Mi Amor in Walsall

Nice decoration, but it was full of flies. We ordered a steak, the guy initially said that it was not available and we were ready to change location he then went out to get it. When they came with the food everything was tasteless and very dry. Wasn’t able to eat the food.

Had a delicious birthday brunch at Mi Amor in Walsall today, a treat from a dear friend. Thank you for a truly enjoyable dining experience! The food was fantastic, the service warm and attentive, and the atmosphere relaxed with a stylish ambiance. A memorable way to celebrate—highly recommend for anyone looking for great food in a chilled setting.

Food was great but service let it down. Waited for 20 minutes to first be acknowledged by a staff member. It seems to be only 1 person working the entire shop floor - and this was the manager. He was struggling to clean the tables, take people orders and also seat people on time. When we finally got acknowledged and seated, it then took another 20 minutes to take our order even when we asked the manager can you take our order now he was saying to ‘bear with me’. food arrived - food was excellent. But service is really poor. Needs more than 1 staff on the shop floor to share the responsibilities. It’s very important to have someone seating people on time and another person taking orders of those already waiting. That’s how you can improve your business !

Absolutely disgraceful experience. I ordered from Mi Amour and received the completely wrong order. When I tried to call and get it resolved, they hung up on me without even letting me speak. The food they did send was disgusting—poor quality, smelled off, and was clearly not fresh or safe to eat. This is completely unacceptable. Not only is their customer service nonexistent, but serving food in this condition is a health hazard. This place should be reported to the Food Standards Agency immediately. I will be doing just that. Avoid this place at all costs. They don’t care about customers or hygiene—an embarrassment of a business.

Do not order from Mi Amour. I ordered breakfast and three items were completely missing. When I called to get it sorted, they hung up on me and then refused to answer any more calls. The staff are rude, unprofessional, and have no respect for customers. This level of service is disgraceful, and honestly, this place should not be open. Management needs to seriously reconsider their staffing and operations. Save yourself the frustration and spend your money somewhere that actually values its customers.

This week Monday we went a amazing well decorated place! Food and service was top on point.i didn’t know about this place before, highly recommend the food place.everyone should try this place ,especially to the people of walsall. 🥘 🍲

Parking was not problem found parking right outside plenty of parking nearby..The place itself is fresh modern very stylish and great decor !. The service from staff was brilliant. Can't fault anything about the place .great for breakfast brunch or late steak and burger . Highly recommend. Food portions r well worth the money ! The food was top quality and it's now a personal go too for me and the family the kids loved the food burgers were the best burgers iv ever had in walsall they were that gud full of flavor juice no dry meat and well cooked . mocktails were great didn't disappoint especially passionfruit loved the frozen lemons in the drink . The Kids loved the milkshake oreo . We went once and we have been back since its defo the go to place for us now. Its reasonable price for the quality of the food and service is worth every penny. Try that gourmet burger if u go! Its a must! For the brunch that french toast was sweet and toasted perfectly it was tasty, portion size was big it was served with ice cream choclate sauce and fresh fruit . Also the deserts were to start San Basten cheesecake full of flavour, very dense creamy and rich but sweet. But my personal favorite was the tiramasu spongey great coffee and creamy mousee layers between sponge were the best I tasted. It's a Must try! Great service top food and great atmosphere. highly recommend.

Bad customer service, waited over an hour for the food. Other customers that came after us had been served their food before our table.

Have visited twice now and both times I received tremendous service. Staff members are really polite and greet you at the door. Food comes out super fast and is tasty and the music is great. Overall a nice vibe in there. Would definitely recommend and come here again.

This place has a wide selection of food to choose from and everything looks great. We were a large party, so we ordered the Full English/ Desi English & loaded pancakes with Karak chai as well as a caramel mocha. Everything was really well presented & tasted good. The food took less than 20m to come to the table which considering our large order was really good. Our waitress was really friendly and accommodating. Overall would 100% recommend - everything is Halal & they have a vegetarian option too. Look forward to coming here again.

