McDonalds in East Lothian

Thus is handy Location and plenty room but 2 weeks running I've gone drive through and discovered only been given half portions of chips when parked up my car, being disabled isn't possible to go in to complain! Will go to Berwick one next time as they never short measure we half portions! 😡

Given this place a chance on several occasions. Rubbish outlet, never has, milkshakes or the feature menu available. Probably relies on A1 single visit customers, so not concerned enough about service provision/quality.

We were waiting for ten minutes for a table and managed to finally get a table, we were waiting for it to be cleared up when Pauline came over and told us we can’t sit at this table we waited and asked as there was a family of four who needed the table who just walked in and didn’t even wait. This isn’t how McDonald’s work it’s first come first serves and she guiltripped us and kicked us out. We finally found another table but it’s ridiculous how we got kicked off the table. She was very rude and not welcoming, pointing and complaining about us the co workers all we wanted to do was get lunch.

This has to be the world’s slowest serving McDonald’s. I travel up and down the A1 to Edinburgh on a regular basis and just thought the drive through was having an off day, 15 mins in the queue just for a coffee with only two cars ion front of me, the staff have the enthusiasm of a dead sloth and are thick as mince, even when I go in to grab a coffee rather than use the drive through they are extremely slow and staff just seem to stand around with vacant looks on there faces standing around doing F*** all. ABSOLUTELY USELESS

The Gulags most likely offered a higher quality of service and food than this venue....best avoided.

this "restaurant" really needs to get a grip, it proudly states it is open 24/7 yet anyone trying to enter the place after 10pm is locked out, the place is thus guilty of false advertisement at best.. if you don't allow customers after 10pm make it known on your signs.The food is often cold and the staff are in need of retraining (some need to be removed entirely) - the place has been degrading over time and it is by far the worst of the worst in the local area.It thrives on tricking customers from motorway for quick bites, that's it.. also with the way McD's has removed most of their breakfast menu this place is even more of a relic.The entire place needs a massive upgraded; start by sacking the current management, who clearly don't care.. especially the night crew (or get rid of night crew and stop falsely advertising to be 24/7)

Horrific woman on the door, Monday 27th January, 12.30pm. Shouting at customers, we did the track and trace on the board she rammed in our faces, after we completed it she denied us entry as we hadn't shown her the completed form on our phones, so we did it again, as my husband went to turn his phone around to show her she rolled her eyes didn't even look and shoved us through the door. Disgusting behaviour with a really nasty attitud. We will be making an official complaint to head office. This was the same case towards all customers trying to enter for lunch. No need what's so ever!!!

Drive-thru: Cold chips, a wait in the bays for a straightforward order and five delightful lads fighting in the car park throwing stones at each other, no sign of staff to move them on. Should have realised when the car park and drive thru were so quiet on a Saturday early evening.Will not be returning, this was a decent branch a few years back, not any more.

Staff always very pleasant but this has got to be the slowest fast food place ever !! So 9am Saturday morning, busy with folk wanting breakfast drive thru , 1 order point closed , queuing traffic ( and once you're in there's no way of getting back out , you're trapped) . Took about 15 minutes wait with irate drivers in front and behind . The rest of carpark not busy so probably not many customers inside. Breakfast at McDs is about the last remaining edible food now , the Big Macs are rank and other burgers dry and many orders wrong . Cmon McDs the rest of the world is going to surely you can keep us going with breakfast that we can get straight away .Once eventually got the food was good . But cmon stop the queues does my nut in

Avoid this place at all costs.The staff are incompetent.They stand around clueless.Ordered plain quarter pounder meal.It wasn’t plain had more stuff falling out it then on it and about 5 chips.Ended up out the window o the A1.Cheese melts were cold nacho cheese

