Good selection of plates to choose from. The bison burger and chicken fried steak are good choices as are the onion rings and their signature house salad - the best salad anywhere - with blanched veggies. Soft serve ice cream for dessert!

Stopped here for dinner before a show at Red Rocks. Very laid back, diner type atmosphere. Sat outside and watched folks walking by on the path by the creek. Server was great and was kind enough to get our order in before a party of 12. The guacamole was excellent as a starter. I got a turkey sandwich with pepper jack, caramelized onions, jalapenos on grilled sourdough. My wife had a grilled ham and apple with cheddar cheese. Both sandwiches were awesome. The fries are a really great style that's hard to explain...kind of the size of a waffle fry, but not with the lattice cut. Anyway, a great spot, excellent food and a good value!

Used to eat here all the time pre-COVID, back when it was called ‘the Purple Cow’z The food (then) was much better than my most recent experience at ‘the Cow’. First thing; they’ve expanded, and the food has suffered significantly. I ordered the French dip and my lunch partner ate a salad. Not complicated! However, our meal took over 45 minutes to be served. The hot sandwich arrived cold tasted like it’d been pulled from a freezer and microwaved. I was told that the salad was also gross tasting. Over the course of the hour and a half we were there, we had three different servers - all of whom forgot at least one thing in our non-complicated order. Eating in the main dining area, it was clear that (young, HS-aged) staff really only cared about laughing, goofing-off and having a good time. Didn’t pay attention to any of the guests, including our table. The whole experience spoiled our opinion of The Cow and we’ll likely not return. Ended up spending like $60 on three entrees and a drink. Way too pricey for such low-quality food and poor service.

Delicious food and ice cream in a scenic and friendly venue. Easy to walk around town eating ice cream, or sit down and grab a meal and a delicious cup of chai. I had the stroganoff and it didn't blow my mind, but I cleaned my plate easily ( and it was big portions). We spent $35+ each, getting chai, soda, entrees, and ice cream.

Ventured in here after visiting Red Rocks basically because we found an open spot in their parking lot. Good fortune for us since we then proceeded to have the best meal of our long weekend trip to Denver. The Summit sandwich was superior (ask for some extra horseradish). The french fries are actually potato wedges that were crispy deliciousness. Our server Sam from Chandler, AZ was excellent. Don't know if we'll ever make our way back but if we ever travel to the area again we will make a point to visit The Cow - An Eatery again!.

I wouldn't listen to the positive reviews on this place. The major issue was the food. It was almost like everything was rubber. I ordered the chicken fried steak, fairly standard quality but stingy on the gravy. The scrambled eggs were bland and rubbery. I ordered cube potatoes and got hash which were overcooked. I also got pancakes that were rubbery and practically inedible with the cheap corn syrup they serve, unless you opt for the $2 tiny container of real maple syrup. I never would leave any pancake unfinished and I couldn't finish this pancake, it was that bad. My wife had the famous breakfast burrito and it was also as if the meat was cooked then boiled to reheat. The service was inattentive and not personable or inviting. Atmosphere was loud and cramped. I would recommend eating outside if possible to avoid the noise, if you choose to eat here at all. I'm not looking for a quiet dining experience, but this was basically listening to your neighbors' table yelling. Our server took a while to bring a mediocre, bland premix bloody Mary and forgot my water with it. She did offer to bring something else after my wife said the food was not great, but this was after we got our check. I'm always apprehensive accepting new food after complaining about food, and out of belief the food would probably be the same quality as these dishes. Hate to leave a negative review as I'm sure this establishment has been a staple of Morrison but this was a bad experience, and seems to be in line with the other low Star reviews recently. Not sure who gives this a 5 star, but I would recommend IHOP or Denny's over this. I've only left less than a 5 Star review if something was just that bad. This was that bad.

I had the stuffed green chiles for lunch. Very tasty. Busy place -very loud.

A great little local restaurant near Red Rocks. Try some of their dairy products if you get a chance. The goat cheese on my salad was yummy and creamy. Good food and service all around.

Great spot to stop by for breakfast after a hike at Red Rocks. Very close drive from the hike and it seems to be very popular. We waited about 5 minutes to get seated. Nothing fancy about the food, which is expected from a diner. The food is just good and very filling. Both of us were very hungry after visiting Red Rocks and this place was just what we needed. Highly recommended

Sam was amazing! Really took care of us and is very outgoing and connects well with customers. The food is also amazing! And the atmosphere around the area is phenomenal. The area is right next to a river and let’s be honest any restaurant in the mountains is always peaceful and just gives you a good feeling. Love this place and will always comes back! This place appears to be good but really isn’t. Their online order is apparently the best way to order food from there and it DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. Then when you call them to make the order on the phone, no answer at all. They are lucky that there are very few options in this area and people have little choice but to use them.

