McDonald's in Stratford-on-Avon

I am aware that McDonald’s prides themselves about items on their menu being available including breakfast items till the end . Today they had no porridge and they forgot part of the order.

Macdonalds food is always impeccable but my experience today with the toilets as put Mr off coming again to this establishment. I know it's been a busy day with the Xmas market and lighting up of Xmas lights but the toilets have put me off my food. There is only 1 toilet on the ground floor and feel sorry for anyone that has has to use it. Nothing wrong with the staff at all

Food cold..... and full of screaming teenagers with no food security told them number of times to stop screaming......... Should of thrown them out ... Last time we will go there.. Roll on weatherspoons

Do not use Uber eats to deliever from this place food was stone cold and half a hour late phoned u er eats they are about has much use has a chocolate tea pot they said it’s McDonald’s fault and McDonald’s blame Uber eats don’t worry tho has bank is refunding my money abs they will get it bk off this useless delivery service

The toilet facilities were severely lacking. Only one toilet, floor was soaked, sanitary and nappy bins overflowing, toilet roll all over the floor, the walls or dryer hadn’t been cleaned in sometime as they were covered in stains and dust. I’ve seen cleaner nightclub toilets at 2am. Gross.

Sunday lunch time and its quite filthy... tables not cleaned, long queue, not to mention the toilet. Staff were trying their best, struggling to a breaking point. I don't normally review McD as we know the standard, but feel compelled to review this one, as its a crowded tourist area, and surely some consideration must be made.

Just ordered.. No receipt given.. collected order walked back to Premier Inn.. Half of order missing so I paid for a meal and got a box of fries.. Absolutely rubbish

Popped in here as everywhere else was full up and was pleasantly surprised given the nature of a lot of outlets of this particular franchise. It was clean, staff were friendly and the food was well prepared. Quirky layout in an L shape due to the buildings age made it appealing in that aspect. All in all a very good McDonalds compared to the many that you come across in big cities.

Today I ordered a vegetable salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber and onion). I was given a box of lettuce and one piece of tomato. I went to the checkout. The cashier and the administrator dug their hands in the salad and finally agreed to redo it. After 10-15 minutes I get the same lettuce and one piece of tomato with a huge bunch of white onions (not for salad) on top. Lettuce and tomato remained the same (I remind you that the cashier and administrator were digging there with their hands). I've attached a photo.

An amazing location. Ordered using the app before we arrived. Drinks were ready within 2 minutes of our arrival. 1 staff member was keen to help us get sorted.

So this morning I went to this macdonls and I ordered 2 hash browns.It took them HALF AN hour to give it too give it too me.So I waited and waited being polite because I understand the hard work they give but HALF AN HOUR was just too long.All I ordered was just 2 hashbrows and it took them HALF AN HOUR they gave everyone else the food and they gave them hash browns too but all I wanted was 2 HASH BROWNS.Then finally one of the staff members asked what I ordered and it took an extra 3 min JUST TO GIVE ME SOME DANG HASH BROWNS.

Totally shocked and stunned that a McDonalds closes at 7pm. Visiting Stratford for 3 nights from Manchester where all McDonalds don’t close before at the earliest 10pm. Pop to McDonalds Stratford at 8pm for an evening snack only to be met by two staff locking up to be told that they close at 7. Unbelievable!!!!!! No doubt COVID is the excuse.

Came for quick breakfast as Premier Inn on reduced menu due to COVID. Typical food as expected. Very clean and well spaced tables. COVID precautions in place.