Arrived Sunday morning around 7.40am to be turned away from the front door and told by a cleaner that there was no access to the restaurant. I was told to order through the app and they would deliver to my van in the car Park but the app wouldn’t work. My van was to big to fit through the barrier so I walked up to the drive through which was operating as normal and tried to place my order and walk through the drive through to collect my order but was told I couldn’t walk in the drive through so was refused my breakfast. Having driven for several hours with my plan to stop at Dunbar for my breakfast was disappointing to say the least. There was no explanation of any description why the restaurant service was unavailable which seemed very strange as the drive through was operating as normal although only if you had a vehicle that fitted through the barrier

What could possibly go wrong, electronic menu system to order, put in order for 4 x breakfast meals.... With hash browns and drinks.. Cute is in meal deal (you'd think) no receipt, tell manager the machine is it off till roll... Nothing except " do you want a receipt?" I stated no, its just there is no printer roll so it will need replacing! Still nothing. Get back to campsite after asking for a drinks carrier and get given a 2x drinks carrier just to make things awkward and dish out the breakfasts to kids and Mrs... Oh no, I'm missing a hash brown.... How when you ask what I've ordered and also its stated on the screen could you get something so wrong!!!! Appalling

mate i had a big mac and fries. first of all whys it called a big mac, it was midget. Looked like a kids portion. AND FRIES, WELL THEY LOOKED LIKE THE JUST CAME OUT THE WAHSINE MACHINE. FREEZING.FUMING. ordered a coke, but they came with a banana milkshake.

Dirty outside with gulls eating the scattered food. Bins full. Toilets dirty with no soap or towels. Staff disterested in discussing these issues. Food slow and worse than any other branch ever. I emailed the company and got no response.This branch is near the A1. Drive on

i’m not impressed with this experience i had, my food was cold, late and i had to change my order three times to get it correct. once i finally got my food there was flys eating it absolutely disgusting. the staff are not trained properly and don’t deserve to get paid.

Truly disgusted three separate time food was cold ,then to day I was told to pay for coffee which was surpose to come free with meal,then the this small tattoo boss at McDonald's started arguing with me on paying for coffee.

After several previous visits with no issues, today was the worst out of any. Fries tasted like they were pulled out far too early, soggy as hell, the first time I have never finished my fries, minging. Fast food should not equal crap food. The new McSpicy was rubbish, the previous chicken deluxe was far better. The new lids may be eco friendly but they are not customer friendly as not as secure. When the wife took her drink the lid came away resulting in the juice going all over her, then having to buy clothes in Asda next door.

Took grandkids to this fast food restaurant,sorry did I say restaurant , ordered 2 kids happy meals , I thought that they cooked them first before serving as they were freezing cold, ordered orange fruit shoots given black currant ,I ordered a chicken legend meal, again stone cold, no straw given with drink and no ketchup available when complained I was told that “ sorry but we have been very busy and that we have none left , Staff should embark on a customer service course on how to talk to the public,It’s last time that I will visit this McD. I have been in many around the world and this must rate as the worst off all time,

Turned up at 3 in the mornin after a massive sesh looking for a 1 way ticket to kebabville. Instead I ended up with a 1 way ticket to A and E after this large mcticker clogger gave me a sudden heart attack. Wont be back....unless I'm really hungry

I am absolutely appalled at the service in this, it could barely be called a fast-food restaurant, Sean was an absolute g. No problem with him. However, this is not what this review is about. Let's get onto Pauline. She was an absolute disgrace of a worker and put a hair in my fries . Never coming back here, would not recommend. I would rather impale myself with a fork.

Crikey...how they get it so wrong is beyond me. If you are allergic to ketchup,please,for your own safety,steer clear. After asking for no ketchup...I got extra ketchup. This has happened on the last 3 visits. It’s like you need to order at random to have any chance of being satisfied with the food you receive. Wow...just wow.

