Metro Bar in Derry

Fantastic From start to finish! Cocktail making was brilliant with the best bar staff ever! Dee made sure wee had the best night and looked after all the girls. The door staff were brilliant crack especially Arlene! The music was brilliant! Safe to say wee will be back!!!

Just returned home from my sisters hen party in Derry. Have to say this place went out of there way to make are night brilliant. Thanks to Dee,Arleen,paidrig and Niall and rest of the staff. Highly recommend this place

Came on a hen party and can recommend it enough, bar staff were amazing, place was lit and probably one of the best nights we’ve all had in ages . Definitely will be back 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Acabo de volver de una despedida de soltera en Derry y me encantó cada minuto. Fuimos a una clase de coctelería en el metro anoche y fue fabuloso. Un montón de cócteles para elegir y Prosecco a la llegada. El personal de los camareros, Niall y Padr ig a los porteros Arlene, Kyle y Miche fueron fantásticos, muy amables y mantuvieron la calma. No puedo esperar a volver. Gracias especiales a Dee, el gerente que no pudo hacer lo suficiente para nosotros.

Vine aquí para mi despedida de soltera, es genial decir lo menos! El personal es fantástico, especialmente el gerente Dee, ¡fue fabuloso en asegurarse de que nuestro grupo estuviera bien atendido desde el momento en que entramos por la puerta! ¡La clase de coctelería también fue brillante y bien vale la pena el dinero gastado! El personal del bar Niall y paidrig fueron muy buenos en asegurarse de que todos estuviéramos contentos y la grieta fuera de 90! Sin duda volveremos, ¡ojalá tuviéramos que pasar nuestra noche de viernes aquí también! Si vienes a Derry, definitivamente es el lugar para estar. ¡No te decepcionará! ¡Gracias de nuevo!

¡Acabo de regresar a casa de lo que fue una excelente noche en el Metro Bar! ! Habíamos organizado una clase de coctelería con Dee y debo decir que de principio a fin fue excelente.

Called in for a pint having completed a walk of the city walls. Quiet on a Monday afternoon but made to feel more than welcome by the friendly barman.

Me gustó la decoración, la música y el barman que era muy hablador de una manera agradable. Buena selección de cervezas y puedes escucharte pensar pero apostaría que este lugar se llena. Volveremos ya que tuvimos un buen momento v allí. Gracias metro

Came into a bag which I have always known to be busy and was shocked beyond belief to see it was empty. Got a drink and sat wmd watched staff sit and eat a KFC’s chicken or whatever at end of bar

Pub muy concurrido, vibrante, adulto joven en el lugar, sin duda de moda y más de 20 s. Disfrutamos de nuestra noche con una gran pantalla de televisión y un fabuloso servicio de bar.

Had brilliant night in metro music and atmosphere was class friendly staff and door staff very helpful nice definitely recommend here if visiting Derry

Its a good place to drink some shots, i was in derry for one week and this bar it was the best that i found. I reccommended!

Probamos este bar en nuestro primer viaje a Derry en una recomendación de nuestro conductor de taxi, el bar estaba limpio y el personal era amable. Pedí un cosmopolita que era demasiado dulce y no de Lima. Tienen pantallas decente para ver deporte y creo que es probablemente más un bar de hombres, me parece que carece de ambiente y no es el bar más emocionante en Derry!

I have never eaten in the metro bar however have been there a lot for drinks. The bar has live music and also a dj which is great. Drinks promotions in the metro too are good.

Went here to celebrate 3 40th birthdays. Fabulous place with great music. Bar staff great. The place goes crazy from about 11.30. Definitely worth a visit on a night out.

Comimos aquí la semana pasada. Un muy buen bar tranquilo metido junto a famosas murallas de derry. El personal es amable. Buenas opciones de menú y extra especiales. Excelente relación calidad-precio - comidas completas por menos de £7. Muy buen tamaño repetir y de gran calidad. El único inconveniente - los baños. La puerta de las mujeres está enfrente de una zona de preparación de alimentos que tiene la puerta abierta. También los baños necesitan ordenadas y regulares.

Brilliant bar with friendly staff. Great offers on drinks and grub. Would recommend this bar to anyone traveling to Derry, staff make you feel at home

Had some good here while watching a match, good for a quick bite while something on the TV but not great. Nice bar tho- will be back for a drink!!

