Memphis Smokehouse in Wolverhampton

Ordered a very large order recently, couldn’t find a positive thing to say about the food, far below average, chicken wings come wrong flavour as well as looking anaemic, with a dribble of sauce, burger patty was too thick, dry and awful tasting, brioche bun was soaking wet, unable to use bottom half, chips presented awful, bang average with a sprinkle of sauce and bacon, burnt ends, dry, over cooked, best thing about this order was throwing 3 quarters of it in the bin, will not ever be ordering again, can see why the restaurant is always empty, not to mention the steamed up windows, and very unclean looking chef

We both as a couple like good food but it’s terrible women cooking was loud and slow and just tasted of bbq sauce and was dry hardly much for your money I don’t usually write about food but this was really bad and Very expensive for the quality no Lock on toilet either wife was not happy about this.

Fantastic food really good quality and so tasty. Will definitely be visiting again. Good service as well

Never been to the restaurant - the food is ace but they should stick to the Restaurant as delivery and ordering is beyond dreadful. Previously ordered on a Friday night and delivery ended up One and a half hours late. The owner to his credit came with two 5 pound vouchers and an apology (i lost the vouchers) and said "next time order during the day for the evening and you'll not have to wait" I did that today giving them SIX HOURS notice. I still had to ring to chase to be given some very unbelievable excuses. The food finally arrived 50 minutes late. When the delivery arrived it was a single platter rather than the double platter we ordered (34 pounds worth) for a Birthday treat. Even then the single platter delivered had the beef brisket completely missing. So we did not receive even half the food ordered! To add insult to injury the onion rings were nearly raw. This restaurant really needs to stick what its good at, great meat! They need to abandon delivery services; they just cant get it right - read the other reviews the problems I had are not unique. Absolutely gutting that the 'service' lets down really good food. Don't order a delivery only go to their restaurant is the best advice I could give.

We ordered food to be delivered. We called as it was late and they were waiting for the driver. Food finally arrived 45 minutes late. Right up to delivery all was ok ....we opened the cartons and ALL the food was cold paid extra for brisket on the nachos ....3 measly pieces of chewy cold meat. We had to heat everything to make edible. We have asked for a refund or next order to be free but as yet no reply to the email. The real disappointment is the food could have been amazing but ruined by poor delivery time

I love love LOVE this place. The food is made to a high standard, the prices are reasonable and the delivery staff are reliable and offer amazing customer service. Consistantly very pleased.

Smoking is essentially greatest type of cooking ever. That being said though here in the heart of the black country Memphis smokehouse and grill and have have elevated it to so much more. If you want great comfort food like Dr pepper ribs,rolo brownies and Memphis Pork Belly Burnt Ends then this place is a must. There's something for whole family as a meal or a cheat day treat for 1. Memphis Smokehouse is a must for locals and those visiting the black country and Wolverhampton.

I’ve had a couple of home deliveries from here and the food has been fantastic on each occasion! I’m a big fan of pork burnt ends and pork ribs, incredibly tender with no fat. This place is the real deal serving proper smokehouse food! The portion size is very impressive too. We will be back again!

Could not complain food was so great i ordered again later on that evening i recommend to anyone reading this the grilled chicken burger and chips that was so tasty 😍 service was great as well the woman who brought the food was very friendly 👍

Absolutely amazing food, thanks once again Memphis. Top quality smokehouse, our new favourite takeaway. Big portions, great taste, friendly delivery service and good value for money. Love the cashback idea too. Always goes down a treat with family and friends. Cannot fault them 😁😋😋😋

Took over an hour and a half to arrive, food was stone cold, real shame considering the taste was good

I CAN NOT BELIEVE THIS PLACE waited 2hours to be told they cancelled my order. And they lied this is unacceptable

We ordered food online and were told the waiting time is 1.5hr which we agreed to but got our food 3.5hr after making an order and got told they were busy. Bloody joke that is. If you are busy you dont tell people unrealistic ETAs!! Absolutely disgusting. Chips and burger awful. Never again!

