Turned up at 9.55pm as was hungry after long shift at hospital only to be turned away as they were closing early for maintenance. Website says they are open and closing at 11pm. Perhaps they should reflect that, to save my wasted trip.

Useless ordering machines that don't work, no receipt given, wrong meal given; I ordered a double quarter pounder with cheese and received a single quarter pounder with cheese. Staff not interested in putting it right. One guy called Caleb just walked away and then, eventually, the Chinese manager appeared and started to laugh at me for complaining. She did eventually sort out the problem but only after I made it clear I wasn't going away and would cause more trouble for her. Food is to the usual McDonalds standard but customer service is crap.

The experience was very good, I was served by a ginger person who was very helpful and delivered my food fast. The food was good.

Home delivery order incomplete. Called the restaurant to be informed that they will not send the missing item, so next time you visit us you will get it. Thanks a lot so chips and drink for dinner. What a joke.

I’m outraged at Mcdonalds Witney. This morning myself and my partner went for some breakfast. As we were sat down eating, one of the members of staff slipped on the floor whilst taking a customer his coffee, due to the ceiling leaking. The hot coffee went all over him and definitely burnt him yet only members of the public were asking if he was okay !! No staff offered him any support and he was the one who ended up cleaning up all the mess!! I was outraged with the response of the team and I felt so awful for this employee as this could have been prevented if action was put in place with regards to the ceiling before opening the restaurant! It wasn’t until he slipped and hurt/burnt himself that a bucket was placed under the leaking ceiling to prevent the floor from getting wet. I really hope he’s okay.

Asked for breakfast burger with latte and an orange juice, only charged for and provided burger and orange juice no latte. I pointed out the error on collection but was told next time to check the order on the screen when paying, next time doesn't resolve this time you idiots. Drive through was then closed so I couldn't drive back round to correct my order.

This place is the worst on the planet , go to the drive through , every single time, “wait in the carpark” that’s already full of Uber drivers and people errrrrr ‘waiting in the carpark’ , takes 20-30 minutes to get a drive through which is pathetic , then when it comes , cokes half full, no ice a lot of the time, burgers chucked together and the last three visits , fries ordered medium 3 of em ….half full half cooked , cold and no salt , at the speaker … medium double quarter pounder w cheese meal and Coke Zero please….. every frikin time! “That large or medium”? “What drink do you want”? Errrr I just told you , only go there as the kids want it but every trip is pathetic …. Was once given food and told to go to carpark to wait for drinks !!.! Frikin drinks!! Needless to say refused and waited for them to pour them , kfc please come to Witney and put this lot out of business

Tiniest little burger advertised as the mcspicy - not worth £7 at all! More like the size of. £1 chicken mayo. Everyone going through the drive though had to park in park and wait for food to be delivered.

Waited for half an hour to be told that the on line service was not working again .This is happening all the time and sorry does not cut it .we need another fast food outlet in Witney then it will have to improve the services or go under . I given one as you can’t give zero

Now sat for 30 mins after ordering food and still nothing has turned up. The staff are a joke. Short staffed isn't an excuse. Manage your staff. Employ more. Do whatever you ned but the worst McDonald's around. Go elsewhere isnky advice.

Ordered online. Took 2 hours to come. Food finally arrived to find we were missing two twix McFlurrys. Rang McDonald’s, they were useless as per. Was told we had to get refund through Deliveroo and when we ask if can get the mcflurrys instead of a refund, he said said we couldn’t. We then go to eat the rest our food, our chips were cold and hard with no salt what so ever. Burgers were cold, asked for extra toppings on the burgers didn’t get that. The burger was just all over the place when I opened the box. The spicy nuggets were hard and cold, As was the mozzarella sticks. The food clearly has been sat waiting there for ages. Nicest thing about the whole meal was probably the Diet Coke. Awful service, awful delivery, awful food. If I could rate this 0, I would. Witney McDonald’s never seem to get an order right. Always forgetting something. I suppose it’s my fault for going back. Sort your staff out McDonald’s, it’s not hard to read a receipt and copy it. Worst McDonald’s I’ve been too.

This is probably the worst MDs been too. The last 2 times they didn’t have what I wanted. Today I ordered via drive thru filet O fish meal (no tartare sauce & grubby mitts on the packaging) and the mozzarella dippers I ordered came with no sauce. Right scabby meal. Seriously if you are the manager it’s a training or an aptitude issue!

