One of the worst McDonald's I ever visited. We ordered two different burgers, one came hot and fresh and the other one was dry and lukewarm. Maybe 20 minutes of waiting had something to do with it. There were just a couple already served customers inside and two to three cars through drive The staff was pretty disorganised and seemed to run around with at least 80 % of no value added movements. My food for takeaway arrived on the tray, then was packed by the guy that managed to put both thumb and index finger inside my fries when he grabbed them. Will I ever visit again definitely no.

Just visited this place and tbh i don’t go into mcdonald’s very often and i certainly won’t be going into this one ever again. The whole place looks like it needs closing down. Not one clean table , bins overflowing , floor disgusting . My first thought was they must have had a busy spell and someone will clean up but instead staff standing around chatting and messing with paper crowns and one was wearing a managers uniform ! I’m all for staff having downtime but not when the place looks like that .. Shocking .

DEPRESSINGLY BAD 0.001 marks - have been ordering from here for about a year. EVERY order has something wrong with it or missing. Literally I was lucky to get a complete order once or twice, but that's not the worst thing. Immoral and should be illegal thing is that McDonald's AND Uber no longer issue a refund for an order that has literally a whole meal missing. McDonald's offer vouchers that don't always work in the app and you must pay again for delivery with Uber through their app. Seems like they are deliberately missing off burgers on every order to save their money.

Do yourself a favour and drive past this maccys. You’ll get your food quicker if you drive all the way to tankersly + you won’t have to sit looking through the drive through window as the idle staff ignore you until cars are backing up on to the main road. If they care that little whilst you can see what they are doing, imagine what scruffy antics they are up to in the kitchen. The duty McDonald’s gay guy (there’s one at every McDonald’s) was at least, competent on the headset, I’ll give him that. The rest of them need sacking ASAP. Cheers

Service and quality of food was next to none, Camembert cheese bites are my favorite menu item and when I asked to purchase more dips I was given a very generous supply for free from a very lovely guy on the front counter. Ate in last night. Burger lukewarm and fries cold. Fries were changed by a charmless girl, couldn’t be bothered to wait for another burger. Restaurant was freezing cold. Team seem to prioritise drive through and delivery orders. Spilled coke remained across the serving counter despite numerous team members seeing it. All in all not a great experience, won’t be back to this branch. The franchisee who owns it needs to have better management here

The worst McDonalds I've ever encountered. Tried several times to get the food I've ordered to arrive and be at least warm, but I give up and won't be ordering again. Food regularly takes over an hour to arrive, if it arrives at all. What does arrive is always cold, stale and missing items. They always forget to include sauce with McNuggets, and the drinks are half empty and flat. When contacting for restitution the compensation is laughable. I got refunded 2.91 for a burger that cost 6.89 and didn't arrive. Avoid.

Not been for 2+ years and my god big Mac has shrinked by half the original size and doubled in price!!!! Ordered the new doubled Big Mac with bacon was okay but could have ate it twice. What a dismal place!!! Clearly not wanting customers to eat in. It's priority seems to be for deliveries. Our last order, that was preordered on the app and collected, had no cheese on the cheeseburgers, no bun top on the McSpicy. There are never any thick shakes available so we ordered fizzy drinks that were only half full and flat. Terrible place!

Makes a very regular habit of providing food that has been clearly left out for over an hour, as well as being poorly cooked and totally inedible - straight in the bin. The times can easily be tracked by the timestamps on each food item. Clear repeated safety issues, recommend to avoid. Reported to safety commission.

Asked the lad on front for an E bag twice, to which he declared there weren't any, then asking me if I wanted a delivery bag instead... which is an E bag. Also the chips were stale and cold, had clearly been under the heat lamp at least 15 minutes (after which, it's McDonald's policy to throw them out). I asked for 3 Diet Cokes, and received 2 diets and 1 full fat (didn't notice until I got home) a mistake which is very easy not to make (the lid of a diet has a tab pushed down - the full fat doesnt), and one which could've been lethal if anyone drinking had diabetes. Additionally, the lad on front could see me struggling to pick up the E bag and two lots of x4 cup holders and did nothing to attempt to help, simply staring instead. I can understand his first mistake, but not helping a customer who's clearly struggling is a little rude, don't you think? I've had issues with this McDonald's before and I really do believe a little more training would go a long way - especially with food safety! The whole reason the drinks have to have tabs pushed down is so unsuspecting customers don't potentially suffer a lethal reaction.

