go back again and would rather travel to Luton which is worth the trip for better tasting food, fast exceptional service and much cheaper in price.

Went for late lunch / early dinner. Service was good. Starters of Chicken Wings and Samosa Chat was very nice, Tempura Prawns were average. The main courses were not great. Chicken curry used chicken thighs, not breasts, so meat is not tender enough for my taste. Lamb curry, the lamb was nice. Both curries were somewhat more oily than we like. The Afghanistan Naan was large but flat rather than 'puffy', so that's a no from me. The portion size was good. So, it's probably worth a visit, but we won't be returning.

Ambiance is great. Staff well dressed but non- efficient. Taste is better than many desi restaurants in UK but not as outstanding as some other very rgood estaurants in the city. Served cold, looked already prepared not fresh... Unchi dokaan pheeka pakwaan. I can take some guests out there as the ambience is great, but when I want to eat good food served piling hot, melting in mouth id go to some other tried as tested place.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mezbaan during Ramadan, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. One of the highlights was the thoughtful gesture of providing complimentary fruits, fritters, and refreshing juice alongside dates. This small but meaningful touch truly enhanced the dining experience and made it feel special during this holy month. Please note: I felt the food is but overpriced but it may be due to the location. Overall, I highly recommend Mezban for anyone looking to enjoy a meal during Ramadan. The complimentary offerings were not only generous but also showcased the spirit of the season. I look forward to returning and experiencing more of their wonderful hospitality!

It's very nice place for food with out bookings

Probably the worst butter chicken I've had. It was like the chicken was pre cooked and then thrown in to the sauce at the end as the flavours hadn't infused in to the chicken. The food was not piping hot which lead me to believe something had been done in terms of cooking before it came to the table. No understanding of customer service, some items were thrown on to the table by the waiter as if they didn't want to be there. Would not recommend as its not worth the trip or money. Unfortunately hygien was lacking in so many areas and this is something that can't be over looked.

Staff was polite. Fruit given for opening fast.but main food lacked spices and salt. Was very bland. Mocktails were ok. Restaurant was nice set up.

Outstanding Service and Exceptional Dining Experience. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with warmth and care. We were hosting 50 plus guests (had to add few more last minute) The staff went above and beyond to ensure our experience was nothing short of perfect. As particular diners, we can be quite a handful, but the team handled our requests with patience, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm. Nothing was too much trouble for them—they accommodated every preference with a smile, making us feel truly valued. The food itself was absolutelly delicious and appreciated by our guests (from around the globe). A special mention to Abdul, Bhavia and Ayesha who went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy throughout our meal. Their kindness and attentiveness made all the difference. If you're looking for a place where the food is fantastic and the staff make you feel like VIPs, look no further. Thank you.

Had a lamb handi with garlic naan, tasted amazing and it wasn't too oily which is always a plus

Been here a few times now and have to stay they’ve never disappointed, the food is delicious, clean restaurant, beautiful interior reasonably priced and friendly service!

All the staff were good and especially Tina who was really kind and helpful with the menu and advised us accordingly since we were just visiting MK for the 1st time. She was very courteous, ensured that we were enjoying the meal and kept on checking if we had any concerns. Tina was able to also advice us on sugar free drinks since one of us had dietary restrictions. Ambience was perfect for a nice afternoon meal.

I wasnt sure what to order so i asked the waiter what she would recommend she recommend biriani and a couple of other things the chicken had so many bones it was terrible and was very spicy even though she said it was mild would never go there again. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I had a very disappointing experience at Mezbaan Restaurant. We went as a family, expecting a good meal, but everything fell short of expectations. The chicken was served cold, which was completely unacceptable. The chapli kebabs were chewy and undercooked, making them almost inedible. The lassi was bland, lacking both flavor and sweetness. On top of that, the service was terrible—the staff had a bad attitude and didn’t seem to care about customer satisfaction. To make matters worse, no chutney or salad was served, which should be standard with such meals. Overall, a terrible experience, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

A beautiful restaurant with parking right outside. The food is Excellent 👌. Everything was made to a delicious taste taking our request on how spicy we would like it. Appreciated that, as we have a toddler to feed to. The chicken charsi karahi was absolutely magnificent I enjoyed that a lot with the naan and tadoori roti. Staff are polite and friendly, also we’re very understanding with my daughter who’s 18months old. Needed some chips to keep her busy and they were so fast in arranging this. I fully recommend this when u come to Milton Keynes. In the desserts the Kheer was excellent. Very tasty. We come from Oxford so coming here is perfect.

I decided to try this restaurant after driving past and checking some Google reviews. Unfortunately, my experience did not match the positive feedback I had read. After placing my order, I was served a salad and some sauce while waiting for my food. To my shock, I found multiple hairs in the salad first one, which I thought might be a mistake, but then at least three more. This was unacceptable, and I immediately decided to leave without eating. I had washed my hands before eating and hadn't touched my phone or anything else, so the contamination was clearly not from me. The restaurant's hygiene standards were concerning the toilets were in poor condition, falling apart, and the floor was sticky. Additionally, the staff appeared careless, with one employee having long, uncovered hair hanging loosely while working. Proper hygiene and cleanliness are the foundation of any good restaurant, regardless of price or cuisine. I don’t mind paying even a few hundred pounds for a good dining experience, but cleanliness is non-negotiable. Unfortunately, this restaurant did not meet even basic hygiene standards, and I cannot recommend it.

The best desi restaurant in Milton Keynes, I came from London to eat here that's how good it is, best food and the best service thanks to abdul quayyam excellent service and the quayyam soda is the one, specially created by abdul (chus ah gee) , a must try and highly recommend to everyone.

Great place. Seemed to hassle us to finish quicker. Maybe ask the tables that have birthdays on to move on. Which was almost half the restaurant that night.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Authentic Lahori Taste & Outstanding Service Visited Mezbaan for the first time all the way from West London, and it was absolutely worth the trip! The Lahori Chicken Karahi was exceptional—rich, flavorful, and tasted just like the ones you’d find in Lahore. The Pina Colada was another highlight—creamy, high-quality, and expertly crafted by Abdul Kayum. A special mention to Ayesha, who provided outstanding customer service, making us feel truly welcomed. The hospitality, atmosphere, and authenticity of flavors make this place a must-visit. Will definitely be returning soon.
