Went to drive through had to repeat order three time when got to the pay window they have my order paid for it got to pick up window told us to go to car park the order was simple nowhere to park in car park after minutes went to enquire the whole place was a disaster area

Went today with the grandkids for lunch as a treat. Only one ordering machine working, and only one person taking orders. Once order came through, the plain chicken sandwich we'd ordered, and was labelled as such, had all the trimmings in. Had to wait ages for someone to take notice of me, even though I shouted through to a member of staff the other side of the counter. Obviously was not his job! The poor lady at the counter was inundated, but helped me get what I'd ordered. I also didn't receive the dips I ordered and milk for the tea. I just can't believe that they wouldn't automatically put milk sachets in with the tea. So in all I had to go to the counter three times, at the same time as keeping an eye on my grand kids. Very poor service. There should have been at least 2 people on the service counter, and customers shouldn't be ignored. Not very 'fast food' in my mind.

took me 35 mins for them to cook a big mac. i `click and collected it from home went there and it took 35 mins. wouldve prefered for my big mac to not be burnt aswell. it came out looking like a chocolae bar.

Ordered on through Just Eats, food arrived within a reasonable time but when opened and checked it was someone else’s order. Wrong order given to driver or driver gave us wrong order. Tried to phone macdonalds but constantly engaged. Drove to restaurant to sort out order…….foolishly thought it was correct until I got home. Wrong burger, chips not cooked and bite taken out if one of the chicken selects!!! I had so many mistakes in recent months it just not worth the money, time and stress!

I AM FUMING i ordered my food and the man came 45 mins later with my food missing it’s coke, happy meal and chips. i got an empty happy meal box with my burger in there not wrapped just in there i told the delivery driver and he said he would get me a whole new order. He never came so in anger i drove up there and i ended up getting only 4 chicken nuggets not all my other food, that’s my money down the drain.

Will not be keen on coming back to this establishment unless customer care improves in the future. I politely asked if I could order, then the man servers somebody else and did not even take my order! Kept waiting for another few minutes.

It was 11.30pm, and although the restaurant is open until 2am, McDonald’s staff were only letting their male friends in. I tried to enter and I was informed I (and other female customers) that we needed to leave. Having a lovely dominos down the road now.

Place is a tip dirty poor staffing cold food terrible place & food. Tesco bins have better food. Absolutely disgraceful needs senior management to sort it or shut it down

Restaurant is nice updated and clean, but the food is terrible, if I wanted cold food I would have ordered a salad, why is the food never hot and never correct. Always something missing. Its an on going issue of giving chips that have been sat on the side and burgers too. They should be made to order that's what your customers pay for. How hard is it to get the order correct!!!!

If you like really bad food , I mean really bad, served to you by belligerent , miserable , rude staff, and enjoy waiting a ridiculous amount of time, in a shambolic, disorganised unpleasant environment, then this is the place for you. To everybody else out there, life is too short to waste time here. AVOID THIS PLACE and DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED CASH HERE, they won't notice and probably don't even care.

If I could give it 0 I would. Ordered a vanilla milkshake, came with chocolate milkshake in the bottom and vanilla on the top. As my daughter hates chocolate milkshake that’s not ideal, and forgot a straw. Forgot dips, which is awful as I really struggle with dry food but to be expected. Ordered a cheese burger without the meat Patty, I understand it’s a weird request but just do it. Gave us a cheese burger with cheese and no sauce or onion etc. so if we took the meat out would be left with bread as the cheese is melted on the meat. Overall vile and the food they did get right wasn’t even good. Don’t waste your time and money, I’m sat in bed writing this sadly now

Title explains it all really only it has happened twice this evening both with my order and my friends order, at different times.

