Best Lebanese food! Highly recommended

we are going to miss you. you are my best restaurant in Cardiff.

Holidaying in Cardiff this weekend and ate at Mina’s on Saturday night, opting for shared mezze dishes. The flavours were wonderful, everything tasted so fresh and absolutely delicious. We went for a simple dessert of (divine) home-made yoghurt topped with honey and pistachios, and finished with cardamom-flavoured arabic coffee. It was the best middle-eastern food experience I’ve had in the U.K. and next time we’re in Cardiff, we’ll be back.

This is just a wonderful restaurant. There is plenty of choice on the menu and when the food comes it is just superb. I wish we lived a little closer as we would be here every week!

Bad experience. They charged £50 for 2 dinner. Meals portion unbelievable, tiny portion and not filling your stomach 1/3. A handful (small cup) of rice and 4 pieces of lamb ribs called main course dinner and cost £20.00 By the way chips were not free, your waitress took an order rice and chips including, but she forgot to serve until we finished, even I had to ask about the chips again (reminded her). Wastage of money. Done mistake to go there. Not recommended and will not turn again in life.

It's always fantastic to visit here. The staff are welcoming and patient, the food is outstanding, and even with a table full of different dietary requirements, every item was perfect. Every time I visit I have absolutely nothing to complain about. Absolutely my favourite place to eat in Cardiff.

We walked from the town centre, so worth it! We both ate until we were stuffed, every mouthful was epic! Thanks!

Great discovery in Cardiff - we were a bit surprised at first as the place is a bit out of the city center and looks inconspicuous from the outside. But inside we were warmly welcomed and it is cozy and nicely decorated. The plate of starters was absolutely delicious and everything was very fresh. The main courses, however, were incredibly good and we all enjoyed them extremely well. Meat grilled superbly, wonderfully seasoned. The service was loving and attentive. A one with a star for us.

We ate there last night. I recommend booking ahead. We saw a couple turned away as they were full. The food was delicious and the staff couldn't be any more friendly or helpful.

I recommend this restaurant highly! The food is charcoal grilled and tastes absolutely amazing. The lamb and chicken on skewers is melt in the mouth with a chargrill on the outside. Perfect BBQ! All of the food is fresh and they take a while to cook everything to order. The staff are super friendly and have happy faces and smiles. Feels great to receive such a fantastic welcome and attentive service. They will customise the meals to taste with no issue at all. (Swapped tomato for bell peppers on my starter salad) There’s a lovely family vibe in the restaurant and it’s full of people who’ve eaten there for decades! I’m now a regular as the whole experience is 10/10 every single time. Remember to reserve as it’s in high demand. Personally I think this is the best charcoal grilled food I have ever eaten and it’s consistently excellent! The facilities are spotlessly clean also- including the loos. The only downside is that I can’t stop myself having their amazing chicken wings to start and I always struggle to finish the main meal! Take away box to the rescue 😂 I may have reviewed this place before I can’t remember but it’s worth two 5 star reviews. One of the best dining experiences in Cardiff.

Ordered delivery from here on Friday night and was really disappointed. I've been to the restaurant many times over the years but not since the pandemic, and I can only think they've either changed management or changed chefs now as it's really gone downhill sadly. Whilst my wife enjoyed her meat main and side, my vegetarian dishes were truly awful I'm sad to say. The foul moudamas was horrible, so salty, had no tomato, and tasted EXACTLY like one I buy out of a yellow tin... I did wonder if it was out of the same tin? My Veggie Club consisted solely of sliced onions & courgettes, with barely and aubergine or tomato in sight, even though it said it was cooked with both. I had to spoon off 7 TABLESPOONS OF OIL before I could even eat it, and even then it was drenched in oil at the bottom meaning it was inedible. I can't believe they charged nearly £17 for that dish?! I am gutted that I paid over £55 for a meal that was such poor quality and that I couldn't eat. I can not recommend based on that experience, and I'm sad the place has gone so downhill. I don't have £55 to throw away, and I'm disappointed that I did exactly that.

Best garlic bread I’ve ever eaten! My son loved the chicken. Only slight complaint was the dolmades was a bit dry and tasteless. All the other food was amazing.

Food was delicious. Delivery time got pushed later, but was delivered in the new later time window. I would order again and recommend Mina. Worth the wait. Mains aren't huge so I would recommend ordering a side too - garlic bread highly recommend!

Ottima bottiglia di vino, anche esso libanese. Il tutto accompagnato dal servizio di Ana, una brava ragazza che ci ha messo perfettamente a nostro agio.

Me and my husband went there for our date night. The food was excellent... We ordered the starters for 2 persons in the menu and ordered the 2 persons menu for our main deals. The hummus in the starter was so delicious and felt freshly made. The whole meal was excellent. They were short-staffed but they didn't kept us waiting for long. We also ordered Ayran which was natural yoghurt drink reminded me of buttermilk from India.

Our first visit to this great little restaurant, great food and friendly staff made it a very enjoyable experience, we will definitely be coming back.

