Mcdonald's in Inverclyde

AVOID ORDERING THROUGH APP FOR DELIVERY we have had some delicious order via the McDonalds app. To date I still haven't had an order correct? When you get a delivery they do expect you to return the full order to replace missing items? I have done this twice and haven't had a refund for the delivery costs. I order for the food to arrive as we have other commitments and then I need to attend because one of the kids have no food what so however? Chicken select meal comes with dips of your choice again this isn't even added to your order? AVOID at all cost ordering through the McDonalds app as any wrong orders or missing items you are not going to get a refund!!!!!

Where do I begin???! This had to be the worst experience I’ve had at any fast food outlet. Drove up to the drive thru and the guy over the speaker was so quiet and mumbled every word. I asked for a wrap of the day meal but with only lettuce and he obviously didn’t know how to input it on the till. Speaker went quiet for ages then the wrong meal came up on the screen. Drove to the window and his colleague had to confirm with me what I wanted and changed my order. Thought that was it and happy that was going to get the correct food. Or so I thought!!! Got to next window and was given my happy meal and asked to park in a waiting bay for my wrap. Thought this was fair enough as has happened at other McDonalds. 20 minutes later……no wrap meal!!! I went into the McDonalds and the place was chaos!! Several people standing waiting on their orders, several Just Eat or Deliveroo guys shouting and waving their phones for orders. There were several members of staff on shift but all seemed to be congregating in the back chatting and having a laugh. The boy on the till completely ignored me as I approached to ask for my meal and walked away. After another 10 mins I saw a member of staff walking outside with orders. Caught up with her outside and she had my order. At last!!! Or so I thought!!! Got in the car to find that wrap was wrong and had everything on it. Was stone cold and the chips tasted rank!! Walked back in and again faced the same people waiting on their food and the same ignorant staff. Got the attention of a girl cleaning the tables and asked for a refund as the food was cold and given the wrong order. Another 5 mins and a baby faced boy came out(the manager!), visibly nervous. I told him the issues and wanted a refund. Didn’t have the heart to give him a hard time as he looked terrified!! He struggled to put the refund through the till and gave me back the wrong money!! I politely declined his offer of 2 free meals!!! You have got to be joking mate!!! From order to leaving I was there for 45 minutes. Fast food???? Please do not go to this drive thru if you want hot, edible food and good service. Awful, awful, awful!!! Had a long drive back to Glasgow after all that!!!

Oh Dear !!! I’ve held back on reviewing this mcd’s, giving them the chance to get their act together. Went for my Sunday breakfast as a drive through customer. Waited at the ‘pod’ for 10 mins, waited a further 8 mins to eat to the pay window, 4 mins to reach the servery where I was held for another 10 mins. All staff seemed flustered and run off their feet, the number of inside customers and cars waiting didn’t reflect this. Anyway, drive off to a parking spot 2 mins away to find that my ‘mini hash browns’ had been substituted for a cold normal h/b and the ‘mighty McMuffin wasn’t much warmer. Have tried to take food back ere before to be met with blank looks and little else so not worth another 30+ mins of m time. Poor management, not staff.

I called in to this outlet, first thing I noticed no one was serving. A elderly employee let another member of staff know that someone should be serving, of which I thank him for his input. I prefer to deal with a human rather than a machine. I put my order in for 1/4 pounder cheesburger meal plus a white coffee. I was served quite swiftly but both burger and chips were cold, coffee was ideal. Apparently no sense of urgency in serving. A blonde haired lady who was in a car waiting bay came in and said she had been waiting for 10minutes! The member of staff asked what her order was and it was delivered 5mins later. Don’t know who the Manager is but I think they need a new one, that can do the job. I am a local Greenockian, but bad news that service is far better in London, and that is a horrible city. I won’t be rushing back.

