Shocked this place has more than a couple of stars. Maybe because we booked same day and was 8 of us but this is by far the worst Indian we had ever had. Complimentary popadoms 2 basket of 8 what looked like pop crisps (tiny discs) starter were average and no sauces to accompany. 45 minute wait for the mains. We were all starving couldn’t wait to try food only for it all to taste the same. Keema rice and korma were so spicy and curry watery, had specifically asked for sweet and creamy. Nan bread swimming in oil. Vile. No one’s meals came together some of us were done when others were waiting. Even the sides didn’t come along with curry or grills so those of us who actually ate, ate meal separately . We’d ordered 4 fries and got McCains crinkled cut oven chips deep fried. One of which was supposed to be masala fries, they just chucked some season on. Same with chilli cheese fries bit of seasoning and grated cheese. Vile. Service shocking too. One guests couldn’t eat at all because of spice level annd oil everywhere and lady was rude and huffy when he wouldn’t order anything else, tried still billing us the meal before he raised it. Never again worse £223 spent. We love Indian food and visited here just for a change and new experience. Stick to what you know. It’s also freezing in there we ate in coats.

We have been twice now and both times the food has been amazing, best naan bread we’ve ever had! Very nice homely feel, staff are so friendly and Bhavi even gave us a Christmas card. We were so impressed we actually booked to come back on Christmas Day!

Review for Bhavi’s Kitchen I visited Bhavi’s Kitchen today for dinner with friends, and overall, the food was a mix of highs and lows. The taste of the dishes was mostly authentic, and I must say, as a first-timer, I genuinely enjoyed the Vegetable Dum Biryani. It was one of the rare times I felt it was a proper veg biryani, full of flavor. My friends, who opted for the non-veg dishes, were quite happy with their choices and particularly enjoyed the Flying Buffalo beer a superb drink that’s definitely worth trying. However, the experience wasn’t perfect. The naan we ordered was disappointing; instead of being soft and buttery, it was crispy. The Mango Lassi, unfortunately, was even worse it lacked both flavor and taste, making it undrinkable. When it came to service, my experience was divided. One of the ladies, who I believe is the co-owner and chef, stood out. She showed genuine passion for her work and ensured we were taken care of throughout. Her hospitality and warmth left a very positive impression. On the other hand, the male co-owner (possibly her husband) completely ruined the experience. When we politely raised our concerns about the lassi and requested the removal of the service fee, his behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional. He refused to listen to us, blamed us for the issue, and spoke with a tone that was far from acceptable. It felt like he was only there to collect money, without any care for customer satisfaction this was especially disappointing considering how pricey the meal was (averaging around £36 per person). In the end, the evening, which started on a good note with great food and drinks, was spoiled by the unnecessary rudeness and lack of decency shown by one person. Bhavi’s Kitchen has great potential and some standout food, but customer experience is equally important, and this incident left a sour taste.

I visited Bhavi’s Kitchen today with friends for dinner, and while the food was mostly great, the overall experience was disappointing due to poor service. Starting with the positives, the non-veg dishes were excellent. The Naga Chicken, Maharaja Mutton, and Chicken Dum Biryani were flavorful and cooked perfectly. The highlight of the evening for me was the Flying Buffalo beer—absolutely superb and a must-try for anyone visiting the restaurant. That said, there were some letdowns. The naan was not up to the mark; instead of being soft and buttery, it was crispy. The Mango Lassi was another big disappointment—completely lacking in taste and flavor, to the point that it was undrinkable. While one of the co-owners, a lady who is also the chef, provided warm and passionate service, the male co-owner completely ruined our experience. When we politely raised a complaint about the lassi and requested to remove the service fee, he was shockingly rude. Instead of addressing our concerns, he blamed us and refused to listen, treating us with zero respect. His attitude left a bad impression, especially given the hefty bill (£36 per person on average). The food at Bhavi’s Kitchen is truly authentic and enjoyable, and I would have left with a great impression if not for the poor customer service. It’s a shame that such behavior overshadowed what could have been an excellent dining experience.

I didn’t realise this gem excited, happened upon Bhavi’s kitchen by accident and what a happy one it was! I’ve not found many truly authentic Indian food in Corby, mostly all filled with sugar and under seasoned. The food here was beautiful! Had the mutton Biryani and the Bombay Fish curry, both were very well cooked, filled with flavour and thoroughly enjoyed! The staff are very friendly and helpful, very question I asked about the curry was answered without hesitation and left me feeling confident to try the food. Will definitely be eating at Bhavi’s again!

Lovely little restaurant with beautiful Indian decor. Food was excellent. Traditional style of Indian food, which we both love. Having visited India on many occasions, and been fortunate to find in both simple & “Top End” Restaurants, we were really impressed. Wine List was excellent - such a pleasant change to see such a great and varied wine list in Corby, that included dessert wines! Service was good, staff were very lovely. 10 / 10 in all respects and we will definitely return.