I deeply upset with mc Donald's today as I had order my food on the machine as normal and put no tomato no gerkins and no onion . As I am allergic to tomatos . I waited for the food to arrive and when my food came it was covered in tomato sauce and gerkins and onions . This is a big mistake and mc Donald's stupidity not to look at orders properly if I would have eaten this without looking I would have been seriously ill. And possible would have required hospital treatment. This is bad service on another level with getting an order wrong and the restaurant not even been busy . philipbrown975@gmail.com

The lady on the door giving out the table tent cards was so professional and gave us some comfort they are covid compliant. Food was hot and fresh

Fui a McDonald's a comprarnos un desayuno para mis amigas y yo. Pedí dos comidas con salchicha y huevo mc McMuffins con una bebida extra. En la caja, hicimos una broma sobre cómo el precio sería tan barato como era el plan de comer fuera.Incluso dije que si tenía que comer para conseguirlo o que podía llevarme la comida y me dijeron que no, no importa. todavía obtendrás el trato. Cuando llegué a casa, mi novia se dio cuenta de que no había tenido mi descuento, que era de aproximadamente 4 libras, lo cual, sinceramente, no me preocupa, así que pensé llamarlos para comprobarlo. Cuando llamé, dijeron que era culpa mía no haber pedido el descuento y, para ser honesto, el gerente en el teléfono fue grosero, incluso se aseguró de saber quién era yo debido a mi voz distintiva (acento) que yo Me pareció grosero cuando le dije sobre un reembolso, dijo que tendría que hacer llamadas a la oficina central para hacerlo, lo cual estoy seguro es una mentira, ya que cualquier otro restaurante simplemente reembolsaría el dinero de la misma manera que una tienda sería como si estuviera haciendo un excusa para no hacerlo. Me pareció que me habían cobrado el precio completo y dijeron que no, por lo que probablemente se embolsaron el dinero pensando que yo no llamaría ni volvería. Entiendo que el plan acaba de llegar, pero estoy seguro de que en un lugar como McDonald's. Se hace automáticamente en la caja. Si me preguntaras, creo que McDonalds es uno de los mejores establecimientos de la ciudad de Stratford - Upon - Avon, si no el mejor. La comida y el ambiente son exquisitos. El único problema con el que me encontré con este en particular es la falta de payasos. Me encantaría pedirles a los trabajadores vestidos de Ronald McDonald. Creo que deberían usar los tradicionales colores rojo, blanco y amarillo que caracterizan a esta cadena con grandes narices chirriantes, los clásicos, originales e inigualables zapatos de payaso y finalmente. Visité este restaurante hace un par de días. . . que un empleado grosero se me acercara y se negara a ayudarme porque era "Nuevo" y dijo que no le importaba que mi hamburguesa 99 p estuviera fría. Sí, entiendo que son lo suficientemente baratos, pero no espero que haga frío. Vamos a nombrarlo y avergonzarlo, su placa de identificación tenía "Luke".

Bill is a real asset to McDonalds in Stratford-upon-Avon - he clearly loves what he does and has an infectious way of making everybody feel good

All I ordered were some cold drinks as we visited Stratford on a hot day. It took several minutes just to get drinks across the counter which was quite disappointing.

Central Stratford upon Avon and handy if you need to grab a quick bite to eat. Clean and easy to find.

Called in on a Friday evening. Used touch screens. Long wait for food but nice when we got it. Chips pretty salty though. Xmas lights in Stratford are really pretty.

Ordered a cheese with bacon. The bacon was stone cold so took it back. Same result 2nd time round. Thmmmmmmmmmmanager spoke to me and I said look can I have my money back as it would be the third attempt

Yes they took our order and yes they gave us exactly what we asked for. However, if the staff were any less interested they would have to be asleep

We brought our grandchildren here as a treat. It wasn't. The floors were dirty with the detritus of other peoples' meals and the tables needed cleaning. We only stayed because we were hungry and the food was as it is in every McDonald's.

This has to be the best located MACCAS in England. Positioned on the edge of The river Avon in Stratford-upon-Avon,this MACCAS isn’t only clean and well staffed,but also serves the finest burgers.

I like the pre-order / prepay facility. However, all I wanted was an ice cream cone - and while it was tasty, it was also the runniest I've ever had - started melting, all over, almost immediately. Perhaps they need to change their formula?

It's the same as any other McD's. It's just handily situated near the theatre for a quick bite to eat. Take it away and eat sitting on the attractive grounds around the theatre and river.

In sheer desperation, my family will sometimes visit either of the two Stratford McDonalds. They never fail to disappoint and to reinforce the view that there is massive social degradation in the the UK, in diet and in employment. The American social influence of McDonalds is a significant negative.