Ordered through just eat. Just eat driver sat in my car park for 15 mins before coming to the door. Shock horror, half my order missing. Went down to the mcdonalds store to get my order, they lost it twice. Staff are under trained. A lady was waiting 25 mins for 2 coffees. I ended up telling the staff to forget it left with no food, waste of time and money. Horrific service, people were coming from the drive through because their order was missing. This is probable the 8th time this I've had to go down to the store after ordering a just eat. Just eat drivers are clearly taking the food, or isit the staff just being in competent. Either way, the port mcdonalds don't seem to have these issues.

Watched while waiting on my food being prepared 2 people handled the same burger in preperation with no gloves on using bare hands only was told this was more hygenic than using gloves?? The girl had a prod at her hair taking out what I believe to have been a clasp/cirbie of some sort and continued to the next passed burger. No hands were washed as she didn't even move from the spot. How is this hygiene wow definitely avoid if you don't want to be served contaminated food

Ordered food via just eat and despite taking my money no food ever arrived. It was marked as delivered pretty much straight after I ordered? Won't use again

Was in McDonald's greenock on Tues 18th june busy as usual clearly under staffed worked as fast and efficient as possible .but noticed the floof in food prep area and outside in eating area was very slidy greasy my grandson nearly fell at the counter as did I and the workers were sliding around in kitchen area like on a ice rink clearly dangerous as hot fat every where and lots of food on floors I'd say a health and safety risk right there .and ps they had no milkshake again ..theres a suprise

Yet another incomplete order. We decided to get food on way home from work and once again arrived home to find half the order missing. Should have checked I suppose but it’s becoming a regular occurrence here now. Out a pocket again.

Went for a quick bite to eat on my break from work and despite it being very busy the staff were super friendly and very attentive. I ordered a meal and a dessert and received my order within 10 mins and it was all fresh.

Not for the first time we receive an incomplete order... Drink spilt all over the bag two of them just about empty. Chips missing. I will not be using them again poorest customer service ever. Two very disappointed kids But hey if I was a billion pound empire what an insignificant problem.

All I wanted was a bacon roll!!? It was rank, barely cooked and tasted off. Took it back as said it was rank, they offered me another one, I said No!! Obviously. I'll not be back.

This place was a riot tonight with a backlog of orders, people waiting to place orders, staff looking disinterested and glaikit. The food preparation area was as bad with a mass of spilt salad on the floor and a supervisor more concerned with asking staff “who still is due a break ?” As for our food order , Binned upon trying, tasteless and not fresh!!

My friend and I have just ordered from greenock mcdonalds. Ordered 3 kids meals and and extra burger. 2 cokes and fruit shoot. 2 fruit bags and and. Out of the three kids meals not one of them where in the bag extept one small chips and the extra burger she ordered for her self. 1 coke and 1 fruit shoot. 1 fruit bag no toys and no book for the happy meals we ordered. £5.49 over spent without the things added. And tried calling 13 times. And as they only have one land line I know they where letting it ring out as I called from my phone she called from hers and when she was connecting it was saying busy on my side. So I know they just letting the phone ring out. Apparently not putting food in an order and then have no way but land line to contact them on and not answering is how mcdonalds in run these days.. Well done lads.

Ordered via Uber. Food delivered was not my order. Receipt attached was my order. Uber driver wouldn’t take responsibility as the bags were sealed and my receipt was attached. Phoned McDonalds who refused to send an UBER driver out with my correct order, even though they agreed it was McDonald’s staff who packed and sealed the bags Terrible customer service. Now left with someone else’s order and out of pocket

The service was so bad that it is not possible for a fast food and the young girl cleaning is doing her best god bless her....

I have been here twice in the past 10 days and on both occasions the burgers have been burnt, please stop over cooking the meat guys

Went to get drive through with family. Chips were cold, both cokes tasted flat and watered down. No napkins as usual and for a short queue we waited quite a while. Last time we visited, we found out later they forgot the chips with the meals. I think that’s our last visit there now. Either Burger King or Port Glasgow MacDonald’s in the future!