Took food 1hr45 min to arrive, was like warm, chicken and ribs were dry and chewy, brisket was missing. Awful.

Absolutely cracking customer service they were great with the children, very welcoming and the food was amazing! Can not fault the food but the restaurant itself was freezing. I'd recommend the platter for two it's enough for 4 and fairly priced.

Food itself was good except the steak was overcooked. The problem was it took 2 and a half hours and 3 phone calls to get it delivered. Absolutely ridiculous.

Food was amazing large portions,we all had different meals and all the meat was cooked to perfection 🤤will most definitely be going back soon.

Booked a table for 5 as a celebration. We had high expectations having looked at previous reviews and even then we were still wowed!!

First time customer and let me tell you that I will be ordering here again. I had Mac and cheese, burnt ends and the cosmic burger and it was amazing. Your food is spot on and would definitely make any American proud!!! Also your delivery lady had to be the nicest delivery lady ever! Pass on this praise please she's ace! Thanks for the amazing food, I will definitely be putting in another order soon. Also it's super well priced for what you get too! Such big portions at such a good cost! You guys rock!

We have a great early evening meal. Ribs chicken wings and beefburgers all with a mix of fries which there are a variety.

Excellent service and even better food! Food was smoked to perfection especially the burnt ends. The burgers and onion rings are to die for (not your average burger - trust me). Beautiful and clean premises. I can’t rate it high enough.

My parent were visiting so we decided to visit. The food was excellent. I had the burnt ends which was smoked to perfection and didn’t even need a knife to cut it. My mother had the belly pork which she loved. My dad had the Memphis burger and he said it was the best burger he’d ever had. We shared a portion of onion rings that were crispy and delicious.

We arrived at about 5pm on a Friday and the restaurant was empty but the welcome was warm and friendly. All of the staff chatted to us and were really kind and helpful, they went out of their way to make us comfortable and answer all of our questions.

It was our first visit to Memphis Smokehouse last week and it won’t be our last. First impressions was how clean it was....and nicely decorated in theme with the “Memphis” name.

My two friends and I visited Memphis on a Sunday and were greeted by a lovely young waitress and a friendly, smiling manager. We ordered 3 starters to share (Mac n cheese, nachos and cheesy garlic bread) and found them delicious. We were informed the Mac n cheese was a new and improved recipe, it was incredible! My friends had the pulled pork and the chicken skewers, they polished it off! I had the veggie burger and again, didn’t leave a crumb. All 3 of us loved the Jack Daniels sauce and when we went to order some more, the manager kindly gave us an extra pot on the house. Even though totally stuffed, we decided to take up the offer of complimentary cakes, this was a really nice touch and confirmed our loyalty to this new business in the future. Thank you to all the staff at Memphis for a totally welcoming (and tasty) experience.

Ordered food at just after 5pm, due to be delivered at 6.15 actually arrived 7.10 two hours after ordering, we did get a call after an hour to say it was on its way but still took another hourAnd when it did arrive food tasted like it had been under a hot lamp for the whole time. Chips were soggy, ribs were dry and the burger although tasted good was dry and the bun it was on very hard like the ones on motorway services that have been left on a hot counter for to hours.

To start the deliverer was very friendly and polite. The food was brilliant for the price, the burgers were bigger than expected and very juicy, the sides were great too. Overall very happy, will definately order again.

Eat here a couple of weeks ago, best chicken I've ever had, so succulent melted in your mouth, my friend had the vegetarian option and thoroughly enjoyed it

Took my parents to this local smokehouse and we were all pleased. The bbq ribs were so tender they fell off the bone. The Louisiana thighs are so good, not too spicy but have a nice kick to them.

Popped in her for quick bite to eat, not expecting to much, but how wrong was I. I had chicken wings and sweet potato fries. The wings were full wings and the ample meat fell off the bone, the flavour was amazing. The fries were also cooked well and not to greasy as sweet potato fries often are.

Ribs were dry, presentation was awful. Chips looked anaemic (but actually tasted better than anything else). Even if it had been 5 times better it would have been overpriced! It smells nice (I pass it every evening) so maybe the in-house food is better, but as for the delivery/takeaway, I think I will pass that too from now on.