A true hidden treasure in Cathays. A spontaneous visit after a word of mouth recommendation from another local business and it did truly live up to its reputation! We ordered the Mashwi Mwshakal for two and every mouthful was so flavourful. Thank you to all staff for their kind service too, really made the whole experience so enjoyable. Safe to say we will be returning!

Amazing service, food so tasty and flavoursome, could have ate more if i had the room, as the food is sooooo moreish, make sure to keep room for dessert though, Lebanese sweets i want more, and not overpriced as myself and my partner had starters, main and dessert, along with a side order of the most amazing garlic bread, if you want amazing food, fantastic ambiance and excellent value for money, please go here you will not be disappointed

It was our 1st time at Mina restaurant and we went there for a celebration. The staff were polite, warm and welcoming. Service was great. The food was amazing and so flavourful! They graciously moved the table for us when we asked them to. Can't really fault them for anything. Would definitely recommend to everyone!

I went for a meal with my mother, we like to explore the foods available around Cardiff...and in short, it was amazing! The atmosphere was so calming, it really transports you ready to try the Lebanese cuisine. The service was so welcoming and gave the best recommendations, the portions are so filling and the cocktails are pretty tasty too. Highly recommend.

Delicious food and excellent service. It was our first visit to Mina restaurant last night. It was the best meal we had in Cardiff so far. Everything was super delicious and well portioned. We ordered a mezze platter for the starter, three different types of lamb dishes and Lebanese sweets for dessert. We will be back again soon here. Highly recommend.

Went here with my family last night. Was incredibly delicious! Fresh food, perfectly cooked wonderful service. Couldn’t recommend more!

Just had an amazing meal at Mina’s and enjoyed meeting the owners as well. The visit didn’t start well as I couldn’t get my big electric wheelchair in as there is a bit of a bump. However I was able to walk a short area so walked into the restaurant and the owner kindly took my chair around the back so it was safe. We then had the mixed starter which was amazing. You have to try the falafals which were the nicest I’ve ever had. We then both had lamb. One slow cooked which melted in the mouth and one grilled to a perfect medium rare. Could not fault this place and has made our visit to Cardiff very enjoyable.

Succulent. Tender. Delicious. Both starters and main course are worth a detour. The chocolate ice cream has a different flavour to other chocolates, it's the extra things. The oil is not excessive and neither is the yoghurt. In fact the yoghurt has juuust the right amount of salt to it without overbearing. Great warm and convivial hosts who leave you be but ensure you have the very best of experience and cater to your needs. Worth a visit, and another!

Kazim my partner had always very hot and tasty staff away there to help Lebanese beer worth a go £3.50 very nice after my cancer treatment I have still and for a long time to come to eat dry food so I would like to have next time chicken suppreme but would like a whole chicken breast not cut up your food is tasty as I lost my taste for more than 18 months very hard but cancer free move on

First time to the Mina and will be definitely going back. Food was amazing, had selection of mezzas for starters, great selection and amazing flavours. As for the main we had the mashwi mwshakal, the chicken was succulent and fantastic flavour as was the kebab and beef, could not fault the flavours and the rice was the best I have ever had. Lovely atmosphere and great staff. Thankyou

We had a lovely meal, tasty food and friendly service. Having travelled to Lebanon on a wonderful food tour of the country, and having lived close to a very good Lebanese restaurant in North London before moving to Wales, I was a little disappointed not to find more of my Lebanese favourites on the menu. Under starters I'd have liked to see at least a few of hoummus awarma, saltat al Rahib, sfiha, stuffed aubergine, sambousek, fatayer... The Mains all seem to be dishes that are enjoyed across wide swathes of the Middle East rather than much focus on Lebanese specialities. And under desserts, the only relevant dessert was baklava; I would have loved to see carob molasses and tahini, or Lebanese halva, or whole figs in syrup; the kinds of things we were served in Lebanon and which my North London restaurant offered. We enjoyed what we ate, but felt the menu was a touch uninspiring.

8/10 tasty mezze. A table of three…we ordered, humous, bread, falafel and batata harra. All were very tasty. Being a big fan of humous, the humous here was creamy and well seasoned and the bread was very soft and fluffy, making it the perfect combination. A little let down on the main…although I ordered the opposite to a traditional Lebanese dish (halloumi wrap and fries). There was a generous portion. I would come back again for the wonderful starters and to try a more authentic main dish. Unfortunately, we were all very full and couldn’t try the dessert. The staff and waitress were friendly and the ambience were pleasant. 5 *

Ordered the chicken fajita, food was lovely but the dish was £17.50, and I got 4 tiny shucked strips… you get more chicken in a mini fillet burger from KFC!! Which is a quid or 2… honestly disappointed

Absolutely incredible meal my husband and I had here. We ordered a large selection of hot and cold starters. Everything was so fresh and bursting with flavour. The service was lovely and the atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. I wish we lived closer as I'd be happy to eat there often!

Lovely and delicious libanese food! We tried this place by chance and it was a huge success! The food is amazing and the service excellent. The impression from outside can be misleading though, I thought it was a take away place when in reality is a clean and cozy restaurant with a warm atmosphere. Highly recommended!!