The food was cold they don’t wear hair nets and they wonder why people complain when there’s hair in there food they don’t wear gloves.when they do the food not very happy with my visit

I don’t normally write reviews but I definitely need to on this occasion. I’ve never seen such chaos at a McDonald’s. The order and collection area is too small. Staff don’t listen to customers. If you complain they look at you like you are from another planet. You have teenagers riding bicycles, doing wheelies near the drive throw. The environment is not suitable for families. Basically it’s a shambles with nobody in control of the site. Very unpleasant experience.

Kelly the staff manger was saying we couldn’t sit with our friends due to covid when they was 6 on the other table. She was so rude and made my friends little sister move. McDonald’s borehamwood

This is by far the worst McDonald’s in the Uk. Doesn’t get orders right. Staff and managers are rude. A manager refused to serve me in the drive thru as he wouldn’t take my 1.99 survey receipts. A customer queuing behind got out of his car and told the manager to calm down as he was being aggressive. The manager is called Mohammed and really he isn’t equipped to deal with customers. I had to drive to London Colney. Which provided a completely improved service. McDonald’s customer service has responded to by complaint stating they will send by feedback to the store. Wow. They then sent me a further survey to ask how they handled my issue. Still haven’t had a response.

I ordered 9 nuggets I got charged for 9 nuggets I was expecting 9 nuggets I was betrayed... I got 6 nuggets I have an empty stomach where nuggets???? :((((((

There were two missing items on my order so I called the restaurant, explained the problem, they said they would check and they hung up on me! Tried to call again several times and the user was busy. They probably left the phone out of service for some time. Very disappointed

We stopped in Borehamwood only to see Elstree studios and so were delighted to see a MacDonalds just opposite with ample parking. We grabbed two quick coffees to justify the temporary use of their car park but didn't sample the food. The diner was extremely clean (as were the toilets) and the measure they had in place for social distancing, and general sanitising were impressive. The car park was more than adequate and there was also a drive through at the rear of the restaurant. We're not generally McDonalds fans but the organisation and cleanliness of this diner left us impressed.

It's a McDonald establishment in a lovely building. You can get McDonald food there. There's a car park. There's a drive through. It's near Elstree studios and a big Tesco.

The manager of this McDonald's is the rudest man I have ever met he clearly has no people skills. I took my grandchildren for a treat that turned into a not nice experience as I drove in there was no parking spaces so I drove through the drive thru at the time there were post that stuck out since been changed. Many cars have been damaged by the post and mine was one of them. I was so upset I ask to speak to the manager he was so rude and had no empathy at all he said well they are there for a reason. Clearly the post were wrong situated because they have been removed. All I wanted was the number were to complain to but was greeted with this rude man. He really needs more training.

They was appalling I had a delivery and 3items were missing I called them to get a rude rude rude manager who put the phone down on me

Took my order, paid £20 then didn’t give me the food as told me they had closed and also couldn’t give me a refund for the same reason. Then gave me out of date vouchers to use at the Harrow branch. Basically McDonald’s Borehamwood, you’ve stolen £20 you incompetent idiots.

Visiting this McDonald’s whilst attending a event at the BBC Studios nearby. The place was busy at the time however table service was a bit quicker than expected. The children’s area was closed by having seats blocking the way however people moved them to sit down and still got table service there. They could benefit with having more seats however good location and average McDonald’s quality food. Recommend for cheap bite.

Visit following my fathers funeral. Absolutely disgraceful. Picked my brother up from station, to discuss my 90 year old mother’s future. Fined for apparently overstaying in car park. Despite having receipts for purchases and writing to Macdonalds head office, & Franchisee and parking co, fine of £50 stuck. Will never enter, or buy a Macdonalds again. Low life. Low low life, scum sucking bottom dwellers.

I decided to go for a veggie deluxe on my way home from Borehamwood, I paid for a veggie deluxe, my bill said veggie deluxe , the box said veggie deluxe. As I was going through the drive through my plan was to eat it on my way home. As a vegan, imagine my horror to bite into it while on my way home to find it was a chicken burger. Never eating there again

Visited on a busy Sunday afternoon, where lots of families placing large orders but service seemed more efficient than on previous visits. I placed my order at the counter - food & hot drink appeared within about three minutes properly cooked and hot. Restaurant was clean and tidy. Staff were helpful including helping customers dispose of their rubbish to speed things up.

