Mexigo in Maidstone

I told the chef that I didn't want any bread or rice but something healthy. He made me a bowl and it was perfect. Everything tasted fresh. I'm generally not a fan of burritos but it was great that you can customise with a smile and fairly priced. I would come back for this chicken bowl again for sure.

Absolutely incredible food. I ordered the Chicken burrito and it's absolutely loaded with Chicken, Peppers and Beans. Come during Lunch as the prices are great for the lunch deal!

Great value food, love a burrito, had the veggie option, they cooked vegetables especially for me, wiped down the food preparation surfaces and changed gloves, my husband had the pulled pork & he enjoyed that too. Would go there again.

I’ve had Mexigo before and their burritos are amazing. I literally devour them everytime. But their pulled pork taquitos are on another level. Like to the point I needed to write a review about them. Like toe curling. Thank you for your service, I will be raving on about them for the next 3 weeks.

Ordered it on just eat cam 30 Mins early. Got the big burrito and I’m not joking when I say I have a picture of the burrito and it’s bigger than my new born baby. Its by far the biggest burrito I’ve ever seen. Something off of a crazy internet video. It’s advertised as spicy which I don’t quite agree on an in general the flavor was decent. Not amazing but 100% good value for money. Not sure why everyone gave this place such bad reviews.

Consistently terrible across the board

Had a takeaway. Was horrible. Had to chuck the prawns because they stunk of bad fish and the rest of it was just really poor. We had tapas and it was all bland or soggy. Really disappointed as this used to be a great takeaway. Wont order again.

Vile waste of money changed my order on Uber!!! Gave me stuff I didn’t want and the food was undercooked hard rice and wet slimy spicy disgusting brownies wrap filled with this slimy green weird tasting guacamole I have thrown it in the bin I just pray I can get a refund what low disgusting quality food

Have eaten here 4 or 5 times and usually get a takeaway, had a delivery last night and it was awful. All food cold, poorly packaged and extremely greasy.

Very surprised this place has a low rating. I really enjoyed the food from here. The Jack Daniels BBQ ribs were amazing. Just fell off the bone which is what I love and that dipped in the sauce was lovely! My boyfriend had the pulled pork taquitos and loved them also. Just overall decent food. Plus I didn't realise this was in Maidstone and they delivered to Snodland which isn't often for some places so that's definitely a bonus and will be ordering again or popping in whenever I'm in town 👍

Do NOT order here - don’t even be tempted 🤮 Chicken and rice is undercooked, burrito was microwaved, salad is watery, and churros are eggy tasting! Also service was awful - 2 hour delivery but we live a 5 minute walk away. I called to see how long it would be, and after it rang a few times , the owner ignored the calls. Don’t order - trust me 🤮🤮🤮🤧

Disgusting. Was told on the phone that they make salads first and before burritos etc and the salad has now made me feel sick. I asked for salad dressing on the side, it’s came drenched in dressing. The boy who answered the phone was vile. Implied that we have lied even tho I offered to send a photo. Please eat somewhere else, they can’t even make a salad. Worst service I have ever experienced.

Hardly any meat on my nachos. And I can’t see hardly any cheese. The nachos were stale and cold and we ate in as well. The worker serving us wouldn’t listen to us. She almost out chicken instead of pork on my friends nachos and she never listened when I asked for more cheese and meat

DO NOT go here. They're hygiene is horrendous and you will definitely get food poisoning. They killed my soulmate and they still haven't faced justice for their negligence. A year gone now and my hate for them has still not ceased.

Burger undercooked asked for a cheeseburger and ended up with a burger with chillis in which wasnt advertised will report to food environmental standards avoid this place like the plague

Got some chips here last night , within 5 hours I was throwing up! Didn’t drink much last So wasn’t the alcohol! Avoid this place! I’ve never felt so ill!!!

I ordered a spicy beef taco crunch wrap and Louisiana bbq sauce. The beef taco was not spicy at all?? And the sauce I received was hot sauce? That’s not the same? Disappointed! On a positive the salad was lovely!

If you’re planning on being employed here, please read (edit - I have since been paid). I worked at Mexigo for about a month as a Delivery Driver. The role was offered with weekly Wednesday payments. Despite not being paid for the duration of my employment (as was promised), 2 days after my last shift, I was told I would be paid that week.This, alongside a string of other misleads have continued for the past 6 weeks. I've constantly had to chase the owner up for payment to either get ignored or be sent a message which has needed to be chased up. My messages and calls are now being completely ignored. Bear in mind that, for the duration of the past 6 weeks, I have clearly expressed my financial situation & difficulties to him and the need for the promised, overdue payment. I spent all those hours working and travelling there, spending all of that cash on fuel (not reimbursed), only to spend the last 6 weeks chasing payment and having less money than I did when I started my employment there. Having to chase the money I am owed for the hours that I have worked has caused financial and emotional distress. Hopefully nobody else experiences this.

