Wow wow wow! An amazing experience! The staff were superb and was super welcoming! The food was also absolutely fantastic! We could not recommend anywhere better!

Yet another really good meal here last night. The friendly greeting on arrival and the service is consistently high. Food is plentiful and fresh. Nothing to dislike here.

The food was very tasty and there was a large choice of options. The service was efficient and friendly and overall we all thought it was very good value for money.

Lunch menu is back frindy servies . Cocktaile pubbings are all great .lol Dec is love with privet saeeting and difrent leveled flooring for thoos big grop meetings. The foos never lets us down

Absolutely superb - food, staff. atmosphere - just sorry it's not a bit nearer home. Four different dishes - all 4 of us impressed - can't say better than that, especially for one fussy one!! Hopefully will return

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Fantastic service, great waiter, overheard us at the door, came out and advised us on lunch menu versus bottomless brunch. Great table, great set lunchtime menu at fair price. As was a birthday treat I am very happy. Babaganoush was a LUSH starter. Atmosphere and music was great. Cocktails at lunchtime-*** Waiter, even ran out to call us back as we had left mobile phone on seat. Superb customer service, would defo recommend.

As a frequent customer of the Mevan I am disgusted at the rude gentlemen i have just encountered on the phone. After phoning up late afternoon in hope for a collection on Christmas Eve (which i appreciate is a busy time of year) the young boy i spoke to then passed me on to his senior who bellowed at me “WHAT IS THE PROBLEM ORDER WITH UBEREATS/JUST EAT? WE ARE TOO BUSY TO SPEAK TO YOU.” When answering that my village was not on this, he said TOUGH WE ARE TOO BUSY” Disgusting. Phoned up Ephesus who’s service i could not fault.

Went with a friend who I don’t see often. Starter was great, main was lamb kleftico which I’ve had elsewhere and it’s been amazing, this was a lamb shank on mash potato if you ask me. Service was reasonable, prices expensive… I’d need to return to try something else to recommend…

I would like to congratulate the Mevan on the worst dining experience we have ever experienced “ the service was poor properly due to being understaffed “possibly understandable during the current climate “ That is where my symphony ends “ the food they are currently serving there is truly truly awful “my wife’s food which I may add was a “chiefs special “ was the worst meal I have ever seen presented in a restaurant It is such a shame as the restaurant itself looks fantastic “however do not be fooled “the food is a disgrace.

This was a good restaurant to visit for a meal and a chat. It has now become a party venue with loud disco music. Fine if your part of a large group out on the town but not if you’re looking for a meal in relaxed surroundings. The food was good but our drinks did not arrive until after the first course. We would have had a dessert and coffee but by the time we were able to get someone’s attention we were ready for the bill

Food is clearly fresh, service is good and reasonable considering that your food is so fresh. Can't get enough of their complimentary bread and dips.

Great place to visit with friends. Service was ok, the food was fantastic can not fault the chefs! Beautiful food which came quickly too. The vibe and decor is also great, good experience overall and I would come back. My only niggle was that I ordered the prawn casserole which on their menu states comes with rice and salad which I did not get, and when I asked the waitress if it came with rice she checked and said no. So I just had the prawns cooked in a beautiful sauce. Luckily my table ordered a side to share but it was disheartening that the dish was different to what was listed on the menu

We have been regulars to the mevan since it opened in Leighton and when lockdown happened we missed our favourite Turkish restaurant, as we had many family parties there and we were always treated like royalty by the owners.Then we see that if was being refurbished and found out it was under new ownership we couldn’t wait to see and see if the food was still amazing and hoping to see if the old staff had been retained.We were not disappointed, great refurb and as we walked in there was a new greeter and then the old manager came and gave us a big hug and the best barman in town was still there.We were sat down and it was like we were at home with complimentary shot and nothing was a problem.It was was great to see the restaurant packed and atmosphere great and being treated the same by the new and old staff. The menu had changed slightly and prices had been increased, but this would be expected but the service and food was still amazing if not better.Fully recommend the new look food and restaurant And Alex is the best shot maker and the staff are awesome.See you soon guys and ladies.

