Best fish and chips in the north west by a mile Excellent first rate staff Was surprised by the size of the fish absolutely huge and the batter was top notch.

This is the best chippy and it’s lovely there and I never had any issues with the food and stuff there especially when I bought from there

Love this place, been several times now and everytime has been spot on. Lovely fish, chips and peas, the portions are generous and service is second to none. Will return on my next visit to widnes.

This is the first time I’ve been to this chippy as I’m from Warrington. I came to Widnes on a shopping trip with my wife, I couldn’t resist the smell of fish and chips, I bought a 3 fish bites and a portion of chips between us. It was to my surprise the largest fish bites I’ve ever had. They were absolutely gorgeous, the best tasting fish I’ve had in many years, large, white, flaky and just the right amount of lovely tasting batter. Staff were friendly and polite and the price was reasonable. I will make a point of becoming a regular customer . Thank you.

Called in during the week. Good service and nice fish and chips. Was a good sized portion served with peas and a slice of bread and butter and a pot of tea. Great value. Would recommend.

Excellent service, very welcoming staff, very busy which shows how good the food is. Excellent food, very well priced and delicious. Couldn't ask for a better chip shop lunch.

Wowwww I had fish chips and peas two bread and a pot of tea it was the biggest fish I ever seen the chips was red hot it was just perfect just the job on a wet and windy day. The staff was lovely and friendly the place was spotlessly clean and it all came to £10.45 will definitely be going back there soon.

A regular meeting place with friends on Fridays, to have our fish, chips, chicken burger, drinks, etc. Absolutely a must have! Fantastic welcoming atmosphere, the owners and crew cannot be faulted! Eatin, take away or eat outside - weather permitting. What ever you do you shouldn't be disappointed. We've been coming since they took over from the last owners. Not once have we been disappointed with our visit! Looking forward to my usual Wednesday tomorrow, with my wife, for our Special Fish Dinners. Thinly battered, succulent fish, new potatoes - beautifully fried, with peas or a choice of curry sauces. Bread and butter, and drinks of your choice. What's not to enjoy? Just leave a table for us!

Just had a late lunch in Mina’s fish and chip restaurant/takeaway. We can honestly say that the quality of the meals served there are excellent. We are regulars to the restaurant, usually after shopping for our elderly mum once a week. If we have fish and chips anywhere else, we always say “not as good as Mina’s” A week or so ago we visited Harry Ramsdens at Cheshire Oaks. We paid a whacking £34 for fish and chips, including drinks for two of us. Minas today as usual was two fish dinners, including drinks and B&B and my usual curry sauce (wife thinks I’m common) all for around £18, to which we usually leave the £20. The chips are well cooked and the fish always lovely and fresh. Sometimes we say after fish and chips “bit greasy, shouldn’t have eaten that” Not with Mina’s, it’s alway a pleasure and looked forward to.

Fantastic cafe, very quick and friendly service, great staff and excellent food at a good price. Always our go to place when we visit Widnes.

Came in yesterday and bought a fish and chips to take out fish was soggy maybe it’s them polystyrene trays they serve them in and almost certain not cod or haddock, disappointed. However staff was pleasant and quick service

Wonderful fish and chips friendly service Had our meal lunch time on fruday very busy. Both fish and chips were cooked fresh no fry ups, the cod was perfect. Im not a big fan of mushy peas but they were delicious

Our - 'must visit' - Widnes, local fish & chip restaurant! Wednesday's don't start until brunch in Mina's is enjoyed first, always a great friendly welcome as soon as we go inside. Great value for money in these globally awkward times of supply, no corners cut! My favourite fish & chips is usually flavoured with a pot of home made - hot - curry sauce. Today's was no different - until - I had a naked chip - no curry! Absolutely outstanding flavour - as was the stunningly flavoursome fish - cooked to perfection! Maybe next time I won't taint the hard work of Mike, the outstanding man at the fryer! Ably assisted of course at all times, by sister Effie and her crew of happy helpers. Thanks everyone - looking forward to next week. 😋

Visited on my way home from work.I wanted Large fish and chips and Michael(The Master Fryer,and he really IS!)said,"I'll do you a fresh one,I'm not happy with that one in the drainer"It's just the perfect standard you expect and receive time and time again from the best Fish and Chip restaurant this side of the Himalayas!Plenty of comfortable seating(All spotlessly clean).The batter on the fish is light,crispy and non greasy,it is truly amazing as is the fish itself.The Chips are pretty damn good too.All served by the very cheerful and pleasant Effi.Thanks again for my regular treat.I can't recommend highly enough!

School holidays, our beautiful granddaughter staying with us. The night before, she said, can we go to Mina's for breakfast tomorrow, then Widnes Market! How could we refuse, fantastic welcome and service as always. As a gentleman on an adjacent table said, "Absolutely perfect Fish & Chips". Our plates were close to being polished, enough said really. Looking forward to our next visit, luckily only a week to go. Sadly no granddaughter then. She'll be on school dinners. 🤧

Went in today ..food very hot and best fish/ chips iv had in years ..all staff nice and friendly defo coming back ..Well done
