It's terrible here, the management and franchisees should be thoroughly ashamed. Service took 15 minutes, though I think that the food items were hanging around for at least double that time as most was cold or luke warm at best, and the drinks had clearly been pre-prepared as the ice had melted causing the drinks to be watery and flat. One of us had a double quarter pounder which looked as though it had been pre-chewed. Another had chicken selects, which were very overcooked and one of those was broken in half for some reason. We also shared a box of the cheesy garlic bread bites, but they were stone cold and inedible. This is our first time to this location, and this is not what McDonalds is usually like. I feel sorry for the locals, and I recommend anyone and everyone avoids it like the plague.

Hot foid service friendly and e Efficient. Place very clean

Took the grandkids there for lunch, they loved it, they had chicken nuggets and chips and a drink of coke. Us as grandparents had a cup of coffee which was very nice

Food was sent back three times as it was incorrect and cold and looked like a slimy mess. The manager didnt come out from the back. No compensation offered. Kept seeing people take food back and complaining. No milkshakes on offer either. One drink ordered on its own and that was incorrect too! It was funny in the end as it was so unbelievable!

Not impressed total mess burgers not sat on top of each other like just chucked in cheese stuck to side of the box totally unbelievable wish I took photos to show unfortunately I left my phone in my car, never again, McDonald's please take pride in your job if not let someone else do it who needs a job

You can't go far wrong with McDonald's. They're all very consistent ir seems.

Food and service is always good but I have not been able to get a milkshake from here in like four years.

It's a harsh comment, maybe, but a huge number of children and teens banging seats and being generally noisy today, so this is why my star rating is lower.

I only stopped here for a quick snack and drink. Drive thru was closed but the collection point service was very quick!

Busy place, however drive through not to long to wait myself , wife enjoyed when they done them the big cheeses,, or stacks, fair priced, window service good parking tite,, but there are other areas! All in All= 9/10 portishead McDonald's.

Incredibly slow no matter what time of day or how you try to order. 9 times out of 10 order is wrong with items missing including sauces which were paid for.

Went to this one but long queue for drive through chips were very salty more than normal and was given 3 chichen strips when asked for cheese bites sharer box

I have used this mcdonalds a few times in the past couple of weeks and each time I have had an issue. The latest time i was waiting in the drive through for over 15 minutes for my order of chicken nuggets and a cold drink. Not great service, staff don't seem to be that helpful. Will rather go to Cribbs than here.

The employees are very good, although the team is very young. The service is always excellent, for example, it is the only McDonald's where they have never made a mistake when ordering juice without ice. I come every weekend from far away to eat here. Too bad there isn't more space, or at least there should be more McDonald's in the area of ​​Axminster, Lyme Regis...

Didn't enjoy my burger it was over cooked burnt and very dry won't be ordering again.

Didn't get the food we ordered but was still charged for what was ordered which was a lot more than it should have been. Totally disappointed.

We arrived at 2 45 I can't say it was very busy, we ordered are food there was not a clean table to be found, bins were over flowing and food on the floor. I watch one member of staff pick up some paper then wiped over the table to clean it off. I hate to think what happens in the kitchen 😕

Yet another updated review to share my disappointment after visiting this McDonald's: As is so often the case, no milkshakes available. Drive through queue was 45 mins wait. Chips were cold, soggy, and no salt added. Burgers tasted as if they had been warmed up in a microwave. Unbelievable that new management has not been brought in to sort out what must be one of the worst McDonald's in the country. Most recent review: Ordered a smoothie today which, when delivered, was only just over half full. Asked one of the employees and she was rude and unhelpful. While sat with our food, security were stood next to a deliquent who was apparently banned from the store but was allowed to be in there spewing out vile language. Even newer review: No burgers today! Repeated disappointment from this branch of McDonald's. New review: I remain happy with the staff but very regularly this McDonald's is missing items from its menu. Milkshakes especially. Very disappointing. Old review: Drive thru is super easy and staff always seem nice. (Was 5 stars)

Last minute 1/4 pounder that was thrown together at closing time

I go to McDonalds drive-thru Portishead almost every day for coffee. The week day staff are brilliant they know what I want to the point that sometimes I don't need to tell them although I do like to keep them on their toes adding a burger occasionally. Unfortunately that can't be said about the weekend staff, quite often come away with only part of the order and that has on occasion been stone cold. I stay clear from there on the weekends. Could really do with a delivery option as well.

Friendly service and food is always good. Every now and then items can be missing from the takeaway bags when handed over, so I always make sure to double check and staff are quick to sort the issue out. Love having affordable takeaways in our little town for those night when you need something quick and easy! I would love if you would consider a delivery option, or even using deliveroo to make it a bit more convenient! ThankS guys x

Simply disgusting, 15+ tables not cleared, covered in food and rubbish. All the bins were overflowing and the floor was covered in food. Sauce stations were leaking and looking into the kitchen you could also see food on the floor. Witnessed the staff several times take dirty trays from the bin areas and take straight to kitchen ready to be used again without cleaning. Food was cold, drinks were flat just nothing positive to say about the experience.

