Used to be great and good value. Haven't been for some time but an urgent tea required. My son choose a chip buttie at £2.20. Stale role and about 20 chips if that. Very poor value compared to others

This chip shop used to be great, went tonight…very poor. Chips were cold even after what appears to be reheated chips. Only found this out when I got home, tried to ring…nothing.

I regularly buy fish and chips from here and they really are delicious. The fish is succulent, the batter light and crispy and the chips hot and tasty. The mushy peas are a good texture . I thoroughly enjoy the food from MD’s. Service is also efficient and friendly. You should be prepared to wait at times as they cook the food fresh.

Best fish and chip shop in Kettering and one of the best in the country. There can be a line outside especially on Fridays which may put people off but the wait is certainly worth it. That is also a good sign for the ongoing popularity locally. Card and cash payments accepted. Staff are always friendly and courteous. There is a small inside area to wait whilst your order is prepared. Prices are reasonable and whilst they have risen recently with the ongoing cost in living they remain reasonable and competitive. No dedicated parking outside but there is a side road running adjacent for those coming by car. Children's and senior meals offered along with a small selection of drinks.

Best chips I'm Kettering by miles and I've tried them all. Think they cook them in something different.

Nice chips and very quick service! Only suggestion is if you can wrap the chips more as I had to use my handkerchief to wrap around the paper.

Whenever I visit kettering this is the go to place for something to eat. The best chip shop I think I've ever been to

Poor score here due to lack of quality care. The fish was a good size and therefore be of an age that had replaced itself many times so good for that. However, the flesh was overcooked tough and the batter covering was saturated in oil. The chips had a high percentage of markings likely bruises about 25% . What started as a good possible ended as a definite disappointing never again. £21 wasted. This fish bar needs to focus on quality in all details.

I prefer crispy chips and we thought we'd be cheeky and see whether they were able to do this for us, they did not disappoint! The chips were amazing along with the fish, friendly and accommodating staff - will not hesitate to recommend. See you again soon...although I was hiding in the car keeping warm!

I Placed my order today and when I went home the fish was very greasy and un tasty plus the chips was not cooked to the perfection. Very disappointed

Becoming more disappointed with this fish bar as of late. The food appears to be more greasy - the fish on this occasion was soaked in oil, the bag containing the chips had completely disintegrated from excess oil resulting in chips falling over the kitchen counter and floor. Neither my wife nor my child were happy with their meals and could not finish them. My previous visit to the fish bar resulted in missing items, although I did receive a free bag of chips upon returning to collect missing items.

Really good fish and chips, the cod was lightly battered, and really crispy. Chips were nice and curry sauce was hot.

I used this plaice quite often but noticed every time i went in the price had gone up! So use somewhere else now pity cos the food was really good.

Good chip shop and friendly staff , tried all the chip shops in Kettering and this is my favourite, better than any in Bedford too where I also spend time. You can get better in some areas of the country but worth a visit.

Easily the best tasting chips in Kettering, and I have tried them all! Shame the shop itself is extremely small but the chips make up for it. Packed in proper bags too. Can't wait to go back :)

Not being from the area, walked up from Wicksteed park and came across this place. Glad I did. Outstanding Fish and Chips. Not swimming in fat like some chippys.

I don't know what they cook their chips in but they are out of this world!! Best chips I've ever eaten. I always associate them with 'seaside chips'. They have a certain taste that I have not been able to find anywhere else local. Only bad things are that the shop is very small and sometimes have to queue outside. Not the cheapest either but well worth the money.

Had to visit this chippy as the on I started to use across the road was closed due to family illness. So went for my usual Friday fish and chips, what a disappointment chips where dark and very greasy. The haddock was very thin, one piece of cod or haddock over the road can do two people. I was very disappointed as I was told it was good.
