Just been to mcdonalds at chilwell and there was a really nice friendly young lady on the till. It was really nice to be served with a smile and a chat for a change.

Mostly good but the occasionally mess up let's it down ,staff are uber friendly

Open 24 hrs? Absolutely not true. Popped by at 10:45pm on Thursday 12th Sep 2024 and closed. Just when I was craving some Maccy D fries.

Recently refurbished McDonalds in Chilwell. Situated on the Chilwell Retail Park this McD’s is a busy place but offers the usual MCD features - drive thru, touchscreen ordering, dine in and outside seating. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Justin was amazing, he made sure all our needs were met and ensured that we had everything we needed. Very personable, friendly and helpful!

Don't bother if you want your food within an hour, disgraceful wait

Check your delivery and make sure you got everything you ordered before you walk out. Of course you shouldn't have to do this but the two times I didnt check I missed items.

I bought a mcflurry smarties ice cream in the drive through, at chilwell retail park, and when I got home, I needed a magnifying glass to find the smarties. I went back 3 hrs later, showed the manager the photos and was given 2 new ones. Drive through isn't the same quality as eating in.

Its McDonald's same old stuff. It took almost 20mins for the food to come. Not really fast food.

This place is horrible they think if they make the place look better than what it was everything else would change, the people who work there are incompetent, lazy and extremely rude and the online app isn’t any better DONT waste your money here

We went for my grandson, he thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought the cheeseburger didn't have much flavour. It was clean, food order was really slow, never known it take so long, but it was fairly busy

Dreadfully hot No air conditioning on at all a miserable seating experience. Eventually was put on but way too late. For a restaurant that attracts young families children and prides itself on such. The starting point is a safe comfortable temperature. The heat from the kitchen is also drawn into the cooler restaurant. If Macdonalds had its staff interest at heart it would also want everyone to work in a sensible safe temperature. A huge disappointment what was the managers thinking. I know we all need to be very aware re energy use. In that case you need to find a different system.

Refused service because I was talking to someone else explained the situation and wouldn’t serve me

Came in during a quiet period and observed staff ignoring customers while giggling and chatting in the kitchen. One customer had to pass the counter to see if anyone was serving cash only purchasers to only have do the same for another young customer also being ignored as little as two mins later. As for my order, my number disappeared from the list and I had to request my meal and wait again. Better management needed here.

Great customer service experience offered by Maha when I requested to refill the bag of fries filled in 3/4. She met the requirements of the customer, professional smile and a very positive attitude during orders. Congrats, Maha! I am a very satisfied customer!

Sunday morning 09:30. Quick service even though fairly busy. Food ok warm and nothing wrong. Clean tidy place. Just your average McDonald's. 😁 Since the refurbishment it has turned into a hatch style service area which gives the place a strange atmosphere, noticed this with others that have changed to this setup, don't know why 🤔

My daughter felt unwell in McDonald's today, whilst she was with her friend. They made sure she was ok, and kept checking up on her. Once again i would like to thank the staff that helped my daughter. Thank you!

Wasn't a terrible experience as far as Maccies go. Didn't have to wait too long for food and service was efficient. It wasn't a very busy day so that allowed staff to give a better performance.

Got my order right but I ordered just pickles extra pickles and I got 4 pickles in the box it's f*ing unacceptable I want more pickles

Had to take the food back was barely warm . They did swap it , the cheese & herb bites still wasnt that warm but wasnt going back a second time as was on a short break at work. Food is often not warm here

3 people cueing, 2 cars in drive through and it took them 15 minutes to make 1 triple cheeseburger. Service slower than paint drying.

Disappointing, ordered a plain grill burger, which took ages waiting in the grill bay, but they must have put the chips in the bag upon ordering and they were cold and tated like cardboard yet the burger was hot fresh and delicious

I enjoyed the nostalgic feeling coming back here when I’ve had so many hungover mornings here . Changed the interior since last time and looks good. Not sure about the other food but breakfast wrap was mint!

Every single time we visit McDonald’s whether it be this closest restaurant or any there’s literally always an issue with orders. Surely it’s not hard to get things right! It’s your job to put an item in a bag which has been ordered on a ticket. Just utter idiots Missing drinks off our recent order 👍🏼

Saturday 16.03.24 1.30PM . Very nasty with delivery drivers . Waiting for answer about customer order and young child manager/supervisor - Kieran suggested me to cancel the order if don't want to waiting but ,he not understood even after 3 minutes conversation, there is about customer waiting or me. After 1h waiting, customer call them and choice to come and pick up the order himself. Will suggest to the others to run away to another mc wich little better.

