The worst meal I’ve had in many many years. The food is not cooked fresh. The calamari is from a frozen packet, the nachos are the crumbs from a Doritos pack, the borek is from the frozen isle from TFC a few doors down (I’ve bought the exact ones before), the chilli with the nachos is more like a tasteless bolognese microwave meal for toddlers. The microwave is constantly pinging in the background. To top it off we walked out smelling like we’d put a shift in at a greasy spoon. Cheap food but not cheap prices! This place needs to appear on Gordon Ramsey’s kitchen nightmares. Truly shocking!

I don’t often do reviewers but wow what a find! I took the tapas and the three items were incredible! The slow cooked aubergine was to die for and the croquettes and arrannci lovely. It really felt like freshly cooked homemade food and none of that reheated stuff you get in most places now. I had the red wine with skulls on - can’t remember the name of it but really good value for what tasted like a good quality wine. Will definitely be heading there next time in area! They do parties but shame I don’t live in area otherwise you can tell it would be perfect for it!

Despite a mix of reviews, we had a really nice early evening meal of tapas and good cocktails. The service was attentive and friendly. A couple of niggles; no service spoons were given when our tapas dishes were served so we had to ask for these. Coffee was really good but a pity served in thick rim mugs - as an evening experience a coffee cup preferred. The cocktails were good value for money during happy hour and the Margarita excellent! Nice music and at just the right level so you can still chat without having to shout at each other.

This place must be good! I posted on the local FB group, asking for recommendations for brunch; within 5 minutes there was a list of responses, all recommending the Melting Point Bistro. The charming chef/patron was very welcoming and supremely efficient. We both had superb eggs Benedict - what else for brunch - and these were easily the finest poached eggs I’ve ever been served. It’s obvious that Gokce takes great pride in what she has achieved here, and gives her personal attention to even the smallest detail. If I lived in the area I’d go out of my way to support her. Her bistro has my unhesitating recommendation.

Had a lovely meal at Melting Point Bistro this evening with my parents and my two small children. My father had a meat platter and my mother and I shared five tapas dishes for £30. We had the carrot and walnut salad, calamari, chorizo in red wine and honey, courgette fritters and aubergine with tomato, garlic and onion. All delicious but if I had to pick a favourite, it would be the aubergine dish. We enjoyed our happy hour cocktails too and the staff were friendly and helpful. I’ve been before for coffee but this was my first meal there. We will definitely be returning.

Awful- Waited nearly an hour in an almost empty café ( three staff on) , for scrambled egg on toast and eggs benedict. Egg turned up with hair on plate. Staff need training walking past a table with dirty plates for 20 minutes, punters were walking away. Duty Manager clearly dumb saying 'what do you want me to do' . Here is what GET HAIR OUT OF FOOD- CLEAN TABLES - For other customers GET STAFF WHO CAN MAKE TOAST AND EGG IN UNDER AN HOUR avoid. Lots of good cheaper places around

When I called to book for lunch I was asked if I could give over our choice of food before the day which I did. We still had to wait 50 mins for the food and there was only two of us. Luckily it was a Saturday and we were not in a rush. I had to ask for sugar for coffee and later on given no milk with the tea and then had to keep trying to get their attention for the bill. Having said this, the food was delicious 😋, loved the interior which was very different and extremely comfortable and will say that the two waitresses were friendly.

A disappointing lunch which took over an hour to get & then was inedible. Even the drinks took 40 minutes to arrive & were then wrong. Such a shame!

We have visited the Melting Point a couple of times, usually late afternoon/early evening so haven't had to book. The atmosphere is very friendly and the service is excellent. On both occasions the food has been prepared and cooked on the premises and was very tasty. Would definitely recommend!

GREAT DESSERTS- always get birthday cakes from here. the staff is nice and i have never had a problem with how delicious the cakes were. i love how they sell cake slices to be able to taste the cakes or just as a little treat. the cakes are always moist and stay good for days after buying. the one time i had a problem they resolved it very quick and i was so very happy. the staff is friendly. everything is reasonably priced we have been going for year and will definitely be coming back for as long as they’re open!

I’d been meaning to visit for a while as a colleague had kindly brought me breakfast to work from The Valley Cafe a few times and it had been a real treat. I’m now kicking myself I didn’t visit sooner! A lovely atmosphere, delightful and swift service and a really delicious breakfast baguette and coffee. I highly recommend a sausage, egg & black pudding baguette (there is a choice of fillings) and the produce is excellent quality and value for money. There’s plenty of free parking, too. Looking forward to a lunch visit soon. Thank you to The Valley Cafe.
