McDonald's in Crawley

We opted for the drive through, which was approximately 30 minutes wait. When we got home we were very disappointed as what should have been a quarter pounder was supplemented with a cheese burger. I tried calling but phone just rang of. Poor service. Not offered sauses even the we go 20 chicken nuggets.

The best way to describe this place is disorganised chaos. When you go in, they only have one till if you want to place an order with human contact otherwise you have to use one of their self service points. This wouldn't be a problem if they actually worked correctly and issued tickets with your order number but they don't. Also, the screen showing which orders are being prepared and which are ready is also not working so when an order is ready, someone shouts out the number which when the place is busy, is extremely hard to hear. Add to this the fact that they seem more interested in serving their Just Eat and Deliveroo drivers than other customers and you will see why I won't be wasting my time or money going back.

Pay for a large coffee and get a half filled cup, rip off. It also happened at Costa coffee Gatwick must be a Gatwick thing

Wir haben da mit unseren Kindern vorm Abflug noch was gegessen. Leider hat es etwas länger gedauert und wir wurden im Nachhinein bestraft...Man darf nur 60 Min da stehen. Wir waren 78 Min. Und wir müssen 100 £ nachzahlen. Teures Essen! Also Vorsicht!!!

We were having a laid back day out to eat out so why it was lovely sitting in our car in the car park without a care in the world

I fancied something quick and easy and without the hassle of a sit down meal at the hotel. Just a three minute walk along a path that snakes it's way to McDonalds or KFC next door. I ordered using the vertical screen and the burger and fries arrived in good time for me to take away to enjoy back in my hotel room. There is also free dispensers of tomato ketchup and barbeque sauce.

Couldn’t understand what the staff was saying 90% of the time but we managed. Very nostalgic meal, as Iceland hasn’t had McDonald’s for well over a decade.

I have a slight gripe with the drive-thru at Gatwick Macdonalds. I'm ordering a Big Mac and a bottle of water, no one else in the drive-thru but still I'm asked to "Can you park up Please" like its some kind of huge order that could take a while (which ofcourse it isn't) I've since learned that there's a particular manager at that branch that likes to make everyone who enters the drive-thru park their cars and wait for someone to bring them their order. The reason said manager does this is quite simply to keep drive-thru wait times looking excellent, and in turn make their shift look good. I consider this cheating! And usually ends up with customers of the drive-thru parking anywhere and everywhere waiting for their order as employees have no idea how full the carpark is when they tell people to "park up please" I wouldn't mind at all if this was implemented with particularly big orders to reduce wait time for everyone else in the queue but, to do this for every single customer is abit outrageous. I'd very much like to see this looked into as I think this manager is abusing their power just to make themself look good, and pretty much falsifying actually drive-thru time data which could actually be useful in the long run. Thank you to whoever reads this and I'd live to know if anyone else has experienced this?

Spot on food, went through drive thru, food was nice and hot. The time from end to end was minimal too.

I am FUMING I ordered a big Mac and an insane degenerate piece of filth took a POO in my burger right in front of me. She also called my boyfriend peter file and not his real name jimmy savill

Went to order a takeaway at the till however staff were soo busy chatting amongst themselves and unaware of my presence at the till. As I had a special request for the drinks I wanted to order at the till but was latter told to order at the self order screen as I was paying by card. Please refer to camera's if want to verify. I was shocked to find a metal piece in the french fires that my toddler was eating. The metal was small enough for any child to swallow. Please see pics attached. I believe it could be from the fryer basket/scoop or other metal equipment used in the kitchen. Hope this is taken seriously as this is a concern of health and safety.

Popped into the McDonald's at Gatwick and ordered a cheeseburger, fries, coke and a Malteasers McFlurry. Everything was fantastic. Hot, crispy fries, warm cheeseburger with lots of cheese and the coke was fizzy and tasty. It was hot yesterday and the McFlurry was fantastic to cool me down. Only criticism - those awful straws for the drinks. Bring back plastic ones - there must be some that are sustainable, rather than this thick mush of paper.

I come here and every now and then with my children as a treat I wouldn’t recommend eating all the time here, location is always clean and tidy.

