McDonald's Gainsborough in West Lindsey

placed an order on app to pick up, the drive thru was extremely busy and barely moving tried to turn into car park from main road was difficult, a staff member came out and was extremely rude ( and a REALLY bad attitude) tried explaining to them we were just wanting to collect but kept repeating "I TOLD YOU TO GO DRIVE AWAY,JUST GO" where is the customer service? Ended up driving away. Not to mention the lack of speed in what is supposed to be a fast food restaurant. I would not recommend visiting here.

Bought two milkshakes, one vanilla and one chocolate, both tasted and smelt like gone off milk. Already at home before realising.

still good as it was everyone as friendly as you could wish for nothing is to much trouble for them everyone runs after you place always clean parking is perfect we would recommend this place to any one well done everyone SHIRLEY thanks for helping out on the menue screens we would never done it lol WELL DONE GAINSBOROUGH

We visit this branch every year as it’s on our holiday route & cant fault them. Always polite, friendly & helpful.

Bad experience since we walked through the door - there was a middle aged lady stood at the door demanding that we put our masks on (which we didn’t have a problem with but we didn’t think we had to wear them in restaurants so we left them in the car, but we were taken back by her approach).When we went inside, the staff were trying to help us with the screen, however they didn’t keep their distance at all and got in our faces, even though we were just shouted at about masks. Also no staff were wearing gloves or hair nets etc. We were seated near the door where people were walking past us constantly and we felt a bit awkward and uncomfortable. We were waiting 20+ minutes and when we got our food we asked to move seats which they expressed an issue with, so we decided to leave. I also thought I’d mentioned that the same lady that shouted at us as we were walking through the door was giving out strict orders to other staff, even though she didn’t appear to be a manager or any higher than anyone else. There was a heavily pregnant member of staff who was given a full bin bag and cleaning products to clean all the tables and seats meaning that she was bending down when the other staff could have done those jobs and the pregnant lady could have stood on the door; she was polite and more welcoming. Worst McDonald’s experience I’ve ever had.

It sell all the things you would expect in a McD's. From the outside it has that really awful smell that you get form some McD's, not nice.

Dirty and been made to small. You’ve got people taking up 2 tables that ain’t even got any food. The service is the slowest of any mc Donald’s I’ve ever been to. The tables floors are disgusting. Most people I’ve spoke to say it’s worse now it’s had a refit. Give this one a miss if you want to sit in filth with people who look like they have moved into it. Disgusting mac ds ever

first class service place very clean and staff very helpfull 100% also its easy parking for us as well and very friendly people also want thank girl in here for the good service her name was ALECIA THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Visited the Drive-thru tonight at 9:10pm, ordered 4 double cheeseburgers and a large shake. Paid ok, picked the shake up and was told to wait it the bay (1). No problem.Waited 20mins, watching other customers that had been served after me, get their food and leave. I went in to speak to someone on the counter. I explained, told 4 different people what I ordered, explained I had no receipt as I hadn’t received my food. Then someone came and asked to see proof that I’d paid, so had to show him my banking app. Why would I be sat outside for 20mins, waiting? I have better things to do! While he went to investigate, he asked another staff member who shrugged and said ‘I took it out’.Yup - to the wrong person! Asked for my money back. Appalling attitude and service.

Gainsborough Macdonalds is my locsl and I regularly order latte from here. Since the refurb the coffee is so bitter its undrinkable. I have tried several cups on different visits and after speaking to the staff they said it was a macdonalds setting on the drinks machine thus diesnt seem to be the case at other macdonalds. What's going on

We visited here recently after shopping in town bought burgers fries an coffees and sat later ordered one more drink. OK we stayed for 2 hours didn't realise we,d stayed so long chatting. Just finished the drink when the security guard came up and asked us to leave. He quoted it was the rules. My husband and I are now in our 60,s and have travelled to McDonald's up and down the country and never had this treatment before. I will stress that there were empty tables around so he had no need to move us on and we were at the point of leaving anyway. Disgusted.

