Spon on meal, lovely staff and great atmosphere, good value for money and will be back again 😀. Can take your own beer for £1 per person charge and they are also licensed which is great.

I have been going to the Megna ever since it opened and I would highly recommend it. Always excellent service, excellent food and is lovely and clean.

My recent visit to Megna was with my family which included my 2 granddaughters aged 11 and 7 was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance set the tone for a memorable experience. The food was exceptional, with a diverse menu that pleased both the adventurous eaters and those with more subtle tastes. The staff were incredibly accommodating, ensuring that our family dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. My granddaughters thoroughly enjoyed their meals and the looks on their faces said it all. With delicious food, excellent service and welcoming atmosphere, Megna Restaurant easily earn a five-star rating.

Had a wonderful family takeaway meal for a family of 4 and all the family enjoyed it and my lamb bhuna and onion bhaji and egg fried rice and chips were gorgeous,portions were large but when something is so good it didnt last that long.Thankyou Megna,from Damon Moffatt.

Had a takeaway delivered on Saturday night, the food was delicious nice and hot, would definitely order it to be delivered again.

We get a takeaway every week from here and always thoroughly enjoy it. My children look forward to having their usual weekly takeaway. Food is always nice and hot, tasty, not greasy at all and always get plenty in the portions. Staff are wonderful, always really polite when we order. Excellent delivery drivers. Highly recommend people try Megna.

I've found more nurishment in a cat litter tray. Like the sweepings up from a grotty floor. Daylight robbery.

We called on Sunday evening at 6.00 pre booked to be sure of a table. Once again faultless. Tasty food,spotlessly clean, staff friendly.

My family and I have been ordering from Megna for a while now. Their food and service is always amazing! Tasty food, quick delivery. We have eaten in a couple times before and their service is always so welcoming and friendly. We have never had a bad dish here, I really couldn’t recommend more 😁

Passing through Selby, nothing booked, ended up here. Restaurant was fairly quiet, plenty of room to choose where to sit. Menu was excellent, with plenty of choice, and the price was what I would expect. Food was very good quality, and the portion size was massive, I only just managed to finish the food. Service was very good.

Me and my hubby went on the Sunday when it’s discount day ,very small ,sat near the fish tank ,always enjoyed the curry when we have ordered it has a takeout,that’s why we thought we would try the restaurant,was enjoying the food but then a pair of noisy couples walk in and sat opposite,well that was the end of our nice meal ,I know everyone has a different experience of restaurant but when you are shout talking it puts people off ,only could hear there conversations ,I found it rude,i know it’s not the restaurants fault but it did put me off going back ,I honestly can’t fault the food ,but the restaurant is too Small for anyone to sit apart comfortably and not to listen about the next episode of the walking dead

We order takeaways from here on a regular basis but this time we ate in. The service was great and the food as good as it usually is. Four of us ate here on St Patrick’s day and the bill was only £67 which was great value for money. First time I’ve eaten in the restaurant in years but we’ll worth it. The best Indian in Selby!

Just had our first take away meal for 2 years, bit of a spur of the moment sort of thing. So glad we did, best curry we’ve had for a long time, forgot how lovely the food is from these guys. Delicious, service was efficient and friendly. Will definitely be calling again, ordered on line, great service.

Called this evening with friends. A long overdue meeting due to Covid. A brilliant meal, excellent service too. The place was lovely and clean and well decorated. Will definitely be calling in again

Had another Megna takeaway delivered lastnight to celebrate my daughters birthday.It was delivered right on time it was hot it was fresh it was gorgeous and all the family thoroughly enjoyed it.Thankyou again Megna,from Damon.(1,Pond Street,Selby.)

We ordered via just eat: 2 chicken saags, a chips, a garlic naan and an egg pilau rice. It arrived within 20 minutes and was warm but the food was not satisfactory once we began eating. The saags has no flavour and were completely bland apart from being spicey ... too spicey for my partner to eat. Where was this advertised? I have ordered saags from over 6 different Indian takeaways and never been overwhelmed by spice over flavour. Our pilau was just boiled rice (picture attached) and the chips were anemic at best. Over all it was bland and unappetising yet very expensive. This cost us almost £30 and we were hungry. Will not return and would never recommend.

We visit Megna restaurant with my husband for years. Amazing Indian flavors that cooks prepare allow you to move to the wonderful Corners of Asia. Always nice and polite waiters care about the customer, the atmosphere is amazing.

If you’re looking for a curry in the Selby area you can’t go wrong with the Megna. Great food, great staff and a cracking atmosphere. Consistently very very good.