We arrived at Stratford upon Avon on Sunday of a bank holiday weekend and needing food. After trying a couple of restaurants that said they were fully booked, we resorted to McDonalds. It was cheap, the staff were fine and we did not have to wait long. Hubby and I each had a meal deal plus a McFlurry. There were a lot of teenagers in the place, but they were ok and there were games for the little kids to play on. It is not a place that I would hurry back to, but it was ok. One puzzle, why was my Dairy Milk McFlurry 99p and my husband's mint Aero McFlurry £1.39? They were the same size.

A visit to this mcDonalds will confirm your status at the lower end of the consumer strata. That's how I feel when I'm desperate and resort to eating at this particular outlet. More often than not the french fries will be old and soggy and the burger buns rubery. Staff are disinterested at best.

Not very well organised staff wise. Took time for the order to be completed by which time the drinks were Luke warm and fries only warm also.

The food was all right, not overly warm but certainly edible. Perhaps the temperature had something to do with the friendly banter behind the counter, banter which took the place of actually serving but was very well accompanied by movement of paper and reading of screens.

I never usually go here because of the reputation however I wanted to try it out, never thinking that a McDonald's can be that bad.

I am not a great fan of McDonald's but at times needs must. This one did. The tables were clean and the service very quick. Well done to the staff.

Very busy, expected in August, clean and speedy. Stopped for ice cream, standard franchise with some interesting staff members.

Hardly any staff. Very, very dirty. Asked for wrap of the day but was not told what it was. Turned out to be nice but very, very hot.

You know what you are getting at MacDonalds and this one is no different. We had a meal and coffee to go, all hot and no issues at all. Good value for money.

Just fancied a quick snack mid afternoon, the staff were very friendly and in side was clean, good and plenty of seating.

It is OK, but can get very busy. Particularly with people waiting for buses (stop outside) or college kids socialising. Food is standard and have know chips to be bit cool! But good value and service fine.

Purchased a coffee on a Sunday morning. Waited 7 minutes for it to be served. Front of house staff worked ragged! This has happened before on many occasions. Must be in the running for being one of the poorest managed Macs in the country

I went there for a takeaway meal. It was Wednesday evening. Not a living soul inside. I was served immediately and surprisingly did not wait long to get the food. Boy was I in for a surprise. I took the food with me and when I started to eat, the food was not hot at all. I also ordered a drink with no ice. The kid didn't filled it up as normal. Very disappointed visit this time.

The food was hot, the staff were very friendly place was really clean and well presented. We didn’t have to wait long before our food was ready.

Downstairs the service was slow and the staff seemingly disinterested. Upstairs the floors were in desperate need of cleaning to the point where the wet floors could be considered a safety hazard.

Very busy restaurant on the main thoroughfare of town. Service was quick and what you would expect from a fast food restaurant. The overall general cleanliness could have been better. I know it was busy and it is difficult to keep on top of cleaning , but most McDonalds have a staff member who is constantly sweeping and tidying up, I did not see anyone here on the day I visited and it did need that extra care.

We called in here on our way to the theatre because we didn't have long before the performance. Everything about the visit was excellent. We ordered on the touch screens. The food was prepared quickly and was really tasty. The place was clean and the toilets were spotless. Staff were polite and helpful. Excellent all round.

As said by others, a generic place, I don't frequent the McDonalds chain, however every time I do I ask for decaffeinated tea or coffee. Up to yet a chain as big as McDonald's do not serve anything decaffeinated. As I can't take caffeine I just requested a cup of hot water.( It is December and I was cold so didn't want a cold drink)couldn't believe when I looked at my receipt and she charged me for tea..when I asked she said it was policy to charge for tea for a cup of hot water!! Why can't McDonalds serve decaf drinks. Only need to nip to asda and get a box of tea bags. Surely not a lot to ask. Most places now serve decaf.

Entrance is in two ways in downtown Stratford and both are constantly busy! No wonder for the " M"serves the real stuff - not instant which seems to be accepted in too many places, high or common!

