Staff were friendly & helpful, the food was excellent; I was impressed.

Went here on a date. The atmosphere was really good, the staff made us feel very welcome. Will definitely go again.

Meltdown is a great place to wind down after a long day at work or studying in university. Would highly recommend if you're nerdy, love video games and reasonably priced cocktails (especially during the times of happy hour!) The staff are all an amazing bunch and get down and nerdy with the customers wether either that's conversing or hosting a multitude of different events. My personal favourite is the beer pong tournaments they host once a month. They have a variety of consoles available with a vast library of games at the venue. They also a plethora of board games readily available for you to choose from. Every time I've been in its never been the same experience ☺ My advice: Come down, meet new people with similar interests and hobbies. Be yourself and let the good times roll... Just remember to pass the controller if you get beat playing Mortal Kombat! 😂

Great quiz every Thursday with an engaging quiz master. Drinks are fairly priced for the extra amenities in the bar (access to games consoles & free quiz). Staff are lovely and friendly, always down for a laugh.

Great staff, fun games, good sized venue. Highly recommend the Nagini Martini and the pub quiz.

Went to Meltdown Sheffield for the first time this weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Hoping to meet more gamers there in future! :)

Been a long time visitor and fan of Meltdown Sheffield. Always been a welcoming environment and fun place to spend my time. Whether it's casual gaming. Attending events such as Hearthstone, Quizzes, themed nights (including lotr!), thsprtyscks, Beer Pong tournaments, etc.They've got a lot to offer and sell incredible cocktails (my current favourite is the Horde Grog). 100% recommend them to anyone for cool place to chill & game.

If you're looking for a bar with video games and drinking this is the perfect spot, has become a regular drinking spot for me, great atmosphere, staff are really welcoming and they've also got gaming themed cocktails!

Amazing place. Great drinks, great games, great staff. There's a really fun quiz on a Tuesday, beer pong tournaments, gigs etc. Honourable mentions include the Chocobo shot (liquid alcoholic oreo), Leeroy Jenkins (a flaming spectacle of a drink) and their never-ending littany of special event cocktails.

Such a nice bar, the staff are extremely friendly, and the events hosted here cater to pretty much everyone. I've been here for This Party Sucks and various quiz nights, even when there isn't anything particular on it's just a chill place to be.

Best bar in Sheffield by a mile, I love coming here. Great atmosphere, great music, great bar staff that are friendly and easy to talk to, regular events often with custom drinks. Their quizzes and tournaments also give out prizes and you can earn free drinks and other things through their reward points scheme. Yes it is more expensive compared to West Street however that is an unfair comparison, not everywhere can be like West Street Live and Sheffield would be a boring city if that were the case. Bring back Final Space!!

Visited for a chiptune night at Meltdown, so not for the typical gaming offering. It actually works surprisingly well as a space for a DJ set. Friendly staff, good atmosphere, would recommend!

Loved it. Amazing cocktails and a very gamer friendly atmosphere. My main issue and reason for only 4 stars is the prices. After the 2 for 1 deal expired after 9pm, it was no longer really worth the price unfortunately but when there's deals on, I'll be there!

If you like playing games with your friends while drinking, this is a place for you. Also, they do great nights with djs and they clear a dance floor so it's worth keeping an eye out for what's on.

Cool place, needs more consoles and the music was too loud, no one was dancing, people were just trying to talk and game

Staff are friendly as can be, plenty of space to accomodate for distancing, cosy atmosphere, plenty of gaming on offer if you want a group activity/something to do with your hands Oh and the cocktails are NAUGHTY

Great ambience. I love being able to watch esports with so many people, and the staff are very friendly.

I take back everything positive I said about this place. Unfortunately the manger is a complete waste of oxygen and treats his staff incredibly poorly. If I were you I would spend your hard earned money at the extra life gaming cafe which is next to ponds forge, Instead of funding meltdown. Its such a shame meltdown has suffered at the hands of abysmal management as Sheffield really needed a place like this.

Love DJing and putting on events here! Staff are great, friendly security and it provides a really important safe space for a number of different communities!

Amazing e-sports bar, free to use computers, play stations and xbox's (as long as you buy a drink). The staff are wonderful and the owner is often seen working there and is a great chap. Can even order takeout to the place to eat inside which you really won't see many places offer; this is especially good if they're holding any tournaments as you can just order some drinks, pizza and enjoy the positive atmosphere. The drinks aren't cheap however with how much they're offering its certainly understandable and they are still affordable so can't complain too much. Sometimes you can go and it'll be pretty dead (not many people inside), this is good or bad depending on what mood you're in and why you're going there.

Very polite staff. Drink prices are great along with a varied selection. Obviously with it being a e-sports bar it's good for gamers, well equipt pcs along with PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Xbox 360 with a selection of casual games to play with friends. Even been told there is a plan to get guitar hero on one of the systems. Regardless, great chill place to go for a drink with a friend group.

Been too this place once or twice since it opened and have loved every visit nice place to relax and meet people with similar interests.

Great selection of games and cocktails

Love this spot, owner and staff are great people. 6 PC setups for playing games an Xbox and PS4 are there too. They have board games you can play as well. All around great place 100% recommend.

Fantastic place, really nice staff and efficient at making the drinks. The desktop set-up is fantastic as is the setup for the modern consoles. However the older consoles (360 etc) have broken pads and not a great selection of big games to play. The quiz is fantastic and a great night out, overall very impressed.