Not impressed at all! Loud and noisy! Was seated by waiter station, slamming plates, having to almost yell to order food. Customers rude and noisy, wait staff doesn't do anything like yell shut up! Overpriced, uncomfortable, waitress had attitude. Food eventually made me sick too! This place sucks! Regardless of what others say, it sucks! Not returning except to watch it burn down!

Great food with awesome service with a smile. I've been on a chicken fried steak kick and the steak here is good with gravy. The homemade biscuit put it over the top. I would recommend if you are in the area.

I was passing through and googled "Best breakfast place in the area" and this is the restaurant that popped up. Google was spot on accurate. I'm super glad I stopped in after hiking. I was seated immediately, drinks were given immediately, my order was taken immediately and while the food wasn't immediate, it wasn't a long wait by any stretch. The hot sauces were all solid, the wait staff was top notch and the food was well seasoned and made my morning. The wait staff stopped by multiple times (despite the outdoor dining area being full and busy) to make sure I didn't need anything else and to refill my coffee. If you're passing through, I recommend stopping here...if you can get parking!

Homey, cozy, nice folks, best corned beef hash I ever ate

Great place for breakfast in downtown Morrison. Parking in the area is tough and their lot is small. We waited 55 minutes for a table but was meeting people to talk so didnt care. Food was great. Enjoyed everything we all ordered. Breakfast burritos, pancakes and French toast.

The atmosphere was great! Super cute place and sitting outside was lovely with the nice weather and very clean. However, I am only giving the service a 2 because our waitress (girl in black spandex with red and blonde hair) was very rude, not only to us but to the kind, blonde haired woman that was the hostess as well. The 2nd star is because the hostess was so sweet. The food did take 45 minutes, but we ordered lunch at 11:10, so it is a bit understandable. But the food was super good and I would definitely recommend this place as a great meal after a hike in Mount Falcon Park! :)

I have been coming here for the last few years and this is the worst and rudest I have experienced. I have also recommended this place to a lot of people. I am very upset about this experience. I even brought a new friend here today.

Beautiful atmosphere. We went in late June, but it wasn't too warm. The service was very friendly and our food was delivered quickly. None of us were impressed with the food.

What a find of a place we really enjoyed our lunch here. Had the homemade potato chips and the Gyro burger with bison. Others had the French dip and Ruben. Bread can be gluten free. They also serve ice cream and shakes. Definitely visit this place if you’re in the area.

My friend and I both ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with grilled chicken (instead of fried, it costs extra) and without buffalo sauce. When the food arrived, we both received fried chicken and no buffalo sauce. We mentioned this to the staff and they took our wraps back to fix them! When they returned, the wraps had grilled chicken (good) but were filled with buffalo sauce (bad). The staff never returned to our table until check time. I didn’t eat the wrap as I have a VERY low tolerance for spicy food :(

Good food except sandwiches ... philly chease steak is bad

Food was okay but very stingy on the meat and eggs in my omelet. I ordered it based on seeing another customer 's order expecting a very large portion. After she was done eating, she got up and started working. Apparently, employees get better portions than customers. I guess that's to be expected. However, I asked my waitress if all the omelets were that large, she said "yes". Mine was nothing near that one. I left a bit hungry.

Had a really good burger. The service was great, even though the place was very busy. I look forward to going back!

Cute little food stop the food was delicious and they're seated right alongside the river so it's nice and shady and you can hear the river and feel the cool breeze off it. The food was good as well reasonably priced with many options we went during brunch and I definitely recommend the chicken and waffles they serve it with regular syrup and their own house made hot honey it was very good

The staff was amazing and the cook makes it seem easy. We ordered fried fish and chips and it was done to perfection. The buffalo wrap all though it may seem easy he toasted the wrap and made it even better than any other wrap I have had. This place is a must go. Look at the view 😃

Ventured into Morrison for a little break on our drive back to Vegas and we obviously had to stop at The Cow! I ordered the fried mushrooms (delicious!) and the kids fish and chips plate. Serving was perfect for lunch; with one large piece of fish and handful of chips, I was pleased! My girlfriend ordered the steak sliders (added avocado per the servers suggestion) and she enjoyed those as well. Steak was tender and the rolls were soft. Also, they make some damn good lattes! 10/10. Will be stopping by again when traveling through colorado. Dog friendly**** Roscoe (in the picture!) is up for adoption!