Had a great time in the metro!! No complaints... Good food, good service and great craic! We will be back!!

I go in with my brother every week for our lunch. Food is excellent and staff are attentive. The prices are also very competitive and there is plenty of seats as well as live sports all day. The Chorizo Chicken is top notch, as well as there burgers.

Attended the metro on 8th of January,whilst trying to have a lunch date, the waitresses where rude and intrusive, who's initial greeting was " are you's in fer food"- quickly followed by a large sigh and a very disgruntled look! The fantastically horrendous services was added to when she threw us down two menus and cutlery rolled up in napkins which were both filthy! Whilst waiting on our food I noticed a chef wondering around in a rather dirty chef jacket and jeans, and a larger man walking around in a dirty jacket which looked like it had seen better days yet it claimed "executive chef" - it didn't seem busy yet chef's bellow could be heard at the far end of the rather empty pub! I had been here over christmas as had better service and food and can only assume I that the actual chef was off and that they where taking liberties!The food was poorly presented and the and although both of us asked for sauce separately it came on top the dish! I was very disappointed and I wi not be back again! Food hygiene rating couldn't possibly any greater than 0 as I would dread to think of what the kitchen looked like if the chef looked as he did!

We called in for a late lunch, delighted that somewhere was serving food after 3pm. The service was great, a proper friendly Derry greeting, our server was attentive but not interfering, all the staff we encountered seemed very pleasant, with a smile and a nod or friendly word as we left. The atmosphere could have been better, a wee bit bland with too many TVs with football on. The food was completely plain, you got everything as described, no more and no less, but it was delicious, perfectly cooked. I'm always pleased when I get steak rare when I order it rare, basic but other places which charge double often get this wrong. Value for money was incredible: 3 of us had a main course and drink and got change of twenty quid! We'll definitely be back.

Went there New Years Eve - although the entire city streets were extremely quiet the Metro Bar is an oasis - when you walk in the door there are almost 700 people in there - big bar but not much room for moving around - but it was New Years Eve so you have to consider that. Nice bar, cheap drink and very friendly people.

I called in last week just to see what it was like, and was pleasantly surprised. There was a premiership soccer match on live, and most of the young crowd were watching it. It's dark inside, like a disco, but comfortable, and I found the staff very friendly, as I've found most Derry folk. I didn't stay long, as I felt a bit old to be hanging out here, but still enjoyed my visit. I'd imagine it's a different animal at night time, because of the disco.

Avoid at all costs. the head bouncer was total joke and def someone on a power trip. wudnt let friend in because he claimed he was drunk as he stumbled on the rought surface!! friend hadnt been drinking and other bouncer agreed but he couldnt do anything. worse bouncer with serious ego trip def not what places should employ

Busy on weekends with all the modern tunes you'd expect. A lot of well dressed people, but don't expect deep conversations amongst the chaos.

The food was very good here we had the curry and the waitress even got us a round of bread and butter which was very nice the bread was lovely! The staff were helpful but not very pleasant! The seating areas were very poor my foot kept slipping off the stool the tables were very high! the other seating bays were too close together! The place had a horrible nightclub smell! But the food was very very good, well done new chef!

Went into the metro for lunch order the special lamb chops, in came a large plate with two lamb chops a very very small bed of mash potatoes, first thing the knifes they give us could not cut the chops we had to ask for steak knifes to cut them, after that we had to do a lot of chewing to swallow them, we give up after the first chop, we then had to pay for chips to fill up the plate, I have been eating out a long time, but by hell needing steak knifes to cut chops, you never catch me in there again.

We enjoyed a great lunch here while on a day-trip to the City.Good food, quickly served and a very friendly and attentive staff.We would certainly call again when we are next in town.

A weekend visit from Cumbria and we came here both nights for drinks. We ended up with a crowd around us....but lucky for us they all came around for "the craic" and welcoming smiles.Very friendly bar staff and great locals....loved it. Cheers.

this bar is a must visit for sports fans loads of tv screens but the best is the beer staff and food dont know which is best as all 3 r brill but i have 2 mention the 2 course carvery for 5 pounds we had a large bowl of chicken and veg soup with a lovely warm roll followed by 2 huge slices of gammon with creamed spuds carrots and peas with a roast spud and gravy all served by staff who really go the extra mile our first visit 2 the metro but we will sure b back