The food at mi amor was so bad it made me question if the chef had ever tried the food before serving.Also I saw the women not wearing gloves when handling the food. The atmosphere was so bad as the two waitresses at the counter was shouting and fighting then the other waitress tearing when she brought my food please stay away from these inhuman lady owners.

Quick Breakfast before I had my baby the next day .

Came in Sunday for a breakfast as we had a table booked at 1:30 however another table had their belongings on two extra tables so the waiter asked politely for them to move their belongings under the table and the ladies were very rude about it. They made it difficult for us to sit down as they kept getting up to take pictures, this is not how my usual day out to mi amor goes. Felt bad for the staff as the ladies were very aggressive, had to make sure they were okay when they took our payment. Food and service was 10/10 as always. Will be back soon 💗

I have to say the customer service was rubbish. Came for a friend’s birthday. The two ladies in the front desk were so rude. I wouldn’t be going. Food was basic , dry. The staff had zero manners . Was there today for a friends birthday brunch . Got there early, but due to parking other's where a bit late. I got there on time . Lil Madam, apparently, whose brother owns the restaurant and name i could not get, was rude and disrespectful to people old enough to be her mothers telling us to get out of the restaurant. Initially, a friend of ours tried to correct her, but she remained adamant . Food was Ait .The gentleman who later severed us was very polite . Would not be spending my hard earned money there again .T for thanks

A decent brunch place. Tasty food. Service very good. Toilet at rear of restaurant. My only gripe is I've been here a few times and the chocolate sauce comes in a pourable cup but you're never able to pour it. They've not been able to master the art of pouring chocolate. Once they get that right, they'll get the 5th star. 4/5

The best place for breakfast! Have been going to this place for almost 2 years now and must say it is one of the best breakfast spots in the midlands. Food is fresh and tasty. Drinks are also good. I always get the Hand Full breakfast which balances out the savoury with the sweetness of the pancakes at the end. Always look forward to coming here!

Have been here previously and food and service is great. The one star is for lack of customer service when I called this morning after driving nearly 30 minutes and shutters were down to be told "we're open but working" then cut off so I called back to be told they're open for breakfast in an hour. I had gotten there for just after 10am. Ridiculous. Will not be coming back in as hurry.

The food was delicious came within 10 minutes. Nice and warm when it came the only thing I would change is for the plates to be warm as well so the food will remain warm but apart from that the waitresses were very polite and the atmosphere was welcoming. 10/10 overall.

came here first time we sat in a booth and had to squeeze in to sit down and had booster seats to sit next to us on the seat..had a look at the menu some things are pricey for what they are ..I had a English breakfast was nice but fish fingers didn't like they didn't taste nice ..the karak chai wasn't made right..nice place to have a catch up but pricey for what u get

Came here Sunday afternoon, and I was amazed the decor was beautiful and the staff there were very attentive and supportive . We had a loaded chicken steak and a classic English breakfast, and it was lovely all cooked fresh . Plenty of flavour and portion sizes were massive . Definitely will be going again with some more friends .

Went to mi amor the first time with my cousin and we ordered a parmo , Somosa chaat and cheese and tomato toastie. The parmo wasn’t even a parmo. It was disgusting and burnt. I spent £16 on a parmo for it to be a fillet burger chicken with cheese on top. That’s not an parmo. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but honestly it was awful. And the Somoza chaat wasn’t even nice. I won’t come again

The chef/ management has no respect is very narrow minded with no real time experience in high class brasseries cuisine or restaurants lacking experience maturity I haven’t noticed much in their service nor any exquisiteness in their food just the same basic food I make at home presented on a plate at a price 4 time more than the actual cost very dissatisfied disappointed they say it’s halal I haven’t notice any Islamicness in their behaviour just rude and disrespectful and arrogant

Visited on a Saturday afternoon for some brunch. It is a hidden gem in walsall. The staff were really attentive and went above and beyond. My toddler saw pomegranate seeds in the salad and decided she wanted a bowl of that instead of her meal, the staff were very kind and were able to fulfil her request. The food was really tasty. We tried the iced latte, karak tea and mojito all of which were delicious. cafe is clean and decor is aesthetically pleasing. Would highly recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this cafe and was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I stepped inside the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff that served me (Anisa) was friendly, attentive and even recommended the breakfast i got. The food was delicious. The ingredients were fresh and perfectly cooked and the service was prompt. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal and a relaxing atmosphere.

