What an absolute gem. Lots of seating without feeling over crowded in this lovely little cafe. Everything home baked and prepared to order. Small menu but goodness me, executed with the highest of standards and beautifully presented and extremely reasonably priced. The staff are amazing, so polite and helpful. There is seating outside at the rear as well as front of house and the whole ambiance is jolly, happy and peaceful all rolled into one. The toilets are super amazing, clean and the highest of standards clearly continue through to housekeeping not just culinary. It was an absolute pleasure to come to this cafe, which is welcoming, dog friendly and the cakes, goodness, homemade and enticing. What’s not to like. Thank you, we will be back xx

What a great find . Such a lovely warm welcome from walking in the door . The sign said to ask about the cheese on toast. I did. I bought. I ate. I went back for more. The service was friendly and naturally efficient. A real sense of pride in their work was evident. The atmosphere was very relaxing. Great pictures on the wall. Great background music, not too loud. Everything you could want from a little independent cafe and all done perfectly well. Hope it's still there next time we visit the area

I walked the Fylde Coast on the loveliest February day. It felt surreal sitting outside on one of the pavement tables in front of this little cafe. Normally I miss out on the best micro coffee shops as they are deservedly packed, so it felt like a win just to be able to sample the Mirrie Dancer, which has incredible reviews. Could it live up to expectations when some random geezer arrives on a random off-season morning? It sure could. An efficient foreign lady brought me out a superb Americano coffee and an equally superb scone and butter. The scone was a massive, irregularly shaped sculpture, with large purple blossoms of blueberry dappled here and there onto a perfectly textured dough. One scone's hardly a snack for me; but this was a substantial beast. On a different level from most scones you'll get in a cafe. Every bite a delight. So glad I dropped in. Scone and coffee in the mellow February sun: zen!

Bright and colourful, a happy place to be! Despite arriving 15 mins before closing we were warmly welcomed in for tea and cake. Try getting that kind of service anywhere else Delicious Coffee & Walnut and Victoria Sponge cakes, moist and light were perfectly accompanied by tea in proper bone china teacups. Looking forward to the next visit already!

A great place, where the staff are so friendly, the scones are properly home made and they welcomed our dog like the guest of honour. Lexi had her fill of biscuits. Best place for a drink, cake or sandwich

Popped in for coffee and scones. Waited ages for our order to be taken. People that came in after us got orders taken before us. In fact before we ordered they brought food out to our table. Our coffee got taken to the table near ours. When the staff realised their mistake the y picked up the coffees (one of which had been stirred) and plonked them in front of us with a dirty spoon and saucer. The scone to be fair was beautiful and the coffee good.Looking around , a tray got taken outside, unloaded onto a table only to be loaded up again as another mistake occurred. If it was the first few weeks of being open it would be forgivable but it’s been there about a year! Shame but won’t be hurrying back

We called for coffee on the recommendation of our B & B and what a fantastic recommendation it turned out to be! Our coffees were perfect. Mine was extra hot and with a great flavour but, at the same time, not too strong whilst my friend had decaf. I’m trying to lose weight and decided to forgo a sweet treat but my friend also had a scone which, she said, was lovely and fresh. All the cakes and pastries looked as if they were to die for and, at one point, I thought I’d be prepared to take the chance! It was a close call but, helped by our charming and witty waiter, who confirmed that I could look at all the goodies without any charge (!!), I managed to resist. This is a gorgeous coffee shop, with a lovely atmosphere and the most fabulous owner and staff. The loo was spotlessly clean too which is always a good sign. We left, knowing where we’d be getting our caffeine fix (me anyway, as my friend drinks decaf!) next time we’re in St Annes. This particular Mirrie Dancer is a real shimmering delight!

Been here a few times and never disappoints you, staff couldn’t be more obliging. Even with a 92 year old lady with a walking frame they make allowances for her seating. The cakes and coffee are Devine. I’m slowly working my way through each one 😱. Now doing light lunches I must try also. The prices are value for money, If your in st Anne’s don’t miss without a visit, you will be glad you called.

This is, without doubt, the best cafe in St Annes (and there is a lot of competition!!). Lovely tea and coffee, cakes and scones to die for but the most outstanding thing are the lovely people who work there and make the whole place feel like one big happy family. We love it and I am sure you will too!!

This is my favourite cafe in St Anne's. Friendly staff and great relaxing music. Great choice of lovely fresh homemade scones and tray bakes at very reasonable prices, unlike some of the factory produced rubbish offered as 'homemade' at some other cafes! Thank you Merrie Dancer team for brightening up those Winter Blues! 😎

Moved from big city and have great difficulty finding eating places with a difference. Elvin's is like an oasis in a desert providing great tasty food. There are not many very original places like this in Fylde.
