Pretty decent. Quick service and food was ok.

Burgers had been cooked a long time before they were served so where very dry.

Don't usually visit. Only went as it was early hours of the morning and it was convenient. Don't recommend burger, tastelless

The place was not serving anything as they had a system failure, couldn't give me a estimate of what time likely open again. Grrr

Quick and easy food at services. Drinks machine wasn't working so limited selection available. Small sitting area but was late in evening so quiet to find a seat anyway.

Want here on Saturday around 5, waiting 10 minutes for our food, but was very disappointed with how they served it to us, as first they messed up the order then they decided to put our drinks in happy meal boxes (there was cupholders available) but as soon we left the drinks started to leak out in the boxes, we had Carry the drinks by hand including EVERYTHING ELSE! This is all because of ONE member of staff, but this is not the first time this has happened here. 😡 Highly recommend to check your order before leaving.

Mcdonalds, innit. Can get super busy and very hectic at seemingly random time, but such is the wonder of motorway services.

Only called in for coffee, very clean and comfortable, nice atmosphere

Service was very slow. Orders placed well after ours were repeatedly served first. Unpleasant and frustrating wait in queue.

First place to stop coming in to Wales

Ordered here and the forgot our order and we had to wait 30 minutes just for our food had to get a fresh drink and to top it off the hot chocolate machine wasn't even working had to go to costa for the drink

It says on Google it's open 24 hours but we were told it was closed when we came to get food after a gig at 23:30? Why say open 24 hours if it isn't? Lame

Honestly the worst McDonald's I have ever had the pleasure of visiting, multiple times after 9pm they just give up and shut. Can count at least 5 times in past 2months I've stopped to get food and it's always same excuse 'tills are down or cookers aren't working' yet the one time a staff member was serving himself up a meal. Joke of a place

Level of cleanliness left a lot to be desired

Placed a small order at self service kiosk, kept saying transaction failed even before I could make a payment so chose the option to pay at counter. They served an elderly group at the service counter then it was left unattended for ages. In the end I gave up & left. There were plenty of staff behind the counter but none of them made any effort to see if anyone wanted to be served or make payment at the counter.

The food was very hot and arrived very quickly. I'm not used to that speed at a service station. Well done.

It's a fast-food takeaway It's okay if you want a quick bite but is getting very expensive.

Very long waiting time for the order. Many people who ordered later received their order earlier. In addition, the order was not complete, there was no sauce, which can only be had when ordering halloumi fries. The fries were tasty and even warm, but the burger was put together haphazardly.

Very hit an miss for this place. Sometimes in and out within 5 minutes other times lucky if your served your food after 20 minutes of waiting. Not a staff issue because there are plenty of them on site. It's a management issue. Too busy have conversations with the staff to notice the order screen. On this visit a manager was sorting my order, knocked something on the floor, dropped my half assembled order in the food holding area and proceeded to pick up all things that had fallen onto the floor. Then once that was complete, finished off my order and served me. Priorities need to be addressed here.

Machines nor printing receipts or giving order numbers, My order was then given away to the wrong person and I then was given two orders also not mine. Asked for a refund which was given but no apology or sympathy what so ever.

We have visited this McDonalds several times over the last six months and every time the service is appalling, the self service tills never seem to produce receipts with order numbers, so you still have to queue up again to get the order number, the queue times are incorrect because by the time your order is on the screen to be collected they take it off as collected before the order is even ready, to keep their timings down! The food is sub par at best, and they forgot part of our order , luckily we hadn't driven off and when I went in to complain I didn't even get an apology, the staff we disinterested at best, I will NEVER eat their again! And pity anyone who goes their in the future! SHAME on you McDonald's , you should know better!

Good food as always in McDonald's but problem with the internet so card machines where down causing abit of trouble.

Wouldn't print out our receipt so had to guess my food order number, as screen malfunctioned.. other than that, no issues

You pay what you pay and the missing product order is not respected

Its a mcdonalds. Its easy and quick. Though the ordering POS did crash on me, the staff did there best to explain and rectify quickly.

Whatever you order never looks like the picture! Does it!!! Everything is definitely getting smaller! And if I wanted salt on my fries, I'd put it on! No soft drinks that aren't full of disgusting sweeteners!

The road chef services is the first place to stop when you go over the Severn bridge into Wales. It's a good place to stop for breakfast if you've had an early start. The staff are very helpful and it's not that busy first thing in the morning.

Oh dear. Our order was missing 3 items, had the wrong burger and then the brownie was out of date. Maybe the huge crowd of 5 customers caused stress behind the counter..... They did apologise each time I had to go back to the counter though.