Popped in for a quick refill, very slow service, was a Sunday mid morning. Tables and area was clean and tidy. Food was warm once served, not hot!

We went a walk round Stratford just for potter later in the evening.Itbwas about 10.30pmband we thought we would pop in for a an.We shared 6chicken nuggets and had a small fries and a cuppa each.It was really quiet in there,having been a lot busier earlier,we were told.Asked for the chips to be unsalted,and this was not a problem.The food was enjoyable and hot.

Just poorly heated up & slow service considering was almost empty. Over crispy nuggets too. Plenty of other places in which to eat so my advice is go elsewhere.

Usual McDonalds items and prices which make this a good place to get a quick, cheap bite. Also handy for toilet facilities.

Last few times I've been here the service has been terrible both in store and drive thru. With that you can guarantee the food will be cold. On top of that ... never an apology!

It had taken too long to order as we were first in line. The table tops at seating where we sat were sticky and needed cleaning. Over all the atmosphere was less than cheery. Ronald McDonald would have been sad.

We popped in today for a couple of coffees and were met with a lovely young man who served us. He was friendly, smiley and knowledgeable. He made our visit 100 times better.

Ordered coffee and then stood waiting around in a group for someone to shout out my order was ready. Those placing orders didn't know which line or group had ordered, which wanted to order etc so a bit chaotic around the counter. There is one disabled toilet by the counter but the other toilets are up several flights of stairs. Coffee was hot and cheap but not sure it was worth the hassle.

I am just getting back into the habit of writing my reviews when I remembered I vowed to review this place. It was around Christmas time at 6.30pm, it was cold and the atmosphere outside in the market was just amazing. However, we stopped in for some chicken nuggets, a chicken wrap meal and something else that my auntie ordered for herself. I must say that the food was cold and the staff were rude (however I do recognise that it was a little busy). Overall would I recommend? No. Though saying that, a lot of people believe this to be a good McDonalds so maybe it is worth a try.

Very busy place as you can imagine. Staff can hardly cope. Used the screens to order and left to eat elsewhere. Usually McDonald's with an unusual layout. Overall good.

Plenty of parking. Clean interior /exterior, service quick, plenty of seating inside and out. Usual value for money.

I called in for a cappuccino, a nice coffee it was. Right in the centre of Stratford. The coffee was fine. They also have those new ordering screens at McDonalds, although it was not so busy I went to the till. It was clean and tidy and all pleasant enough. I will return. The trip for a loo wee to the top of the building was very high up three floors or so, funny, in the attic. A nice restaurant anyway. I had just come back from the Butterfly Farm and was walking around the town.

The 5 stars refers to the coffee. After sampling many outlets in Stratford we have decided that McDonald's gives the best value and a consistently good product (and not served scalding hot).

I have been going here for years, as liked by my grandchildren. It has improved and may be a bit faster, as you now give your order and then go to a collection point. I feel the staff do their best, but bearing in mind this is Stratford upon Avon, with so many tourists, I do think it could be improved. The food is OK, but can sometimes be a bit cool. The eating tables and seats are all very basic and - after school - packed out with loud and scruffy youngsters. (THe bus stop is just outside.) I guess OK for a quick and cheap meal, but very basic stuff, which could be made a much more enjoyable experience.

i was surprised how scruffy this branch was considering we were in stratford.There was tissues on the floor and also general rubbish aswell.Food was as normal .... nice.

Absolutely a disgrace. Was out for a walk with my children as 1 has not been fell and been in hospital. He wanted a milkshake. So we went in and got him a milkshake and my other children food. He had a funny turn so had to rush him to the toilets. When coming down the stairs i got 2 condoms thrown on us from what i can say the huge youth club upstairs. I was obviously angry and went to the food desk and asked for a manager, explained what happened. He then went upstairs did nothing at all then walked past the condoms which was still on the floor whilst some of the young lads started arguing with me in front of my children. There was no management that seemed to care, we got no apology and can honestly say i don't know who would want to eat in that establishment because its a disgrace.