Last 3 times we have ordered from here we have had items missing! Tonight we got our order to find four orders of the fries were replaced with a box of chicken selects! Obviously not checking orders before sending them out at all! Apart from my burgers being salty, everything else was fine. We loved the fact that there is an area dedicated to kids down some stairs, it has adult seating but there is a choice to sit away from children. Toilets were clean. Sadly, due to the electric car chargers being installed, traffic is dreadful, queues, and long waits to get into the car park.

Edit: We returned to the McDonalds (Penistone Road) and made a very polite complaint about the missing item from our Drive-Thru order. The staff could not have been better and they supplied us with the missing item. The advice still stands, check your drive through orders and make sure it is all there. It's happened to us many times and if you go back, they will sort you out! *** CHECK YOUR DRIVE-THRU ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE *** Items you've paid for will be missing and if you don't check, you'll be out of pocket. The mistakes are always in the McDonald's favour, you'll never receive more food than you ordered, always less. They missed off my Mrs Chicken Mayo and she was not a happy bunny. . **** EAT-IN IF YOU CAN **** A week earlier we ate in and everything was perfect. Food was good, piping hot and nothing missing. The total opposite of the Drive-Thru.

Food was OK. However, ordered a big mac meal....the big mac was missing. Partner Ordered a chicken mac for himself and they gave us that, but that was separate from the big mac meal. This is only the second time I’ve ordered a delivery from this shop. The first time a main burger was missing so I had to drive down to collect it. Now guess what ordered again to give them the benefit of the doubt and once again a main burger is missing. Once again I’ll have to drive down to collect missing item which completely defeats the purpose of a delivery charge. Around 1PM, early afternoon, me and my dad went to buy food from McDonald’s. We ordered 2 triple cheese burgers and a box of salad with grilled chicken. As soon as we had received our order. They didn’t give my dad salad cream and fork to eat the food as I already ate my food as we arrived on site because my dad had to stop at site so i can eat the food then to join my dad at site. When my dad came, he entered the van and viewed his food, he was concerned because he had been always expecting salad cream and fork, we went straight to work as it lasted us 2hrs of hard work to do because my dad was really busy so he didn’t have time to return and refund the food. We finished our job and arrived at McDonald’s at 5PM in the afternoon, my dad went to complain about the salad because it had no fork and no sauce and we ordered large fries and inside was medium, the salad was un fresh so my dad couldn’t eat it as he hadn’t eaten in a whole 3hours, the manager came and had refused to give us a refund. I was recording the whole thing for proof. She started getting loud at my dad and then with all frustration she shut the window with force. I saw a guy calling the police on the 3rd window as the police came they had told my dad to go inside and complain, because they may not know what the policies are in McDonald’s. They also told us that they needed to check my dads van I don’t know why they said that because we are black and they might think the worst about us. We entered the McDonald’s building and complained to a guy named William Denison. He had refused service because a black man Also known as my dad followed the rules as he only wanted to refund the food because it was un fresh and it didn’t come with what is was suppose to come with, and he had also been threatening my dad by calling the police. He had also written a note about all the things he thought we might have done totally hiding the things what they have done also known as threatening my dad by calling the police. Here’s proof even though this ISNT necessarily TRUE, because she got rude then I recorded the manager for proof, because why can’t I? There are security cameras everywhere recording people without consent this is me recording her without consent. So I have the right to record, because what they are doing isn’t right. We were being racially threatened because they called the police on my dad twice. We left the shop without receiving any refund not helpful people they are racist. This McDonald’s must show respect to everyone and every customer with dignity and respect and no matter where they are. I took one of the pictures from my other phone and I’ll be putting the videos on YouTube for everyone to see how they are treating the customers.

It is truly incredible how bad they are at getting orders right. They must get ~75% of them wrong. Usually its something minor like forgetting the dips. It's gotten to the point where I'll order paid for dips, just in the hope that it will prompt them to remember the free ones. However if you're 'lucky' they forget entire burgers, or all the fries, or just swap burgers you ordered, for different ones. Absolutely amazing that in 2024 it is this bad.

