I didn't like the atmosphere or the service. Greasy fries, they don't offer mayo or ketchup as an extra sauce, only vinegar&salt. They charged +50p to pay by card under £10. I certainly won't go in there again.

Went out to get lads some food during a tough shift, and wished I hadn’t barely any salt and vinegar on it chips were bland, fish batter was like leather and mushy peas were like wet toilet paper disappointing as it used to be a good chippy

Little sign on the back of till saying surcharge on the card under£10....😳 Pointed out after you get charged it . Better customer service if told upfront....🤪

Possibly the worst chips I've ever had they looked like cheap steak chips from the local freezer shop. Some were grey in colour, others green. Didn't look good, didn't taste good either, only had a couple and had to bin the rest. It's been going downhill for a while now, I definitely wouldn't go again. It's a shame when you have to travel out of town to get a decent chippy.

1st time here and very impressed with the food. Fantastic chips and a nice portion of home made fishcake. I wish more places would offer the chance to pay using card rather than cash only, and I'm more than happy to pay a 50p charge to do so. It's not fair for the chippy to have to pay this bank charge. Edit in reply to business reply .. This is the first and only review I have left your establishment. I'm not local to Humberside I was passing through and placed an order on the spur of the moment. My bank are dealing with the police and action fraud AFAIK. Don't worry I won't be placing any further orders or leaving any further reviews, just this one will suffice to warn future victims to tread carefully with their card details. Beware paying by card on their own website. Placed an online order last night and lots of fraudulent transactions attempted on my account this morning. Luckily my bank were on point and blocked these transactions. Probably selling on card details to other criminal gangs, police and action fraud notified!

Yuk. Sooner eat Iceland fish fingers. Chips frozen fish no taste and greasy. Don't waste your money

Bad language welcomes you then can't be bothered attitude. Greasy fish no taste warmed up frozen chips. Pie was cold. All in all a vile experience.

I called in last week after work as my local fish and chip shop was closed. The staff were quite friendly but I had the worst fish chips and mushy peas ever. The batter was dreadful, which spoilt what could have been nice fish. The chips were inedible, I think they were frozen chips that had been over cooked and left in the warmer for too long and the tjny portion of peas was like green slime. Disgusting and not worth the £9.00 that I paid. Stick to selling pizzas because your fish and chips are not worth the money!

Heard good things about this place did not live up to these.

Unfortunately chips were really poor :( never had an issue in the past but this time they were dry and just weird. I managed to get a big handful of actual chips from the medium portion. And the rest was just crunchy little bits that were inedible. The batter was chewy not crunchy on the fish. Won’t order again tbh.

We usually use other takeaways in the area but thought with the current offers on pizzas we wouldn’t give it a go. We walked in and ordered, the shop was relatively quiet. Staff weren’t very welcoming while we picked what we wanted, giving off a ‘can’t be bothered’ vibe. The shop did start getting busy and other customers did seem to get served quite quickly. We waited around 40 minutes. The most unpleasant part of the experience was the shop being bombarded with kids (who were family/friends of the shop) using foul language and talking about being plastered on a local news site for poor behaviour. The food was luke warm so by the time we got it home it was quite cold (we live two streets away), the pizzas were quite nice but the chippy chips were less than average. Wouldn’t rush back myself but if you’re looking to feed a family or group for a low price then this is the place.

Would never go again the chips are very bad it had hair on my chips and looked cooked over and over again and there test horrible

It’s noticeable how much Millard’s has gone down hill of late. Whilst the introduction of a chip and pin machine was much appreciated the same can’t be said about the quality of the food or speed of service. A £3 bag of chips will feed your family for a week. A £2.40 bag will contain all the bits they should have thrown in the bin - especially the green bits. The fish patty was undercooked which seemed odd as it looked like it had been through the fryer more than once. £1.20 for a small (and I mean small) gravy. Enough said. I don’t know how the staff dare look you in the eye whilst they serve you if I’m honest.

Chips were fine, but you don't expect to have to wait 40 mins to get some. Online and walk-in orders should be separate to avoid this problem.

