Absolutely our favourite place to get breakfast in wickford. The mist breakfast is great value, and the ingredients used are really good quality. Really friendly staff make for a really nice experience everytime we go in.

I can’t believe just how good the food and service is wow I loved it really nice food at a fantastic price .. Not like other restaurants not to far from mist .. staff are fantastic absolutely 5 star food and staff

It is clear that everything is made here with very high quality ingredients, and cooked very well. Good service (no complaints), and just generally a nice place to eat. One companion called it 'one of the best breakfasts I've ever had'.

Went tonight as a spur of the moment choice as I've previously been just for coffee, and how pleased I was! I'm gluten free and had the chicken de la creme, my partner had the lamb and his dad had the carbonara(which could have been made gluten free) and everyone really enjoyed their food!! Good portion sizes, decent sized menu and lovely wait staff, will definitely be coming back ♥️

Had a lovely lunch meal. Food was quickly served, hot and fresh. Service was efficient and friendly and the interior decor was very cosy aswell as some great natural light! Would highly recommend.

Nice people, been many times, prices are ok. Until today, ordered peri melt for £6.90, asked for additional chicken, and they charged additional £5.50. Personally wasn’t sure where the additional chicken was as the serving should have been that size for the £6.90. When asked why so much just got gibberish as a reason. Good place, just don’t have additional because your arm gets taken with it lol..

Mist cafe bistro is my partner and I's favourite place for lunch in wickford, very friendly staff, and always great food. Service is always good! Food is very tasty and well priced, and they cater for all. Would recommend if you are passing by!

Finally a decent cafe in Wickford that uses decent ingredients. Only let down is the bubble very basic. Try adding Savoy cabbage to the mix 😋 very nice though, friendly staff, clean environment 👌

This place is such a cracker! Lovely decor, available to sit in or out, easy access for prams and wheelchairs. Good menu selection including alcohol. Staff are super helpful and happy to make changes or suggestions for your choices. Definitely not the cheapest, but it's definitely good quality food. Only downside is the toilets are up a lot of stairs.

Lovely evening meal and cocktails. The only negative thing is that the service was rushed. One of us was still eating their starter when the mains arrived. Other than that all very good.

First time here. Been dying to try it. Had the salt beef sandwich on sourdough. Everything, the salad garnish, coleslaw and sandwich were delicious. As for the salt beef, WOW! And the best part …it comes from our very own resident butcher J Clark & sons. What a combination!! Will definitely be back.

Great new place. Enjoyed the Mist breakfast and even more so the felafel and halloumi wrap. Loos were a little industrial (although more the corridor than the loos themselves which were nice). The tea was industrial too! (came well brewed and could have done with some water to make another cup, but it was good anyway). Just a few points for feedback really - was great as it was. Excellent value, lovely venue. Attentive cheerful staff, great quality plentiful food.

Went for lunch on a Saturday. Its the first time we've been there and it was really lovely. The food was great (we had the chicken piri burger, and Mediterranean panini). Lovely decor and really relaxed atmosphere. All the staff were very friendly and attentative. Highly recommend.

What a lovely little find today. My Auntie & I had lunch at Mist cafe bistro. We ordered the Hot Salt beef sandwich and a Cheese & Mushroom omelette Both meals were absolutely delicious and presented beautifully. The staff were all really lovely making room for my Auntie in her wheelchair. We will definitely be back again soon. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Thanks so much!

Very quiet when we visited, the starters very good, one of the steak meals was a bit tuff

Took my mum for her birthday, and the thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The staff were attentive and offered cocktail recommendations, to which the barman created some cocktails that weren't on the menu for us. Great atmosphere, and would definitely recommend!

My family and I came here last night for my Mums birthday after her suggesting it having previously been for lunch....well we were ALL very impressed. Lovely decor, great atmosphere and the service was fantastic, friendly and attentive staff who despite it being busy were never far from hand to take food/ drink orders, check we were o.k, clear glasses etc. We had a variety of different starters, mains and desserts and ALL were high quality and delicious. The portions are HUGE. Mist is a massive positive addition to Wickford and we look forward to returning. Thanks to all at Mist for a lovely evening.