Service always seems to be very fast here. The staff are friendly and helpful and they always get the order right.

Brought 3 meals each of them were freezing cold 1 meal was completely wrong, had 5 milkshakes that were warm and watery manager said he changed them but were the same ones they were even the same way in the cup holder, they don't listen and make up excuses for the fact everything has been sat about for 15 minutes

The removal of speed from their company policy and the greater awareness of what we are all supposed to be eating means that it’s not the eating experience it used to be.

Great Food needs bigger store and staff

Both the burger and chips were warm rather than hot and the chips were completely tasteless. Will definitely not return.

Can forgive the slow service, and this is one of the slowest drive thru McDonald's I've experienced, but sick of them getting the basics right. So if I'm ordering 20 nuggets sharer and 15 cheese bites sharer why did you not give me the aksed for sauces in the bag? It's pretty basic right, I'm paying and asked for them, was a pretty dry and boring meal we had instead. Have had issues before too, but try to overlook when can. But not a place want to visit again now, probably good as saves money anwyays.

Waited 30 mins minutes for no food to arrive. Prioritising drive through, clearly understaffed.

Ordered on the app. Parked up and waited for my breakfast… and waited… and waited. After ten minutes I went in and asked when it was coming. First time they said the order hadn’t come through. This was a lie. My order was on the screen and clearly being ignored. I eventually got my breakfast 15 mins after the order was paid for. Made me late for work.

Slow service and cold food. You don't expect much from a maccie D's other than for it to be quick and hot. Staff were happy and smiley though.

DISGUSTING McDONALD's. This is quite frankly the worst McDonald's I have ever visited and I would strongly recommend you eat elsewhere or just avoid LAMBTRAD, the franchisee and their restaurants. I actually feel empathy for the McDonald's brand as overall I believe they do a good job but this particular franchise is disgusting as they let down the McDonald's brand on so many levels. The restaurant is staffed by inexperienced junior management and staff who act like its a playground, which is concerning when you consider health & safety and food standards. The restaurant offers and advertises products and promotions but declines to honour them when you try to purchase, this is quite common when the franchisee is expected to take a lower margin for greater volume based on a national promotion set by the franchisor, McDonalds. The food was available, they just didn't want to sell it for less due to the current promotion. Such profiteering is considered distasteful. The incompetent staff are rude and inexperienced in dealing with everyday queries, it is shame McDonalds no longer does the stars on the name badges scheme as in this restaurant they would all be SNOWFLAKES, not stars and maxed out at 5! When you try to give feedback or make reasonable enquiries you are stonewalled by a gang of juveniles so all you can do is take your complaint higher and its often easier dealing with adults. From this point I did manage to speak to McDonalds directly but the actual franchisee and their non-existent customer service team just ignore all opportunities to engage, I think they have learned that its better this way so they don't then have to waste any time making things better or doing things professionally. Looking at other reviews for this particular restaurant it appears my own genuine feedback is neither new nor unique so LAMBTRAD has clearly had opportunities to improve but obviously doesn't care. In summary, McDonalds are probably toothless too so the whole thing limps along whilst they all make their money. What a shame for the brand, a shame for the customers and a shame for franchising in general. I don't expect a response and like their burgers, this feedback will probably just sit there being ignored whilst it goes cold.

I know it was very busy but after waiting for 20 minutes I got my burgers cold...

Ordered 2 take out meals and when we got home 1 meal was missing the burger, called them and they offered a free burger🤣..... i will collect my 'free' burger that i paid for when im passing🤔.....

Awful way too small and very dirty.

Flies. Lack of products. Dirty toilets. No receipts.

Extremely slow and useless staff with no sense of urgency at all. The antithesis of fast food. To add insult to injury, after a long wait, the food is cold and the milkshake is warm.

They mixed Up the drinks and took them longer sa usually.

Dry burger. Tables needed cleaning. Toilets needed cleaning.

I went over 25 years with no McDonald's then have had 2 in a month. The first was excellent but this one was fairly average. My fries were very poor no seasoning and a borderline burnt and they ran out of mcflurries. My burger was okay. I may have timed it badly but found it crazily busy and not a relaxing environment. Probably marks the end for me and fast food. I had a terrible burger King at Birmingham Airport which was much worse.

Whenever I go they never have a working milkshake machine, alway broken if wanting a milkshake don't go to this McDonald's

This is the only mc Donald's near me, I have been here many time but never get a large fries when I order large meal, when I compare with a medium they are in same height, the manager said the large one is wider then disappeared. Hot chocolate only 50% full, coke never have ice in it.