One of the best Turkish meals I have ever had, and I have tried a lot. Meat was cooked to perfection, staff were also very friendly.

Visited this cosy restaurant on a business trip and all I can say is phenomenal. The most amazing Turkish food me and my companions had tasted, food was delicious and meat cooked perfectly. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. After displaying our appreciation for the quality of dishes and passing our compliments to the chefs they were kind enough to offer us a free dessert.Will travel from Glasgow again just for this. 5 stars.

Group of friends for a birthday celebration ! Menu was very extensive with lots of choices on it lots Of good dishes Staff are all very friendly and helpful if your unsure what a dish will be like !Definitely recommend a visit the restaurant is very clean and kept to a very high standard

Superb food. Wonderful, friendly service and I'd forgitte how good Zinfandel Blush could be. Lot if wonderful anniversary events over our 52 years, but this was amongst the best.

Turned up with a group of 7 on a busy Friday evening thinking we wouldn't get in, but they welcomed us to two tables next to eachother which was great! The service was fantastic, and the food was absolutely amazing, would highly recommend this restaurant!

Been using for a while but after today never again food it’s not great but bad ether little over priced but most of the staff are nice when with my wife and my son who is special needs asked for a table as usual was ask had we already booked it was half empty as you would expect on a Monday evening we were told new policy bookings only new management took over so i said ok I’ll make a booking online and was told it had to be done 24 hours in advanced i said really looked at their website and it dosent say anything about on the website and no signs on the front door or window she we don’t need to have them so we left and won’t ever be going back and if you have anyone with special needs i wouldn’t bother felt terrible how she was judging my child

Pre ordered direct with the restaurant at 3pm for a 7:30 delivery. Got to 8:20 having been unable to get in contact with restaurant. I ended up driving to the restaurant (although had ordered delivery) only for my husband to call whilst on route to say it had been delivered with no apology whatsoever! I wouldn’t mind if I had placed the order at 6:30 for 7:30 delivery however the order was placed 4 hours in advance and not even a common decency phone call to apologise that it was going to be late and then again no apology upon delivery. Awful customer service.

Nice new décor, but please drop the music! it's too loud and not very pleasing to the ear. The food is great and the price reasonable, but shame the staff can't smile a bit more.

Always order takeaway from here and really like it so when we went in to eat for the first time I was really disappointed.The prawn starter was £7 for three small prawns. Although quite nice. Friends halloumi was rubbery.Ordered mixed seafood with creamy mash. The mash came out looking like a sauce honestly the weirdest texture ever definitely wasn’t mash. More like liquid stringy cheese/potato sauce my friend started laughing when I told her that was the mash. The fish was over cooked and tough almost like cooked from frozen. All pieces were burnt. Prawns were so burnt and overcooked you couldn’t de-shell them.I had just done a 12hr shift plus travelling time without food so I ate the pieces of fish and salad. I mentioned to the waiter about this and showed the prawns staff were really rude especially as I was trying to be helpful stating if we had visited here for the first time and hadn’t got takeaway we wouldn’t be coming back.My friends chicken she said had a strange raw like texture. Chips and salad were fine and fresh. Cocktails were niceI’m going to try Mevan again purely because we usually order takeaway but if there food is bad etc next time il stop ordering all together sadly :( hence why I pointed out the issues to staff. It’s a shame really.

I have not been back for some time and I wish I had. The new look is amazing, staff so attentive, food fabulous and ambiance perfect. Great night out.

I have ordered a grill octopus. And then bring me a boil and comply raw octopus have complained but the stuff is very rude and refusing refund or bring another one. Please poeple avoid.