No contento con asustar a los clientes que luego dedicó en el asiento y nosotros y varios otros clientes dejamos nuestra comida como todo lo que el pesebre podía hacer era sonreír y decir lo que vamos a hacer al respecto , te digo lo que deberías haber hecho era vaciar el restaurante porque como rata con ala este pájaro podría estar llevando cualquier tipo de cosa que necesite limpiar correctamente. Estoy escribiendo esto aquí, ya que lo informé en la aplicación mcds con mi recibo y no he tenido ninguna correspondencia con la oficina central. Estoy seguro de que muchos otros se han quejado, ya que fue un shock para las mujeres y los niños de los cuales había muchos en McDonald's ponerse las pilas y entrenar a sus pesebres para cualquier tipo de animal que entra en su restaurante.

How the hell does chicken nuggets convert to fillet o fish, absolute morons, for context I work in retail and understand mistakes happen. That being said this is not the first time this place have screwed up beyond belief. If you can’t read then ask for help! And stop blaming delivery guys who don’t pack the order .

Well, that was it. Finally, will have to give up on visiting this McDonald's .... Every order that Ive placed for in this store had an issue, some reported some not, from missing items to half full cups of coke without ice(working Ice machine), from burgers just with bottom buns to burgers without taste and also weirdly missing cheese, every order gets thrown in a bag, you cant keep up chasing fries.... Clearly, staf just does not care.... What happen with decent service , what happened with responsibility... taking pride of servicing... Also never understood how a order lets say 85 still pending, but 98 has already been passed to the customer...., clearly just the system of preparing sellect smaller orders before big ones ..... How is it fast food when you place an order at 20:20 and not received until 21:05 ? This is x2 chicken mayo meals, x1 happy meal, x1 double cheeseburger, x1 triple cheeseburger.... All the best from us...

How can you review food,service and atmosphere, when they can't even give you what's on the menu. After being asked to come inside because the drive thru wasn't working. We find half the menu available because they don't have enough bread. What a waste of time hillsborough macdonalds is. Not the staffs fault but crap all the same.

First of all dine in customers don't have anywhere to park because uber eat delivery people are taking them, even the parked order bay. Then the chips never have salt on and they are cold. you have to wait 20-30 minutes for food and tables are never clean.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received at your Hillsborough on 19/08/2024, 13:03. The experience I had was far from what I expect from McDonald’s, especially since it is supposed to be a fast-food restaurant. When I arrived at the drive-through, I placed my order and was asked to wait. I ended up waiting around 15 minutes before my order was finally brought to me. When I asked why it took so long, the manager, Morgan, responded with a very unprofessional attitude. She told me that if I wanted hot and fresh food, I would have to wait. Her tone was rude and dismissive, which only made me more upset. A simple apology would have been enough, but none was offered. To make things worse, when I checked my order, I noticed that the Cheesy Garlic Dippers were missing. I went back to the restaurant right away, but when I asked for the missing item, I was rudely asked for my receipt, which I had never received. Morgan refused to give me the dippers without the receipt, even though the mistake was theirs. I asked to speak with the restaurant manager, but another staff member named Joe told me that there was no one else in charge. Joe offered to give me a copy of the receipt, and I had to wait another 30 minutes, during which time my food, and the food of the children with me, got cold. When Joe finally returned with the receipt, he falsely claimed that two staff members had checked my order before giving it to me and that the dippers were in the bag. This was not true. He also told me that because I had “upset” two staff members, they would not give me the item I paid for. When I got home and reviewed the receipt, I noticed that I had actually been charged for two portions of Cheesy Garlic Dippers, but I didn’t receive even one. This is completely unacceptable and only adds to my frustration. I left the restaurant feeling frustrated, angry, and cheated—having paid for food I never received and dealing with very poor customer service. This situation could have been easily avoided if the staff had acted professionally and politely. I expect immediate action to be taken regarding the behavior of the staff, especially the managers, as this is not the way to treat customers. I would also like a formal apology for how I was treated, and I request that my missing portions of Cheesy Garlic Dippers be provided since I paid for them but never received them. I have already filed an official complaint with Customer Service, but I would appreciate a formal response from the restaurant about what will be done to address this issue. Lastly, I would like to point out that neither of the managers had name tags, and I had to push just to get their names. This lack of transparency added to the poor service experience I had. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

What is going on with this place. Used to be the best I the area but just went in and charged £3 more than advertised and when questioned the menu in shop he said prices have gone up? Then update your menu please. Refund given after argument but just not acceptable

I cannot say anything about the food as we have never managed to order anything from here yet, we have tried to ring and order 4 separate times now and no one has ever answered the phone ever. Not sure if it's closed down 🤷🤷