Feel conned and unfairly treated. Don’t know if I should just pay or appeal again!!! Would welcome advice. Won’t ever go there again.

Bought 20 nuggets from the drive through. They were almost cold. Took them back only to be told they were cooked to order .. Utter rubbish!The replacements were only slightly better (probably same ones dunked in the fryer)Ended up dumping them and getting a lovely Kentucky next door.Have learnt my lesson and will stick with Kentucky from now on.

Apathetic staff, cold inside, not busy at all and yet slow service, more interested in the army of bikes outside offering delivery than customers who had bothered to turn up. Food was at least warm enough

Stopped for a coffee at 06:30 b4 a pickup at gatwick. Coffee Ok but manageress SHOUTING at staff all the time-not good. Toilets clean. DON'T FORGET TO VALIDATE YOUR CAR PARK TICKET B4 LEAVING !!!

Burger at Gatwick south ended up costing me £50 because Mcdonalds employ Rip off parking management and wont take responsibility for their actions. Appealed to the branch (feedback relavent to the branch service) but they were really rude putting the phone down. At the exit barrier if you havent got your ticket validated (which you may not be expecting as youre primary thinking is visiting a resurant not a restricted car park) they let you out without any proper warning knowing you will get fined. Beware!!

Lunchtime visit, no tomato sauce or soft drinks!!! Long wait for food, and this isnt the busiest iv seen here before. Not good for McDonald's, especially as they pride themselves on a great speedy service. Disappointing 😒

Picked up a friend from the airport and we popped through the drive through.I ordered our food and drove around to collect.The manager was at the window and I noticed she had medium drinks when I clearly asked for large meals so I said we ordered large.She replied saying no we didn’t. I said sorry but we did but neither the less could we have large and I’ll pay the extra.She was very rude and cold in her manner and made us feel very uncomfortable.Unnecessary rudeness.Food was fine though

Our family visited McDonalds after a flight from Iceland. We were all really hungry after the flight and wanted something quick before a drive to the country side. So we stopped at the Golden M. The food was okay and came fast and we were all happy when we hit the road. This was in May 2018. In August 2018 my parents ad brother got a letter from some collecting agency claiming they owed 100 pounds each for a violation of parking from McD. They clearly stated we were not to call but could send them emails but just recommended we pay the fine. Sounds dodgy enough? After some correspondence where we obviously told them we would never pay this made up fine they just increased the amount to 160. No signs, no communication from the McD staff about validating tickets, nothing. I called the manager and she said that a different company handled the parking for them. "You have to talk to them." How?Look out for this hassle if you decide to pay them a visit. It is never enjoyable to receive foreign letters from "lawyers" about claims.

I have been at worse McDonald’s before, food was nice but milkshakes always very runny like they have been waiting around for a while.

Nasty company and very bad treatment of customers - mostly who arrive by car. Parking charges for people who don't comply with parking regulations. Don't visit - just go somewhere else

On my own so just did the drive thru. It's a very busy outlet which has just had a refurb. I thought this would make the service quicker but no. I think the answer would be to have two people taking the money. It's is a treat and enough for a quick lunch.

Had to wait ages to get cold food as the pre order machines were all broke.... then 3 weeks later got a parking fine .... for wot I’m not sure 😡😡

Use there car park and don't get your ticket validated you will be hit with a fine!! The McDonald's staff won't prompt you about this and there is and button to let you out on the mashine don't press this!! I though the ticket was faulty or something was up with the mashine as my ticket came back out so like a lot of people would I pressed the button to get assistant and the gate open I drove off and didn't think anything of it only to get hit wilth a £50 fine. You won't be able to talk to a human about your issue they will only contact though email. If you don't aggre with there first response, you can appeal further with the risk of paying £100

I’m writing this review now , because today I’ve finally received decision on my parking appeal. It’s not in my favor. There is cowboy company with very questionable tactics operating on Gatwick Mc Donald’s car park. If you prepare to pay fee for your meal + £100 on top of it for your parking then good luck . Whatever happens when you trying to exit the car park through exit barrier, do not push communication button. It’s a £100 trap.