Visited Mevan last night with family and we had a,great evening. The food was delicious, the portions were very generous and the service was very good. We recommend this restaurant and hope to return soon

We just had our first visit back to Mevan since before lock down and couldn’t have been more impressed. During lockdown and before they closed the kitchen for the refurb we enjoyed a couple of take ways from Mevan and the quality of the food was just as good as eating in. This is our favourite restaurant in LB and the new look since their refurbishment is lovely. Food is so tasty and fresh and the new additions to the menu suit every taste and appetite . The lunch menu remains excellent value. Service was great with staff friendly and attentive. So glad our favourite restaurant is back open and thriving.

Always felt Megan was a good venue with OK food but they’ve really upped their game since I last went. Better quality ingredients rather than massive portions are a big improvement for me. Impressed and will go back (would like some puffy bread, tho!)

Very disappointed with the quantity of food we received yesterday, this photo of food cost me £81.50 (there was also a coke not in the photo).The food was really delicious just a shame there wasn’t much of it and for the price I paid I would have expected more. We ordered a jumbo platter which should serve 3-4 people and a mixed grill for 1. I did call the establishment after collecting the order to confirm we had received the whole order, which they said we had received everything. A real shame as we have used this restaurant before and would have been a regular spot for us.

Always delicious in mevan! Would definitely recommend to anyone. Only downside is it can be pricey at times but the food makes up for it!

We ordered a takeaway for a family of 3, food was delivered on time and arrived hot and delicious , very generous portions.

Average food, rather bland and a bit overpriced for what you get. The meat skewers are under-seasoned, but decent quality. Smallish portions. The veggie dishes are very poor, and the salad is just a basic lettuce and tomato, a few fragrant leaves, with little dressing. The bread is nice, chips under cooked and fat frozen, not the french fries promised. Having said all that, Mevan is still better than most of the other options in this town!

Very disappointed with the food and delivery tonight. When the delivery arrived most of the food was cold which we understood as they have to do a lot of deliveries however they missed an item that we ordered. We called up and they redelivered the missing food (quite quickly to be fair) however they got the order wrong again! When we called up a 2nd time they said they weren't sending the delivery driver out again and when we insisted they send us the order we ordered & paid for they called us deluded, told us never order from them again and hung up. We will happily oblige and never order or visit this establishment again.

Shocking customer service, even during a pandemic. We ordered as local clients. Paid over £50 pounds for a meal for two. Phoned to check they had the order. Then the food never arrived. Tried to call over 30 times but no answer. The takeaway service is a scam and we will be seeking legal advice to recoup our money. Do not attempt to use this restaurant. Please don't waste your money.

Five hungry people decided to stray away from the regular Chinese or Indian and tried Mevan Turkish take away. The order was for 3 meat dishes, 1 vegetarian and 1 seafood platter. The entire order came to just under £100.00 All meat and vegetarian meals were good, however, the only reason why I have given it 2 stars is because of the seafood platter. If I could, I would report them to trading standards. 2 over cooked calamari rings, 2 prawns, a bit of smoked salmon and sauce for £22.00 folks!! That is a disgrace. I would order from there again because the meat was good, but PEOPLE BEWARE!! Avoid the fish and especially the Seafood Platter!!! A personal message for the owners/chef; re-brand or rename what you termed platter! One persons disappointment tarnished what should have been an enjoyable experience after a hard week at work! You should offer to refund the £22.00

I ordered on NYE (I can imagine how busy you guys must have been). I got a call from the delivery driver, who had accidentally gone to the wrong address. I was a little worried the food might be cold once it finally got to me. The food was still hot and as amazing as ever. The Beyti is always perfectly cooked with such a generous portion and the bread we ordered was superb.Had a surprised knock at the door tonight by two of the team at Mevan who were very apologetic about the slight mishap with the delivery and offered myself a bottle of wine and a box of Turkish delights. I couldn't believe it, it has made my night, I am still smiling whilst typing this out. I hadn't even complained or made a fuss regarding my delivery. Amazing service, amazing team and amazing food.Thanks guys we'll certainly be ordering from you guys again (we would have even without your generous offering) and can't wait to dine in again once we can.

Treatment of staff is absolutely appalling, very clear divide between men and women who work there. Through my whole meal it made me feel extremely uncomfortable.