Came down to dunbar from haddington in the pouring rain with grandson after checking on website what time you were closing which was 8pm only to be told at car park entrance by young boy employee that you were closed and this was at 7/20 not the boys fault as he was very wet and very apologetic if you closed at 7 then put it on your website I understand that no one wants to work on new year's eve but try to keep your loyal customers informed. Female member of staff was very rude and didn’t apologise for restaurant being closed simply said not McDonald’s fault it says open on line when they are closed and indicated they are closed every Wednesday morning at this time.

For 4 weeks now In the space of 2 months I have been going to this establishment receiving 1 fries for 3 meals and waiting a maximum of 1 hour at the 3rd stall and the workers even missing out a WHOLE MEAL these people whoever is coaching these people have a little word with them .

We went through the drive thru as we were out shopping and just wanted to eat in the car. Received order, parked up and food was freezing cold, also only gave one straw for two drinks. My partner went into the restaurant and got fresh food but again chips were cold and could tell they weren't fresh also didn't give us the dip to go with cheesy bites so back my partner went again!! Also the strawberry milkshake had to be swapped as it was white and foamy.Very disappointed and won't be in a hurry to go back. Think the manager needs to get a grip.

Not much to say as it's a standard drive-through McDonalds. Staff were helpful and friendly, covid measures were appropriate. Some of the menu was not available, but that's to be expected at this time.

We had to wait for a table at the front door but the young man called Shaun was a delight to talk to. Shocked to hear of the abuse some staff get. Our first visit to anywhere since March . Small Granddaughter stated loudly chips were cold and this was overheard by staff member who replaced them. Staff friendly and helpful

we entered and were shown to a seat where we had to figure out what was being said to us through a mask. We had real trouble sorting the app on our phones as its problematic (we were told this after 20mins of faffing with it) so we got up and used a machine to order instead. We waited a further 15 to 20 mins for our food qland it wasn't even hot. We went to the bathroom and I went in first. I called for my little girl to come in only for some stroppy cow to tell me she wasn't allowed. I told her my little girl wasn't being left to which she replied 'I'm here. I sat and watched like a hawk to see this woman allegedly watching my daughter while she wandered round clearing tables. Covid or not...parent takes care of child and shes lucky I didn't slap her. Absolutely furious and appalled. NOT recommended to anyone. Rude staff,cold food and ridiculous wait for no reason whatsoever. Scottish hospitality...wow!!!

Waited 40 minutes after paying for my order, to actually received my food, staff in kitchen were using foul language, staff were too busy serving new customers who came to sit in and those at drive through rather than sorting orders of those standing waiting on the floor, unable to distance as there were that many people waiting for their food that was ordered to take away, unacceptable, was told the delay was due to them having several problems

Had takeaway, got home 5 mins later to find 3 large Fries virtually empty! Really annoyed.Went back, explained and the two young guys sorted it and refunded with no fuss. Handled my initial annoyance well and the outcome was appreciated. Even though the manager was a young guy, he handled it perfectly so even though I've criticised their slow service before, this time they did very well. Bravo.

took us 10 minutes to get a Milkshake and fries. Absolutely shocking. fries were well cooked but milkshake looked like poo. we felt disrespected. WE WILL NOT BE BACK !!

Took quite a long time the drive thru. The fries were good. I absolutely adore the mcflurrys I usually hate them but this one was good.

Words cannot describe my hatred for this restaurant. They took 25 minutes to give me a McMuffin (Yes just that) when I received it, not only was it ice cold. It was VILE.