We didn't go to the restaurant, however we've ordered takeaway from Bhavis We've decided to try the food from this place before we order our food for Diwali family celebration. Prices are quite high for the amount of food you are getting. Kadai chicken curry had only 4 small pieces of chicken, but to bulk it up, it had lots of undercooked peppers. Chicken 65 ... I had many times this dish in India, and unfortunately, this wasn't the dish I knew. It was a lovely cooked chicken, but this is not chicken 65 and was really missing ginger. Malabar biryani, I can see you opted for raising and cashews version, but it was missing the soul, and I would love to see more chicken, especially on the bone. I had again 3 small pieces of diced chicken breast. And for the price, you are expecting something more. Raita had only onions. I thought you might drop a few cucumber pieces. Naan bread was very thin and very underwhelming. And lastly, tandoori chicken was just a normal roasted chicken .. again, 3 drumsticks? Really? I understand that we had takeawa, but surely this represents what you can expect from dine in. Overall, it wasn't bad food but not the standard I would expect from restaurant which advertise themselves as good home cooked food. Sadly, our diwali food we will be getting from Leicester. With addition of our home cooked Aviya.

As fellow Asians, we know what good Asian food should taste like, and this is as far from good as you can imagine! The biriyani was tasteless, with the chicken so dry and having no flavour. We also ordered a Ghost Naga, and it tasted so bland. Also, no salad or poppadoms included, which is standard with Indian takeaways. £30 for what? Absolutely, tasteless, flavourless, and with no value for money! I EXPECT A REFUND!!! Absolute rubbish.

Ordered a takeout on Sunday. Very tasty meal with big chunks of lamb. The rice was a plain Pilau rice but quite fragrant. The lamb samosas and Paratha were tastier than what is usually found. The service was very friendly and obliging. Certainly recommend.

Really good food, ordered through JustEat for the first time, I am really amazed to see this very small Indian restaurant in Corby. With Chicken Biryani they give yoghurt raita and mirchi ka salan which is so Indian.

We were looking forward to trying this new Indian takeaway so decided to order on Friday evening. The ordering process on the phone was a little painful, the lady was confusing. Managed to place the order in the end. Ordered a chicken rogan josh which I couldn't eat,the whole dish just tasted of vinegar? No veg in it at all not even onions.Weird, never tasted anything like it. The rice was ok, was white pilau. The naan was really bad, hard in the middle and undercooked along the edges, I actually gave it to my dog and he spat it out as well as it was so chewy. Never had a naan like it. The husband had a lamb madras and said it was OK, only 4 small chunks of lamb, same as my 4 small chunks of chicken in the rogan josh. He opted for garlic naan which was same as mine, was like cardboard in the middle and under done around the outside. I have never before binned a takeaway but I just couldn't eat this one, my husband had a few mouthfuls of his and binned the rest too. Waste of money. I can only hope that maybe this is teething issues due to it being brand new but I would have thought they would have made sure they were ready before opening and surely as its so quiet at the moment as its new, it would be the best time to try their food when they aren't rushing. Won't be returning

Had a fantastic dining experience ordering from Moanv. Online ordering is very easy and the food arrived on time. One of the rare times where you feel the cost of the meal is just right. Portion sizes were great compared to the miserly amounts you sometimes get at similar restaurants. We have ordered 3 different dishes and enjoyed all, I particularly liked Lam rogan Josh. We will definitely order again.

This was my second time ordering from Moanv and it was just as special as the first. The service is impeccable, staff are friendly, thoughtful and knowledgeable about the food. Nothing is too much for them. The food is outstanding. The portions are just right and every bite is packed with flavour. Plus there are small sides in addition to the main meals, as well as delicious, freshly baked naan bread. Once again an amazing experience from start to finish. Thank you we will definitely order again soon.

Ordered takeaway from Ali’s last night. Have been going to Ali’s or ordering from them for the last 10years plus! Ordered my usual curry. When delievered couldn’t eat it as was far too hot. Was definitely not the same curry I usually order. Called Ali’s and the response I got was awful! Stated they wouldn’t replace/ refund because I found it a little too hot! Explained this is not the curry I ordered! Was completely inedible. They stated nothing they can do. Stated “your not the only one to order that curry, no one else has had a problem with it” and they tried to say that the chef has not changed the recipe! explained wasn’t being awkward, and asked to speak to manager, told manager wasn’t there “but Iv told his wife and she doesn’t want to talk to you” absolutely disgusting customer service! Due to book for two big family birthdays coming up but will take our money elsewhere. Total waste of money and incredibly poor service.