First open in 3weeks and this👀Ordered 1 med mac meal: all cold Big tasty:all cold Chicken nugget h/meal COLD Couldn't serve milkshakes which partner wasn't impressed

Not very busy and ordered food using touch screen. Used table service. We all had to send our chips back and should probably have sent the burgers back as they were only Luke warm. New chips piping hot. Why couldn’t they have done this the first time?

Travel all over the country this was the best by far cautious could not be more helpful said hello and goodbye cleared my table this dose not happen at the rest

No staff, slow and management need sacking. Constantly held waiting for food, some staff are rude and dont care.

Came in today with my husband and daughter I had the French stack, my husband had the Indian chicken and my daughter had a happy meal. I asked for no lettuce and no onion in my burger. We had table service food came quickly bit into my burger and there was onion in it ! Good job it's not a good allergy that could kill me isn't it!! Went upto the counter said I'd asked for my burger with no onion and lettuce I was quite peed off because it's not a hard request is it I did say that to the girl behind the counter had a really bad attitude and said "yes ok I will change it alright" in a tone of voice only a teenager can master. My husbands burger well not even a burger two chicken selects in a rock hard naan bread was disgusting and he couldn't eat it after the first encounter with the rude member of staff I couldn't be bothered going again so told him just to leave it I eventually got my burger back. The only meal that was ok was my daughter's we paid £15 for this rubbish, horrid food what a rip off we will not be back ever no wonder it's never busy when I drive past here !!!

I purchased large big tasty meal and cheese bites. I was told to wait for my order.

2nd time had to wait for 20 mins. McDonald is fast food. 3 people doing drinks, 10 cars in drive through and 8 people waiting inside.

How do you not have bacon rolls ready in a breakfast drive through. They should stop advertising drive through services and just offer deliver to car, as that is all they do. Avoid this McDonalds at all costs they are useless

didn't seem so good on this occasion. The Mcchicken sandwich was rubbery and the fries tasteless. Have eaten there previously and was ok

Appalling, food is slow to be served and cold when you eventually get it and it's a game of chance that you get what's ordered

Every single time I have visited this drive thru they have messed up the order but today takes the biscuits... Not only did they yet again mess up my order after I had to wait over 5 minutes for it to be made, then another 5 mins for it to be made again, but the manager (Tony Jones) then had the audacity to blame me (the customer) for not checking the order properly when the girl took it!!! Seriously, how about they train there staff properly so that they don’t mess the order up in the first place. #itsnothard

It's good to see a McDonalds in Gainsborough! I've only visited it once,but when I did,the place was clean and the staff that served me were very pleasant .

overall great food for pretty cheap prices compared to other fast food chains. friendly staff but you are often told to park up in the car park while your food is made and delivered to your car even though the there is a family of five in front of me who all ordered big macs and didnt have to park up but we did for one big mac and a milkshake

me and my friend had a table, deciding on what we was going to eat, when we was told that if we didn’t stand up and decide what we was eating, we would be kicked out because ‘those are the rules’ and that the store has ‘no tolerance’ for people like us. however, we looked around and several other people were sat, deciding what they were going to order. the woman then proceeded to say they were many families waiting for seats, when there wasn’t. there were many spare tables for people to sit at. i then started to tell her that we was going to loose our table, and she ignored that and said we was going to get kicked out. i gave in and stood up to order, when she then started telling my friend who was saving the table that if she didn’t do the same, she would be kicked out. she started to tell the worker that she was waiting for me to get back then she would, just so the table wasn’t lost. it wasn’t busy to the point it would of been taken quickly, but we still had a right to stay seated as we was ordering. my friend then stood up and started to look at what she could if ordered, but the way we both was treated due to our age (both 15) put us off. why should we move?? we both was ordering food from the restaurant without harming or disturbing anyone else. the bad and unwelcoming behaviour came from one of ur restaurant workers named, rebecca. we came back in to order, and she then told us to get out if we don’t order. we was hungry, we was getting food. we told her this and then said she was calling the police?? FOR WHAT???? because we was customers getting food??? i’m appalled.