£9We took grandson for lunchas he had never been to a Turkish restaurant before. His pizza was superb, none left whilst chips were perfect. My wife and I took advantage of the £9.90 special offer lunch menu and both meals were delicious. Highly recommended.

Well Done Mevan. A brilliant delicious meal in Covid times. Booked a table here and used the eat out to help our scheme. Food was absolutely amazing. Delicious, well cooked hot food. Staff were wonderful and worked so hard. We were delighted we could come out and spend some money and had a great time and great experience. We will be back!!

We have always had excellent service here. They have taken Covid seriously. All the waiters wore masks and the tables had been adjusted to provide at least the 1 metre gap recommended. The food was excellent and plentiful. We chose the Turkish wine which went well with the food. They were taking part in the Government Eat Out to Help Out scheme so £10 off the bill per person.

The table we were put on wasn’t the best. The service was not great. The food was pretty good though. I had to ask for my starters which had been forgotten about, so it can out with our mains - not ideal ! I may visit again, but wouldn’t rush back. Not my favourite Turkish restaurant.

Ordered food for collection. Told it would be 45 minutes before I could collect. Arrived 45 minutes later (on time) - waited nearly another 40 minutes for the food to be handed over. Was told repeated lies about how long the food would take to be ready (your food is just coming now (30 minutes before it was ready) "your food will just be 5 more minutes (15 minutes before it was ready). Ten meals went out with the delivery driver while I waited. That is terrible service guys. If you are busy - that is great, but don't give me a load of lies about when to collect my order and when I arrive. Massively unprofessional. There is another restaurant in town who say "collect your order in ten minutes" - and it is ready when I arrive. Very poor. Not going to do this again.

This was our first meal out since Covid and we had our reservations as to where to go. However I must admit I was blown away by the impeccable cleanliness service and the attention to detail to make diners feel at ease in such a worrying time. All the menus were disposable all the staff had masks and the cutlery was individually wrapped a touch I felt really finished it off. What can I say about the food other than wow Beautiful, my partner had the lamb chops and I had the waiters recommendation lamb wrapped. Will definitely be returning and I would highly recommend anybody looking to go out for a nice meal in the not packed place come here you will not be disappointed!

With things the way they are at the moment we feel we still need to make the most of the services that are available and the Mevan has fulfilled the need to still make a Saturday evening special. The food was amazing and plentiful and the collection set-up for takeaway is more than what is required given current advice. You really need to try this place! I’ll be surprised if you’re disappointed.

Had a surprise birthday dinner here with family. Brilliant service and the food was delicious. They went out their way to help with parking up our twin pram. Highly recommend, look forward to returning. We have just ordered for collection.

We visited Saturday evening as a group of 7 having been working in Panto all day, so we were ready for food and drinks. Arrived about 9.00. The place was Heaving !! Lots of birthday parties and people having a great time.Sadly the quality of the service was at best indifferent, with a round of drinks taking 20-25 minutes to arrive, yet a bowl of soup, as one of the party decided on a starter, took only 2 minutes (Yes - he did then have to wait another 20 minutes for the beer). We could see the barman and it was clear that he just wasnt getting the orders passed to him.....Sadly the food is also rather bland, the charcoal grill Chicken and Adama (long thin Lamb steakburger) was served with rather dull rice and what was supposed to be a mixed salad. Since when was a dead looking grilled chunk of some sort of green pepper and a very dead grilled half tomato, a salad. VERY disappointing. Nothing on the table of 7 really looked like it was at the top of its game. And yes, subsequent drinks also took ages and at least one waiter totally forgot to put the order in.... The total for the evening was about £37 per head, which considering the shambles, was very steep.I shall consider carefully my next invite to this establishment.