Ordered a plain cheeseburger received it with everything on it. Bought a sour cream sauce, never received it. Even if it cost just £1, don't waste it here people! I understand sometimes they have a bad day but this is constantly happening in this shop.

Myself and a friend went to this restaurant last night after watching a show at Elstree studios. We placed our order of a double cheeseburger with bacon and a chicken legend meal and patiently waited. And waited and waited!! We watched order after order that had been put in after ours being called and sent out!I asked about our order and was told it would be a couple of minutes. Finally after 30 minutes of waiting we received our order. We settled down to eat at a table. My friends chicken legend was piping hot yet my burger was stone cold! I took it back to complain and again had to wait to even be acknowledged. A new burger was made and off I went to enjoy it. But no again it was cold!! The bacon wasn’t even slightly warm. I took it back and stood waiting. No one would even acknowledge me. Eventually the shift manager came over and I told him how unhappy I was having waited 30 minutes for a simple order and then having two cold burgers. He gave a brief sorry and said he’d make another one to which I said to be honest I’d rather have my money back to which he just turned away and walked off!! He returned with another burger. Thankfully this one was hot but having waited so long for it my fries were now cold so I asked if I could get some fresh ones. Apparently they didn’t have any so I would have to wait!!!Ok the restaurant was fairly busy when we got there but there was quite a few staff on and I have been here before when it’s been like that and never had a problem. In the time I was there I saw several people complain about there food. As we were leaving two young girls were heading in only to be told they were closed as they shut at 11 pm. It wasn’t until we were heading away that she realised it was only 10:30!!My son works as a shift manager for McDonald’s and when I told him about it he was dumbstruck by the way we were treated. Won’t be going back here again.

after a bed experience with the app we decided to visit the restaurant and have a meal in there restaurant we had a good service and the meal was good

Used the McDonalds app to pre order, went in to collect and waited for quite a while.Even when my order number said ready on the screen I waited about 10 mins for the order.The staff showed no interest at all and I had to ask for my order, which was sitting on the side.When I got to my destination (less than 5 mins away), the burger was dry as if it had been sitting there for ages and the chips were cold.This is the worst McDonalds I have been to and wouldn't recommend going here.I emailed customer services and they showed little interest, only advising that they had spoken to the store to advise them of my findings, not even an offer of a replacement meal !If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Using the New McDonalds App to order food to be collected. On arrival my order seem to take a while to get organised as it was a large order, looked chaotic. Once home in a 4 minute drive found the food to be just "warm", very disappointing after spending some £26+. Complained to Customer Service the next day as just got home from work hence the online order, who referred me to go back to the Restaurant and see what compensation or refund I may get! As I spoke to this assistant manager who simply dismissed the fact that when you take the food out it will get cold! He simply was not interested in my complaint. I recommend through my experience here NOT to order food to be collected and when you are eating in the Restaurant, check you food is hot as this restaurant in our experience has a history of serving food that has been under the heater for some time

Ordering on the screens is a nightmare, queue was horrendous and the numpty ordering ended up deleting his order at the payment stage infuriating people in the queue! Walked out.

Very impressed. First time I have been offered table service- number on a post given when ordering. Within minutes food had arrived to our table with a smile from our server. Liked the fact there was a table of tablets with McDonalds games on to keep children amused as well as a soft play area. Added bonus of phone chargers available on the table and an option to purchase additional items by card from a stand near the seating. Will definitely recommend to anyone going to that area !

The food is fine, some of the staff are friendly but it's the majority of the people who visit here that are the issue. It's like watching the animal planet, yobs everywhere, bits of kids hanging off of people.

when I arrived the people where queueing outside with teenage girls then I realised it was an eviction night for the big brother, I did get served after a 25-minute wait but it was worth the wait to see my niece and nephews faces

constantly cold food, staff don't look happy at all I mean ever. They don't take vouchers with their address on it "sometimes" Store basically does what it likes. Fed up of it.