Me and my mate was sat at a table deciding on what to eat when one of your staff (short ginger hair, does the cleaning at the front) came up to us and said “there’s a no tolerance in here, order or I’m kicking you out” my mate replied with “we are just deciding what to eat now” she said “go order now because there’s people waiting to sit down” however there was about 10 large tables could sit at. So my mate went to order and I stayed at when she came back and said “there’s a no tolerance for you aswell go order NOW or I’m kicking you out” I replied with “ I will go when she’s back we don’t want to loose our table” with a harsh response she said “go now otherwise” so I stood up and walked to my mate and then walked out. I’m not happy with the response I got off that particular staff member due to us doing nothing wrong when we was going to order and we wasn’t disturbing anyone within your restaurant. I don’t see why there was any need for such behaviour for a so known called (adult) this caused us to feel singled out due to our age and feel unwanted on your premises and then we walked back in and she said it again, we said ok we are and she told us she was calling the police on us

Pleasant food, good meal deals as with any McDonalds restaurant, Clean and tidy and staff are friendly, you always know what you going to get at a McDonalds so is always comforting that this one delivers in that respect also.

Typical McVenue with modern diy facilities and counter service. Worth learning how the diy works then you can take your time deciding what you want. Quick service from order and they will deliver to your table. As always, avoid the cheap end burgers but the more expensive stuff is fine

Often busy, but always good service, especially when we have ordered several of the same thing. Staff very friendly.

After having visited the Gainsborough branch many, many times over the past few years I purchase a coffee in the morning and I try the cheeseburgers 3 or 4 times a week. Compared to other branches they are alot colder for some reason, which obviously only half gets eaten and the rest thrown. Thought the branch would have sorted this problem out by now as it's been going on along time no matter what time of day you go in. Other branches the whole lot gets eaten lol. Somebody like the manager needs to control things a little better. Coffee is nice tho for an extra star

My wife and myself went in after returning from Lincoln Hospital for a quick meal. We ordered our food, it wasn't all ready cooked, so we had to wait a while. When the food was delivered to our table we had to return it and ask if it would be possible to have the meal hot. Fast food, I don't think so.

Nipped in with son for quick lunch- We had wrap of the day which was sweet chilli chicken with mozzarella sticks and diet cokes. Everything was spot on- the wrap was lovely and soft with crispy salad and hot crunchy chicken- yummy! We always love the mozzarella sticks!

went for a new burger none lft and apparently they have run out in scunthorpe too.. well dont advertise it if you cant get enough to sell, so ordered a big mac meal chips cold burger just warm. had to eat in car park or they would have been stone cold by the time we got home. and it was not even busy. disappointed dont cover it. £10:78 for crap cold food.

One week no bacon!! Then no milk shakes or smoothies try getting fruit bags or pineapple slices with the happy meal no chance firstly it confuses the staff and then they are out of stock and tried to order a chicken salad the server looked baffled then said she had to check at the back and came back saying they didn’t have any salads this was at 12.30 lunchtime! So much for a healthy option. Next visit no sauces except bbq or ketchup for the nuggets which you can already have from the dispensers and today drive through breakfast had to wait AGAIN in a parking bay and the edges of the pancakes were rock hard obviously microwaved and yet again not a serviette in sight perhaps gainsborough staff do not wipe their hands or mouth. Just an awful, awful example of a McDonald’s. AVOID.

Nothing too much trouble for staff at this very busy outlet. Order from staff at the counter or on the big screens self service. All the food cooked to perfection and apple pie with cinammon delicious.

Ive used this restaurant several times but after today I will never go again, I give up. No milkshakes AGAIN, no McFlurries AGAIN no signs before drive through to let you know. Que for drive through was ridiculously long so once in the que you were stuck. Ordered chicken mcnuggets, gave them to the car in front so we had to pull into the order bay to wait even longer for more. 9/10 visits I've ended up in the order bay no matter what time of day or what I order. When it first opened I was patient as they sorted and teething troubles but they've never got any faster. Really, really slow at preparing orders which makes the que even longer and causes traffic issues on Trinity Street. It's a nightmare turning right out of the restaurant anyway, the street is too busy and the entrance should never have been built there. Avoid. Quicker to drive to Lincoln or Scunny!!

We were visiting Gainsborough and as we were early popped into McDonald's for breakfast. Very clean and modern looking inside with parking and seating inside and out. We ordered from the new order boards and took a seat.