Great meal quick Trip on a Friday night. Although we didn’t book in advance thinking it wouldn’t be busy. We did arrive to a very quiet restaurant and it seemed touch and go if they would fit us in due to advance bookings so perhaps best to book in advance. House wine and local beer was good. Waiters all helpful and friendly. We have the sharing platter for 2-3 and although I don’t eat a huge amount my husband and I easily managed this. If considering ordering for 3 perhaps order a couple of side as though plants of rice salad was only a small bowl. Food was well cooked and very tasty, lavas bread was very good as were the pepper dip and tzatziki. Haven’t visited in 3 years and was pleasantly surprise with the meal good option in a limited choice in town. Will definitely be back!

We dined in a party of six at the weekend on a very busy night at this restaurant. We order fish, vegan, vegitarean and meat dishes all of which arrived in a timely manor. Evetyone agreed that the food was deliceous and the service friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this place but make sure you reserve a table.

The food was hot tasty and plentiful, only criticism would be that the plates where cold, however many dishes did come with salad side. The atmosphere was great, surrounds comfortable and cleaning. Yes, we have been here quite a few times and would not keep going back if the food and service were not good. This last visit was on a Sunday lunchtime with my sister and brother-in-law on their way back from Bedfordshire to Worcestershire. Excellent food They loved it, as we always do. Excellent food and service at reasonable prices. No, it is not cheap but not too expensive - as I say good value for money

Have been here twice and food has always been good. Service can be a little fast sometimes and prices might be a touch high for the area but we've always enjoyed ourselves. Wine is good and food always tasty.

Don’t go on a Saturday evening. I went with my daughter and wife to celebrate her birthday and were sat next to a large table of middle aged men. My wife was very upset with the language that some of the men were using so much so she wanted to say something to them. Fearing a confrontation my daughter stopped her. Although the staff listened to our complaint they were not willing to do anything about it apart from offering us things things that we didn’t accept . On leaving I did speak to one of the men who apologised but the damage had been done by then. It was also not very nice for the young female waiters. I won’t be going back and I would like to thank the large number of men on the table who were old enough to know better for upsetting my wife

Visited with my mum and can honestly say the food was amazing, the flavours were just delicious! I had King Prawns and mum had vegetarian aubergine dish, and we shared a baclava. So tasty!! Needless to say the rest of the afternoon was written off dozing on the sofa with a film !! Thank you !!

Visited this restaurant many times, And I never have been disappointed. Very nicely designed interior makes you feel really pleasant, very positive and polite service and good food makes this place perfect to celebrate any occasion or great experience for weekend night out with a friends. Dish selection is very wide I recommend to try everything as it is worth to come back and try something else. During my last visit I had fish and it was lovely fresh nicely grilled I was very impressed. I would definitely rank this place as Leighton’s one off top 3 restaurants! Highly recommended

First time here and really enjoyed the experience. The decor is very nice and the pictures I saw before visiting don’t do it justice. It’s a really nice setting and atmosphere. Lovely food and good service. Highly recommend.

A Sunday night and not massively busy but a pleasant enough place to eat. Good staff - attentive but not overly so, and served promptly and professionally. Well-flavoured meals, good selection, not overly expensive, and portion size was generous. Would certainly give it another go.

Our family has visited Mevan multiple times now and the food has been great every time! The food in Mevan is delicious and all of it is served fresh. All the family loved it and it's nice atmosphere. Really nice place!

It’s great to revisit and still find great service and good food. It’s is very good value and although best to book they will usually fit you in for two or four guests. Wide variety on the menu and their house Turkish red is as good as any of the dearer wines.

Good food at reasonable prices. The set lunch menu at £9.90 for two courses and £11.90 for three is excellent. Plenty of choices and vegetarians can have a good selection too. Think dishes are authentic. Free home made bread and dips to start.

Good wide menu. It can get quite packed, they dont waste any floor space but the place has a good buzz. Not the place for a quiet romantic meal, more a party upbeat place.

We visited here for a family members birthday. We live an hour's away, so it's not somewhere we would usually visit. We were all seated upstairs, the restaurant is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. I'm not a big fan of Turkish food usually, too many bad experiences, but...this place is great. The food is lovely. We really enjoyed the bread and vegetarian platter with dips to start. I had the chicken somale (I think that's what it was called). Tasty food and came in good time considering how many of us there were. Would recommend this place if you're in the area.