I eat Macdonalds approximatl 6 times a year, and this is the worst onein the chain. Food is consistently cold.

Staff were friendly and nice ( I know right ) and the store was very clean and quiet. The reason became apparent when I noticed that staff have 'closed' the kids playground area .....

Working in the area this month got mcDs 3 times all 3 times gave me the wrong burgers that I ordered I think management need to take a look once ok far enough we all make mistakes twice hmmmm three times PROBLEMS

Don't do it. 11pm at night waited 10 minutes by the window. 2 cheese burgers stone cold. Take them in only to be told that's what they should be as by the time they are made and put on the shelf and picked and put in the bag.... What did I expect and that was from the manager Mr Mohamed!

On 2 occasions now in the past month or so at around 6.30 am on my way to work. Drive through has been closed. Not sure why no signs or information just cones blocking the entrance. For a service which is meant to be 24 hours I am not impressed with this! I don't have time in the morning to stop and only really go there if I really need a coffee just to be disappointed!

For a big town the McDonald's could do with the equipment for the signature meals. Ice cream machine never works.

Thought we would treat ourselves bad idea the drive through got the wrong order so had to sort that out got back home and found cold uneatable burgers shakes that were unflavoured and smelled of chemicals the only thing we could drink was the tea so 25.00 for a tea was a very expensive treat will not use McDonald’s again

We'd been travelling for a long time and came across this (McDonald's which you could easily miss). It was your usual fast food restaurant serving cheap food. Clean, good parking and free Wi-Fi.

Just the drive thru, make the order, pay for the order, hope its the right order.. it is the right order.. joyful celebrations! Standard visit, nothing exciting, nothing to complain about!

Have used the drive thru here many times and always had to wait and park up for my breakfast to be brought out to me

A trip around the 'Drive Thru' at a McDonalds is a lot quicker than actually going inside the restaurant itself but you are still greeted with the lack of enthusiasm for actually living!Big Tastys ordered and handed over like a dodgy deal involving a brown envelope!The chops were hot!  Since when did we actually start getting hot chips and not just warm??  Incredible!From the two milk shakes ordered, one was wrong, the order was repeated back to us so it went wrong somewhere behind the scenes!The Big Tasty itself was decent enough, salad falling out as usual, filling a bun is a difficult thing it would seem!Will no doubt be back at some point, it's the convenience that makes you go back!

We all know McDonalds. Cheap, mass-produced food for the masses. This particular "restaurant" (I use the word carefully as I've never had to clear my own plate or pay for food before eating in any other establishment) is awful. The staff are seemingly not with-it, the food is, 80% of the time, stone cold & my orders have all (yes, ALL) been incorrect. I would NOT recommend this to anyone. At all. Do not go here! Poor, poor, poor, I will not visit again.

Same as any other in the UK. Prepacked mass produced food they all are contractually obliged to buy their food from Mcdonalds official supplier .

The slowest and worst service I've ever encountered. The lad taking orders for the drive thru was the slowest and rudest employee ever. 20 minutes waiting behind 1 other car, he then served the car that arrived 10 minutes after me before serving me and shouted at me when i honked my horn.. then to add further insult, half of my order was missing when i finally was given it, forcing me to park and go in to the restaurant . I complained to the manager, who didnt seem to care. AVOID THIS POOR EXCUSE OF A RESTAURANT

All these places are of course the same. Clean, easy , fills the gap . Got to say the coffee is above average. Other than that if you are the only person in the world who hasn't been to McDonalds you need to try it at least once in your life !

Best advice - avoid!!!Full of kids (hood rats) running around causing trouble intimidating people.The manager taking our order kept ignoring everything we said and kept asking us to repeat ourselves.It was a complete shambles!!!

typical mcdonalds. wish I had ordered in the drive through. 2 staff on drive through and 2 for the restaurent which was completely insufficient. staff were fine but under pressure . coffee macine was broken down which did not help. wouldnt bother again at this one.

