Excellent service and delicious food

Recommend duck with rice, salt and pepper prawns, kung po chicken, crispy noodles with mixed meat, pork chow mein, sesame prawn toast and quite a few other dishes.

The standards in the area seem to have fallen over the last year or two. The food I ordered here was all good and the prices better than the competition.

Tried this place as have recently moved to the area and it was OK.. No sauce on the crispy chilli beef and it was really chewy which was disappointing. The beef chow mein and dumplings were really nice. Will probably order again and try other things

I don’t usually leave reviews but this was the worst Chinese I’ve ever tasted. This was surprising because of the high reviews. Everything was bland and didn’t taste as it should, the food was delivered quickly but the quality was so poor I’m genuinely shocked. I will never order from here again, such a disappointment and waste of money.

We have been coming here for years and we still come here even thou we now live in Rickmansworth, we travel back every week. Tried all Chinese in and around Rickmansworth and nothing compares to this one keep up the good work

Tasted like watered down tomatoe soup...avoid!

We had a large takeaway for a family birthday celebration. Food arrived in good time and that's the only positive. The food was some undercooked, some overcooked, soggy, oily, flavourless!! The food was appalling, this was matched by equally appalling customer service from the restaurant when we called in to discuss. Would not recommend, unless you have a cat that has a fancy for vermine and badly cooked meat!

I always order from this place over the phone but was too busy to call so used the app on my phone and they got part of my order wrong. Paid for fine noodles and got normal, a mistake they have never made when I order over the phone (and I have only ever ordered my chow mein with fine noodles in the 2 years I've used this restaurant) so I will just call my orders in always now.

It won't be my favourite. It's not bad though. It's not as crunchy as in other Chinese places.

There was a bit of an issue with finding my address and delivery, but the delivery driver was polite and stayed calm. The lady at the restaurant also called me to try and help, and she was also polite.. All in all, food was nice also.

My first order with Mey Mey, the usual dishes are on offer, but far from bland, all dishes had an interesting extra ‘kick’. This is for people looking for something with an extra something. The family all agreed, this meal gets good marks and worth the drive.

If your Irish in London and want to find curry sauce as good as the nectar back home I can recommend this place, one of the nicest Chinese I’ve had in London, will definitely be back!

Sadly the food wasn’t very hot today, the chips were almost stone cold. Good portions, and was okay once heated in the microwave - but I shouldn’t have to be doing that to have the meal hot. Seemed to take a long time for delivery this evening, from when it set off from the restaurant - it arrived in around 20 minutes which would explain why the food was only warm. It’s a maximum 10 minute journey. Will return to the restaurant as the food is very nice when delivered hot. Best Chinese takeaway restaurant I have found in many years in this area.

I ordered a takeaway of crispy beef noodles in black been sauce and egg fried rice...the beef in black bean sauce was horrible it smelt very strange and was not crispy at all

Somehow managed to mix up Chicken Fried Rice with some type of deep fried Octopus meaning the meal wasn't what it should have been.... Shame as normally pretty decent

Food was way too salty. Couldn’t eat it. Also ordered egg fried rice, but got plain rice.

Good taste, actually none Chilli oil, not chilli at all Delivery said before 19:30, that’s why I ordered but changed to 20:15. Rang restaurant, they apologised and said driver on route, still took over 15min when I live 5min down the road. Won’t be ordering from here again, especially due to taste of food, worse than bland.

I have used Mey Mey for a while, as one of the best Chinese takeouts not just in Harrow but in my opinion in London. Always very polite and serve good food, not the same lazy food covered in grease a lot of Fujian owned places do. They also offer fine noodle which is a big plus, no one else in Harrow does. Ordered beef with green peppers in black bean sauce. Chicken chow mien & prawn toast. Vegetables were crisp and fresh tasting the noodles were not limp and over salted with tons of soya sauce not akin to typical greasy Chinese cafes. But and this is where it lost out one quite a few points & one star, 4 is the highest I will go for local fare. The portions were small and expensive compared to other Chinese takeaways in the area where the portions are larger (a good thing, great hangover food next day) and menu is too large (not always good thing). Missed on the extras which add a nice touch and where the effort is appreciated like sweet chilli sauce with the prawn toast. Napkins and chopsticks.

Mey Mey is definitely the best Chinese in Ruislip area. We love the starters but find the mains aren't quite the same. That's fine for us though, as we order more starters and just get the beef in black bean main which is nice! Get the fine noodles in your chow mein, so good!

I asked the delivery person not to use the doorbell and they did, disturbing the downstairs neighbours. Disappointed.

I left a note saying no peas in the rice. It was full of peas couldn’t start eating until I picked them all out. The rice and chicken was awful. Complete waste of money. Won’t order from them again.

Poor notification about delivery time

Lovely takeaway food. Great curry and dumplings. But didn’t get my crackers. Don’t think I needed them in the end. Bit stupid you have to provide restaurant rating when it’s a takeaway meal.

The whole meal was very very good. Some exquisite flavours beautifully cooked. Highly recommend