Went back after extremely bad experience of waiting 45 minutes and total chaos. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought may have just been a one off bad night. Unfortunately I was wrong returned and ordered in the restaurant for a takeaway and waited 20 minutes for 2 burgers, staff really looked uninterested and where not polite or friendly. It is totally obvious why they can't cope that is because of all the deliveries for dilveroo and just eat orders, if they spent the same amount of attention on there customers in the restaurant they might not get so many complaints. They will probably say they can cope with both but let me assure you they can't. Remember you aremeant to be a fast food establishment lol.

I ordered from home and when it showed up they fort it would be funny to put to drinks in instead of my actual order. I am fuming then the lady on the phone said I cant do nothing about it and laughed down the phone appalling behavior. Now im left with to drinks . All I wanted was what I payed for witch was my food. I think the Witney staff need re training. I was told to ring up as I couldn't get a refund or credit so to ring and get a replacement.

Used the Mcdonalds delivery option which use UBER Eats. Twice now they have let us down. The first time, the driver was doing a multiple drop and our must have been last as the food was stone cold. Ended up throwing it away as it was inedible. This time, ordered the food and after an hour and a half wait, the app then informs us that there has been a problem and they are trying to find another driver. Phoned the help line which offered no help at all and bordered on the rude. Refund was begrudgingly given with the caveat of anything between 5 and 15 days for a refund! This certainly the last time I will be ahving anythign to do with Mcdonalds or UBER eats!

When we walked into the McDonald's in Witney, thinking it was just going to be a normal romp, we were greeted by an absolutely magnificent worker called Darren. Darren was not like any other worker, who did their job just to collect a paycheque. No, Darren was different. He was quick with a smile, and interacted with all the customers as if he had known them for years. I have to admit, Darren was the absolute highlight of visiting the McDonald's here in Witney. I encourage everybody to come from far and wide just to catch a glimpse of Brilliant Darren cleaning the tables or serving customers. I will not say much else as it will spoil it for others but lets just say, Darren is a legend. Ask him for a fistbump. Buy him a brownie. Strike up a conversation. He deservers it, and in my opinion, Darren by far is the greastest staff member to ever grace the McDonalds Franchise.

Went in for lunch and to feed my 9 month old and we were immediately helped by a young guy taking a high chair to a table out of the way. Think his name was either Kieron or Matt. Placed our order and when it was delivered we were offered sauces etc. Then when we went to leave the young guy working there took my tray while I carried my baby. Really impressed by the customer service!

Just who is training the staff? Girl taking orders on the drive thru is possibly the rudest girl ever! Just said yep after everything I asked for, no welcome , no manners! As frequent mc Ds fast food users dropped into Witneys mcD, only wanted a hot chocolate, what we got was something beyond that, it had the smell of chocolate, but so does my feet at times(Joke). It must have had chocolate in it because they said it did , I'v never had chocolate with water actually floating on top in one of the cups the other had something I know not what. The staff were just mucking around foolishly one cup with water on top had far more in it than the other did we wondered WHY? We through it all away disgustedly and was to far away to go back, will NOT returnagain.Machine fault? No human error. JD

I usually use the drive through and have always found the staff to be friendly, polite, and helpful. The food is as expected and they have improved their coffee immensely.

This review is from Japan. Around 8:30p.m On Aug 8 we're driving to Burford from LHR, but accidentaly A4 was blocked for road construction. I had no idea how can I get to Burford. At that time I've found the McDonald's at Witney in front of my car, and I 've asked to one of the man staff about another way to go Burford. He was very kind for writing a map for me instead of very busy time.. Thanks to him I could get to Burford. I'm relief so much, I couldn't forget her kindness. Thank you thank you so much. Cheese burger was so tasty, too.

