Stopped at magor service's McDonald's for takeaway breakfast at 10.30 16/3/25 only to find I only had half a cup of coffee when I left the service's not good McDonald's get your act together.

It was breakfast time everyone was rushing around

The staff don’t use gloves they make the food in a disgusting way

Typically McDonald's. We stopped in for breakfast and the food was as you would expect at pretty much any uk McDonald's. However it was well staffed and they were all working hard. Even though it was very busy the time from making my order to the food being served was very reasonable. The chap that served us was polite and offered milk, sugar etc so it would be a motorway stop that I would use again.

It's very good for a service station and fair pricing too. Great wheelchair access also.

Went in with my son yesterday morning for breakfast during a long drive to visit family. We asked a staff member if we could buy a happy meal toy for him (too early to order a happy meal), I think he may have been the manager, tall guy, very friendly. He brought out my son 2 different colour sonic the hedgehog toys and let him have both, then didn't charge me for either. Just wanted to say you cheered him up yesterday, so thank you very much. Cheers

As far as McDonalds goes this is a good one. Tables are maintained by the service station not McDonalds themselves. It's a busy place and some times the waits are long but I'm not sure they can do anything about that. It's just a busy service station and this is the main food service there.

Ordered take out for 2, quick and efficient service. *Paper straws with milkshakes are the worst thing McDonald's ever invested in, maybe swap out the plastic lids for card, and bring back the plastic straws.

Very slow, half the tills didn't work and the tables were not cleaned. Food was OK, typical McDonald's.

Hamburger came dry with no sauce or anything. Second time it came burnt with a little bit of ketchup. Cheeseburger tasted like a rustlers burger from the microwave. I actually don't know how this is possible... Employees didn't care, manager didn't care, no one cared really?

Very good, fast service even when busy

Very fast service made even faster when using the app. Just a pity that the prices are higher than the one a few miles down the motorway. I guess that's the price for being a services site.

My favorite place for coffee, I always stop by for a quick coffee or sandwich when I'm going to the airport, everything's fine all the time

The food was served very fast. That's really fast, but this cost how it looks when you unwrap it - total mess. When you look at it, you lose your appetite and hunger 😒

I stopped off for a coffee late at night on my way home to London. It's a convenient stop at the Welsh end of the Severn Bridge. Not busy, the coffee was OK. Nothing on the menu that I fancied at night. How I wish they would bring back the Sundae with Caramel sauce.

Genuinely the best McDonald’s I have had. Big Mac warm and well put together. Fries crispy and well seasoned.

Incorrect food given. Food was over cooked and old as if previously prepared.

Poor attitude, slow service (painfully slow even with restaurant empty) asked to speak with manager and he was next to useless and lacked any empathy for the 25min wait with only 5 items in the list of preparing - just fobbed it off as well I'm short staffed so nothing I can do - pathetic. Has gone downhill massively since the fit out

Always disappointed by this McDonalds but keep coming back as it's been on my way. Chips always cold and burgers not much better. Friendly staff though!

Service is slow as its a services, so always busy, food is cheap, you get what you pay for, atmosphere is normally quite loud with lots going on in restaurants and coffee stores near it.

I haven't eaten this kind of food in a long time but was forced into it as we're we travelling long distance and not much else was open. Admittedly the food was good but the chicken bun I had was very small for the money..

So they don't salt the chips! But you can ask for salt and I was really impressed that I got to choose my own Grinch toy . 52 year old kicks off about happy meal 😆 burger great x

Just your standard service station McDonald's. Can't complain. Food was good, tables were clean, nuggets were crisp. Not much more you can ask for.

It's a Maccas, in a service station, on the M4, there's no way to glamourise it. Having said that, food was quick and did the job.

McDonald’s at Magor Services, M4 Stopped by the McDonald’s at Magor Services on the M4, and overall, the experience was positive. The food was tasty and prepared well, living up to the standard you’d expect from McDonald’s. However, one small issue stood out—the bread for the Sausage & Egg McMuffin was noticeably smaller compared to the filling. While the sausage and egg were perfectly cooked and flavorful, the tiny bread made the sandwich feel a bit unbalanced. It didn’t quite hold everything together as it should, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the service was quick, and the rest of the meal was enjoyable. If they could adjust the bread-to-filling ratio, it would make the meal even better. Still, a convenient and satisfying stop for a quick bite on the go!