I lived in Selby for nearly 30 years my self and my husband used this place every week we have now moved back to Castleford but when my husband was a live he used to go back and get us a takeout my friends come over to visit and I ask them to call and collect me a take out they are beaut just wish they would open one here they would never turn back best curry ever keep it up Mr meia ( sorry if iv spelt it wrong) x

Megna is a family run restaurant. The staff are very friendly and will help you if youv'e never eaten there. They will modify any dish. Just a brilliant place to eat, and moderate prices as well.

We had a reservation here for Saturday evening. It was our first visit and we were quite pleased with everything. It was quite early so not really very busy but filled up later. The waiters were quietly spoken and polite and pleasant. The food didn't take long to arrive. You get plenty of pickles with your poppadoms! The three of us all ordered different mains and enjoyed them. I had a karahi which was quite hot and spicy which I like. The portions were of a good size too. The naan and pilau were good too. We took our own wine. The bill was reasonable.We hope to return soon

We are new to the area and ordered a takeaway tonight on Just Eat. The food was pretty expensive and not the best quality. The tikka masala was not creamy at all it was full of vegetables and not what we expected. I had to add some cream to it otherwise it would have been just chopped tomatoes. The rice portion was small too and we didn't get any free popadoms like you do elsewhere. We will not be using them again.

Visited Thursday 10th Oct. New menu . On inspection prices have been raised substantially . 50 to 60p on rices and nan breads up to £1 on curries and starters, £3.50 for keema rice is quite a hike ... upwards of 20% . The food was good my curry was luke warm at best which was disappointing. You can bring your own alcohol but a new system has been put in place from now on. You have to take the empties away with you or pay a "recycling" fee of £5 if you leave them at the restaurant . So your meal may have gone up £3 to £5 and you pay an extra £5 for them to put your empties in the bin .. quite a price hike on what was a reasonable restaurant. ..

Have been ordering regularly from here for over a year and consistently great food and rarely missing any item, one the rare occasion something’s missing it’s either refunded or brought over to us. Food always hot and delicious and keeps us going back. Decent prices too. Keep it up!

Ordered takeaway tonight, the restaurant rang us and said we had to pay extra as we wanted extra garlic (fair enough). When it arrived there was no garlic at all in any of the dishes and the stuffed naan we ordered was a plain naan, my husband rang to complain and the person on the other end just said don't order anymore as we are not going to serve you. Absolutely horrendous customer service, extremely rude and ignorant. Definitely do not want to deal with them anymore.

Absolutely awful - biryani just rice with a bit of meat thrown in, sauce not what I asked for, dahnsak bland, starter burnt! Offered 25% discount next time!!! Ordered over a year ago and the same but thought they may have improved but not. Beware!!

Sunday offer is top quality. The food is very good Pickle tray a bit sparse and lack of ice behind bar but well worth a visit.

Really good food, good service, good value and they even deliver if you want takeaway. We started going here as we had a really poor meal elsewhere and so far we've been impressed each time. The food is fresh, you can taste individual spices and its not at all greasy. Really good.

We went there to eat with friends who were visiting. We were the only ones in there which is not a good sign, but it was early so we decided to stay.

Ordered via justeat and upon arriving was told I owed them an extra £3 even though I paid the £3 delivery charge to Cawood (we're in Kelfield and our village was not an option on their delivery charge). I called up the restaurant to be told that we were charged extra because we live six miles from the restaurant. I said how so when both Cawood and Riccall are charged £3 and we live between them? He said he approved the order as a one off as they don't deliver to Kelfield (and apparently it was my responsibility to call them up to check if they delivered to us), to which I said yes you do deliver to us because we have ordered before (and paid only £3)! I suggested they either make that clear that a charge of £6 applies on their app or just don't approve the order when it's made. I got told that he is the manager and I'm not to tell him where he can or can't deliver (?!?) and that I was disrupting him from accepting other calls onto his phone (?!?) Rude, won't be ordering again.

The food is wonderful, always had good portions. Staff are always happy to help. Would always recommend to friends.

Me and my husband visit here regularly and the food is consistently good. The £10 per person meal deal on a Sunday is a bargain. The owners are friendly and the restaurant nicely decorated, more old style (not a bad thing) rather than ultra modern. Licenced or you can take your own drinks.

As newly relocated residents to Selby this was our first meal as locals, and it was a delight.

We have had take aways and sit down meals in the Megna so many times I cannot even begin to calculate the times since it opened all those years ago.

There are quite a few restaurants to dine at in Selby, some are really good. I'm afraid this establishment does not, nor ever will fall into that category.

Went on the 8th july for a curry at the megna. The FOOD RATING IS 5 STARS NOW. They now do a 3 course buffet for £10. Believe me you will not be dissapointed. Popadom and pickle tray. In the picture I ordered the megna special mixed kebab. Freshly made, may I say. And you could actually taste the food, unlike some other establishments. Then ordered the chicken madras, with a choice of nahn bread or rice in the price. But i paid the extra couple of pounds and got both. But if your with friends or a couple, 1 person gets the rice and 1 person gets a nahn. As there is enough rice to share as well as sharing a nahn between you. Would absolutely recommend this place, as you can bring your own alcohol. They do supply a wide range of beers and lagers and ciders and soft drinks.