We’ve just returned from holiday and my partner suggested we get a quick bite to eat from Mac Donald’s in Witney (about 7pm using the drive through). I’m vegetarian so he ordered me a vegetable deluxe meal. I took a few bites from my burger and was horrified when I realised that I’d been given chicken and spat out as much as I could!! It had been put in a vegetable deluxe box!! I’ve not eaten meat for 26 years and feel very upset that this has happened! Basically sick to my stomach! I had a quick search on google and it appears this isn’t the first time it’s happened! I don’t think you should provide a vegetarian option if you’re unable to stop this sort of thing happening! My partner took the burger back to the branch and was told that the process is done by 2 different people and there must have been a breakdown in communication! This clearly needs reviewing. I won’t be eating at macdonald’s ever again and will do my best to make sure other vegetarians are aware of the risk they take when they bite into one of your so called vegetable deluxe burgers! An apology and refund just doesn’t make up for the upset it’s caused. It shouldn’t be taken so lightly.

Luke warm fries and big Mac even though it was busy at 5pm. Almost inedible. Cheese burger was found to have had ketchup put in it which was not asked for. It may be cheap but if this had been to eat in, rather than taken away, it would have been sent back.

Breakfasts are about the only thing I will eat from here, disappointed when they miss part of your order after using the drive through, your often to far away to turn back when you realise.

Let’s face it you don’t go expecting much it is what it is but not actually be able to produce any burgers of any form is less than useless. What other reason would you go there for. Experience tells me the management of this place is useless there have been other problems in the past. This will probably not stop people using but moaning makes me feel better. I only wanted 5 happy meals and did not get anything I asked for.

My husband went thought the drive through on the way home from work and on getting home all we had in the bag was some chicken nuggets and chips. We ordered food totalling £15 so clearly they gave us the wrong order.

Living a stones throw away but not having visited for years now my children have grown up I found myself and family having lunch today. Blown away about the cleanliness and the choices, not to mention the touch screens but when our food arrived it was delicious- yes I’m talking McDonald’s

Have eaten here many many times. Tonight not busy yet tables dirty, no napkins, and the station area where you get sauses looks like it was part of an attack in Syria!! Disgraceful that this establishment expects people to pay money to eat here.

Pero me decepcionó cuando tenía. La orden podría estar equivocado, sería frío o simplemente no es agradable al gusto.

I personally think and ponder why I visited in the first place But I did so my honest opinion is that McDonald's food is a waste of calories I ordered the chicken nuggets happy meal and got Luke warm fries and cold nuggets i was quite dissapointed. However I was still appreciative and did not complain as people are doing there job well and I was very thankful when ordering.

Let me start of and say this place is a good place to grab a quick snack on the way home from work or your spending time with friends, but it's extremely unhealthy as they put a lot of salt on the fries! You can also see the back where they make it and where they mix up orders! I know it's their job but they can use a bit more common sense when it comes to making orders. Overall I think its not a place to spend everyday but a good one of!

I used to love this chain of McDonalds. The staff were already exceptionally friendly, the order was fast and always on the button, even a large order, never incorrect. Then they re-vamped. It's a real shame, I can't go back here now as the staff were stressed and rude to customers openly and blatantly. The food was cold when I ordered mine. The screens confused everyone and didn't function very well. Only one member of staff was serving with a cue hanging out the door. The food prep was awful and confusing on the 2 occasions I went in, food orders were all mixed together and the staff were picking their way through to find the correct items. Bring back the old cheese burger, normal burger, Big Mac etc rows you used to have. It may pick back up as the staff of old were so good, recent comments from colleagues and friends are that it hasn't yet.

Tried the new drive through, two lanes instead of one now. Just means it is twice as slow. Food was luke warm, borderline cold. Fast food it is not. Do not use it often, quicker to buy food and cook it yourself

We don't go to macdonalds very often so took the kids for a change, was really busy and had to que out the door, staff apologised to everyone took their orders offered to bring their food over to them, happy and smiling staff. As Mackies goes the food there was prob the nicest macdonalds ever had. I just feel so sorry for the staff that work there and all the abuse they get from people eating there, I think they forget that it's their job and they are someone's child or partner or parents, it's honestly disgusting, why can't people just use manners and say thank you, the staff were all lovely but they was surround some of the rudest moaning customers be ever seen, keep up the good work

