Ming Garden in Epping Forest

Fancied a Chinese with my boyfriend was the best take away food was 100 percent. Would definitely recommend this Chinese, and I’ve had top class Chinese. This was good 👍

Only Chinese restaurant in Buckhurst Hill. When I say restaurant I actually mean take-away. All very 70s look. Cash only no cards. Despite this the food is pretty good. We've been using it for six years now so they're doing something right .

Old school takeaway. Cash only. Not cordon bleu but what do you expect from a local Chinese takeaway. Call and pick up in 15 mins on Queens Rd, no delivery. Never had a bad meal from there.

Really good traditional Chinese Takeaway. Really good food. We often use this restaurant and quality of food is consistently good.

Our takeaway consisted of sate noodles, sweet and sour chicken and crispy chili beef. The chicken was hard and chewy, no taste of sate or sweet and sour. Noodles tasted as though they had been reheated. The beef was basically just batter with no chili taste whatsoever. A real disappointment.

Good for food on the go, if you are late for cooking. You can place your order 15 minutes in advance and pick it up all ready Friendly service. Nothing adventurous, but good value for money

I've used Ming Garden for 20 years under various owners and the food has remained consistently ok . Being the only chinese in B'hill I have stayed faithful .... but no more . Twice in the last 4 orders I have been given the wrong food and had to return . No attempt at apology just mumbling excuses . Last time the lady (having made me return the wrong dish) asked me for an extra 40p as she realised she had undercharged me . She was not happy that her request caused the other diners waiting to laugh and stormed off when 1 guy said it should be free . For me its now time for the convenience of delivery from elsewhere . Adios Ming Garden - I will miss your food !!

Don't usually go to takeaway unless I know the quality of food they serve but it was late and I was hungry so I took the chance. With the first taste of the chicken curry I bought my heart sank; I can without any doubt say that this is the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever tasted. The curry sauce was more like beef gravy and after a few mouthfuls I started to feel queasy so gave the rest to my dog. How it has survived so long with that standard of cooking is unbelievable. My first and last visit to Ming Garden!

20% Off on a Tuesday is always a good ploy Must admit the food was average and the cleanliness of the shop was poor Better Chinese in the area

take away really good , excellent value been using this for 12 years and have never had cause to complain

The chow mein is good, the rest was horrible. Tried multiple dishes, some we couldn't even tell if it was the beef or the pork dish we ordered. Ignore reviews that say it is the best Chinese in Buckhurst Hill; it is the ONLY Chinese in Buckhurst Hill. Needless to say, I'll never return.

The food from Ming garden is consistently good , only draw back is there is no delivery service although that might not be a good thing as I would order here more often!

The service was excellent (beaming smile from person behind counter when we walked in) and the food was more than adequate. Only drawback is that they only accept payment in cash.

The Ming Garden really is no frills, incredibly basic inside, but you don't come here for the ambience or the hospitality. Come to think of it, you don't come here for conversation either. Saying all of that, I've never ever had a bad dish from here. It's extremely reliable, honest, very good Chinese food. Obviously phone your order ahead and avoid the wait. Sadly they don't offer delivery. If these guys did delivery or even better, opened a restaurant I'd be a very happy! I'm pretty certain there's room in Buckhurst Hill for a Chinese Restaurant. One with bench-seating and an open kitchen would be perfect please!

Great little takeaway. Their duck with pineapple is outstanding as is the salt and chilli prawns. It's a shame they don't have a delivery service but otherwise, superb.

Regularly eat from this takeaway. Food always great. Beef with green peppers in black bean sauce with boiled rice is excellent low point choice with Slimming World. 20% discount on Tuesday's.

This place may not deliver but he food is so yummy it's worth the walk to collect.Very reasonable too

Convenient, friendly service.Can be expensive and the usual Chinese menu.A meal for 2 - starters ,2 mains and rice/ noodles cost about £30.they throw in prawn crackers for free.Disadvantages: they do not always accept cheques or debit cards so you need to ask for the cost prior to collection and take cash.

Love this takeaway so much :) so good to have a local takeaway this tasty! Very dependable Chinese takeaway food that we will return to :)

An excellent takeaway. We use this quite often. A good tip is that on Tuesdays, they offer 20% off your bill which makes it even better value. We have never had bad food from here and it is always piping hot.

Have been using this Chinese for years and the food is always spot on. The only criticism is that the shop front needs updating desperately. I think they would find more people walking by would be inclined to order if they made it more modern and pleasant to wait in.

The best Chinese take away by miles. Food is tasty and hot and is ready at the appointed time when ordering by phone. The menu is varied and authentic and it is very good value!