Great place to get cow based food and sides. I had the sliders and my family had burgers. The fries and onion rings are the way to go. Tots are nice but the fries are awesome. The atmosphere is chill. Expect to wait five to ten minutes if it looks busy, the turn over is quick. Food comes out quick. They won't rush you if you'd like to chill. Prices are perfect. Bathroom is clean. Water is clear and tastes good. Gotta have a shake!

The crispy brussel sprouts were the best my wife has found in her year-long search for sprout satisfaction! I love a good steak sandwich, and it was. But the fries were amazing. Very nice folks moving a lot of food for a lot of folks, but still took time to answer my dairy-free questions. We'll be back for more anytime we're in the area.

I have been here 6 days in a row. Here's what you need to know. Service quality is 100% dependent on the sheer volume of customers in the dining room, patio and the outside ice cream window. If it's just two of you, best service is inside and the bar counter. If with a family, it's longer waits for table and you must be patient. The people are super nice, but they are busy from 1100 AM to about 200 PM. The patio is nice but longer for food runners. THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT and their ice cream is STUPID GOOD TOO. You won't regret the visit. Just remember this is a tourist trap town and parking is a pain during peak times and holidays (Spring/Summer) for sure. My favorite is the Sam Wrap - buffalo chicken wrap, which is insane. The burgers rock and though I HATE brussel sprouts, their twist on the side is so darn good.

Definite with a stop to have the fried mushrooms and ice cream.

Took a group of IDD clients we talked to the young lady before we sat down she assured us it was ok for our clients to have their lunches as we were also ordering. After sitting & ordering drinks Chad came and said we couldnt sit there as we are not paying customers which i explained we were all ordering he insisted we sat in front & said he would get the umbrellas, he then came & said no umbrella was available. We sat in the hot sun & still ordered over $90. I am very upset that Chad would throw out customers.

Food is good here, but Morrison gives out $100 parking tickets. Morrison should be avoided at all costs.

When I checked in, which I was never told to do but figured it would be best, I’m guessing this is when you say I altered my reservation which I didn’t, your hostess never said a time. The other waitlist time you have me, the same exact thing happened. I’m letting others know that they shouldn’t believe the wait time given to them on weekends. Thanks. -Waited 1.5 hours after being told 30 minutes. Food was okay.

I don’t usually leave reviews but I had such a excellent experience this morning that I want to share. Not only was the food outstanding but the service was truly exceptional. Everyone working at the restaurant is friendly, positive and hard working. The food was delicious and high quality. It’s also right next to a beautiful river. Can’t recommend this restaurant enough. I absolutely plan to come back. If you go, say hello to Preacher and Anna, both of whom are wonderful!!

We stopped in for lunch while exploring Morrison. Food was great, they do the team service model so we never had to wait long. Anyone in a Cow shirt is your server. We even left a water bottle behind and when we returned the following day it was there and labeled with our table number and time of dining! Thanks so much!

I had the fish and chips, and it was excellent. It's probably the best I've ever eaten. Even though I live in Aurora, I will make the trip back to eat there again. The service was wonderful also. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable of the items on the menu.

Staff was very friendly. Very welcoming to kids. Food was good and it was lovely to be by the water. Burger was good. Brie mango app was delish. I appreciate that there are interesting options and the kids fruit bowl was loaded.

This is the first time I have been to The Cow, and I loved it! The only thing I would tell people is to try to go when it is not the peak hours because it was quite busy and we had to wait a while. That said the food was great, the service was excellent and we will definitely be going back

Some of the best food that I’ve ever had in Morrison! All of the staff were kind and extremely helpful. We had the emerald scramble and the angry cow which were both delicious.

Wow! 5 stars isn’t enough. We were greeted by the most friendly gentleman, and when we told him it was my daughter’s birthday he made the experience so memorable. Not to mention, the food 😍 phenomenal. We’ll be back!

Parking is hard to find in the little lot next to the restaurant but we were sat right away and ordered a 1/2 lb burger to split and a cup of pork green chile each, which came with a big warm tortilla on the side. The burger was cooked just right and the chile had the perfect amount of salt and spice! I wish the fries had been a bit crispier but beyond that,very satisfied with our meal!

Avocado toast was lacking a lot, just not that great. They have other unique breakfast dishes and I would definitely try again.