Two weeks in a row I've come home with drive thru orders....two weeks in a row the order was wrong. Last week instead of bacon rolls it was breakfast rolls and the pancake order had no maple syrup. This week the pancake order X 2 had no butter or maple syrup despite clarifying exactly what the order was. By the time I got home I and discovered it wasn't worth going back.. but honestly... please listen carefully to the order or read it back before processing...it isn't difficult!!

Second time in 2 weeks food has been cold and chips stale. Happy meal cheeseburger and big mac were cold and chips tasted stale also lukewarm. Keep going back in hope it was one off but seems to be the norm.

I went to McDonald’s after I finished work and to be given the wrong order!! Was very disappointed when I got home. Food was stone cold and paid more money for a order that wasn’t mines. nuggets was missing/ mozzarella dippers missing and a cheese burger instead to be given a chicken legend which no one even liked.

In these covid days I was reluctant to sit in as very busy so tried the drive through. Food warm, staff friendly and service was quick. No complaints.

I think everyone should go to McDonald’s McDonald’s because the food is soo good the Big Mac is my favourite

Despite just being launched this month they were sold out of veggie dippers, the only GF & veggie meal I can eat at McD. We were then stuck in the ridiculous drive through for ages with out a food order.

Extremely busy restaurant today felt sorry for the staff lack of training showed through fast food took 40 minutes to come out then all stone cold including coffee other customers looking to cancel orders as having to go back to work

They took half of the car parking spaces away to set up a new drive through system. The most stupid drive through ever. You now haveto drive the whole way around tbe building to get back to where you entered before you can place order. Then you have to drive right around tbe building again to collect your order. Thats two laps just to get served. Then if you sit in the car park to eat you have to do a third lap around the building to exit. You go to mcdonalds for fast food. Not to waste your day driving around in circles. Whoevers great idea it was to put this system in place should be fired. From now on il go to burger king where you drive in. Get served and then leave. Simple and fast just as it should be

We were staying over the road so this was convenient for us. The young man who served us was friendly enough. It was clean and suited our needs.

Quick early morning coffee - I don’t do any of the standard MacD range but thought I would be safe with The Pancakes - how wrong I was. The substantial knife & fork that comes with them should be replaced with a rip saw - will be a while till I venture in again

Popped in to get couple of cold drinks - iced coffee - and had to return as it was bitter and awful tasting. Asked for refund, no issue but no-one seemed to care that the taste was off. Senior member of staff said she liked them not understanding that issue with product. Not even an apology for sub standard product

Every time I got to McDonald’s drive through I have to drive round the corner and check my order as there’s always something missing or wrong. Yet again I had to leave my car and go in as they hadn’t given me my large fries. When I got home and opened my “large” fries I was even more disappointed as there was hardly any chips in the box!!!

I had not had a Big Mac for years. When it come it was flabby, wilted lettuce, miserable dill pickle, and tiny burgers, about half the size I remember. Awful.

Worst macdonnalds ever every time I go there I don’t get what I order. PLAIN CHEESBURGER I get a cheese burger with all the stuff I don’t want on it

It was just a quick stop in for breakfast on the move, a lot of these places seem to still serve luke warm food, we even managed to get a latte with no milk.

We made a rare visit to McDonalds for Saturday lunch with our two young grandchildren. Although it was busy , service was efficient and the happy meals made happy children. There was an extremely helpful man constantly spraying and cleaning tables as they were vacated, ready for the next customers.

Restaurant was clean, good parking and friendly efficient service. Two of the self service terminals were not working. Food was brought to table and order was correct. Food and coffee were all as expected. Decent fast food place

I dont like these fast food places all but we stopped early on a sunday morning and got a breakfast bap was really nice , egg and bacon bap and a cup of tea !

Every single time we visit this McDonalds the order is ALWAYS wrong! Numerous times we have had to drive all the way back with food because order is wrong. Final straw was today when every meal ordered was wrong. Will never return. Would much rather drive to Paisley/Linwood. How hard is it to get a meal order correct at least once!! Useless staff.

