Very slow service on bigger orders, food ok when it got here

Literally, the first person through the door At 6 am, nobody was around, but somehow my food was cold and dry Cold coffee cold mcmuffin and stale tasting hashbrown Not the breakfast I wanted on a cold, wet work day Dined in but given a bag not a tray Workers having a laugh and bearly made eye contact Not expecting amazing service in McDonald's, but other McDonald's definitely do better

Busy place, however drive through not to long to wait myself , wife enjoyed when they done them the big cheeses,, or stacks, fair priced, window service good parking tite,, but there are other areas!

Bought 9 chicken nuggets, got 8. Realised too late. Disgusting.

Amigo, podrías haber sido mejor. Había carga de VE (no sé si es este McDonald's o uno diferente) pero no funcionó en absoluto. Luego está la comida. Está delicioso pero si quieres estar sano yo elegiría un pequeño bocadillo. El servicio ni siquiera es descriptible, y los servicios están bien. En serio, los baños están limpios.

Very clean with ample parking. A busy place but staff still very friendly and turned the tables very quickly. Food piping hot.

We came quite late so it was very quiet, can't speak for the lunch rush or anything like that but when we went it was good.

I come here most weeks as it’s cheap and reliable but I have to say that on nearly all occasions I have ordered the milkshake and McFlurry machine is always out of order or being cleaned which is a real shame. If they are going to have something like this on the menu then why not have a backup machine. Seems like they are always broken etc so maybe they shouldn’t have these items on the menu if there are so many problems with the machines

New remodel is so modern and functional, bit slow on ordering but worth it

What have they done to the place?! Following a refurb, they've decked the whole place out in grey. Why?? Add to that the annoying classical music and the atmosphere is depressing. I thought McDonalds was supposed to be fun! I will not be eating in here again. (I will add the staff are always polite and friendly in the drive thru.)

The franchise owner needs to show some care for this store, the customers and the employees who work there by sorting this out. TIM LAMB, show some pride. Yet another updated review to share my disappointment after visiting this McDonald's: As is so often the case, no milkshakes available. Drive through queue was 45 mins wait. Chips were cold, soggy, and no salt added. Burgers tasted as if they had been warmed up in a microwave. Unbelievable that new management has not been brought in to sort out what must be one of the worst McDonald's in the country. Most recent review: Ordered a smoothie today which, when delivered, was only just over half full. Asked one of the employees and she was rude and unhelpful. While sat with our food, security were stood next to a deliquent who was apparently banned from the store but was allowed to be in there spewing out vile language. Even newer review: No burgers today! Repeated disappointment from this branch of McDonald's. New review: I remain happy with the staff but very regularly this McDonald's is missing items from its menu. Milkshakes especially. Very disappointing. Old review: Drive thru is super easy and staff always seem nice. (Was 5 stars)

Slowest McDonalds in the country. Burger bun was so greasy couldn’t eat it. Order was wrong anyway. All for the cost of a sit down meal at a decent joint. Avoid!

Regrets after eating a pile of grease

Ok, perhaps I'm just taking out my frustration here, but I'm in unfamiliar area, using Google maps to find nearest McDonald's (that WAS significant detour) only to find on arrival that the restaurant is in the middle of proper refurbishment, I mean: not closed for half and hour due to unforseen event, but properly shut down (although ironically one of the screens at drive thru shows menu...). No update anywhere, even McDonald's app allows me to order for pick up in this location. What a moronic attitude.

It's currently closed!!!! Idiots failed to update their own website 🙄

Great for a late night snack, can't rate the atmosphere as we came in late and there wasn't anyone there other than us

It's a McDonald's. Although it is a pretty good McDonald's, normally the food is hot and if you order on the app it saves queuing. It can get pretty busy at times though.

Great staff, friendly and polite, but in the rush, I think someone forgot to end my burger🤷‍♂️ I was ready at home and not bothered going back again.