This is a terrible mcdonalds. Half the staff are so rude and don't care. The food orders are always wrong. The fries portions are always half the size they should be. Its the polar opposite to the Long Eaton one where the staff are fantastic. I always try to avoid this one now

Overcrowd, absolutely full, too long waiting times and the order missed 2 items, out of a 4 items order...

The worst mc donalds experience ever, this is not fast food here, its the slowest serving place ever, I understand overworked and underpaid staff but God damn there's no work in these guys here, save yourself 20 minutes and drive to another one, worst service anywhere and I work all over the country....update: finally got served food was cold "AVOID"

Terrible management, food was greasy, waited 30 minutes for my meal and the whole place was empty and I had to call them up to remind them they forgot my order.

Great customer service provided by a nice young lady, food was correct and hot a lot better experience here than other stores in the region.

It is McDonald's can't say much more. Except I don't like the touch screen machines to place an order. Not the cleanest experience as you never know who been touching them.

Ordered from the retail park through the app firstly the app altered the order after paying leaving off two peoples orders. We rang and got no help from the resteraunt they could neither explain why the app had done it nor could they add anything to our order, despite it having not left the building. Then after resigning ourselves to just the children's meals arriving the order arrived with one of the burgers incorrect substituted with a cheaper burger and more importantly a happy meal missing. My autistic daughter did not react well to her happy meal being missed off the order. I rang them again to inform them they had not delivered a happy meal they again offered no help or course for recompense saying just to take it up with some else. I understand they use outside couriers but they are still responsible for getting an order right before sending it out the door and of theyve messed it up the least they can do is send out a replacement, any other takeaway service would. Disgusted, ill be sending complaints to every department going.

Waiting for around 4/5 mins to not be served at the tilt, all the staff were busy dealing with the cars to acknowledge me, gave up waiting after one of the staff came over just to help a Uber driver out instead

I'm a bit biased to review this company as I do not like anything they serve there, but the kids love it. Service is always good and it has a very vivid atmosphere.

Sat and waited for food to be cooked. Big Mac was fresh but the fries and mayo chicken were stone cold like they had been sat on the side for well over an hour. To say this store has had a revamp it’s worse than it was before.

Staff went above and beyond for an upset birthday boy today. Thank you to the team!!

To call McDonald's 'fast food' in 2024 is a flat out lie. But this is not a problem exclusive to this particular restaurant, Ronald has chuffed the business model. I don't want it fresh I want it now.

Like to pop in for a McFlurry occasionally, but today my Malteser one did not fit the bill. Very little honeycomb and the chocolate was waxy, not even sure it was what I'd ordered it was that poor. Burger wise I prefer a road side van (but that's me).

Do not use these idiots. The last two times they’ve missed the dips off my orders. If you’ve got an issue you have to call Uber eats. When you finally get through they tell you to call the restaurant directly. The first time no one answered the phone just rang and rang… this time, to my surprise, it was answered! And the bloke gave his apologies and said they were aware of this issue, were putting new measures in place and wished me a happy day.

I took my daughter as a treat, she had a happy meal, I wanted a chicken wrap, they had no wraps at all, I wanted a coke zero. They had ran out of Coke Zero (and loads of other drinks) I ended up finding something to eat, so we decided to have a McFlurry as desert. No surprise, they had no McFlurry either. It was not massively busy, so having such a poor choice of food a 3pm on a Saturday isnt great. Oh and to top it off they charge 10p for sweet and sour sauces, I'm going to stick with Castle marnina McDonalds next time as the Chilwell restaurant was a big disappointment.

Got Mcspicy Burger. It was chilly hot but not spicy . Not sure why it is called Mcspicy. Should be called Mcchilly

My fries were underfried. Otherwise the food was decent. Toilets smelled unbearable. The atmosphere was... dystopian? First the ordering with the large screens that require you to put a code from McD's glitchy app, then all the waiting and looking at displeased and hungry faces of other customers. Then comes the eating infused with never ending beeping from the kitchen area. Is the low price worth it? On good side, the staff were friendly and professional.

I thought after the renovation will be a fun place, but even worst then before. Service is catastrophic, we ordered 2 hamburger menu I ate mine(was cold and they missed order so needed to get a new), when finally my partner got his....