Absolutely disgusting the tables hadn't been washed down, food and rubbish on the floor the kids area with the screens filthy, every table bar the occupied ones full of rubbish and food on the floor, health hazzard disgusting. I told member of staff she was nice and apologized, young kids running a F,F and is grim. I promised two 8 year olds a MD otherwise I would have walked out. And especially with the Coronavirus they should be on the cleanliness

One person in front of me as I arrived being served with his food. 9 minutes after ordering, my Cappuccino ( the only thing I ordered ) arrived. Spectacular

I had the misfortune of entering your premises on the 15th of February something I will never do again. We had ordered 5 meals 4 drinks and 5 McFlurrys to take away, now understand the restaurant wasn’t busy so there was no excuse for the food not being hot but when we done the 5 minute journey in the car home every single meal was stone cold and most of it went in the bin absolutely disgusted with this place spend £35 I might as well have just chucked it away if you have any sense you will avoid at all cost

Thought drive through was meant to be fast they make you wait for a coffee and the fact if there’s a que then your good to be sat in there for at least 10-20 mins no speed what so ever

WORST Mcdonals I’ve ever been too. First it stunk even though being no where near the toilets! Next service was terrible. First the staff her all chatting and ignoring a line waiting for service. Finally served by a woman called Pauline. She was TERRIBLE so grumpy and rude I actually don’t know how she got a role in customer services. Food then took ages to be made. Manager was a girl who clearly didn’t care and no one was listening to. Visit was at 3 on a Thursday so it wasn’t exactly busy. I know it’s Mcdonals but all the other Mcdonals I have been to have been great but this was really bad. AVOID

Visited A few times since this place opened and the speed of service shows no signs of improving. The chips seem to always be stone cold and dried up, perhaps they are cooking too many at one time? The staff are great and apologised for forgetting and item and replaced the fries, however, the long wait and unreliability of actually getting hot food can’t be forgiven forever! People don’t mind airing if whatbthey actually get is hot and tastes good! Finally, staff were doing a great job of cleaning the tables, but seem to ignore the floor under the tables, despite there obviously being rubbish, dropped chips etc

Yep, sadly another enforced visit and the SLOWEST most disinterested service of any McDonalds I've ever visited. Bravo management staff for cultivating a culture of apathy and appalling service. Well done indeed. Please avoid

This place is awful. Starting with the food, the chips were stone cold.My food took forever to arrive, which i don't understand as there must have been 7 or 8 members of staff apparently doing nothing.2 of the 3 toilets in the ladies room had no lock.Anyway, my biggest beef with this place is the attitude of the staff.1. I heard one member of staff being reprimanded in full view of restaurant for taking food out with his break time.2. Someone must have been going on holiday at the end of their shift as everyone was shouting "See you in 2 weeks, LOVE YOU!!"3. The manager said loudly to one member of staff, pointing to something on the ground "Pick that up!" Just do it yourself as your staff are hopeless4. Someone must have been pregnant as I heard "Oh shes been trying for ages, hasn't she?"5. Someone was singing Bob the BuilderGeneral shouting and capering all in full view of manager. I get it, you don't get paid much but just grow up when you are at work.

What can you say McDonald's is McDonald's you can never go there and come out unhappy although the last two times I have been up they have gave me the wrong order but even at that i still enjoyed it this place is clean and tidy and the staff are friendly

For the love of God where do they find the staff in this place. Slow service, half of them look drugged on sleeping pills. I never knew you could get McDonald's food so wrong. Everything is always cold, half portions of chips & drinks. But the breakfasts are shocking, always a hard scaly layer on the eggs in the sausage and egg mcmuffin meal, drinks are always wrong. Don't ever expect a milkshake there isn't any. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.Management needs to look at all the bad reviews on here for Dunbar McDonald's & take some serious action. It's put me off McDonald's all together!!!

The title says it all. 830am on a Sunday and 15mins for a bacon roll. This franchise is an absolute joke. Also, how about changing your cooking oil a bit more frequently, the burnt oil flavoured hash brown was disgusting.

A good McDonald's just off the M9. Service is very, very slow. No one seems to be in a hurry. Long wait for a sandwich and coffee.

Waited 20 minutes in a near enough empty McDonald’s for my order, with no apology for the time taken. I was later told to leave the shop after the order was incorrect and also told I was “pathetic”. Confrontational management whom wouldn’t give her name. Absolutely horrendous service !!!

