We travelled back to Eastbourne for a family do and we visited on a Saturday evening for food. We were struck by the warmth of the host and the friendly atmosphere. For us it always a good sign of a good Italian restaurant if Italian people eat there and they clearly do. Food and drink was really good quality and well prepared. The pizza base is worthy of a special mention as it was exceptional - light, crisp and thin. Really pleasant visit and will visit again when back in town.

I'm Italian and I was in eastbourne with friends and noticed this restaurant. As we went in the REAL Italian decoration left us amazed! I ate the Fioja (hope this is write correctly), a kind of Calabrese fresh pasta and they were just delicious and then we split a pizza between us and the 4 cheese is absolutely cheeeesy as I like it. What can I say abou Daniela? She is just really funny and an ARTIST! She showed us her creations and I was amused by her passion and creativity. What an experience!

Popped in at lunchtime and had a three course meal. Food was freshly prepared and cooked, extremely tasty.Excellent value.Background music was very pleasant and added to theatmosphere.Daniella made us very welcome.Cannot wait to eat there again. Will recommend to family and friends.

Io e la mia famiglia ci imbattiamo in questo locale per caso. Entro con il solito scetticismo che ho quando scelgo la cucina italiana all’estero. Mi guardo intorno e penso....almeno l’atmosfera è accogliente! Poi, veniamo accompagnati al tavolo da Daniela che tra simpatia e grande professionalità ci presenta il menu. Inizio a rilassarmi e a godermi la serata.Ordino fileja alla calabrese...molto buone, parmigiana...ottima, il tutto accompagnato da un pane fragrante!Mi sento a casa... mi sento tra amici, tutti nel locale hanno l’aria soddisfatta grazie alla cordialità di Daniela e alle prelibatezze preparate da suo marito.Termino la cena bevendo un Daniel blue marine e schiaccio l’occhio alla padrona di casa....MERAVIGLIOSO!

Our first visit and one, I am sure, of many more to come.The food here is truly delicious and authentic. Daniella the host is welcoming, chatty, helpful and very keen to make sure your visit is perfect.The Italian sausage with mushrooms and the squid starters were expertly cooked.For main course my partner asked if the chef could prepare pasta alla norma. Yes not a problem was the response and it was utterly delicious, especially with the home made pasta. I had the pizza alla norma of which the toppings were fresh and perfectly cooked.Now then! The tirasmisu! Home made by the chef himself? YES! The best tiramisu I have ever eaten? YES!A perfect ending to the best italian meal we have had outside of Italy.Keep up the good work. See you again very soon.

Me and my girlfriend are here last night based on the good reviews. We weren't disappointed. The restaurant has only been open 2 months and is owned by a husband and wife team from the south of Italy. Daniella, who is front of house, is lovely. Really friendly. A talented artist too; she made the sculpture on the bar and showed us some sketches of pieces she's planning for the walls.Back to the food. Starters were great; the bruschetta nduja was delicious, spicy but not too much with fresh tomatoes on top and my girlfriends bruschetta with ham and other toppings was a tasty treat.Mains were equally as good. The seafood pasta, with hand made home made pasta was incredible, packed with flavour. My calzone rosso (meat based) came out on the plate like a giant smile. It looked a little too large at first, but the dough was so light that it ended up being a perfect portion size. Best calzone I've had anywhere. Tiramisu for desert was creamy, full of flavour but still light. The home made limoncello is great and packs a punch. I'm not Italian, so can't vouch for authenticity, but this is hands down the best Italian I've had anywhere. My girlfriend said the same. Sadly there was only the two us there for half of our meal, which is a shame as the chain Italian restaurants in town are usually busy, but the food is nowhere near as good.Forget the rest, try the best. We'll be going back and will recommend to friends and family to give it a try.

I have been here for the first time with some friends, all of us italian, and we felt just like we were at home. The food is delicious and fresh, especially the homemade pasta which I had, the service was excellent with Daniela looking after us and the atmosphere was just perfect. I recommend to everyone who comes to eastbourne to pop in and try an authentic italian restaurant. I promise you won't be disappointed!

First time in Meraviglio restaurant,I was impressed regarding the Tagliatelle prawns very great tasting and the tiramisu I deffenetly will suggest,nice arsmofer from Daniela and Pasquale the owner.

This was just the antidote to a rainy Saturday lunchtime in Eastbourne.

Just had another amazing meal at Meraviglioso. The food is exceptional and the service, from Danielle, is warm and friendly.

Just visited Meraviglioso for the fourth time in as many weeks over my birthday period. This is without doubt the best Italian food this area has to offer. The freshest ingredients, cooked by Pasquali the superb chef, to the best quality one would expect from Italy. The tomato sauce in all of his dishes is the the best of any Italian restaurant I’ve tasted, and my partner being half Italian, we have ate at lots of Italians. All this superb food served by the lovely, and Pasquali’s wife, Daniela. Full of energy and Italian suave it is entertainment at its best. A certain must for any local and of corurse for any visitor to the town. Please try the Ndua Bruschetta, the famous spreadable sausage. Very spicy but great flavour. Very few Italian restaurants serve this, which is another reason to try this piece of Italian greatness. Just a little gem.

Fantastic service! Had the calamari and bruschetta for starters, cannelloni and vongle for mains, tiramisu and toffee sundae for dessert and homemade limoncello plus a bottle of white wine and it was all amazing. Fresh seafood, rich sauces and amazing desserts all served with personality and a smile!

This place is wonderful Food was delicious and served in a very friendly and sympathetic atmosphere Beautiful soft Italian music in a background but the best was a decor of this place - beatifully crafted and well presented with every detail suite each other I would recommend this place to all family and friends :) It is worth a visit.

I come from the south of Italy, and the hospitality, food, music of this restaurant reminds me home. Daniela is amazing! The quality of the ingredients is delightful. I strongly recommend!

Authentic italian food cooked by italians using the freshest ingredients according to traditional italian recipes. Daniela and her husband will make you feel like you had never left Italy! The parmigiana was delicious and they have all sort of different pasta, from the classic carbonara down to some regional specialties from south Italy. To complete a great dinner, Daniela offered us her homemade limoncello and her love elisir which is called after her (Daniel blue marine)! The atmosphere is lovely and Daniela is just a fantastic host. I can't recommend this place more!

Ottimo ristorantino ,ristrutturato con tantissimo buon gusto,con grandissima gentilezza da una professionalissima maitre di nome Daniela,maestra d’arte in tutti i sensi ,abbiamo apprezzato anche le sue sculture !!!Menu di altrettanto Buon gusto e pieno di particolarità tutte da assaggiare. Ristorante da annoverare tra i migliori anche per i prezzi .