Visited with a friend and had an okay experience. We had a few complications with the food. The first one being, we were told we could have extra mushroom instead of the tomato on the Full English and Veggie breakfast. Unfortunately they didn’t put any extra on mine; but still removed the tomato. When my friend asked about this, they said they would need to charge us, even though they had previously said we could swap tomatoes for extra mushroom, free of charge. I had also asked for ketchup. The waitress gave us a small container of ketchup, which of course isn’t enough for the both of us, so we asked for more and again was told we would be charged for this. So my friend said nevermind, we’re not paying for that and in the end, she gave us another ketchup free of charge. Honestly I think it’s a bit ridiculous to charge for ketchup.. especially when you serve breakfast and it’s one of the most popular condiments. Food: 3.5/5 Overall I enjoyed my food, I had the full English breakfast and most of it was tasty. Unfortunately the beans were not very nice, I also asked for runny eggs and they were not very runny, so had to swap eggs with my friend as hers were much better (and she doesn’t care for runny care anyway) Unfortunately my friend didn’t really like her Veggie breakfast. I did taste a bit of her halloumi and it was very salty, but if you have it with a bit of ketchup it’s good. Service: The service gets a 3/5. Wasn’t the best and wasn’t the worst. Would be great if they communicated better with the kitchen to ensure I got what I asked and paid for. I can atleast say that we was welcomed into the restaurant nicely and when the waitress took our order, she was very nice. Atmosphere: 4/5. Very pretty and picturesque. I didn’t go into the toilets so not sure what they were like but everything else was nice. Would have given it a 5, but the carpet near the register is a big no. Not sure why they opted for carpet there, it doesn’t look very nice and there’s a lot of stains. Also the counter is veryyyy high up, it’s like they’re trying to hide the staff away. It can get annoying when you’re trying to get the attention of someone but can’t see them because of how high the counter is.

A great spot for breakfast/brunch. My husband and I were really happy with the food and service. Would recommend the full English and breakfast pancakes. Will be visiting again 😊

Came here for late brunch with my husband and we ordered the desi breakfast, the loaded chicken parmo, karak chai, mango spritzer and a vimto. Everything was delicious and as a Bengali I could tell the keema was made Bengali style and was delicious! I didn’t realise the mango spritzer was more of a smoothie and not a fizzy drink and I let the staff know and they immediately brought out a fizzy mocktail for me which was lovely and very thoughtful of them. Would highly recommend for couples, friends and families.

Beware if travelling by car. Bus lane in operation outside. You can only arrive in one direction( despite being two way traffic) otherwise you enter a bus lane and get fined.

Has to be the nicest bistro in all of Walsall. Visited here with a friend for lunch. The place is done up very pretty. There is lots to choose from on the menu. The staff are super friendly and service was quick. There are also customer toilets available.

Kids are not very welcome in there especially toddlers. Customer service was just terrible !!!!! Avoid at any point. I'm not sure it was the owner or the waiter just give me dirty looks when my daughter (17 months ) was walking around and told me to sit her in the high chair at thst point I fell Not welcome and want to leave ASAP.

Great little spot in Walsall town centre, we had a big family come in around 12am. Was quiet so we had enough space. Ordered breakfast and it arrived in a timely manner. Full English breakfast was great and lovely. It was nicely plated and was aesthetically pleasing. Karak chai was nice but the latte lacked taste. Decor was great and modern and love the little slogan. Staff were attentive and were great, would recommend going again.