I have used Mexico for a few years now. The food has always been spot on and any slight issues the manager has been incredible. But tonight not only did the driver not have any change for me the food was wrong, the pulled pork look nasty and tasted revolting. To be told I was being rude by using that word. No it was revolting. The man I spoke to made nothing but excuses instead of apologies. A loyal customer and her family lost. Never go there

Food (quesadillas and ceviche) was OK but not the standard I expect from a restaurant/food establishment. Others in my party were happy with their burritos and burgers though

Make sure you over order because you will be missing food from your delivery. Either their delivery driver gets hungry en route and had a little snack in the hope they can get away with it, or they are very forgetful. 3 orders and 3 times we've had to call to to report missing items!

Tasty food, we order food from Mexigo every now and then. Burritos are good and decent size, full of flavour. The potato skins are also great. Their food tastes like it is actually made of good quality products.

I ordered with their app and received a 10% discount on Saturday night at 7 pm for a local collection. The app said 40 minutes, and we arrived in half an hour. We received a friendly welcome, waited 5 minutes for the food, paid with a card, and were given two cans of coke for free. The food is plentiful and tasty, a slight spice but nothing blasting. The fries had a surprising sweet and salty taste, which complimented the savoury 18-inch buritrito with chipolte chicken, with extra sour cream and guacamole on the side. I highly recommend them.

Always walk in and get excellent service. Burritos are always top notch, could be spicier but that's a personal preference.

Ordered today and was absolutely rancid have never tasted something so vile in all my life the order was late to begin with and the chicken wings were hard and chewy. The burrito bowl was cold and had no effort put in whatsoever will not be ordering from this place again.

Avoid this restaurant!! The person answering the phone has no appreciation for the customer waiting over 1 hour 20 minutes for food. I should of read the review before ordering. Never ordering hear again!

Good food, always friendly staff.

We went to the shop last night and ordered as we didn’t want to wait for hours for it to be delivered. Unfortunately we were all up at 4 am with food poisoning and are still suffering more than 24 hours later. Environmental health have been made aware as we have been so ill, they will be investigating. I am sure that we will not be the only ones that have been affected? We will not be going back now if their hygiene is that bad in such a critical climate. It doesn’t help that all of the delivery drivers just come and go in the kitchen as they please? This is not hygienic at all. Very disappointed as we really liked their food, but this has really put us off now. I hope that they get scrutinised by Environmental health as this is not something to be taken lightly.

Friday means a Mexico order! Love this place, they cater for vegans so well with this vegan burrito, fries and onion rings. Deffo give it a try!

ONE OF THE BEST DELIVERED TAKEAWAYS IVE EVER HAD!! A nice change to the usual pizza, kebab & burgers that are crammed onto just eat etc!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE GUYS!!

Apparently Mexico believe it’s ok to deliver your meal in two parts and then forget the actual wraps for a fajita and expect you to wait 30 mins for a new lots (whilst your wife has already finished her meal) or provide your own. And then when you complain and ask for compensation in the form of a refund it’s ok to hang up on you. Wonderful service and just what a valued customer wants…. From a company I have supported for years I’d rather eat at a chiquitos now…

Not happy waited over 1.5 hours for food and then it turned up and the garlic bread was rock hard, the chips were cold and hard. Couldn’t eat it after that was out right off. Probably won’t order again…..

This is the 2nd bad order in a row from this restaurant. Don't waste your time or money, I won't be again. Website said 1 hour for food (Sunday afternoon) which I was happy with. Called after an hour and a half to be given a list of excuses as to why my order hadn't been seen or sent! If delivery was not an option the website should reflect this at the point of order. The restaurant didnt call me to advise of any problem. I now have to wait for a refund and go elsewhere. The staff member I spoke to could really help me as they had no authority or any idea how to refund me. Extremely poor service yet again. We gave them another chance and somehow they were worse this time around.

Ordered from Mexigo Maidstone yesterday and my order never arrived. Multiple phone calls were made, I was told by one guy that my food was on its way, the next time I called another guy said it had left 20 minutes ago even though I had placed the call 30 minutes before that. Lack of drivers and no manager or supervisor present to talk to, staff lying to customers about when the food is going to arrive. If I could give them zero stars I would. I perhaps would of expected delays at the weekend but not on a Tuesday evening.