Booked a table last week with the family , great choice on the menu , ordered burgers , full rack of ribs , chicken & a few side orders , not long to wait , they were also very busy with online orders /deliveries. Food was delicious & the staff friendly, Also met the owner who was very welcoming , brought our own alcohol as they don’t have a licence , which was fine... wine glasses will be great for our next visit though ( I did mention this to the owner) !! Just picked up a take away , it was just as good . So glad to have somewhere local that serve value for money delicious food . Excellent

Had the sharing platter for 2 between 3 of us, more than enough. Food was very tasty, only the chicken wings were a little dry but otherwise, very impressed. Will return.

Second visit (first was great) this time for takeaway platter for one 70 percent of it in edible over cooked and very dry the sausage was near raw the back of ribs was like cardboardI haven't a problem paying good monie for good food apart from the chicken the rest was over/ RE COOKED crap the bjs beans had been microwaved to the nothin shame as I was looking forward to this and it's local won't b returning anytime soon real shame

We Went to the smokehouse last night after having a takeaway the other week, the menu is perfect something for everyone. I decided on the Jack Daniels ribs, they were very tender and the sauce was outstanding.The food was fresh, and great value for money. I would highly recommend it and will be returning.

Me and my boyfriend visited here this evening (Wednesday 22nd) we ordered the sharing platter and it was huuuuuge!! Food was cooked perfectly and the owner couldn’t make more of a fuss of us - good luck for your new venture; not that you need it! We’ll be back!

Not usually one for reviews unless its either really good or really bad , on this occasion it is certainly a really good, there were 4 of us that eat in, the staff were really friendly, the food of very high quality and the tastiest i have ever had in this style of restaurant, and in my opinion very fairly priced considering high quality. I will definitely be back and have recommended friends and family already.

Party of five – we went to the restaurant on Sunday evening. I realise it is a new set up, but there were some difficulties which led us to decide leaving without eating.

Went to Memphis Smoke House today and purchased a milkshake! Amazing customer service and amazing milkshake! They were so kind and it is clear they are passionate about what they are doing!

Had a takeaway from Memphis Smokehouse last night and I will be coming back. Staff were really pleasant and welcoming, portion sizes were very generous!

Don't normally write reviews but just ordered a take out, fast friendly service and fantastic food will definitely be visiting again soon

Went to Memphis smokehouse on recommendation and had a great meal! Attentive staff, great food - portions are large so good job I’d been on a bike ride!

Being a big American foodie, I was notified about this place by social media. I thought I’d give it a go with a couple friends, when we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the staff who were extremely friendly and pleasant to talk to. I personally ordered the Louisiana flavoured chicken burger with fries and a side of burnt ends (my friends ordered the Jack Daniels ribs and the slow cooked pork belly- they too were highly impressed). The food was served on to the table in a reasonable amount of time. Presented nicely- as expected. The chicken burger was extremely original- unlike any basing I’ve tried before, and exceptionally tasty. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough. I will definitely be back and will be bringing more people!

The food looks lovely and the staff are pleasant. But the ribs were dry and tasteless as though they had been reheated in the microwave. The edges were inedible. When asked how the food was I commented that I was expecting a sticky Jack Daniels sauce. I was informed it was a glaze and that was probably why I couldn’t taste it (what). The meat tasted of just that meat, no seasonings, no spice just over cooked meat. Fries - no comment they’re fries. House coleslaw consisted of large pieces of cabbage onion and mayonnaise. No seasoning. Food served on a wooden chopping block or slate with a piece of paper which rips ... trying too hard to look posh. Little containers like mini fryer chip holders. Get rid of them. What’s the point. Such a shame. Don’t bother dressing up. It’s like a cafe. Tiny uncomfortable chairs and tables that are way too close to each other. No atmosphere and no music ... Rib portions were big enough to feed an army. But who wants to eat a pile of tasteless dry meat ... not me. Such a disappointment
