Just went in for a sit down and drink...the food looked delicious, though.

Visited this afternoon with my mum (the first time visiting for me after mum had recommended it to me countless times as she'd been multiple times before and always said about how brilliant it was) and needless to say, it was a wonderful experience for us. Service was swift, friendly, patient and professional, the restaurant looked fresh, clean, well kept and was an overall relaxing, welcoming atmosphere, our food arrived fast, was fresh and tasted absolutely delicious (not to mention the presentation was very lovely too!) I had a white cheese toasted sandwich with salad and mum had a jacket potato with beans and salad and both were brilliant value for the cheap price. I'm a fussy eater and often struggle to choose what to eat at restaurants but the menu provided a wide variety of different, great foods and I was able to make a quick definite choice with no trouble whatsoever. We both thoroughly enjoyed it with no complaints and will certainly be back again! 😊

2 fish fingers and 2 slices of bread £8.50!!!!! Thought chips were included with that, that's just ripping people off. Never again. Had to move cups and plates off tables to sit down. Crumbs and sticky tables, food and stuff on the floor. Coffee were nice but don't take the mick out of people with the prices. So many staff but no cleaning!

Note there is a cafe on one floor and a restaurant on another. Both table service, slightly different menus. Nice little cafe and restaurant inside the factory shop. Friendly service, freshly made food.

45 minutes wait for food. The tables were sticky. Some of the staff were not enthusiastic, putting it politely.

Great coffee, had the salmon fillet which was perfectly cooked, let down by the side of veg which was rather bland. Overall a good place for a meal.

Nice hidden place..not cheap,so don't expect a cheap and cheerful experience. Food was nice albeit toasties. Only gripe was the staff seemed to be students who you hear messing around constantly..

Was going to eat hear until they said food wait was over 30 minutes, would had waited but didn't have time

Fabulous full English and catered for gluten free which is always a plus. Friendly staff.

A nice place for lunch and the coffee is hot

Visited a few months ago whilst buying a suit in the mill, heard alot of good reviews about the place so gave it a go, never again, service and food pretty poor, later on after our visit I checked the food hygiene rating of this place and it is only 1 star, omg no wonder 🤢

Had scones. Suspect not cooked fresh on the day so would have been better for a few minutes in the oven (not microwave), before serving to freshen up a bit. But, on a huge plus side, they came beautifully served, with fresh strawberries as well as jam, butter and clotted cream.

This is the first time we have eaten in this restaurant. Food amazing.

Ordered 3 drinks, 2 toasted sandwiches on brown bread and a teacake. After 10 minutes the drinks arrived and we were then charged for the food and drinks. Another 25 minutes passed and we enquired on the food situation to be asked again what we had ordered. We then got a sort of apology and an excuse about a table number mix up, and told it would be a few minutes. Another 30 minutes passed and we were presented with the food. The toasted sandwiches however were on white bread, not brown as ordered but by this time I was already late for an appointment and we hadn't got time to wait any longer so just ate it and left. Not very happy with the experience.

Came with my little girl today got well looked after by two lovely ladies my little girl had ice cream and strawberries she loved it. Thank you

We were yold that they was not cooking hot food due to the heat, ordered soup and a sandwich meal and two cans of cold drink, we waited around ten mins for the two drinks, brought out a normal tango instead of diet, changed but brought out a dark fruits. Food came out after another 15 mins. ( how long does it take to make a cheese ham and tomato sandwich and microwave some soup up) soup should have had croutons but not, it was microwaved in the bowl because the bowl and soup on the outside was bubbling but centre was cool. Sandwich was ok but was expensive for £7 something. Service was not good, the three ladies/girls seemed to be talking rather than working. It was 14.00 so would have thought the lunch time rush was over. Don't think i would go again, prob use the Junction cafe across the road or mc d's.

A friend recommended the restaurant and I hadn't heard of the restaurant. Visited 28th February and had lunch at Millies, and it was fabulous. The food is top quality and resealable priced. There is a great atmosphere and the staff are so friendly and helpful.