This McDonald's has a rather strange lay out because there are 2 entrances depending on which street you are on. There seems to be 3 floors and the food is served on floor 2.

Really well situated for the Royal ShakespeareTheatre but they will not appreciate you carrying in a take out. As a key location for the McDonald chain this is a high standard outlet. The classic Mc Donald sign has been modified to fit in with the rest of the street.

McDonald's è comunque e sempre una garanzia. In qualsiasi parte del mondo si vada, puoi star certo che uno standard minimo sarà assicurato e qui, a Stratford, lo standard qualitativo è più che mantenuto. Situato in pieno centro, è animato da tanti ragazzi. Chiude nella tarda serata, uno dei locali più "nottambuli" della cittadina

This Mc donalds has a shakespearean slant. To be eating a big mac or a quarter pounder' - That is the question!!

It's McDonalds... McDonalds food, McDonalds decor, McDonalds staff... all the same as any other McDonalds except the Queues are usually longer and some things (McFlurrys) are more expensive 'because it's Statford'

We were a bit confused as not used to this system of ordering. But service was fairly quick No queues to order, only for collecting food/drink Found empty table despite everyone running in from the awful weather. Can't complain.

Small section open and everyone in small area very cramped and this is the only tablet working the only toilet available is the disabled downstairs

I was given the orders Find somewhere to eat that's not extortionate .Walking down Bridge Street in Stratford Upon Avon I seen our destination and texting the wife I said walk down the street and I will have ordered food/drink .

Bog standard Maccy D, reasonably clean , staff that just grunt and struggle to understand everyone so as I said a standard MC D's. Gets very busy during peak seasons due to the high level of tourism in the area so bare this in mind as you may have to wait a while to be served.

Last Sunday we visited Stratford. It was very busy so we decided to eat in McDonalds, rather than a proper restaurant. The first thing that stood out about this place is that it is set out over four levels. We entered from the river side, which is the bottom level. You then have to go upstairs to be served. We went up to the next level to eat, and after, used the toilet which is on the fourth floor. There is a disabled toilet on the second level. Although it was very busy, we only waited approximately three minutes for our food which was hot and fresh. The only thing they had missed was milk for our tea. It was pretty clean, although the tables took a long time to be cleared. One of the few cheap places to eat, in a very expensive town.

Normally i wouldnt think of reviewing macdonalds but in a town like Stratford where a lot of cafes seem over priced it is good that their are. Afew places where you can still buy a cheapish be it an unexciting snack.

This McDonalds is right in the centre of Stratford opposite from the park, river and close to the theatre.

Nothing special, same generic colours and layout as any McDonalds. staff friendly, cleaner keeping thinks tidy so not an issue with cleanliness. Does get very busy during term time with children mainly meaning knowhere to sit.

We only went here because we couldn't find any other place to eat, the food was horrible, as you should expect from ANY McDonalds. ((SALT))

Hungry child, immediate satisfaction. Clean and quick. Love the McFlurrys. Not too keen on the new system for ordering and pick up though.

Visited mid afternoon and as usual for Mcdonalds there was a steady stream of customers. We preordered via the new electronic ordering points and waited for our food. A big mac and one of the promotional Tennessee burgers. One would assume the burgers are made to order . Food arrived fairly promptly only waited a few mins. Chips were nice and hot but my Tennessee burger was luke warm. It was basically nothing like the photo, two burgers , with stonecold fatty streaky bacon a bit of lettuce and sauce. I left the bacon it looked so unappetising. The big mac was cold and was returned and a replaced with a hot one. I love an occasional Mcdonalds but will not visit this particular one again.

Usually I just don't review McDonalds, but this is a clever set up with entrances on two streets, is discreet within it's Tudor context, and is remarkably fast. All of the pubs I walked past were crowded and looked slow (and I was by myself); this fast McDonalds was a perfect answer. I've never been to a faster one. The only thing I would say it to keep the table tops and condiment bars a bit tidier. I can't understand why this place isn't in Trip Advisor yet, as my wife remembered it from a college tour she took decades ago!