Unless you validate your ticket inside the restaurant, when you get to the barrier, if you press the wrong button, the barrier WILL lift but you will then receive a £ 100 or £ 50 ticket in the post.

go somewhere else, this mc d in asda, terrible, burger just about hot chips luke warm sent back next lot of chips not even warm, no apology just faces that looked like they hated their jobs, saying that if the group of workers were concentrating more, everything would be hot, next time i visit crawley i ll go to mc d near the shopping precinct far superior ,

Went today at lunch for a business lunch. Made the mistake of using the bathroom - wow first world restaurant with tied world facilities.

Be very cautious that this McDonald's uses MET parking company to monitor the use of it's car park to see that it is not abused - overstaying time limit of an hour - sounds quite reasonable given it's location on Gatwick airport.

Went to mcdonald gatwick south drive thru on 18 june 2018 time was 5:11 am i asked for 2 hash brown and 2 cheese muffin with no round eggs in both of them she asked me to pay £3.78 for both cheese muffin with no round eggs i said to her nicely in crawley they charge me less money because of no round eggs in muffin than the lady who was serving me she asked the shift manager than shift manager said you have to pay a full price i said thats fine i asked her nicely but in crawley they charge me less money cos of no round eggs she replied to me because mcdonald in crawley they are franchise but mcdonalds gatwick south drive thru is not franchise so its a different price and she replied me very rudely there is no need to be rude at the first place second when both of them are mcdonalds why is a price difference so i had a very bad experience with this mcdonald gatwick which i am un happy which the service they provide to me by shift manager receipt available for proof ive paid

Yes it was cleaner this time than it has been before in the car park but there is still the long going issue of limited time available to be able to park

Always run out of items when we arrive here and the food takes forever to arrive, ques are ridiculously long and staff do not listen to you. I understand they are under lots of pressure though

The usual good service. Stopped for a bite after holiday. Car park is controlled by parking ticket barriers which when you buy food they mark for exit. One hour max stay.

Standard Food and acceptable Customer Service but the staff could be a bit more friendlier as in other McDonald's. Car Park was very messy with a lot of waste there and not in the bins - attention to detail as staff should be onto this - just such a pity that it is so unfriendly with the car parking and you can only stay for such a limited period of time

This is the ideal place to stop either before the airport or after and it gives good service here although the car park is often littered and messy Just a pity that you are so limited with time here which is the biggest drawback

McDonald's is not well advertised but is a great choice for a meal if you are staying at the hotels local to the airport. It's especially handy for the Hilton Gatwick South terminal and of course the bloc hotel plus those near the north terminal if you don't mind the bit of travelling/walking. The thing is the hotel restaurants are quite expensive for some families on a budget so McDonald's is a great quick alternative. To access it from the south terminal my advise would be to walk and follow the signs for the Hilton hotel from the south terminal. Go down the corridor into the actual Hilton hotel and walk out the back entrance (past the restaurants and down a smal escalator). Walk out of the hotel and turn immediately left and cross the road in front of you and McDonald's is just round the corner to the right behind some large trees.

Dropped off passengers for a flight on time and needed a reward. This came via the super swift service here. It’s tough to beat a breakfast meal at a moment like this. We used the new touch screen system and got our free parking ticket validated. All good.

Well located for the airport and the menu is the same as anywhere else landside. The good points are its location and the fact that it is cheap. I have used it many times for just these reasons.

Unfortunatelt there is no Mc donalds now at gatwick airport terminals so have to take a walk outside to this building, just love their milkshakes

Ordered , paid, collected, pulled away onto dual carriageway and they had got the order wrong. Ordered a 2 Mcchicken sandwiches and a double cheese burger. Got 1 x chicken sandwich an 2 double cheese burgers... basics gotten wrong.

I asked nicely if they could make sure the fries were filled up as the last two visits we were short changed, I was then told by two workers we weigh the chips so that's that!I got home missing a burger rung the store next time you come we will give you a free meal, 2 weeks later went back ordered again with my free meal I thought better check again! Heaven, behold a whole meal missing again the staff looked at me like I had two heads unhelpful as can beI'm now weighing up my options and Salfords/Redhill worth the extra drive!!!!

