Montego Bay Jamaican Restaurant in Blackpool

We booked our for 20:30 we arrived early they had us waiting for half an hour more than likely they over booked for me this type of service is unacceptable after waiting that long we left and went elsewhere

Jerk and BBQ wings and dumpling were delicious. Not busy with customers but the staff were great the service was nice. Had some Wray and nephew jamaican white rum whilst waiting for our food. Nice place to visit if your staying close by.

Not the worst food, by no means the best either. Buffet and a drink was very expensive. Especially for Dixon Road Blackpool. Can't remember the exact price, it was some time back. I told my B&B owners they were startled! They said they would not pay if it was them. Turtle bay is cheaper and better. London has some quality Caribbean food, I'm all ears for Blackpool's good Caribbean food?

It's been a long time - we were in Blackpool for a backgammon tournament held at the Imperial in June - but this great little place really deserves a review. There was me and my friend and my 2 sons. We were pretty hungry at 5 pm on a Friday night and found Montego Bay while out wandering. The restaurant is a family affair and we were the only diners but the folks were friendly and the bar was open. The food is wonderful, cooked to order, large portions and we ate everything put in front of us. We recommended it to anyone who would listen and 2 other mates went the following evening to have "the buffet". This is, basically, everything on the menu. They were more than happy and you will be too.

What a superb little place this is. The staff and owners are so attentive and want your experience to be a success and it always is. The menu is excellent and ridiculously good value. The food is incredible and so tasty. The drinks are so traditional to the Jamaican theme and again, very reasonable. Its a joy to dine here. Only very slight down side, is when we were there, there were some young children, we guess from the owners or staff, who far from being unruly were just playing, but we just felt that a professional working restaurant might not be the best place for them being there and running about a bit, but we accept not everyone can get a childminder every time and Jamaican's are very family oriented, so they may not have even thought about it . But that apart, absolutely excellent. And kids or not, we will be back!!