We ordered 48 pounds worth of food and It came 1 hour late, the food was cold and disgusting. Rang the restaurant and the guy argued that I received the right food which was not correct. Please avoid this place at all costs.

We ordered on line directly to save their Deliveroo fee. It took 1 hour 45 minutes and didn't all arrive. Lovely people but very poor product. I had a vision of sizzling fajitas and warmed tortillas - so far from what was delivered. Prawn and Mango Cerviche just limp prawn cocktail with no flavour. Still using horrendous polystyrene containers - get with it! £50 spent and very disappointed. Can't imagine I'll revisit.

I have ordered from Mexigo since 2018. The food has always been warm, fresh and so tasty. Out of all my orders they have only forgotten something once which was delivered within 10 minutes of me phoning. Accidents happen and they’re so busy it’s to be expected. I have had their burritos, chicken fajitas and now always get nachos and their delux cheeseburger and chips which is fresh homemade and out of this world. As well as their amazing jack daniels BBQ sauce. The food and delivery service is out of this world and staff are so friendly. Whenever I order I usually give it 1-1.5 hours for delivery as I know how busy they get and it is cooked from fresh. It’s always delivered within the hour and for me it’s THE BEST TAKEAWAY in Maidstone

After a spell of food MEH! I landed on the Mexico site and it didn't disappoint. We ordered chicken and steak ciabattas and WOW, perfect and just what I needed. Delivery was on time and food was piping hot and delicious.

I had a takeaway enchiladas & some tacos & it was amazing, the staff are friendly and presentation of the food is really good Loved it!

As a daytime walk-in order for a burrito it was dealt with quickly. Faster than the new systems that have been implemented in the massive 'golden arches' food chain. The size was perfect, and was el scorchio (hot) which says to me those who've used delivery services to complain about it being cold rather than getting off their butts and getting their own grub haven't taken into account pick up/box it's transported in/driver or rider engagement/distance/traffic density. Mexigo gets a thumbs up from me.

DISGUSTING SERVICE.... absolutely disgraceful service through the phone, basically got shouted at for wanting to cancel based telling me that my order could not be edited to avoid allergies. Made me wait 20-30mins into making the order to call to let us know that the item is pre-made in the morning and could not be done to adjustments.

We have just received our takeaway delivery from Mexigo -it’s now all in the bin -along with the HUGE polystyrene containers it came in. The food was horrendous. We ordered various ‘‘tapas’’ to the value of £38. Here’s a tip - go to Iceland, spend £4 on frozen party food and put it in the microwave until it’s soggy -you’ll get the same result and will save yourself £34 of your hard earned cash. Disgraceful. (Spoke to a friendly and helpful lady on the phone but wasn’t offered a refund). NOT what you want from a lockdown treat :(

Too small a portion for the price. Ordered from this place for the first time yesterday through Just Eat. Two fajitas, a burrito and two sides. Came to a total of just under £42. When the order arrived, we were disappointed that the portions were so small. My youngest, who is 7, never eats all her dinner. However, she ate everything that was ordered for her. The taste is ok. Shame really as I had high hopes for this place and would have made a nice change from the usual stuff (kabab, pizza etc). Unfortunately, we won't be ordering from here again.

Decided to try Mexigo for a change but could not have been more disappointed! Firstly, ordered using the app which was supposed to give us 20% off but didn’t. Secondly, arrived to collect our order when advised to when making the order and our food hadn’t been started yet! Once we received the food and got in the car to drive home we were called to say half the order was missing! We finally got home and opened our food expecting wonderful things but were bitterly disappointed. The ‘fajitas’ were swimming in oil and did not taste anything like fajitas; pieces of chicken, pepper & onion in a passata sauce. Definitely not worth the price and will not be returning.

Tasty food and a great alternative to your normal curries or chinese.