It was our first visit as a tryout, we just had a coffee each, hence no stars for food this time, as none was ordered. Lovely venue with beautiful and excellent quality decor with a distinct Mediterranean feel, together with pleasant, friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Very nice coffee. We like this place, so will be returning. We wish this business all the very best and many happy years of successful trading! Update: Following on from our first visit (see above), we've now returned for our second visit (around lunchtime on 22 June) and this time ordered food, hence there's now stars for food! We both ordered an onion omelette and chips with salad garnish. A decent size omelette and good size portion of chips with a lovely salad garnish with at least 6 different salad ingredients. All very good and tasty! We happily and highly recommend this lovely bistro/restaurant. Thankyou, lovely people, we'll see you again to try something different from your extensive menu!

Great chicken shnitzel burger and the full english is good too

It was nice there and have been twice but the second time unfortunately was not as good as the first visit. My breakfast was nice but my wife’s jacket potato with bolognaise must of been heated up several times as it was like mash. Had to ask for more hot water in my tea as it was only half full. A disappointing lunch

Had lunch here today. Food was lovely. Staff was lovely and couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful, there was a great atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back

Really long wait times for food. Overpriced for very basic food.

First time and last time will not be going back. Three of us had a breakfast Food and service was not good Mushroom and eggs not cooked properly and bacon and toast over cooked no staff checked to see if we was ok then when paying the bill we said about the food to the blonde hair waitress which she started to argue instead of apology then she stormed off and then was talking about us to her other friend waitress with blonde hair who kept looking at us. Will not be using again

Great cafe. We both had the early breakfast it was delicious all freshly cooked and fantastic sourdough bread toast. Staff very attentive and friendly We will be back.

Saw lots of recommended and would love to support local business so I took my kids went for a breakfast this morning. We ordered one iced coffee, one milkshake, two kid meals and one early breakfast. In fact the iced coffee was fab! But when we finishes for the bill I was shocked! Two kid meals they charge me two normal meals price. My kids one is 5 and one is 8, how come I order a normal portion size for my 5 years old kid? We definitely ask for two kid meals but end up was different prices. I choose to paid this bill because we ate the foods and I don’t want to be a trouble customer. I might will come for a cup of coffee in the future but won’t come back for a £40 breakfast again.

Great new venue. Really enjoyed our meal there and lovely, helpful, warm and friendly staff. Cocktails looked lovely and could see they were made well. Definitely go there again for drinks and eats with friends.

Eaten here for two consecutive weekends for brunch. Lovely food, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Fantastic addition to Wickford High Street. Looking forward to returning one evening to try out their cocktails.

Although I visited the restaurant during a quiet morning (Bank Holiday Monday 29th May 9am) , the service was unexpectedly slow. The quality of the food was average, and I had to remind the waitresses multiple times to bring out the items that were missed. The decor downstairs is pleasant and well-maintained, but unfortunately, the trip to the upstairs toilets felt like walking into an unfinished construction site, and the toilet itself was quite dirty. Considering the overall experience, I regret to say that I won't be returning to this restaurant. The Wickford Diner, in comparison, offers superior food and service that I find more satisfying. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback constructively and makes the necessary improvements to enhance the dining experience for future customers.

Dropped in to check out the new cafe and found it a really well designed, comfortable seating inside and roomy to fit our pram in. We had a full English and eggs which were tasty and cooked perfectly. Quality of the produce was clear and couldn't fault it. Keen to come back over lunch and dinner to test out some of the other menu items.

Nice garlic bread. The reason for only four stars was the rubbish that had accumulated by the outside table area. Some of this seemed to have fallen from the nearby bin. There was plastic wrappings, napkins, and dirty paper laying everywhere. I appreciate this wasn't all rubbish from the bistro, but I would have expected the staff to sweep it up. I picked up some of the rubbish and put it in the bin as it wasn't pleasant sitting with it all blowing around.

We visited for brunch on Sunday morning and wasn’t disappointed. We regularly go for breakfast/brunch on the weekend and have found our new favourite. Great service, really good quality food and efficient service despite being busy. Thank you!