I went in there for breakfast while on a solo holiday in Dunbar, firstly the wi fi was not working and the table service was quite slow. Please sort out the wi fi if you have'nt done so already as some of us like to use your app to order therefore when someone wants to order it does not help those who have no data left.

It was a terrible service. The window was not open so my dad drove past it. When we got our food the lady didn’t let us pay there and said you will need to park up to pay.

We visited to break up the journey between Aberdeen and Newcastle. We ordered two identical Grand Big-Mac meals. I got the regular Mac and had to ask where the chips were. It was busy but I think it’s down to the fact they have a captive, weary catchment of customers wanting to stretch their legs, have a comfort break and a bite to eat. I’ve had better.

I used to like McDonalds but lately I have been let down by the order being wrong, patchy service and noisy tweeny clientele so have avoided their restaurants for almost a year.Anyway I was pleasantly surprised when I visited this place with my three children; our order was correct, the service was friendly and the place was clean and pleasant despite being busy.The only let down was the childrens tablets which didnt seem to be working when we were there so deducted a point as our children were disappointed.

Staff were friendly, food was correct and very hot with nothing wrong on my families order which tends to happen more often than not unfortunately. We stopped here on the way back to Dundee. The restaurant was clean and you know what to expect with a McDonald’s. Our meal was very much enjoyed.

We don’t go here often but when we do - maybe twice a year as it’s so bad we never get a fast correct order - you would think waiting 20 minutes for a drive through gives them time to get it right.....! Also salty chips not ideal for anyone especially kids! Will probably take 6 months to forget how bad it is and then visit as a last minute stop! Fix it out!

Visited here twice recently. Both times went into the restaurant. The staff were so busy dealing with the drive thru there was no one to take your order leaving you standing for several minutes. Eventually supervisor sitting in booth noticed and went to get a team member before returning to the booth some more important business on their mobile phone.The problem did not end there as you then joined the long collection line for a further lengthy wait. Last Thursday it took 20 minutes to order and be served a diet coke without any food.

Arrived at 2245 and eventually got food at 2310 - not at all busy. No till rolls at all in the store so not VAT receipts available. Told by shift manager ‘ there’s nothing I can do for you mate.’ He also told us that they had been unexpectedly busy and had run out. I asked if someone had forgotten to order the rolls and he confirmed this. Finally served food and the soft drink came with a coffee cup lid because they had run out of lids too. One member of staff removing dryers for chips with cleaning gloves on - possibly the worst McDonalds I have ever visited!! Stinking attitudes and really poor service - avoid at all costs!

Travelled 30 mins to be told no breakfast and they won’t sell you anything else till 10.30 not the first time I’ve been treated like an idiot brain dead morons a disgrace give it a miss sack the lot of them useless visit Dunbar high street instead Winston fitz

We have been here a few times much to my disdain as every single time we go it’s at least a 20 minute wait, decided today to try the drive thru as it would be quicker, right? Wrong! Arrived at drive thru 17:34 ordered a milk shake, didn’t have any fair enough these things happen, just ordered a plain burger, 4 cars in front of us, finally got to food window at 17:56, handed burger, checked it was plain, it had ketchup on it & was lukewarm, my hubby went back in & the guy was nice enough & got him a plain one straight away. We will prob be back as the kids have this as a treat when we are at our caravan but the waiting times need to improve dramatically!

Just been to McDonalds drive through, queue was awful, service polite, got a new york stack - nearly - if a base, cheese, two dry burgers and nothing else at all was that it was supposed to be.......will not be back - could not even be bothered to go back to complain - which is how they get away with such awful "food "

Special mention to the very friendly staff at this particular McDonalds, the whole place was immaculately clean, I know it’s pretty newly built but the staff have kept it at almost new conditions.