I ordered 2 starters and one main. The bbq wings starter was very tasty, very flavoursome. Not sure what the sauce was, the smell didn't make me want to try. The main was wrong. I ordered chicken and prawns and received steak and prawns. The flavour wasn't very nice for me at all, quite bland. I was excited to try the onions rings but once again, bland. Im not sure how. I feel a bit ill. Would NOT eat from here again

Updated: Reduced 2 stars New staff made it really difficult to feel welcomed. Deliveroo man just walked straight through in to the kitchen like he would be at home. A serious hygiene concern? The food is good - we ate two very nice burritos - but the preparation time was too long and, on top of that the delivery service was terrible (something like an half of hour late)

Imagine visiting a food establishment in the middle of a pandemic and feeling like an inconvenience. Ordered 3 things off the menu, none were available. The excuse was, "we don't have them tonight". Ok. It happens. We ordered alternative options. Potato wedges seems simple enough, so I ordered them. Why order wedges though when you can get the same texture and consistency from Fred West's discarded patio slabs? I walked up to the till. I complained about the food. "I'm sorry sir, but I've worked here for a period of time therefore your opinion is invalid", would be a polite way of putting his response. The other members of staff looked embarrassed by his conduct. Ashamed, even. The same excuse has been passed down the ages; "I was only doing my job". Except now, that's not quite good enough. In the era of COVID-19, time is limited; particularly when you run a small business. Every customer is a precious commodity. It is therefore quite staggering that this establishment would treat a potential customer as if it were a particularly repugnant tweet by Nigel Farage. I will not be visiting again.

I've ordered from Mexigo (via Deliveroo) for delivery 4 times. 3 of those 4 times my order has been delivered almost an hour late. Whilst the food (pork burrito/naked burrito) has been fairly tasty, it's always cold. I won't waste my time & money ordering from here anymore.

Great Mexican food and drinks. Prices are not unreasonable and the service is excellent. Highly recommended 👌

The distance from Mexico to the eatery as clearly had an impact..... I have had more spice in a cumberland, the menu sounds enticing but in reality it lacks in every way. We tried a wide range of items and all of them despite the vibrant colours just had little to no taste. Great ideas poor execution!! We are not snobby just regular folk but even our budget taste buds where screaming for help.

We came across this place while doing Christmas shopping in Maidstone, the place smelled amazing, staff very welcoming, explained the menu choices and we sat inside to eat chimichangas which were fantastic. We have since ordered deliveries a few times all have been as good as being sat in there. House fries are lovely.

2 hours for delivery? No updates, they’re shocking. Stay well clear. Restaurant staff are rude and Blame corona virus, is that really an excuse for bad customer service? I think not.

First time going to Mexigo but never again ordered Churros and they were horrible nothing like a churro should look they were pale and not cooked properly tasted horrible looked horrible with a drizzle of sauce over them see for yourself in the pictures.

First time ordering from here never again bought churros from here they were disgusting nothing like them cooked from frozen I say cooked but they were not even cooked properly basically raw.

Worst delivery experience I've ever had with a restaurant. 2 hour wait and food turned up with items missing, no compensation or apology and then the missing items were said to be on their way and never arrived and no refund for missing items. The food was average at best. Some of their staff attitude is rude. Avoid this place at all costs.

First time of using Mexigo tonight! I ordered online and selected a 7.45 delivery. Jumped out the shower at 6pm when I heard a knock at the door, it was the delivery driver with our food! After explaining that he was nearly 2 hours early and that my husband wasn’t home, I called Mexigo who couldn’t apologise enough and said to send the driver and the food back! I was worried the food would just get reheated but at 7.45 on the dot the food was delivered and tasted AMAZING!!! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back for more

Second time In 2 weeks we have ordered the steak & chicken fajitas. My husbands words were they are unbelievable!!

As a Texan desperately looking for decent tacos in England, Mexigo is the best I've found thus far-at least in Maidstone. The red salsa is good, and the pico de Gallo is close enough. Chatting with the person behind the counter, they explained the locals aren't fussed on spicy food. With that in mind, I think they got it right with what they have/and the demographic they are serving in. The lime and Corona are all nice touches as well as the Jarritos soda. The tacos were good, well prepared and the staff was excellent. They also deliver!

Horrible takeaway. Bland food that had blatantly been microwaved. Made me feel physically sick when eating it. Majority of food thrown in the bin. To be classified as a Mexican restaurant is an absolute farce. Will never be ordering from here again.

Very disappointed with the visit to Mexigo last night - expected more from ‘the best takeaway 2016’. The staff were very rushed and unprofessional. I ordered burritos, chips and nachos. The server made the burritos before starting to cook the chips, leaving them to get cold on the counter. When 5 minutes passed, I asked if they could keep them warm somewhere, nearly ready (and left them there) - it was nearly another 5 minutes. By the time I got it home, it all had to go in the microwave.As far as the food goes, I found the burritos to be under seasoned, but the spiced chips I waited for were very nice. The free churros were a nice touch.Not somewhere I would be going again.
