Shops like this are to be valued. serving fresh bread baked on the premises and some fantastic hot pies. Calling in i had the breakfast sandwich, which was on the freshest breadcake i have ever had. the shop was busy and im not surprised. if you are in the area give it a go much better than a greggs!

The Nicest Breakfast Sandwich I can imagine can be found in a spam egg sandwich from here, but that aside it's unremarkable.

I have autism and anxiety and I don’t remember things that well so when I went in they had no patience for me at all as I phoned my mum outta anxiety to remind me what she wanted , I told the lady that I wanted one with butter and one without and maybe I didn’t tell her in time but her attitude was absolutely disgraceful she was litterally wafting the bread ab and getting frustrated at this point I had other things to get but she made me feel so small I didn’t even end up getting them the patience she had for me was absolutely awful , I litterally wanted to ask for my money back once I tapped my card she said very sarcastically thanks love , it’s your job it takes nothing to be nice and have patience

The sandwiches are well made, especially this one. Lovely staff who are always polite and cheerful. You never feel rushed either, and you always get spoilt for choice with their cakes

Very popular for sandwiches, muffins & pies. The medium meat pie is brilliant. My daughter moved to Mansfield but calls & stocks up whenever she comes this way Great value

I wouldn’t go anywhere else for muffins. The sandwiches are fully packed and excellent quality. The custard tarts are to die for, especially the large ones, and the savoury pies are very moorish!

We working in Stalybridge and have to say that Mellors bakery is the best around, whether that be for breakfast, lunch or take-away muffins and baguettes for home. Prices are reasonable and staff always happy, even when the queue is out of the door. Would recommend the jacket potatoes.

Moved to the area not long ago and discovered this little gem. Staff are very friendly and bread and cakes are delicious.

You are talking about something special here, the shop is full to the door almost from opening to closing, the produce the finest sandwiches ever. But I can go one better and recommend the Custard Tarts they are to die for. Menton Mellors in Stalybridge and it is very rare that any one has never purchased anything from them, and before I finish, just try their muffins, heaven.

Friendly, helpful staff, very efficient service (and it's always been very busy whenever I've been) and a great assortment of fresh cakes and pastries to choose from.
