Medici Bar & Restaurant in East Riding of Yorkshire

Really tasty food, but you need to be very hungry! Had the oven-baked meatballs for a starter which were lovely but, to be honest, were more than enough for a main! The Penne Inferno Marinara was another delight, cooked to perfection but again, rather too much of it and have to leave some (which I really don't like doing). Shame Peroni not available on draught anymore, but great to see Liqueurs like Drambuie available. The waiter was rather quiet at first, but he livened up and got more chatty as the evening ensured. So, overall, please keep up the quality but reduce the portion size would be our advice.

Was visiting family in the UK and had a birthday coming up so we decided to go to this restaurant for a celebration meal. We booked for 6pm to suit everyones timings in our group. It's easy to find and has plenty of parking off road. The decor is contemporary and stylish with a nice atmosphere. There's different table sizes to suit couples or larger family groups. The staff were friendly and although the exterior/interior looks upmarket you can easily fit in with casual clothing. The menu is varied to suit everyones tastes, there is a good range of pasta dishes as well as pizzas, plus a mix of meat/seafood options. We opted for entrees (Mixed olives, Mixed Seafood Regina, Mozzarella Caprese) followed by main course (Linguine Vegetariana, Pizza Kiev, BBQ Seabass Fillets and BBQ Chicken Pizza). They have a good wine menu to suit all dishes, we also opted for a couple of bottles of sparkling water. After entree and main courses we decided against a desert as the dishes were very filling, but they looked to have a good selection. Overall the experience was very relaxing and enjoyable, the decor and subtle music in the background was just right for the occasion. The price for six people was what we expected for this level of cuisine and location. We would recommend it to anyone looking for fresh tasty dishes in a nice contemporary environment.

Service quick, Waiter unfriendly, miserable, Fillet Steak small, not cooked to our request, undercooked and expensive at £26.50, chips just like McDonald's, atmosphere not good, overcharge for the wine we ordered, should have been House rose at £19.50, we were charged £28.50, The sweets were good very large proportions at £6.50. Total bill for two came at £118.00 including over charge and Service Charge of £10.77. Would we go back again ?, no never, would we recommend it ? no certainly not. We will go back to New Bar next meal out, this place is excellent, food great, service first class, the place is very clean, great value for money. New Bar here we come.