We arrived back in the UK and went into this McDonalds. It is really well situated as you come out of the South Terminal. The only negative I have about this is that there is a clear sign advising you to take your parking ticket into the restaurant to get it verified before leaving, but whilst we were there so many people didn't do this then when they tried to exit the car park they got stuck at the barrier. It is clearly displayed what you need to do and I totally understand why they do this, to ensure people are not using their car park for a short stay. Overall it is great as the location is perfect and the food is just like any other McDonald's.

Not normally McD fans but after a long flight and pretty poor airline food, this was a welcome visit. The breakfast burgers and wraps and esp the coffee were just what we needed!

Good experienced staff with fast satisfying food. The McDonalds is only a 10 minute walk from the terminal.

Stopped for a quick meal at this McDonald's, it was quite crowded and a bit untidy. Same food as any mac d, simple quick food ( well normally quick) You get what you pay for, but that is why people call in.

At 23.00 on a Sunday night you would expect to fly through the drive in but no, it was chaotic, painfully slow to even place an order and then just as agonising to pay and collect the food. It took 20 minutes to get through it so it would have been much easier to park, wander in and out again and avoid the confusing Exit process where you end up going back around the main car park anyway. The end result was a lukewarm burger that was gone long before the frustration eased. Won't be going back but, if you do, make sure you park up and go inside rather than be left disappointed.

One of the Managers at the restaurant was a very pleasant chap to talk to, very polite and very helpful with my problem/enquiry.*Marcin, his name, going by his name badge.The problem I had was that I wasn't sure what was going on with the parking in the car park, as the barriers were up and wasn't sure how to register my vehicle. He informed me that the barriers were out of action at the moment, so there was no need to worry about it.From what I could see, when ordering and waiting for my food, was that Marcin runs a tight ship and has everything highly organised, doing so in a polite and courteous manner with his staff.Thank you very much McDonalds, I enjoyed my meal and enjoyed the service I got from Marcin even more. Cheers!!

First rule of Drive-Thru is get the order right, then do it quick and remember the sauces!Treated the kids on a Christmas night. Drive Thru was not too busy, but car park was rammed, and when we had to wait for our order we found the holding bays full already (people eating not waiting) and so did a circuit round the petrol station before waiting awkwardly by the disabled bays.Food (simple order: happy meal, wraps etc) took longer than expected to arrive and after I drove off my children discovered their sauces were missing; with young children that ruins their entire meal! Fortunately I hadn't got beyond the petrol station so doubled back through the Drive Thru and picked some up; I got the impression it wasn't an isolated incident.Food was standard McD fare so fine in moderation but getting a Drive-Thru order wrong is inexcusable as you usually can't just go back to the counter.

It's a typical McDonald's that is right at the entrance and exit to the airport. It's open 24 hrs and is clean.

Its a Usual McDonald really, but a real lack of parking. Also, you only have 60 mins to park or you will get a ticket. If you have Children, be quick or get a takeaway.

Haven't been here for a good few months, despite being very close. Friends were coming into Gatwick so whilst waiting we dropped into the McD's. Car park seems to be smaller & definitely more crowded than previous: all seemed to have been refreshed. Similar inside, the new tap screen ordering system & numbered collections. New furnishing including a long table with 4 fixed tablets for customers use. Built in wi-fi. I believe they must have rebuilt the toilet facilities because these today had no issues .... Everywhere else clean & tidy. Nice burger & fries too. Trust I won't have to meet another delayed plane for some time.

Stayed overnight before flight at hotel across the road so nipped in for a quick snack. We were served quite quickly even though it was very busy. The burger meal was nice the chips a bit too salty but very hot. Shame the chicken nuggets tasted of cardboard and were cold.

So, McDonalds couldn't serve the breakfast menu, so we had to order from the lunch menu (at the Drive Through), we paid, and couldn't get the change as they had none, then we get to the pick up point and we couldn't get lunch as they were still serving breakfast... Brilliant...