Tim is the only good thing about this McDonald’s! As quick as I am to critique places negatively, I also believe in giving credit where it’s due. Tim was very friendly and helpful with a lovely smile. He was left to clean the entire restaurant on a Friday night- which had all the seating area closed off by 9pm- while his colleagues hung around in the back. There were flies circling around the tables and food service counter and food all over the floor (which Tim was quick to clearing). The napkins had to be requested as no one had restocked the container, ice lattes were not available (not really a shock at this point). It genuinely appeared that Tim was the only member of staff working and I would bet on it that he’ll be the last one left cleaning tonight. Yet again the usual bland service (this time with the added bonus of meeting Tim which was a genuine pleasure) from our local McDonald’s aka (as my partner puts it) the worst McDonald’s in the country by far. The 5*s for service are for Tim ONLY! Well done Tim!

Always fresh, delicious and friendly staff

Food was cold after a 25 minute wait as granted we did arrive during a busy period. Service was a bit lacking, with staff clearly struggling to keep up with the demands of orders. No seating available as it was full and people waiting for their order were stood everywhere whilst people were trying to eat.

Portishead motorway services were jammed packed. We navigated here instead. Staff were great helpful and food didn’t disappoint. Will make this a regular stop on way to Devon.

It's terrible here, the management and franchisees should be thoroughly ashamed. Service took 15 minutes, though I think that the food items were hanging around for at least double that time as most was cold or luke warm at best, and the drinks had clearly been pre-prepared as the ice had melted causing the drinks to be watery and flat. One of us had a double quarter pounder which looked as though it had been pre-chewed. Another had chicken selects, which were very overcooked and one of those was broken in half for some reason. We also shared a box of the cheesy garlic bread bites, but they were stone cold and inedible. This is our first time to this location, and this is not what McDonalds is usually like. I feel sorry for the locals, and I recommend anyone and everyone avoids it like the plague.

Took the grandkids there for lunch, they loved it, they had chicken nuggets and chips and a drink of coke. Us as grandparents had a cup of coffee which was very nice

Food was sent back three times as it was incorrect and cold and looked like a slimy mess. The manager didnt come out from the back. No compensation offered. Kept seeing people take food back and complaining. No milkshakes on offer either. One drink ordered on its own and that was incorrect too! It was funny in the end as it was so unbelievable!

Not impressed total mess burgers not sat on top of each other like just chucked in cheese stuck to side of the box totally unbelievable wish I took photos to show unfortunately I left my phone in my car, never again, McDonald's please take pride in your job if not let someone else do it who needs a job

It's a harsh comment, maybe, but a huge number of children and teens banging seats and being generally noisy today, so this is why my star rating is lower.

I only stopped here for a quick snack and drink. Drive thru was closed but the collection point service was very quick!

Fast food more like no food. People queuing out the door, been here 20+ mins and seen just 3 people walk away with food; 10+ people waiting in line and no progress.

Incredibly slow no matter what time of day or how you try to order. 9 times out of 10 order is wrong with items missing including sauces which were paid for.

I have used this mcdonalds a few times in the past couple of weeks and each time I have had an issue. The latest time i was waiting in the drive through for over 15 minutes for my order of chicken nuggets and a cold drink. Not great service, staff don't seem to be that helpful. Will rather go to Cribbs than here.

They can throw drive-through orders out like crazy but so slow when ordering in the restaurant.

The employees are very good, although the team is very young. The service is always excellent, for example, it is the only McDonald's where they have never made a mistake when ordering juice without ice. I come every weekend from far away to eat here. Too bad there isn't more space, or at least there should be more McDonald's in the area of ​​Axminster, Lyme Regis...

Didn't get the food we ordered but was still charged for what was ordered which was a lot more than it should have been. Totally disappointed.

We arrived at 2 45 I can't say it was very busy, we ordered are food there was not a clean table to be found, bins were over flowing and food on the floor. I watch one member of staff pick up some paper then wiped over the table to clean it off. I hate to think what happens in the kitchen 😕

I go to McDonalds drive-thru Portishead almost every day for coffee. The week day staff are brilliant they know what I want to the point that sometimes I don't need to tell them although I do like to keep them on their toes adding a burger occasionally. Unfortunately that can't be said about the weekend staff, quite often come away with only part of the order and that has on occasion been stone cold. I stay clear from there on the weekends. Could really do with a delivery option as well.