Having arrived at MacDonalds, Witney, today, my children were unable to use the toilet facilities. Apart from the discomfort that this presented, more importantly, there was a hygiene concern for all customers in so much as there was no hand cleansing facility available. A member of staff said that it was because of a drainage issue. One wonders how the staff managed.Despite the fact there seemed to be a management meeting/huddle taking place, the service received was dreadful. I was neither offered or given milk for my tea until I asked for it. Despite having asked for dips with the two chicken select meals none was provided until asked for. My daughter ordered a burger without gerkin/dill pickle. Because it was a special order, the server said he would bring it over. Once the remainder of the family were half way through eating the meal, the same server came over to ask if we had everything and was reminded about the burger. Once the meal was almost finished the burger arrived.The issues described were discussed with the on duty hospitality manager, who despite being understanding, was unable to address or rectify the problems. Whilst she explained that there was staff training taking place, thus should not be to the detriment of the customers.Today was not a good advertisement for the MacDonalds brand, all the more so given the number of managerial staff present.

I find this McDonalds to be one of the worse we have every been to. Every time we go something has run out or is out of order. For example the milkshake machine is regularly out of action, one time the fizzy drink machine was out of action. I did the drive through once and was giving all the wrong food and had to return! And this Saturday we walked down for breakfast only to be told at 9.45 that they had no pancakes left!!! We will not be returning to this McDonalds again!

Lengthy queues, asked for an apple pie hadn't got any, spicey veggie burger horrible and dry, I think they have changed the buns they are not nice at all

Due to the long queue for the drive thru, we decided to park in the small car park and eat inside.It was good to see someone mopping the floors which were sparkling and clean, how ever the same cannot be said for the table tops. While the food and wrappers had been cleared away, the tables had not been wiped down. In the end we had to pick the cleanest we could find.They have yet to have the order point make over that seems to be rolling out, so food is ordered as normal at the tills. Once ordered the time to get the food was very slow, at one point the server disappeared for a couple of minutes without explanation.Also we ordered a chicken legend with bacon, but midway though eating it discovered it had no bacon in it. We could not be bothered to queue again to get this rectified as we were in a hurry - the main reason for choosing fast food.The prices seem to be creeping up as well. For two adults and two children it is now approaching the cost of a meal at a budget pub chain such as Wetherspoons.Don't bother buying MacDonalds doughnuts as there is a Lidl next door with some excellent cakes and doughnuts available.

always clean and staff welcoming, food is standard as you would expect, can get very busy and car park is often untidy. pretty consistent , its a McDonalds nothing more nothing less.

I used the drive-thru to order the new BBQ Smokehouse meal yesterday. The bun was rock hard, the burger burnt, the bacon undercooked and the fries luke warm. I did not go back to complain as this restaurant always rejects complaints.

Okay, so due to works going on in my house I have nipped to this McDonalds on a number of occasions. It seems to me that it makes no difference whether it is packed or empty, the wait is always endless. I am not exaggerating when I say that in the last four drive through visits I have had to sit in the car park waiting for my food to be brought out, and then after that, its ALWAYS cold, how does that happen?. I refuse to eat the stuff but my kids do otherwise I wouldn't go there. Also, how come the milk shake machine is hardly ever working? I have been to some pretty good McDonalds, mainly much busier ones in London, how can they be soooo slow and unprepared for customers in an Oxfordshire market town? It isn't even in the town centre.!!

liked the idea of fast food, didnt like the idea of not being fast and when i got it it was cold stopped off before i went to the b&b i had booked as the kitchen wasnt open ok it was only £7 but i expect it to be hot

All too often, when going through the drive through, you will be asked to wait in the car park for your order even for staples like cheeseburgers or Big Macs. Service generally very slow, so unless you have time to waste don't bother going there.

Standard McDonalds. Staff uninterested however food tastes the same as the other side of the world..if slightly colder sometimes.

Did what it said on the tin. It's a McDonalds and I didn't expect anything more or less. Perfectly fine!

The food is Mcdonalds so much of a muchness. So this review is solely about the service. The service is and has always been shocking, whether its the drive through (which should just be called the park up!!) or in the restaurant. If you're in a rush to grab a bite to eat, this may not be the place to go.

It's like every other McDonald's you have ever been to or will ever go to. Reassuringly predictable and nearly always open. Staff are always helpful and even appear genuinely happy :D . Staff will often approach your table to offer children a balloon or more recently a Lego character mask. Happy meal toys always excellent, but please, no salt on child's happy meal fries. Fruit bag an excellent alternative.

Good service good wifi next to lidl and Esso Garage with Tescos. food same as normal clean and tidy.