The weird thing about McDonald's is that it is so consistent, the service and taste are the same whether you're in New York, London, Toyko, some small town in the American Midwest, or Dunbar. Except somehow in Dunbar they get the taste right but the service is just terrible, time after time. To be sure, not every time. But there is a problem with this franchise, in that wait times -- in person or at the drive thru -- are much longer than they should be, far too often. And there are errors in orders. I don't understand how McDonald's head office doesn't get involved and sort things out.

Waited about 20 minutes for a big Mac and 5 chicken selects. Wasn't even busy. Not even close to fast food

I found this site very clean, quiet and with very friendly service. Even the toilets were clean and the parking was easy too.

A so-called fully automated outlet with touch screen ordering which is anything but. Slightly different order took me to the counter instead to wait ages for a real-person. Order collection system is shockingly poor and the staff were completely miserable. Not somewhere I would recommend.

One member of staff continually kicks paying teenagers out of the restaurant when they have done nothing wrong. I saw one incident recently were teens had just walked into the restaurant and where about to pay for a meal when the staff member told them they had to leave, when they explained they just wanted something to eat she snapped at them and escorted them out. This is not how to run a successful business.

I have witnessed Staff being rude and judgemental towards teenagers sitting in McDonald’s for 30minutes or longer , even though the youth are buying drinks and food and being quiet they decide to pick on and kick them out for no logical reason.

Slow service and hardly warm burgers! I don’t know what the problem was, drive in and restaurant were not busy. Staff were just standing around. Usually ok here, maybe ppl were not awake, it was New Years Day.

After an evening out, the children wanted McDonalds. The Drive Thru was really slow, though only one car ahead. Otherwise, standard McDonalds fayre, with which the children were pleased. Us too - kept them quiet.

All good, nice and quiet on a Tuesday afternoon. Food hot, tasted the same as it does everywhere (ie like cardboard) but all fine.

Love this branch of mcDonalds they have really good customer service. I recently visited with my daughter during a fundraising day. I felt bad as i only had my card on me for payment, & my daughter wanted her face painted & i fancied some of tge homebaking that was beautifully presented. I explained my problem to the lobby assistant & asked if i could pay at the till, but she kindly informed me to hand it in on my next visit which i did, so i just want to thank the staff for allowing mema to do that & making my daughters experience & mine a pleasant one!!

We as a family of four went for an afternoon outing and expected the usual McDonald standard. What we saw was quite truly unbelievable. After placing our order we witnessed a young male worker walking up and down the restaurant with one of his hands down the front of his trousers scratching the groin or genitals! This happened over and again sometimes accompanied by colleagues. My wife gave a nervous laugh and declared he must have pubic lice!! If i had not seen it i would not have believed it -- we just did not know who to complain to. As he appeared not to serve or handle food we decided to wait for our order which seemed to take quite awhile. Even that was not what we ordered despite the place being not too busy. By this time we saw the same guy going about totally oblivious of his hand action. The whole set up looked well below the McDonald standard with the furnishing dated and the front door open despite it being cold outside. We were truly shocked and hope the management will truly take stock of this and have CCTV monitoring of their staff.

nice place to stop. very hi-tech McDonald's had a touch screen self service kiosk. a bit confusing especially since been on the road a while. the till service was one till and the que was long. service was quick and food was brought to the table. kids liked the tablet screens they could play games on but meant it took longer to get them to eat and get back on the road. nice stopping point on way to haggerson castle

Hate the new interactive ordering and hanging around waiting for your food getting in everybody's way when it is busy. Can't claim your free loyalty coffees through machine so have to queue up again for that and when you spend £20 having to pay 5p for a recyclable paper bag is taking the p really. We should have taken the food out to the car on the tray

This is a good McDonald's. We have been to far worse! The place is clean and bright, friendly staff, clean loos - and right on the A1 as you sweep round from Edinburgh. There is an activity bench for kids. The food is fine and we enjoyed our visit.