Friendly service and food is always good. Every now and then items can be missing from the takeaway bags when handed over, so I always make sure to double check and staff are quick to sort the issue out. Love having affordable takeaways in our little town for those night when you need something quick and easy! I would love if you would consider a delivery option, or even using deliveroo to make it a bit more convenient! ThankS guys x

Simply disgusting, 15+ tables not cleared, covered in food and rubbish. All the bins were overflowing and the floor was covered in food. Sauce stations were leaking and looking into the kitchen you could also see food on the floor. Witnessed the staff several times take dirty trays from the bin areas and take straight to kitchen ready to be used again without cleaning. Food was cold, drinks were flat just nothing positive to say about the experience.

Service always seems to be very fast here. The staff are friendly and helpful and they always get the order right.

Brought 3 meals each of them were freezing cold 1 meal was completely wrong, had 5 milkshakes that were warm and watery manager said he changed them but were the same ones they were even the same way in the cup holder, they don't listen and make up excuses for the fact everything has been sat about for 15 minutes

The removal of speed from their company policy and the greater awareness of what we are all supposed to be eating means that it’s not the eating experience it used to be.

Great Food needs bigger store and staff

Both the burger and chips were warm rather than hot and the chips were completely tasteless. Will definitely not return.

Can forgive the slow service, and this is one of the slowest drive thru McDonald's I've experienced, but sick of them getting the basics right. So if I'm ordering 20 nuggets sharer and 15 cheese bites sharer why did you not give me the aksed for sauces in the bag? It's pretty basic right, I'm paying and asked for them, was a pretty dry and boring meal we had instead. Have had issues before too, but try to overlook when can. But not a place want to visit again now, probably good as saves money anwyays.

Waited 30 mins minutes for no food to arrive. Prioritising drive through, clearly understaffed.

Ordered on the app. Parked up and waited for my breakfast… and waited… and waited. After ten minutes I went in and asked when it was coming. First time they said the order hadn’t come through. This was a lie. My order was on the screen and clearly being ignored. I eventually got my breakfast 15 mins after the order was paid for. Made me late for work.

Slow service and cold food. You don't expect much from a maccie D's other than for it to be quick and hot. Staff were happy and smiley though.

DISGUSTING McDONALD's. This is quite frankly the worst McDonald's I have ever visited and I would strongly recommend you eat elsewhere or just avoid LAMBTRAD, the franchisee and their restaurants. I actually feel empathy for the McDonald's brand as overall I believe they do a good job but this particular franchise is disgusting as they let down the McDonald's brand on so many levels. The restaurant is staffed by inexperienced junior management and staff who act like its a playground, which is concerning when you consider health & safety and food standards. The restaurant offers and advertises products and promotions but declines to honour them when you try to purchase, this is quite common when the franchisee is expected to take a lower margin for greater volume based on a national promotion set by the franchisor, McDonalds. The food was available, they just didn't want to sell it for less due to the current promotion. Such profiteering is considered distasteful. The incompetent staff are rude and inexperienced in dealing with everyday queries, it is shame McDonalds no longer does the stars on the name badges scheme as in this restaurant they would all be SNOWFLAKES, not stars and maxed out at 5! When you try to give feedback or make reasonable enquiries you are stonewalled by a gang of juveniles so all you can do is take your complaint higher and its often easier dealing with adults. From this point I did manage to speak to McDonalds directly but the actual franchisee and their non-existent customer service team just ignore all opportunities to engage, I think they have learned that its better this way so they don't then have to waste any time making things better or doing things professionally. Looking at other reviews for this particular restaurant it appears my own genuine feedback is neither new nor unique so LAMBTRAD has clearly had opportunities to improve but obviously doesn't care. In summary, McDonalds are probably toothless too so the whole thing limps along whilst they all make their money. What a shame for the brand, a shame for the customers and a shame for franchising in general. I don't expect a response and like their burgers, this feedback will probably just sit there being ignored whilst it goes cold.

Ordered 2 take out meals and when we got home 1 meal was missing the burger, called them and they offered a free burger🤣..... i will collect my 'free' burger that i paid for when im passing🤔.....
