This place is not suitable for a day brunch, to chat and be with friends, if you want quality food or decent cocktails. Perhaps this venue wasn’t for me! On entrance you are asked to pay before you have any food or drink which I found crass (I understand why they do this as it turns into a party but it wasn’t for me). The food was of very poor quality. The cocktails are in massive jugs so you all have to drink the same (it’s just a cocktail on mass - mainly cheap fruit juice). The toilets are dirty and poorly maintained (locks broken and no toilet seat). The blokes toilet door was always open and stank! The girls who served us were lovely and very helpful and the music played was fun but so loud that you have to shout over everything or sit there looking at one another until the tables are moved and the party begins. Always nice to experience a different venue but I didn’t have my best time .

Went for bottomless brunch. Food mediocre. Let down bu toilets. They were disgusting. Some lacked seats, no lock on doors, dirty, only one working drier. Food mediocre. Atmosphere good but definitely will not be returning.

Awful customer service! Went with friends for brunch. Asked for cocktails to be made without ice, second jug delivered with ice so we returned it to the bar. Jug was “drained” and not freshly re-made. No alcohol was apparent in the returning jug. When you order a gin cocktail you are going to taste the alcohol but When questioned why we didn’t get a freshly made drink. Answer was “oh we dont do that until the jug is empty”. No apology. When questioned further we are informed that there’s 9 shots of gin in that jug. Excuse me but no there isn’t! we watched it being made along with many other jugs and in all of them 2 shots were the maximum. With that amount of gin in a cocktail the taste of alcohol would be obvious. Especially to a team of gin connoisseurs. When we refused to drink the “juice” provided we were told we weren’t allowed to order any more cocktails and the only drinks we were allowed to order being beer, wine or Prosecco. Members of our party are not able to drink any of those alternatives and the waitress/ manager told us that’s tough and refused to serve a gin & tonic or any other spirit drink as an alternative. Only go here for brunch if you’re happy to Pay £30 for a burger/ pizza and a jug of juice with a lot of ice!

Bottomless brunch. Cocktails very very sweet. If you don’t like a cocktail won’t be replaced. Food was ok a decent portion. I got fed up with the cocktails as so sweet. But couldn’t get another drink because I hadn’t drunk the last one. Toilets smelled. Ladies toilets only 2 toilet seats out of 5. Some staff seemed to be looking down ladies tops. We had a nice afternoon celebrating a friends birthday but wouldn’t return.

Booked for our works Xmas party, what a brilliant place with amazing staff amazing food and cocktails that actually get you wasted lol 😂 had the bottomless brunch 2-4 highly recommend it, worth every penny. Will be booking again next year for definite!

The club was dangerously overcrowded upstairs on Saturday night and the manager kept letting people in. Not great! Safety first. Apart from that the dj was fantastic 👏

Was charged £21.80 for a vodka lemonade and vodka diet coke. Spoke to manager and showed bank statement, he was very rude and unhelpful. Even mentioned that he’d give the barman £100 bonus for “doing his job” despite telling me himself it’s £8.50 each. Standard measurement here is supposedly a double so if you want single make sure to ask for it. Very unprofessional manager!

I revised here today with two friends for a friends brithday. We done the 2pm bottomless brunch. I have been to a few bruches before and by far this has to be the best one we have been too. Our server (bianca) we was serving us. She was always there when we need a drink or running low. I felt safe under the circumstances. Chris, la persona que nos cuidó toda la noche, fue súper encantador, rápido, profesional y muy acogedor. Esta fue mi primera vez en el Medbar, pero debido a Chris definitivamente volveré. Ha pasado un tiempo desde que vi ESTE nivel de servicio al cliente excepcional. En general, las bebidas eran realmente buenas, la comida era muy sabrosa y no tomó mucho tiempo, pero es la actitud del personal y las habilidades de servicio al cliente lo que hizo que la noche fuera tan especial.

The place was filthy. The security guard was extremely rude from the start. Was outside with a friend accompanying him having a cigarette and got told to leave and manhandled for no reason whatsoever, me and my friend push eachother lightly on the shoulder as jokes and the security guard came and said that my body language was “wrong” and that I had to leave. He was shoving me and manhandling me very hard despite me being civil and friendly. I always tip the staff nicely at the bar and always behave well. This is how medbar treat their customers. I’m not going again and neither are all my university friends. You’ve lost a university customers.

Fuimos a una noche de salsa el domingo, pagué 5 tarifas de entrada, pedí una cerveza con mi tarjeta de crédito en la mano, mientras que un camarero comenzó a servir la cerveza, el otro me dijo que el gasto mínimo es de 5. Le dije que solo tenía una tarjeta, así que podría cancelar el pedido en ese momento. El otro camarero no había servido ni la mitad de la cerveza, por lo que dijo que la habían pedido y que tenía que pagarla. No me negué a pagar en ningún momento, solo dije que solo tenía una tarjeta. Ella me habló muy groseramente y salió, así que me fui. ¡Ella llamó a seguridad y me dijo que saliera del bar! En cualquier momento fui grosero, insultado o gritarle a cualquiera, tampoco estaba borracho. Situación realmente vergonzosa cuando mucha gente me conoce por las tardes de salsa. Neve otra vez!

A great relaxed atmosphere to spend with my family. DANIEL was fantastic. And omg the chops were to die for.

I’m very disappointed with the poor level of customer service received from Medbar. I bought a Groupon deal and noted that I needed to call to book. I had trouble getting through and eventually opted to leave a voicemail. The person called back and I made a booking for that evening. Although the Groupon said booking required 24 hours in advance it also said same day appointments accepted so I didn’t envisage any issues especially as my reservation was accepted. When my Mum and I arrived we were looking forward to trying the food and went to the bar and said we had booked for 6.30. The response was I thought you’d booked for tomorrow, you need to book 24 hours in advance, there’s nothing I can do. I was surprised by this response because I’m sure there’s a lot of things that a restaurant could do such as honouring the booking, explaining what the issue was or trying to come to a resolution. I decided promptly that I wasn’t going to raise the error that on their deal it stated that same day appointments were accepted because if that was their level of customer service, I had no interest in staying there any longer. I’d not eaten at Medbar before and had purchased a couple of deals to try them out before potentially using them for future events however without getting the option to try I will be going elsewhere as we did on that very evening. Disappointing and surprising that a restaurant would turn business away.