Managed to get a table in this busy restaurant for a rare date night. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and the food was delicious. Be warned the portions are large! Having had a sharing platter for starters I could barely finish half of the lovely main!

I very rarely feel it necessary to review a restaurant twice but this one deserves it. My first review of Mevan was my first visit to a Turkish restaurant and i didn't know what to expect but was suitably impressed. We have since been back 5 times and i have to say if anything it gets better. The food is always well presented, hot and very tasty. The staff are friendly and attentive, always polite. It's an absolute pleasure having food placed in front of you rather than dumped down without a word as has happened on several occasions in other establishments in town. Top restaurant in town at present in my honest opinion. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

Came here on a Saturday when it was pretty busy, pleased we'd booked! Brilliant Turkish cuisine which really seems to be really taking off in the UK. Not too spicy & not too badly priced. I didn't mind the wait either as the food was pretty special. Cannot wait to come back!

Often visit here and always lovely food and staff, beautiful restaurant. Good portions too and the puff bread is amazing although I think you should get more complimentary really as other places do. Only gripe is they have stopped doing wraps which is odd and a shame as they were amazing and popular. Wish they would put these on menu again

This restaurant is located centrally in the town of Leighton Buzzard and right across from the cinema. The dining room is very attractive and is graced by soft pleasant music. The menu is large and comprehensive with many Turkish specialities. We rec’d a warm welcome and prompt, caring service. Our food selections were delivered promptly...including complimentary bread and savory condiments. The quality of our dinner was of a high standard and the price was very reasonable. The Mevan Restaurant is highly recommended.

Four of us dined here midweek and we weren’t disappointed. The complimentary bread with dips were yummy and the waiter replenished the bread once we had devoured it. Three of us selected the Mevan mixed grill whilst the other had the lamb chops. The food is cooked on a charcoal grill in the kitchen at the side of the restaurant, as it often is in Turkey. The meat was tender and tasty and the portion sizes are huge so make sure you’re hungry! Definitely somewhere I would like to revisit when back in LB.

My wife & I and a couple we were with arrived around 7pm without a reservation and it looked as though the restaurant was in full swing, however were shown to a table straight away. The restaurant is nicely decorated, with exposed beams and has a great atmosphere. The staff are friendly & welcoming.

Wow what a lovely place to eat, I had wanted to go for a while but never seemed to get round to it what a silly mistake as I was missing out on amazing food and beautiful interior. I will certainly be going again 😁

Once again back this time with family. Mevan second visit has not let us down, the attention to detail most excellent food & service very good.

Been a few times with friends and family, the food is always fresh and tastes gorgeous, the service is excellent, a little gem in Leighton Buzzard.

As you walk in the aromas are mouthwatering & the food is freshly cooked & amazing. The staff are lovely & attentive. Atmosphere is great. Lots of families & couples of all ages, so a great night for anyone. Highly recommended 👍

Taken to the MEVAN restaurant by our friends for the evening. Very welcoming staff, seated quickly. The atmosphere in this restaurant was buzzing and the aromas from the kitchen were to die for. Our food was so fresh and cooked to perfection. I am normally quite critical about food if it's not up to scratch, but I can honestly say that I can not fault this restaurant at all. I look forward to visiting again soon.

Absolutely fabulous food from starter to dessert. The staff were so friendly! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys different food experiences. Well worth a visit

Recommend booking as this place gets very busy. Great ambiance and atmosphere, the restaurant was packed across the three levels. We had two courses (vegetarian), plus two glasses of red and two g&t;'s and the bill came to £65. Very reasonable. The vegetarian meze was delicious, the puffed bread was fresh and tasty. The mains of Mevan Special and Mousaka were delicious (although may be a bit more seasoning was required). Special call out to the service here which was perfect- attentive, friendly and professional. We will be returning with the teenagers for a family Sunday lunch!
