Megna Indian Restaurant & Takeaway in Selby

lovely curry. I have nut allergy very accommodated.

Booked for 7.30 but came loads earlier. Husband wasn’t even home from work yet.

the food wasn't very hot 😕 the chips were soggy and to be honest the curry was very bland. disappointed.

Delivery arrived late, whilst they sent a notification it was still late by over 30 minutes. Chicken bhuna was very mild, with very little if any spice to it. Chicken tikka kebab had way too many onions inside and very little chicken.

Sent a Saag Aloo rather than a Bombay Aloo, but other than that it was lovely.

The time wasn’t the issue. We ordered a tikka masala and a korma. The korma was nice but the tikka masala wasn’t like any I’d had before. It tasted more spicy curry like a bit like a Bhuna and it had hardly any source in comparison which left the rice and naan bread dry. It also had a different colour to it and had tomato wedges which is unusual. I’m not impressed unfortunately

Spon on meal, lovely staff and great atmosphere, good value for money and will be back again 😀. Can take your own beer for £1 per person charge and they are also licensed which is great.

I have been going to the Megna ever since it opened and I would highly recommend it. Always excellent service, excellent food and is lovely and clean.

fantastic food plenty of it dinner for tomorrow

Food was decent, sadly about 20mins late on an already 1+ hr delivery time. We are 15-20mins away from the restaurant, but was still hoping for a quicker delivery and the food had cooled a little on arrival (I guess there was at least 1 drop before us as after the notification to say the food was on the way it was 35-40 mins before delivery)..

My recent visit to Megna was with my family which included my 2 granddaughters aged 11 and 7 was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance set the tone for a memorable experience. The food was exceptional, with a diverse menu that pleased both the adventurous eaters and those with more subtle tastes. The staff were incredibly accommodating, ensuring that our family dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. My granddaughters thoroughly enjoyed their meals and the looks on their faces said it all. With delicious food, excellent service and welcoming atmosphere, Megna Restaurant easily earn a five-star rating.

we don't enjoy the food and will not order again

Was told 1830 collection. Got a notification from just eat at 1820 to say it was ready to collect whereas in fact it wasn’t ready to collect. Sat waiting until 1900 for it to be actually ready

Was very good and made a nice change.

Had a wonderful family takeaway meal for a family of 4 and all the family enjoyed it and my lamb bhuna and onion bhaji and egg fried rice and chips were gorgeous,portions were large but when something is so good it didnt last that long.Thankyou Megna,from Damon Moffatt.

Had a takeaway delivered on Saturday night, the food was delicious nice and hot, would definitely order it to be delivered again.

We get a takeaway every week from here and always thoroughly enjoy it. My children look forward to having their usual weekly takeaway. Food is always nice and hot, tasty, not greasy at all and always get plenty in the portions. Staff are wonderful, always really polite when we order. Excellent delivery drivers. Highly recommend people try Megna.

I've found more nurishment in a cat litter tray. Like the sweepings up from a grotty floor. Daylight robbery.

I asked for no extra onions in the curries and extra garlic on the naan. They did both - curries perfect. Been ordering from this takeaway for 20+ years and, although I’ve do try others, always come back to this one.

Both curries were absolutely gorgeous! Food was hot and delivered on time!

Ordered meat samosas got well I don’t actually know what they were. As for the main meal it has to be the worst I’ve ever had.

Very tasty food, but had to warm it up as it was barely warm when I received it.

I placed the order through Just Eat in the morning with a delivery time of 1930. I was notified when the order was accepted and when it was on its way. Food was excellent and it arrived on time.

The 3rd time we have ordered and things have been missing!