Pleasantly surprised - food really well presented and delightful staff

Went today with my mum safe to say we won't be going back, food was awful we left it dry grey looking jacket potatoe was not what we wanted when we havnt eaten all day., service was dire felt uncomfortable with the owner / manager shouting at the staff and slamming plates around, sour faced and really intimidating.

visited recently, ordered some soup and a piece of apple pie, which i had to wait 45 mins for, (they were quite busy though) soup was very watery and tasteless, then had apple pie and cream which was handed to me direct and dish was red hot resulting in me nearly dropping the item, i had also not been asked whether i would like the pie to be served hot or hold ? have had good food previously in this restaurant and it has been ok , not expecting 5 star for the price etc but better customer service would go a long way .

Millie's Restaurant is outstanding in every way. I've been on several occasions now and felt that I should write them a positive review as a thanks for their wonderful hospitality. You will not be disappointed if you visit them, their service is impeccable, the atmosphere is wonderful and the food is delicious. Thankyou to everyone at Millie's xx

Had to wait over 20 minutes to have our order taken even though they weren’t busy. The cake was stale. Worse still was two dogs were in Millie’s Coffee shop and at least two members of staff were stroking them and then went back behind the counter without washing their hands.

Visited for first time yesterday ,and certainly won't be the last, delicious food at reasonable prices, pleasant staff,what more could you want,would visit the mill again purely for Millie's restaurant.

Came here today for breakfast, the absolutel best breakfast in Ilkeston. £6.50 for a good quality Full English (sausage, bacon, beans, eggs, black pudding, mushroom, fried bread, has browns), with doorstop toast and marmalade too. A definite hidden gem. (Not to be confused with Millie's Coffee Shop on the 3rd floor where the staff are rude and the quality of food is no where near as good).

Visited here with friends for lunch. We had salmon, fish and chips and Lambs liver dinner. Beautiful and hot generous portions on all dishes. Very good value for money teadon for 5 stars.

Excellent food excellent choice and fantastic value and service

Came here Saturday and ordered bacon,cranberry and Brie toastie + scone,clotted cream and jam everything was lush until the scone was served hot! Disgusting,sorry just melted the cream into a slush!

Second time of visiting and same result ! Walked out as the people who came in after us were approached before us to take their order even though we sat with menus in front of us waiting for service ! We were told on sitting down our order would be taken next…….It was not busy and at least 4 staff on duty. Not even going to try ‘third time lucky’. Went over the road to the Junction Cafe with the opposite experience, excellent !

I attended the restaurant this afternoon with my partner her son and her mother. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by a young lady who had an attitude. She was rude, telling my partners mother that she could not sit at a table until it had been sanitised even though there was a total clean table next to the one she couldn't be bothered to clean. As the staff member walked back to her station she stood staring at our group bad mouthing us to her colleague who happened to be her mother. I did not take well to this and walked up to her and explained that her attitude was uncalled for. She stated that she was sorry but had not meant to display such a poor attitude! Call me a cynic but she then proceded to continue staring at our group while bad mouthing ourselves to the kitchen staff who came out of the kitchen to stare at us too. By this time another waitress had taken our order and when the food arrived I was totally shocked to find what appeared to be curly pubic hair on my plate...This was found as the original waitress was placing the food on the table! Needless to say I refused a replacement and asked for my money back! This was the worst experience eating out that I have ever had. Be warned ... If the young waitress is in a bad mood keep your thoughts to yourself or you may get more than you ordered!

Waited ages for our toasted tea cake which was eventually delivered by someone with no mask breathing all over it.

Absolutely love this place and will return again and again. Today myself and four friends had the Christmas menu meal, amazing choices for starters, mains, desserts or cheeseboard, followed by coffee and mince pies. Between us we sampled just about everything and the quality was superb, served by friendly polite and professional staff, I would definitely recommend a visit x

A little disappointed when I visited few days ago.We had crumpets and teacake on menu as being served with butter and jam.It wasn't butter it was spread and we had to go to counter to ask for the jam as not given.Also was chilly in the there.A sign at counter said cash only which may have turned people away but when we went to pay they could take cards just could'nt give receipts.The coffee was hot though unlike some places.

Just had the most amazing lemon cheesecake at Millie's - lovely service, lovely food and great value