well after placing my order at the drive thru i asked for large big mac meal only cheese extra cheese.... 6 nuggets curry sauce.... and caramel mud pie mcflurry, first i was asked what drink irn bru... sorry we have no bru. then coke please.... after waiting a good 10 mins i get my food... girl who served not pleasant not happy just ignorant..... got burger no extra cheese ..... chips soggy....... no curry sauce....... no ketchup........ and thankfully i got a mcflurry cos at this McDonalds its never working...... i really think you need some serious staff training as 90% of your workers would never hold down any other job and the lack of customer service is appalling

On arivall to the drive thru I was greeted with 'what can I get for ya!' Not the usual welcome to Mcdonalds speech we are ALL accustomed to!! Then after the order and payment was abruptly taken I waited a good 7 minutes for my 'food' to be slung out of the window at my car, to discover my double sausage and egg Mcmuffin was just 1 egg in a muffin with NO sausages COLD and the hash browns in bits and also COLD!!! The coffee was ok but was not offered sugar and not given a receipt!!! Come on Mcdonalds how hard can it be for a well established chain to get breakfast so WRONG!! Will not be using this place EVER again! Severe staff training required here.

Well, what can I really say about using the drive through to order a couple of Sundaes.Queue looked massive but the drive through was super efficient, order at one point, pay at another and food was ready. Very efficient. Seems a very popular joint as every time we drove past the car park was rammed.

On a visit to Dunbar we stopped for lunch. The restaurant was quiet, we ordered our food at the automated kiosk and took our seats. Our food arrived after a reasonable wait, our order was incorrect and the sauces requested were missing. I checked my receipt and indeed the order was incorrect. On asking our table server to correct this - he grumped and obviously thought I was wrong and grudgingly went off to rectify the problem. Before his return it became apparent that some of our food was not hot verging on being cold. Not ideal for a burger, fries and chicken strips! I once again informed our server as he returned with our missing items. And one again he made it very oblivious that we were being troublesome by asking for what we had paid for. I asked a passing member of staff if a manager was available, he politely and effectively along with a colleague from their Berwick upon tweed store said the would send the manager over shortly. After a few minutes a young lady in a managers uniform appeared. Then with a hands in her pockets and an abrasive attitude asked if we had a problem. I explained our issues and told her if our disappointment. She was slightly apologetic and grudging asked if there was any thing she could to to remedy the situation. I only suggested that she could remedy these staff problems for the future. I should have asked for a full refund, as the overall service and food was that poor. We ate our food and had our drinks as I didn't want to disappoint the children with me. The £19.95 spent was not value for money or a pleasant experience today in Dunbar MacDonald's. Very poor staff attitude by some and dismal management by others. The only positive I have about my visit was that the seating zones and toilets were spotlessly clean and the visiting staff that I came across were very professional.

We visited for some food on our way down the A1, but it was not a good experience. The staff left us standing for almost 10 minutes, even although we were the only people in.

Only one till taking orders so we had a long wait before being served. No milk shakes so we had disappointed children. Asked for milk as an alternative... no milk (bottles-cartons) so the young lady gave me a paper cup with milk in which my young son went on to knock over! No replacement offered in fact all that was offered was a mop and bucket brought out and left next to me by the only lady taking the orders!! I mopped up the spill for health and safety reasons and then another member of staff arrived with a hazard sign and took the mop and bucket away! We left with disappointed children and had to visit the supermarket next door to buy milkshake!!! Not a happy experience ☹️

On our way home from Berwick, we stop for a takeaway. Each time we have done so, we were impressed by the efficiency of the staff, offering a prompt and well organised service. The meal itself has always been freshly made and very tasty.

Ordered a breakfast meal this morning and whilst it didn't look busy when we ordered at the drive through kiosk when we turned the corner to pay there were 4 cars waiting. Considering this is a "fast food" outlet it certainly wasn't fast food!When eventually I got served the food was the usual standard you come to expect from McDonald's