Whilst I have nothing to complain about with my 99p cheeseburger (for 99p what do you expect ! ) the toilets were filthy and disgusting. There are no signs up showing when they were last checked and what the checking procedure / timing is. This is a busy airport pick up point and well used . In the minimum it should be clean!!! Really quite awful

This McDonald's has 3 large screens as you go in through the doors on the right hand side where you order from, using touch screen technologyOnce you've made your choice then you pay via this screen and receive a ticket with a number, similar to how Argos works Your number is shown on a screen and then you have to wait for your mealOnly when you receive your meal do you speak to a real person!The way of things to come I suppose!Chips were only just warm but I had gone too far away to go backOtherwise average

We needed a quick lunch so went through the drive through, the staff were very happy and helpful and the whole transaction was very fast.

This is a typical McDonald's with good service from the staff when served.The Gents toilet is probably the smallest in any McDonald's that you will ever find as entering and exiting is an issue if there is more than one person!The Car Park is often littered with rubbish and uneaten food from the Restuarant even in the early hours of the morning which is not ideal and not a good advert for this chain.Beware as you can only stay here for a maximum of 60 minutes as your license plate is recorded by the McDonald's car park management company - again not an ideal situation for a McDonald's but expected.A quick coffee or a bite then this place is ok but don't stay too long!!!!

You know what you expect when you get into McDonalds. So this rating applies to the ambience and the overall experience. Located a mere few steps outside the airport and close to the M23, this is turning out to be our go to place on our way out of Horley. Staff and service levels are good (as expected)The only negative here is that the drive through tends to cut through where people enter and exit, so it is a bit scary (both as a driver and as a pedestrian)

The staff are care in the community. Not being rude but the staff in is Store never know what they doing you ask for chips you get ice cream no you read right that's what happened to me. Then the manger said what do u ask for so I told him and what did I get a double cheese Burger

I am a middle-aged, educated, company director who occasionally rides a motorbike. A Harley Davidson. I have ridden bikes since I was 16, right up until this mid-life crisis.Although a while ago now, I was riding home, on my own, from a meeting in Brighton one cold, wet, and rainy evening and I REALLY needed a cup of coffee to warm me up. I pulled into the Gatwick Airport McDonalds at about 10-00pm and noted that it was quite empty except for a few diners inside. As I was parking my bike and removing my helmet a soggy gloves I noticed some hurried activity in the front lobby. Approaching the door I noticed a member of McStaff was hurriedly locking the door and gesturing at me to go away. "What?... Why?" I asked the man. He replied that motorbikers had to use the Drive-thru and eat outside. "No bikers ... No bikers" he kept shouting, and pointing to the picnic tables outside in the pouring rain.Long story kept short, and an exchange of expletives I was forced to leave, still cold and wet. I wrote to the McHead-Office with my complaint, asking their policy on motorcyclists.A few weeks later a reply. No, they have no rules to ban motorcyclists of any age, creed, colour, religion, or description and that this must be an isolated case. In compensation a £5 voucher was included.Would I ever use it? No, NEVER. And because of this attitude nor will my family or children ever enter a McDiscrimination again. Disgraceful people.

We had breakfast at McDonald’s while travelling through Gatwick and it was poor. We travel through Gatwick quite often and usually eat somewhere. We thought we would try McDonald’s for a change but NEVER AGAIN!We found the staff could not care less for the customers, the food was thrown together, the hot drinks we week and cool, the cold drinks were in a bottle, so could not be damagedThere was no interest in serving anyone, it even seemed to effect the customers, who were mainly miserable and the restaurant had a rundown, uncared for lookAwful!

Usciti dall'aeroporto con l'auto ci siamo fermati presso questo McDonald's, non avrei mai pensato di scrivere una recensione su questa catena che comunque è sinonimo di buona qualità, anche se non deve far pensare a cibi fuori dal comune: essenziali e veloci oltre che poco dispendiosi, un rifugio sicuro in tutto il mondo che ha sempre trovato in me un buon cliente soprattutto quando necessitava un pasto veloce. Questa esperienza è stata deludente non tanto per la qualità del cibo, standard, quanto per la confusione che regnava tra il personale (non c'era molta clientela), età media molto giovane, per l'incapacità di servirci correttamente, forse anche grazie alle nostre difficoltà nell'esprimerci in lingua locale, e soprattutto per l'arroganza di una ragazza che sembrava avere "un grado in più" nei confronti di chi faceva il possibile per servirci e, sempre da parte sua, per l'atteggiamento quasi scocciato nei confronti dei clienti (noi). Da non ripetere!