Really lucky to live near by .this is my favourite place for takeaway fish and chips .always found the staff really pleasant and helpful .the quality of the food is really good plus nice and hot

Food was piping hot when it arrived, really tasty and quick delivery service. What’s not to like?

Place is nice and clean, staff are friendly and helpful and the food tasted amazing and portion sizes are generous.

Spam fritter was really unedible. Its was hard around the sides and very old. It wasnt possible to return to the shop. However we wont in future.

Illegally charging extra to pay by card. When challenged the lady behind the counter was polite, but said there was nothing she could do because just eat charged it. Tried to explain that is their service fee and what has it got to with me being in the shop paying by card… didn’t get anywhere. Had a chip butty and it wasn’t very good at all

Woww the prices are amazing compared to Kent and so nice

I called in for a battered sausage and chips with gravy, it was 7.30pm. The chips weren't even hot and tasted like they had been there ages. The sausage was no better, batter wasn't crispy and again it wasn't warm. The gravy was very thick and lukewarm. I was recommended to try this chippy but based on tonight's experience I won't be returning

Popped in for fish and chips great portion size and very nice.

My husband asked for 2 large fish and chips and a battered sausage ..it was a huge portion we were given 2 bits of fish and 2 sausages each. Plenty for a family of 4

Nice friendly staff but the food isn't up to much

Terrible in every way. Chips where awful and not many for a large haddock and chips. Curry sauce was bland and favourless and fish was very greasy and way to much better. Don’t even know if it was haddock, was also way over priced. Large haddock looked more like a small.

Having read the favourable reviews though was well worth a wander round from the truck park... Let's just say I wasn't disappointed! Friendly staff and perfect haddock supper. Deffinatly recommend 👍

Took 2 hours to cook and deliver and forgot part of the order absolute joke

Freshly cooked to order and worth every minute of the wait. Fish patties are really nice as were the chunky chips. Clean premises and parking on the front. Shall be back soon.

Rank rotten fish tasted of cooking oil and the chips were like oven chips needless to say it went straight in the bin we won't be back.

Just had fried chicken from Millards and it was absolutely delicious, my good lady had a pizza which, she said, "is the best pizza she has had in a long time" The staff are very friendly, polite and extremely helpful The food was freshly prepared while I waited and was delicious! Will most certainly be going back. Many thanks to you all

I use the shop on a fairly regular basis but since the government has re introduced face masks as manditory due to covid I was the only one in the shop with one on and sat out side having my lunch for about 30 mins . Observing not one customer wore one and no staff member challenged them for not wearing one .

This chippy was better than average, they where making traditional chippy chips cooked using traditional methods. They have changed there chips to frozen and they no longer use traditional method to cook. The food is ok, but no longer traditional. It makes me a bit sad because their fish n chips where better than average.

We had a chicken kebab and fries with salad and a chicken burger. Surprisingly very good. Good quality meat and a generous portion very tasty and not greasy at all. .garlic sauce was amazing. Salad was very fresh .a..individually

This was honestly, the best thing about my trip to Humber.

Fish was excellent but one member of staff was wandering about without a mask, he went outside twice while I was there and didn't do his hands once. He also leant over the counter to pick something up.Won't be going back.

Just got steak pie it was cold rang them they sent me another one that was cold aswell spoke to someone again they said well I can't stick my finger in it not very helpful atall don't bother with the pies because they can't test to see if your food is cooked

It was quite good on my last visit & a lot better than some of my previous visits, but given it was our 1st takeaway since lockdown started. Worth a visit.

All fresh ingredients and pizza's are really great, pastry bases are light and fresh, would highly recomend, worth the extra wait for good fresh food cooked to order.

Had lovely fish and chips for tea of course I removed the crispy batter as I am on a diet never went to wast as my husband ate it in a sandwich x

7 staff, got my order wrong and the kebab meat was dry swimming in oil. Asked for chippy chips and given fries, asked about the can I paid for and they said I hadnt paid. Poor service from there a few timesbut neither I or they will ever learn I guess.
