Wouldn't allow solo traveller go for a quiet pint. Was in the area for a sporting event alone, just wanted a Guinness. Racist bouncers

Bouncers were very mean during and after lights on - refused to quickly search for my wallet that I'd left in the building. Another person had left something of his in there too, and he was punched and kicked when he repeatedly asked for them to search for it. I was also scratched. Went back the next afternoon to ask if they had seen it, and they called me and my friend annoying for politely asking for them to search. Very patronising and absolutely no empathy for an upset girl who just lost her ID, UCard, and bank cards in their building. They quickly, and definitely not thoroughly, checked for my wallet, and told me they didn't have it. When we asked whether we could leave a number so they can call if it turns up, they said no. They said we'd just have to ring again, though I'd bet they'd find that 'annoying'. While it's possible someone stole my wallet, I doubt they would. It was more of a card holder, which have all been frozen and are therefore useless. It had no cash in it, and my ID/UCard are not items of desire. I am also certain it was left in this building, as it was the only one my friend and I went to that night, and I needed my ID/wallet to get in. Obviously not their fault that I had lost it/had it stolen, but the treatment of their customers is not good, and I am quite sure they still have my wallet. Shame because it was otherwise a good night.

Bouncers are absolutely disgusting, shoving girls for no reason, even on the public path outside. Homophobic towards my friend and just blatantly on a power trip. Just general disgusting behaviour from all of them.

Really disgusted with the treatment my friend received from the bouncers on Saturday night. After being approached and antagonised by a group of lads, my friend asked the bouncers for some help. Unbelievably the bouncers decided to turn on my friend and escorted him out, making quite a scene in the process. When challenged the only possible conclusion we can come to is that the bouncers were being homophobic, and therefore continuing the actions of the horrendous lads we were trying to get away from in the first place. This is not ok. The actions of these men have done damage beyond belief, what might seem to be a laugh and a power trip to them at the time is potentially life destroying to people.

The bouncers here are rude, arrogant and patronising. A situation occurred yesterday where a young lad was trying to cause trouble with myself. I walked up to a bouncer and asked for help and was actually taken outside myself and not allowed back in. The bouncer who dealt with the situation was clearly friends with the guy inside and dealt with the situation wrongly. I was made to feel humiliated and if I’m honest because of my sexuality the bouncer had an issue with me. This situation has cause me emotional stress and has caused several panic attacks today. I am disappointed that when I reached out for help it was not given. The power trip of the bouncers they have working at your establishment is shocking.

Keep away. Avoid like the plague. Apparently, wearing a Stone Island top is a signal to them of hooliganism. I’m a man in his 40’s, out celebrating his wife’s 50th. A couple. We got denied entrance cause of my top. Absolutely joke. Doormen need a personality lobotomy. We happily moved on. Spent our cash elsewhere.

So my husband and I (in our mid forties) were not allowed in on s Saturday afternoon fir a drink because my husband was wearing a white polo neck top with stone island logo! I asked why and the bouncers said “because it’s a sign of hooligans” 😳 I think this is disrespectful and degrading!! What a joke of a place 😡😡. Anyway, we went to the road and spent a fortune elsewhere. 💰 £££ Guys - sort your stupid policy out !!!!

Love this bar. The bouncers just ruin it for everyone. I go to Uni of Sheff and everyone I speak to feels the same, great bar and shocking bouncers who are not only incompetent but practically endevour to ruin your night. Would reccommened going but expect a battle on the door sadly.

Went out in a large group of around 15 and everyone was admitted entry other than our trans friend who was the only sober one. We asked them to give a reason why and all they could come up with was come back in half an hour. They said she wasn’t stumbling or slurring her words and couldn’t provide any explanation to the denial of the entry. When the rest of the group came out to join us the bouncers went to other establishments down west street and told them to not admit our friend either. We were visibly upset but not rowdy or agressive when discussing this with them and the only explanation we could come up with is blatant transphobia. Horrible night that has ramifications beyond the bouncers imagination to our friend who is likely to be affected by this situation for years to come

Great Irish pub with friendly staff and live music worth listening to. The volume goes way up, so casual talking is challenging. Still a great experience. Decent and polite safety-staff present. The pub is carefully and appropriately decorated.

i love mollys but today i have experienced awful service. i am 18 and clearly look my age, also with other friends who are 18 yet charged £7.60 as a student for a double vodka lime and soda. my friend ordered a double vodka and lemonade and was changed £2.95. when i asked why i was over charged the bartender rudely replied ‘you didn’t show student id’ to which i responded ‘neither did my friend’ and she walked off. i went to another lady on the bar and said i have been over charged by nearly £5 on a drink to which she replied ‘you didn’t show student id’ i said again that neither did my friend to which this young and unprofessional bartender replied ‘that is not my problem’ and started whispering to her colleague. i find this type of service disgraceful, coming from working in hospitality myself i cannot understand why people think it is okay to be so rude to me as it was clearly their mistake they are trying to cover up. i am a struggling student and will not be coming back to mollys and will not be recommending to a friend as the staff are so awful and clearly not trained well in customer service.

Staff are very friendly, a nice pub in general, imo good for Friends or taking parents to… beer choice was okay

Don’t waste your time or money going to this place because one of 2 reasons the bouncers will push you around like you’re a rag doll. And secondly they have no empathy a. Girl had fallen on the floor she was covered in blood and had a nasty cut to her head I asked him to phone an ambulance where he refused. Then proceeded to tell us to move away from the f***ing door. I asked him respectfully what’s your name where he then refused to give it to me as I wanted to report him. When I tried to see his name badge he pushed me another bouncer came behind me and held my arms and he punched me whilst I was being held. They then shoved me to the floor and he put my foot in a 90 degree angle lock( it is very swollen now) and the other had his foot on my stomach I told them repeatedly you’re hurting me and they laughed. He then went on to be patronising calling me fat and commenting on my appearance. I wouldn’t go back to this bar even if it was the last one on this planet. I’m covered in bruises I’ll attach the photos or what you’ll look like after going here on a night out . They definitely take advantage of their power and of drunk people. Mollys read your reviews everyone is saying the same thing about your bouncers do something about it before someone gets seriously injured or you lose all your customers.

Popped in for our first pint in Sheffield City Centre and it was a friendly welcome and nice pint of John Smiths, got a good table in a booth, lots of screens to watch sport on and some good music playing, me and my dad had a good pint.