At what point do the staff not understand the meaning of fast food. If you are going on a 2 week holiday and are hungry order your food at the drive through prior to your holiday. Go away have a great vacation. Come back to Gatwick McDonald's and pick up your order knowing that it will be ready and warm to eat. Need I say more. You have be warned.

This is a standard McDonald's Restuarant as one would expect from the chain which serves the standard fare.It is as good as others that you would visit and not any worse.

Came here very early in the morning after a flight home from holiday. Staff were quick food was delivered fast and efficiently. Food tasted as every McDonald's does. Clean restaurant in typical McDonald's decor.

Went to collect the in-laws on Thursday AM, didn't want to make them get the train or bus (im a good son in law......most of the time) lol.Kids came with me and it was a fairly early one, so they wanted something to munch. My daughter had a sausage and egg muffin, while my son had 2 hash browns (he loves them) along with a milk too.I of course sampled both. Staff were friendly and allowed me to add on 2 latte's at the payment window (for my in laws - see told you I was good).Pleasant experience.

McDonald's are pretty much the same wherever you are, that's one of the appeals, convenient, quick, you know what you're getting. We must of gone in at a bad moment or on a bad day they seemed to be getting everyone's orders wrong and whilst we were waiting for our order (that was also wrong they forgot to put the cheese on) the staff were getting annoyed with each other. One actually shouted at another for helping one of their colleagues out when they didn't think they did enough work to warrant help.

It's a McDonalds and it's okay. Plenty of outside seating if the weather is okay. If only they could stop the taxi drivers using it as a "Free" short stay car park. This would then allow genuine customers to park in the car park. The picture I have put on is the car park and only 10 or so customers were in the restaurant.

On our return from an excellent holiday , a big mac seemed to be the perfect way forward .The queue was long for the drive through , so went inside to get a take out . As drive through equally as busy , but hey here now .Only one girl on the tills , same girl getting orders , same girl giving orders out .You don't have to be of management material to realise that this is not working .At least half an hour and we eventually have our food , so back to the car and OMG .The meals were cold , the onions had a sour tainted taste to them .I see the meals put on the rack to be served , that should have meant they were fresh , hot and edible. So where were they kept ? why were they cold ? and mores to the point why is that Mcdonalds still serving ?The whole thing should be shut staff fired and a serious rethink before reopening .......

After not being able to get into the business lounge McDonalds was there with predictably good coffee and a fairly decent breakfast. Although very busy there was table availability. Lots of staff cleaning making sure everything was running smoothly.

This is by far the worst fast food sandwich I was ever served. It was flat, stale, had probably been sitting there for hours. The salad leaves were old and dehydrated, there was hardly any bacon in the sandwich. An utter disaster. There were no mozzarella fritters available.I shall need to find another place for a quick fix before a flight from Gatwick South Terminal. I think a visit from health and safety is advisable.It was 4pm, the restaurant was short staffed and there was long lines. Only 4 tills serving.No wonder the business is globally going down the pan.The cleaning staff were charming and the sitting area globally cleaner than usual.

I had breeks days here which was a standards McDonald's. Nothing more or less, it's cheap especially compared to other eateries in the airport. Service was quite slow but it was busy.

Before going on holiday - early flight out at 6.30am.We needed some cheap easy breakfast - bring on the ever reliable double sausage and egg mcmuffin!!Along with the hash brown and orange juice, this was suitably demolished in relatively quick time.What else would people expect?

Yes this is a standard McDonald's within London Gatwick South terminal Airside.As they would be aware that time is of an essence for customers here as they are waiting for flights, the service should be a lot quicker that I found on the visit this time.The food is standard of this restaurant chain but customer service and speed should be looked into.When there are so many other outlets that serve quicker than they do at this outlet, one would think twice about standing in a queue for so long here when limited time is an issue.