Ordered a takeaway for 8 on a Wednesday night. £50+ order plus paid for delivery also.

Love Megna! It's so much better than le raj. Take advantage of the Sunday deal in the restaurant you get so much food for your money. The restaurant itself could do with an update but who cares.

Thursday 15th March I ordered a chicken tikka khari and a chicken Korma. I got it delivered and it came early which was a bonus and the food was piping hot. The khari was amazing and the delivery man was polite. I will be coming back and thankyou magna.

I have been eating currys at Megna for several years and without a doubt they provide great value and awesome quality.

This tasted like a bad indian curry going back 30 years..i ordered chicken tikka massala. The chicken tastes more like liver with its rubbery consistency. The spices were not nice. Will not be going back!

WARNING- Absolutely disgusting service!!!!!! We ordered food via Just Eat, only for them to miss half the order and then say we are not their customer. The owner said "we are a Just Eat customer so to call them"!!!!!! Clearly Just Eat don't make our food!!! We will never step a foot in that door again and will warn any friends or family to never eat in a place that makes a mistake and then shouts at the customer!!!!!! completely wrong!!! One Word - DISGUSTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really enjoyed my meal was the first time I'd ordered from Megan and what can I say food was amazing full of flavour beautiful. Delivery was earlier than time given on my order, delivery man was well mannered and very polite very smartly dresses. Impressed with the service all round will definitely order again.

Eran frescos y Poppadoms cálido a la llegada y la elección de tres pepinillos, incluyendo Lima, que es uno de mis favoritos. Ambos tuvimos la mezcla inicial, que era excelente con una orden lateral de yogur acuñada. Pollo Tika Massala-jeera con Chapatis principal. En las cuatro pintas de cerveza, dos entrantes, dos principales, bandeja con cuatro poppadoms pickle. 20 libras

We chose early evening mid-week and so it was very quiet. A very homely restaurant with very good customer attention. Food was excellent.

Regularmente tienen para llevar desde aquí. La comida es excelente pero en la concurrida noche esperamos casi dos horas para el conductor entrega a llegar y en muchas ocasiones hemos tenido comidas o cenas parte completamente perdió! Varias veces han olvidado el 'o bebidas o naans trajo las comidas mal en conjunto. No te das cuenta hasta después de que el chófer a la izquierda significa que no puede hacer mucho. Habiendo dicho eso, siempre disfrute de la comida y seguiremos orden llevar desde aquí.

We preordered expecting our food to be on time. I ordered tandoori chicken on the bone, it tasted 'home made', not how I would expect it from a restaurant at all. Unfortunately this means we won't be ordering again from here.

Brightly lit, no ambience with staff speaking little English. No spice or big flavour to any dishes and no Indian music.

Ordered my food at 8.05 but didnt arrive til 10. Driver was apologetic. Food was ok, not quite right to my order, but hot and good enough. Not the usual quality from menga, will try again and see if this was just a bad night for them.

Delivered sooner than expected, very tasty too.

The restaurant extended the 45 min delivery time to 1 hour 20 mins, but did not deliver until an hour after that. No apology from the delivery driver for being so late. The quality of the food was very poor, bland with little flavour. The king prawn korma, was just a few medium sized prawns swimming in a pool of gravy - no other ingredients in the curry. This take-away was not at all comparable to other Indian restaurants we've used via Just Eat in the past. We will not be ordering from Mengna again.

Used to use this restaurant a lot, decided to try again and was very disappointed. Very poor quality meat used in a special dish- the meal was also late delivered. Won't be rushing back.

Currys were swimming in grease, Paratha was overdone and stiff like cardboard. Overall not a great experience.

Una amplia selección de menú, merece la pena probar los platos más inusuales, fresco y sabroso. Chapatis Sizzling platos calientes, siempre ligera y sabrosa, platos de cordero son tiernos. La bandeja de pickle es un poco básico, pero siempre abundante y fresca popadums crujientes.

Gran sabor y la opción de llevar su propio alcohol, aunque tienen un bar. Es sido redecoradas y tiene buena pinta. Es un lugar para comer y en ocasiones llevar.

Went here with family had an excellent meal. The food was hot and plentiful excellent value for money. You can take your own alcohol however we didn't as we think it's important to give full support to great places so they can keep going in these tough times financialy. Try it don't think you will be disappointed

Tastiest curry I have had in ages, will be ordering again.

Bottle of coke wasn't delivered despite been charged for, told driver who wasn't interested, no answer when I tried to call to let them know They'll have had the bottle of coke back and wondered why but obviously did not care to find out