Good curries, wasn't overly impressed by the parathia. Delivery reduced overall score, it looked like it had been on a roller coaster ride before it got to us. All the ghee oil was all over the paper bag, which fell apart when we removed it from the plastic bag

The item listen on the menu includes vegetable skewers . This wasnt present in my box and I also felt for the price paid there wasnt alot of meat . Won't be ordering again I'm afraid

Take away rang after ordering . Wanted an extra four pound to deliver to my address . On top of what was charged via app. Cash on delivery Then rang when food was due for delivery . Informing me 8t would be another 40 minutes I offered to collect . They said food would be waiting . Another 20 min wait in shop. Food was nice . Service and hidden costs not at all positive experience .

Pre ordered before restaurant opening. Was delivered on time but pretty much all the food was at temperature like its been sat for ages. So had to re heat it all to get it piping hot which isn't what u wanna do when you've ordered a takeaway, spent just under £40 on it!! Apart from the mixed starter which was piping hot. So pretty disappointing.

Food on time, warm and absolutely delicious. No layer of oil on top of the curry like a lot of places and the lamb was actually meaty and not fatty! Never usually order an Indian as we’re always disappointed but we will definitely be ordering from here again

We had a take away , it was a few minutes late but not enough to worry about. The meal arrived piping hot and was delicious. A bit expensive but we are very happy with the quality of the meal and will be ordering again from Megna.

No great flavours and found everything was rather bland and lacked flavour.

My family and I have been ordering from Megna for a while now. Their food and service is always amazing! Tasty food, quick delivery. We have eaten in a couple times before and their service is always so welcoming and friendly. We have never had a bad dish here, I really couldn’t recommend more 😁

Passing through Selby, nothing booked, ended up here. Restaurant was fairly quiet, plenty of room to choose where to sit. Menu was excellent, with plenty of choice, and the price was what I would expect. Food was very good quality, and the portion size was massive, I only just managed to finish the food. Service was very good.

The chicken Pakora was slimy and had obviously been left over from last nights cooking.. it was disgusting I’m afraid.🤢. The main meals were ok though

On time but delayed the time. Great food as usual, Naga Delight Lamb was perfection, tasty as a Madras but yummier. Megna Rice like a baby Biryani great flavour. Chips perfect, Keema nan too. Recommended.

Me and my hubby went on the Sunday when it’s discount day ,very small ,sat near the fish tank ,always enjoyed the curry when we have ordered it has a takeout,that’s why we thought we would try the restaurant,was enjoying the food but then a pair of noisy couples walk in and sat opposite,well that was the end of our nice meal ,I know everyone has a different experience of restaurant but when you are shout talking it puts people off ,only could hear there conversations ,I found it rude,i know it’s not the restaurants fault but it did put me off going back ,I honestly can’t fault the food ,but the restaurant is too Small for anyone to sit apart comfortably and not to listen about the next episode of the walking dead

We order takeaways from here on a regular basis but this time we ate in. The service was great and the food as good as it usually is. Four of us ate here on St Patrick’s day and the bill was only £67 which was great value for money. First time I’ve eaten in the restaurant in years but we’ll worth it. The best Indian in Selby!

Just had our first take away meal for 2 years, bit of a spur of the moment sort of thing. So glad we did, best curry we’ve had for a long time, forgot how lovely the food is from these guys. Best onion bhaji I've ever had! Great selection of vegetarian as long as you don't mind the generic mix of veg that Indian restaurants always seem to use. We collected, the food was ready bang on time and came in a clean grease free box. They are also the first takeaway I have EVER been to where every dish was written clearly on the cartons.

We’ve moved from our other Indian takeaway to Megna. We’ve ordered each week for 4 weeks now and the food is great and consistently good, every meal is as good as the one before. This is unusual with local takeaways. Keep it up Megna!

First time ordering wraps from here and they were very nice, will definitely order again. Also had to ring up to ask about something that wasn't on the menu and it was no bother for them to make me it.

Mushroom pilau rice not nice. Horrible soggy mushrooms. Curry was disappointing.

Tame for a Vindaloo, but had the flavour still..pre lockdown it would have blown me away, I understand that they’re not as keen on spices, but it’s not right.. STEP UP!!.. not even as hot as a pre lockdown madras, still very tasty