Shame the food is mostly cold when you get it Fast becomes tasteless It’s silly expensive for what you get Food looks like it’s been thrown together in a hurry Never any paper crayons or drawing equipment for the kids. How much was the refurbishment for this slack service?

Been shut 6 weeks and milkshakes still not working 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣items missing, drive through not working, no hot chocolate, this place is a sham, will go long eaton from now on, staff are on another planet , zero customer service, there’s one young lad who hands you your food, ginger hair , glasses, this guy is always polite and has a smile , this dude should train the rest of the team , him and the cleaner are the only decent things about this branch

Used the drive through at 5am and had to wait for my order to be prepared, about 5 minutes.

Was a visitor in Attenborough and went to the local Mc Donald's twice. Great place to relax and have a coffee or a meal.

I've been using this branch for about 4 years and they almost always get the order wrong. They will correct the mistake when it's pointed out but it is annoying.

Really gone down hill since the new restyle, 25 min wait for a single coffee.

Not complete order incompetent service ruined new years eve meal

Every time ive ordered from this mcdonalds they always get orders wrong. ALWAYS. For years. Whenever i asked for no onions on a burger, its covered in onions, and today this was true for my big mac, and also we ordered 9 nuggets and we didnt get any at all by the time we checked the bag at home, and we didnt even get any straws for our drinks and had to get those by ourselves. Ridiculous.

This is a McDonald's so you pretty much know what you're getting except this is an exceptionally good McDonald's: it's warm, friendly, and clean (except... My one grumble is the gents toilets which smelled really bad because they're not cleaning the waterless urinals properly. Nonetheless; my overall experience was 5* because the rest of the experience really was that good.

Had a rough day at work yesterday to then go and pick up food for the family. 20 minute journey just to collect two bags that missed out one of our meals. Called up and had to drive all the way back to collect it for the manager to not even apologise just give me a medium fries. Then got home and the burger they had just given me was cold including my food that I was unable to eat due to having to come back to get the burger. Not happy at all with the service so will be going to a different branch from now on.

Bad attitude and slow. I came thinking ill be able to get quick bite and must of sat waiting for my order to be taken for over 5 minutes and other cars was going before me. I decided to question why 5 other cars was serviced before me and the young man didn't seemed to be bothered and had very bad attitude and did not apologised once for the wait. Definitely wouldn't recommend coming here!

Cold food,sent fries back and got a second portion cold to. Wont be going back.

Lovely food ordered at the table, though the food was a little on the cool side but still tasted good. All staff very friendly and helpfull. For some reason the shades at the window to supposedly stop the sun glare, hurt both our eyes when trying to look outside. Maybe something you could look into?

Brilliant community spirit today. Really impressed when they very carefully helped manage a car fire in the car park and a tea spill in the restaurant with equal professionalism Very cohesive and sensible team It's always fantastic service here.Everyone knows their job and carries it out well. Review now lowered from 2 stars to 1 star. EVERY SINGLE TIME I place an order on the app, arrive at a (typically empty) drive-through and restaurant, only: 1. To be told "please park in a bay and wait," and then 2. Discover they've got the order wrong. Literally every single time. The staff have zero social skills, no ability to prioritise and (no matter what the McExecutives think) machines don't replace competent customer service. This place is becoming a soulless abomination.

Really thought the recent refurb might have improved things, but no. The drive-through is still a "park up in a bay and wait 10 minutes" scenario, even at quiet times of day. Then usually you spot an Uber Eats driver leaving with a mountain of food, and it becomes clear that Uber takes priority. Honestly, whoever manages this place needs to take a good hard look at the supposed USP...

New decor after a major refit, looks nicer

Ive been so disappointed lately with the standard of the fries across all my local stores, soggy, opaque and unseasoned. Today they were nearly there. Just missing salt. Still can't get the fries right.

Went in to try the newly renovated McDonald's... utter disappointment. Waited almost 20 minutes for a Big Mac meal... Whilst there were 3 members of staff including a manager twiddling their thumbs and having a chat. No paper in the order machines, the meal was cold, the burger was really dry and my coke lacked syrup and tasted of soda water. The thing is it wasn't even that busy?!

The service and staff excellent, enjoyed the food as did my wife and grandson. The only thing that spoilt the occasion today was the fact the place is brand new but the Toilets were minging.Are people today afraid of rolling up there sleeves and cleaning properley..such a shame.
