We had to wait till the man who cooks dinar to come, as the woman who was there could unfortunately not prepare our coffee and hot chocolate. Inexperienced and staff with bad attitudes killed the day.

Was aiming for Upton House with friend who haven't seen for two years. The House was closed due to unforeseen circumstances but they recommended we try here. We weren't disappointed. Only ones in the place. Great drinks and food, friendly staff. Even when they had to close up, they didn't rush us out but allowed us to use their outdoor seating area as long as we wanted afterwards. Good service. Approach and car park a bit rough but toilets clean. Can't fault this place. Would like to return.

Myself and a group of mature motorcyclists visited at lunch time we found the cafe setting relaxed and well presented. The quality of the food was excellent and the range of coffees good. The interior is welcoming with a family area ,and a section with tables/seating in a large space with tasteful decor .Waitress service and fairly prompt in delivery. The staff were delightful. Certainly would recommend a visit. Ian Paskin Bromsgrove.

Walked here from our holiday accommodation up the road. Busy little place with walkers, cyclists and locals. In a strange place on an industrial park but has a huge outdoor area with ample seating, perfect in the recent hot weather. Friendly and prompt service, we only had (good) coffee and cake but they also do breakfasts, sandwiches and baked potatoes.

A little off the main road - but easy to get to. Excellent for coffee and cakes plus Panini, baps (veggie and meat options). It is open limited hours, but come in the morning / lunchtime. Big area to sit outside and inside. Dogs welcome.

Signage on roadside (cafe itself is around 200 - 300m from the roadside down a track made of what looks like gravel and tarmac plannings) states cafe open till 3.00 pm. So we were very surprised to be declined food when we turned up at 2.05pm - apparently they stop serving food at 2.00pm. Drinks and some cakes only from then. We were touring on a motorbike so probably took 5 minutes or more to travel down their track and then to take all our gear off - only to then be told we were 5 minutes too late. Poor service.

I’m tempted to not write this review because I don’t want everyone to know how good this place is and make it too busy! 🤣 Delicious food & coffee. V friendly service. Gorgeous outdoor seating area (we brought a picnic blanket for us and our baby!). And a really nice walk to Shennington from here. We’ve been many times and we will continue to come! Congratulations on a brilliant cafe 😊

I was passing and saw the sign. I work for the NHS out and about in the community and was really looked after by the 2 lovely ladies there- wonderful coffee, and delicious carrot cake. Very COVID safe - one customer at a time, some nice outdoor space too. Highly recommended Thank you ladies - you brightened my day

Wonderful to see normality starting to return. Because of the precautions they are taking, one enters the premises with complete confidence. Rock on complete normality (whatever form that might take)! Thank you and good luck

The Team have surpassed themselves even in lockdown. The coffee quality remains unchanged at the top of the bush. Both the bacon and sausage take-away butties are delicious. Although Anna has the ability to get more sausages into a butty than anyone else I know, even they are surpassed by the bacon variant. It’s to die for! Thank you both for keeping going.

In the locality for a funeral at the natural burial site, we were looking for somewhere for a spot of lunch in the middle of nowhere. The address does not inspire confidence, and to say you are unlikely to stumble on this place by accident is an understatement. Even following the signs, and arriving in what appeared to be a farm yard we still couldn't see the entrance at first glance (go left!!)Once there, however, what a delightful place. A pleasant area to sit outside, and a wood-filled, monkey-themed modern but retro interior. Standard paninis, baguettes and usually jacket potatoes (not on the day we were there) etc. Service was friendly and swift and we were very pleased with the size of portions and the quality and presentation. The baguettes were so huge we had to eat them in two halves: you couldn't bite a mouthful off -well, not elegantly! Everywhere was spotlessly clean, and we would recommend this as a stop off whether en route to a funeral or not -but set the Satnav as you'll never just 'find' it!

Surprising find on an organised walk yesterday on a small industrial estate of all places!. Lovely, clean, stylish cafe with extremely helpful, friendly and efficient staff. Moist almond and orange cake was best cake I've had in a very long time! Would definitely make a detour to visit this little gem.

Lucky to find this little gem today on a walk. Excellent large bread roll filled with salmon mix. I'd call it a meal with all the bits and bobs added voluntarily by the helpful staff. Pleasant and clean premises quirkily housed in a barn.

I found this great little place by accident after dropping a trailer in the yard around the corner, I was recommended the monkey bean coffee shop by another driver. I was pleasantly surprised to find this beautifully decorated little place in a unit tucked away in the corner, was welcomed when I entered had a lovely coffee and bacon bap. Would highly recommend these guys if your ever local.

Come on people! If a good cup of coffee and a belting bap to set the day off is what you are after served by lovely people then this absolutely fits the bill. Anna and co do the various coffees and bites superbly. If you do stuff well, as they say, people will come. Only a pleasant walk away as well.

From the outside, the Swan Inn might appear to be a simple village pub, but step inside, and you’re in for an extraordinary experience. Upon entering, we were immediately impressed by the open view of the professional kitchen, where chefs could be seen meticulously preparing dishes. It was clear right away that this was not just another gastro pub. We were warmly welcomed and seated, and our waiter, Joe, guided us through the menu with care and clarity. His thoughtful explanations made choosing our dishes an enjoyable experience. Before our starters arrived, we were treated to freshly baked bread served with two types of butter: honey and malt. The combination was sensational and set the tone for what was to come. For starters, I had the venison, which was incredibly tender – it melted with a single fork stroke. The flavours were perfectly balanced, allowing the venison to truly shine. A delightful surprise was the inclusion of two mini onion rings, lightly battered and utterly delicious. My wife opted for the burrata, complemented by a delicate candied orange peel. It was a brilliant pairing, and we’ve already decided to replicate it at home. For mains, I had the rib-eye steak, cooked to a flawless medium-rare. The quality was outstanding – a well-hung steak that true steak lovers will immediately recognize as exceptional. My wife chose the Thai curry, which was a masterclass in balance. Unlike many other curries, this one wasn’t overwhelmed by cream; instead, the fresh, fragrant ingredients took centre stage. If The Swan Inn were located in a more densely populated area, I have no doubt it would be booked out weeks in advance. It’s a hidden gem that delivers in every way. We loved every second and will absolutely be returning. Five stars, without a doubt.