So, mcdonalds has nice food and drinks and inside the decor is quite modern and also their is a little soft play in there for children and another section for children to play via a projector on the floor, so it is good in that way. The thing is that drive-thru wise not to rarely we ask for something and there smoothie machine isn't working which is not great but at the end of the day the foods nice, most of the time they have what you want so if your on a road trip or something and your hungry then its a good place to stop of if you want a quick, cheap, meal.

Visited last night to grab a bite whilst queuing to visit the studios . Food was standard Mc Donald fayre . Shame we didn't check the large order before leaving as items ordered had not been put into the bag . Couldn't return as we had joined the queue and didn't want to loose our place

Went as normal to drive through & ordered. My meal was made large but on inspection the red chip box was only half full? So I pay more for a bigger box but still medium fries inside? Sort it out McDonalds you're a big enough company that you can afford my missing chips!

A Saturday evening drive thru visit to McDonalds was quick and everything ordered made it through the car window!Two Big Mac meals and a Happy Meal wrap were demolished within 5 minutes and it was worth the visit!As always, the photo of the Big Mac, wasn't the same as what was given but when have you ever been given that perfect Big Mac, presented like it's auditioning for a fast food version the 'Great British Bake Off'.Overall, it was McDonald's, it was good, still love the fries and onto the next visit!

Would like to state that i totally understand what mcdonalds is... im not under any illusions that mcdonalds is anything but a pit stop food establishment aimed at kids.... obese people and adults with hangovers.... BUT the 3 major pulls in mcdonalds all over are... 1: the salty fries that are delish if not served piping hot...2: the soft drinks, namely the coke.. nothing better than a mcdonalds coke when hanging... 3: the milkshakes.... now to the reason i am writing this review.....If you are ever fortunate enough to be near the Borehamwood mcdonalds when you fancy it please dont expect to be able to have either a soft drink or milkshake.The past 3 visits we have made each time we have had to leave with waters or milks for our drinks.Once we had to have salad bags instead of fries as they couldnt provide any fried items.I understand every establishment has problems every now and again but this seems to be a frequent occurrence with the Borehamwood branch.Anyway folks im off to enjoy my mcdonalds as a 34 year old man all washed down with a kids milk (forgot to state they sold out of tropicana) or a water.. cheers ronald

Sunday evening 19th June we had booked into the Travelodge down the road for the night. We were walking into Borehamwood to get something to eat, a drink and a bid of an explore.On the outskirts we saw McDonald's and we thought that will do, our decision was helped by the fact it had started to rain. From the outside the building is impressive, in a former life it looked like it was a very large pub, that has now been converted. Inside was bright and spacious and modern with a lot of seating, it looked really good. We ordered our food, 1 bacon tasty £4.49 and 1 big tasty £4.19, £8.68 in total. We were served by a rather miserable young member of staff who appeared totally disinterested. We were told our food would take a few moments.We got our food and found a place to sit and eat. Unfortunately the burgers were tepid, so not very enjoyable. Also it appreared that the sauce on the burger was over applied so dripped everywhere and was messy to eat.This McDonald's has a drive thru. Sadly it appears the place where youngsters come to hang out.

Quite a big seating area and very clean. Not many parking spaces but there is a time limit on how long you can stay without getting a parking fine. The staff could be more cheerful but as a fast food outlet it is acceptable.

When I ever I take the kids there they always forget something from the order. Kids love it there but sometimes can find full with no where to sit.

Standard McDonalds complete with the usual gaggle of teenage "rudeboys" that use it as a meeting ground. However the staff sea with them well which is comforting, although they never have any ice cream!

Quick meal, pop into McDonald's drive through. Parking was limited and the carpark was difficult to access, cutting across a bus lane and heavy traffic. Food and staff were fine however.