Kitchen and tables not cleaned for a long time bins overflowing and the food was wrong and the duty manger said it was all my fault

Cold burgers, unsalted chips, skimpy chocolate in the Flurries. Shame. Service varies on the day and time.

Visited today only ordered the mini hash browns and Coke picked up order from drive through hash browns cold so returned to indoor counter to complain said they were cold and ask for warm ones ,staff said what do you expect it's only 3 degrees outside and you have brought them across carpark .This I believe was a case of staff needing to do their job properly and provide good customer service perhaps macdonald need to put some customer care training into place .won't be visiting Pontypool macdonald again

Good example of the franchise, well presented and up to high street standard with seating area that is beneficially set aside. A welcome break.

Without fail, every time I order, something is wrong. Ask for no sauce and you get no salad or cheese... Not just this branch, it seems McDonald's self service machines don't send the right instructions to the kitchen. I avoid McDonald's now, especially since the price has gone up over the years and the food has gone down.

Would not eat here chemically tread potatoes cardboard burgers that do not decay.

Ordered 1x coffee, stood and waiting for 25 minutes, my order number never got called. I approached the desk and was ignored three times before seeing my coffee almost be given to another customer to which I exclaimed “is that order 70”, the server nodded, slammed it on the counter infront of me and turned away without a word. Terrible service. Staff don’t know they’re arse from they’re elbow.

Staff were friendly but however I had to wait for SO LONG just to get my food. Worst part? They forgot my drinks, so I had to walk ALL THE WAY BACK to the McDonald's just to get my drinks. The tables were messy, that also goes for the chairs. Very messy. I never expected this from McDonald's. The receipt printer on the self service machine was BROKEN. They even forgot to put bacon in my bacon big Mac. Food was tasty tho and staff were friendly. I'm never going here again.

Update number 2 .... Nov 2024 Service was dreadful, no napkins or sugars, fries were cold and the chicken wrap had a funny taste to it, though as it was cold that could have been the reason??!! It wasnt busy either so maybe thats why it was cold ? Service was terrible, the server was really miserable. Update 2nd Dec 2022. Still no milkshakes and you could only buy the more expensive burgers / chicken burgers / chicken selects as a meal , but what if you don't want fries !! ***************************************** Terrible place, no food choices, only chicken burgers !! The photo shows to options that were available to us. Update ... 26/8/22 still a limited choice but now has beef / chicken burgers , selects and nuggets but not all menu choices were available. The touch screen ordering system wasn't giving out receipts so had to remember your order number, takeaway option was the only choice. The screen that showed you your order progress wasn't working so you had to assume your order went through. Always check your order before leaving , I had no receipt to show what I had ordered but on checking the bag I was short in my order by a big mac, the staff member quickly rectified this when notified.

Shocking service, food that looked like it had been put together by throwing it from one side of the kitchen to the other. Miserable staff.

Consistently disappointed by magor services mc Donald’s. It’s my closest mc Donald’s and the food takes a while to come on a good day, don’t even bother on a weekend. My food has rarely ever come out hot and is almost cold by the time you get to your car to eat it. Two tables in the whole mc Donald’s to sit at to eat and despite ques being big and wait times long, staff never seem in a hurry….

Why is food in the Uk so bad? Our food was cold, and chicken wrap was without sauce! I have noticed that Mcdonald lately is not paying attention to preparing good tasty food.

Great staff. A bit busy during weekends and rush ours. If it's a holiday do not park here. It's close to toilet. Order first, then go to toilet. Plenty parking as this is a roadside station.

I got a big Mac meal with no onions with diet coke the burgers and chips were the same temperature as the coke obviously no one is checking whether the food is hot. It gets one star for looking like food.

McDonald's is your average fast food restaurant, fast food and not very good for you, taste is bang average and is easy food when on the go. Most McDonald's have friendly staff however can be rude when rushed, but when you have that many orders to fill can you blame them.

Fillet of fish was super thin just batter almost.

Popped in as on way home from the Gower. Decided to get a bite to eat rather than cook in the evening once home. Food was OK, hot, and tasted fine.