Fast food places are often impersonal in atmosphere.. here was no exception. MaccyD's food, IMO, is probably the worst food for quality and for one's health, but among the better fast foods for quick and satisfying food.. here was no exception. The forecourt was kept pretty clean considering there had been a coach-load of people just swarm through. Not my ideal eatery place, but, filled a gap and left me feeling happier. Drawback - motorway service prices !!

Clean and tidy food was hot not like some

A McDonalds like any other. Served by a very friendly young man. Sometimes that bit of friendliness makes a huge difference to a generic experience though.

Food cooked to order at 10pm. Service was mehh called number and left on the counter. Dirty tables and the floor of the cooking/prep area littered with food.

Very busy with long queues But fills a hole whilst out and about .

I been in this service station twice a week and a never have milkshake or ice cream from the menu, doesn't matter if it is day or night they are never solde them ,always item avaliable, I was ask staff why is like that they said cos they are very busy and ice cream and milkshake take long time to do....and cleary like 5 other member standing hiding in corners and don't do anything. What is the point?😒

Huge Que took long to get food definitely not fast food this time

ordered via App and not for the first time items missing from order.

Chips/fries were soggy. Burger didnt taste like a burger. Nuggets were over cooked. Sprite was ok though. All McDonalds seem to have a problem issuing reciepts for your order. Theres always a printer issue.

Standard experience for a motorway service station

This was my first McDonald’s outside the US and what an ordering adventure! I wasn’t prepared for all the additional self order options, so it was a bit overwhelming, tbh. I went with a Big Mac and the sauce tastes a bit different, the relish is tangy-er than in the US. I loved the cheese bites and the chive dip, bit strong, but still yummy. I was sad I couldn’t use my McDonald’s points, that it’s not a global app, but the more you know!

Very disappointing to arrive onsite to find there are no cold drinks (no fizzy, no milkshake, no bottles of milk ect)! Really McDonalds?! So left and went down to other site on Chepstow Rd, Newport NP18 2NX, they had everything, AND THEY ARE CHEAPER

Drinks machine was not working, standard McDonald's, normal price.

On this trip I was served very quickly and the food was piping hot!

Had a lovely encounter with one of the managers when I walked my dog into the restaurant, we were made to feel very welcome.

Dined in however they give you a takeaway bag regardless

The food wasn't great in fairness... cold hash brown and the muffin was stale......

This was messy, food was cold staff were kicking rubbish around the floor and not picking it up, front of store was no different! Hope to see improvement.

None of the self serve machines had printer paper. Witnessed the manager pour out chips from pre filled cartons on the chip rack before putting them into bags. Spoiler alert my large fries were basically a small.

Went here with my cousin and he got a breckfast as he went on self serving and I got told I wasn't aloud as I only had cash I didn't get a sausage egg mc muffin well bad start to the day I was like 30 seconds away from buying the meal I feel I should of been served a breakfast meal as they was still preparing the morning food for other customers such as my cousin who I came in with who paid by card had to get a triple and fries not happy.

It's a services, so you know the food is going to be average at best.

Its a MacDs without the fun of going to a proper high street one.

Just ordered the "Big and Cheesy with Bacon at the desk ( with an employee). Asked for no lettuce or onions. Burger was served to me (take-away) in good time. However, while eating this on the M4 heading East I was surprised to find onions ( by now embedded in the melted cheese) and the added surprise of a very long brown hair!!!!! H and S clearly not followed correctly at this fast food outlet. Disgusting

Go with 3 orders planned because the first 2 will be out of stock... Repeatedly....

Never had any mistakes on any order I made, it gets mad busy but still quite organised so I can't fault it really. Brilliant McDonalds.

Used public services here and then daughter was hungry. Super fast from ordering to getting

There is no paper in the self order booth to show food ordered and paid for. Otherwise, alright. Chips were cold.

This visit very late food was hot and well presented.

Cheap and reasonably quick at the tills

Grim as usual. Had a triple cheeseburger which was as poor as ever you'd expect. Had the worst bacon sandwich I've ever had, truly an insult to the great name of bacon. Stop using streaky, back bacon is where it's at.

Always value for money. Not the most healthiest, but affordable.

When it's busy, like yesterday, the show collapses. Food is mushy and rushed, hence wasting time and money. Delivery in the carpark always wrong in so many ways.

Usual affair..the photo shows a luscious burger with moist green lettuce and ripe tomatoes bursting out of the bun over a bronzed burger. .what you get resembles a mushy mess with a tiny piece of anaemic pale yellow lettuce the size of a stamp. It's tasted good and filled a hole...just don't look at it. The customer service was excellent!

Nothing memorable about the place or service. The food, as always, is instantly forgettable.