Horrendous service as usual! Staff rude, and unhelpful. Wait times are long in drive through and dine in. Been waiting 20 minutes for 3 children's meals!!! If it wasn’t for the kids i would never set foot in here again.

It's as bad as it can get with a McDonalds. They keep burgers for hours and then send them out like warm and dry. There's usually at least 3 people stood around doing nothing and if you go there in the morning, best of luck cause they don't usually open the doors until 6.10 and take a further 10 mins to serve you. Got our order wrong but was quick to resolve. Food hot.

Could actually have some chocolate pies when advertised and not keep running out of stock, disappointed customers are fed up with either no coffee or no choc fudge brownies or no ice cream, look at your stock ordering process and stop this

Ordered through the app but wasn't given a code only order confirmation. They wouldn't release my food when I got to the window without a code despite being able to show the order confirmation on my phone. The man said that he could see my order on his screen and if I paid him cash he would release it to me. He refused to acknowledge that I had paid on my card via the app and sadly I didn't have any cash on me to give to him. I left with no food and my card has been charged. He said that I could contact Customer Services if I was not happy.

Always use the drive through because inside is always packed when I go at peak times but food is always lovely. Staff are friendly too

This is one of the worst McDonald’s I have been too. No drinks! Why can’t signs be placed up to make customers aware? This would save so much time in drive through and stop disappointment. Ordered my food…then waited 10mins at the window of the drive through to be told go to the waiting bay, member of staff just disappeared. Why was I not told to go to bay in the first place? Finally got my food after another 10mins… NO FRIES!!! So I ended up going inside anyway to get them! - to be told it will be another 2 mins to cook them haha!!! Complete waste of time!!!!!!

It's McDonald's sometimes great just unfortunately not always

One of the worst McDonald's for customer service. I live in Portishead and have never experienced such bad customer service. I decided to order one single Quater pounder Cheese burger. From ordering this I waited 25 minutes to receive the burger. 3 times I requested to pay for my order and three times I was completely ignored as the member of staff kept walking out of the booth. Eventually after waiting to pay I proceeded to the pickup point where I was told by Matt "The Manager"to go back and pay. I explained that I tried to pay and the member of staff kept leaving the booth so there was no one there to take any money. I was not going to queue for another 30 minutes, he offered to take my Debit card and to pay however I felt uneasy handing over my card to a complete stranger. In the end I asked my friend if they had any cash so I could purchase the Burger. Absolutely disgraceful Customer service and will not be returning to Portishead Mcdonalds.

Disgusting service! Ordered on app waited for 50 minutes meanwhile close on 30 cars went through the drive in. Whet in to complain waiting another 10 mins to speak to manager. No apology’s, wouldn’t refund said we have to do that via the app and contact customer services . Will never use that branch again. Young manager who didn’t have a clue .should have gone in early the complain but it was busy and gave them the benefit of the doubt.

Quiet in the drive thru, couldn’t understand what the guy was asking when trying to order, arrived to pay and the shutters were closed, briefly and partly opened to take payment, got our food. Staff very unfriendly. When home found some things missing but most disappointing was tha food just slapped together with very little thought or care. Now I remember why I don’t go there.

The hot chocolate had a strange smell and gas, like lightly carbonated water, it was supposed to be large, but only the cup was large. She ended up in the trash because she couldn't drink. Food cold. There is no option to charge your phone for customers, there are only two sockets at two tables. If someone has a charger with them and is lucky that the tables are not occupied, they can charge their phone. Parking lot very small.

I had to edit my review. Originally it was 5 stars, but this is now the second time when I order something, I see it on the receipt and when I check the order there is one item missing. The last time I ordered a chicken salad, and when I looked in the box there was the salad without the chicken. This time I ordered about 8 items, I asked if this is everything, and yet again one item missing. 2 times in 2 months…

Fairly slow service, can get swamped around meal times. Items occasionally forgotten from orders.

I can't remember the last time I went through this drive through and actually got what I ordered. Based on my own experience, about 80% of all customers must be getting incorrect orders.

Cam the assistant manager, is obviously out of his depth, has he had any customer training at all, just as I thought portishead McDonald’s had improved, along came Cam the assistant manager, what an absolute joke, avoid this place, he’s an horrid little man

It's good. Queues vary wildly but generally it's reasonable. Food is generally decently priced (especially the wraps, I recommend those). Atmosphere depends on busyness but it's generally chill to sit in. Tom cooks my chicken right

I visited McDonald's and I saw Finley an absolutely great and enthusiastic staff member. He was absolutely great and very friendly. I had some problems with my order and Finely rectified my order very quickly and apologiszed. He is an asset to the company.

Popped in to your restaurant between 9-10 pm and ordered some late dinner place was quiet inside and about 7 cars in drive thru the guy (chubby curly hair beard and glasses ) cleaning was really professional and a hard worker I usually pop in every 2 days and every time I have the guy has been working hard well done to him truly deserves team member of the week/month