I've been to this McDonald's a few times but this was my first experience of the 'drive thru' in Borehamwood.The 'Double Sausage & Egg McMuffin' is my favourite McDonald's breakfast and is always my winner!So to the 'Drive Thru' then and the woman took our order and then round to the first pickup booth we go.. she sounded so happy.Breakfast was handed over and the contact less payment was made.Let's talk about service now..There are some words and phrases used in the English language, 'Please' and 'Thank You' are two of my favourites but so often forgotten.The 'lovely' woman in question, didn't say a word, not even a facial expression. Just the contact less chip and pin unit passed over to take payment.So food wise, the McMuffin was amazing, service wise, maybe she was just in a bad mood.. unfortunately I got to see this!

My friend wanted a drive by quickie. She wanted and recommended me to have the ice cream cone. She loves them, but I was not so keen. No different from Mr Whippy's version. I prefer a more luxury ice cream.

So I thought I would go here before going into big brother over the road. The staff are so rude and don't even to listen to a word you are even saying that had gotten my order wrong 3 times I said I'm allergic to cheese but they still go and put cheese in the damn burger. So obviously I had to take it back only for them to snatch it out of my hand which I thought was so rude. Apart from that the fries are good :)

This Macdonalds restaurant was efficient and clean and service as polite and prompt. Toilets were clean which is always a bonus and despite it being very busy there was plenty of seating and space outside to sit too.

Good value for money and clean. The service was good and car parking was easy. Macdonalds can always be relied on for good fast food at competitive prices

Drive through visit. Incomplete order missing a whole meal.. Phone the restaurant. Staff attitude was take it or leave it. Response "your food is on the window here you can come and take it" its not the first time its happenned. Staff attitude is very predictable. Customer Servuce is non existence.

Restaurante padrão em qualquer lugar do mundo. Lugar espaçoso, limpo e atendimento atencioso. Recomendo!

This Branch is very popular especially with people visiting Elstree studios over the road. The service is very fast I've never had to wait long in here.

this branch can get very busy from the 2 film and TV studios when there is audience in the ques .. but other wise i can't fault it ...

I was not expecting a lot from eating at a McDonalds but it was worse than expected. Grubby tables, useless staff and an exceptionally noisy atmosphere. Our order was wrong and we were served half our meals and told the rest would be brought over.... 20 minutes later!

Great for breakfast instead of hotel one. Clean and friendly staff.Nothing to dislike about it, each time we have been seen someone cleaning up outside and pressure washing the drive.

Best to go through the drive through.Staff in this one a bit iffy!!You can easily be ignored, and the attitude sometimes has been take it or leave it.Staff cannot always understand you so you have to say things very clearly.Best thing on the menu is the coffee or hot chocolate.One good thing to say, and the only good thing is the car park is always washed and cleaned, that is if you want to eat outside

The building is not your typical McDonalds. It's a little more grand (I think it used to be a pub).We had breakfast here. Service was reasonable quick and the food was hot.It was raining when we got there and with wet feet the floor in the restaurant was really slippy.Otherwise good.

The staff were very helpful: I had to use a crutch, so the girl who served me carried my tray to a table for me. Very kind - thank you!

This establishment is based in a former public house that was called the Crown. It has a modern clean appearance and the staff are friendly and polite. Late afternoons can become busy with local school children hanging around outside but it does have a 'drive through' service. The food is typical MacDonalds fast food.

Viieted here at 10.45pm after being in the Strictly Audience. Service was quick and the atmosphere good. Helpful and poilite staff

It is difficult to review a McDonalds restaurant :)But this particular one is spacious and clean. It has a car park of a decent size too.

visited this restaurant for a quick meal and y happy with result.the staff served me immediately and were pleasant.this food was hot and tasty.the restaurant was constantly being cleaned and swept.the tables were cleared quickly and the assistant mgr even asked customers how their meals were.a very pleasant visit.