We gave up visiting this place a couple of years ago due to extremely slow service and wrong orders but decided to try again after it was completely refurbished ...big mistake.

Fast food?? I think not. Slow food. On a saturday night they seem to concentrate more on the drive thru! Waited 25 minutes for our food as they deleted our order off there system to. Would go back but will use drive thru.

I ordered a big mac but someone used the burger to whipe themselves and there was lots of poo on it and the roll was mouldy

I was bitterly disappointed at the service when I visited this establishment. The place was not the cleanse and the staff unhelpful.

One of the better McDonalds. Staff are friendly and work fast in this busy place and it can get really busy believe me. Food is fresh and plenty to choose from.

This place has went downhill since it has been done up really need a bigger place always jumping cars parked anywhere. And the new ordering system is bad order en take slip to counter then wait for your dinner..

3rd time in this not so fast food restaurant and my last, all I wanted was a raspberry ripple drink and an apple pie, the 12 year old (that's how old he looked) that was serving had no Idea, had to check if they had apple pies, I was told they did not, so was going to settle for my drink to be told, Sorry we don't have raspberry ripple, OK I will have a vanilla milk shake, Sorry the machine is not working, steer clear of this place. I cant wait for the new Burger King to open just up the road, and I am not alone on that

Reciente re vamp es una pesadilla, sin apenas espacio para moverse, la gente parece ser cada donde. No sé donde hacer cola, personal aún está muy concurrido y duro trabajo en limpieza.

Dejamos aquí un par de veces. Servicio de primera clase, limpio y muy fácil de parar. Nos alojamos en el Premier Inn. . . . muy práctico para entrar a conseguir el café de la mañana! !

Es un buen restaurante semi-barato y rápido lugar comida y un gran ambiente para los niños y me encuentro que la mayoría de la gente es agradable en realidad todos son agradables

This may be open until half 1 in the morning... But that still doesn't excuse the fact you catch damn all when it comes to Pokemon! Not even a stop to keep you interested while you feast on those sweet chicken selects...would you like fries with that??? NO I WANT BALLS BARBRA!! AND FIX THE MILKSHAKE MACHINE!! x

Drop in here now and again for a happy meal for my daughter, always have to wait round the corner, pretty slow and poor service.

They never get orders right. It's actually every time I go now. Don't go that often but when I do they seem to screw something up

Was doggy sitting for a friend and decided rather than try to raid cupboards the kids could have a wee treat and get their first ever McDonald's breakfast. Went through drive thru service was quick and friendly all the food cooked really well, they didn't ask if we needed sauces or anything and had to run back in to get some but a good wee treat

The food is good . I miss the other store so much . It used to be in the Oak Mall Shopping Centre ..

Medium sized premises, kept relatively clean! Staff are efficient, but not particularly friendly! Quite a few tables for sit-in! OK if you're into fast food! A bit out of the way, so generally you need transport!

Typical McDonald standard décor, setting and menu. Mostly always busy, this lets you know its one of their better franchises. Great turnover of food means great freshness

Can't seem to get your order correct.You get half the fries that you get if you sit in.The juice seems to be flat when taking away.Sitting in is no problem service is average as some staff just look like they don't want to be there. But....it's McDonald's you can't help but enjoy it.

Any adjustments to the standard order are usually wrong :-(I have been here 3 times on a drive through and asked for a burger with only ketchup and onions, and on driving away, later discover pickle, mustard, and cheese as well. The label on the wrapper says ONLY KETCHUP AND ONIONS. How difficult is it ?

Like most Mcdonalds the staff are friendly, the food just like any other Mcdonalds - however the location to the hotel does allow for an alternative breakfast - double sausage egg mcmuffin

It's a McDonalds so you know what you're getting to eat, no problems there.However, if you want a drive thru you have to do a lap of honour of the whole restaurant before reaching the order point, very, very confusing.

Don't Go to McDonald's all that often but when we do it's this one. Mostly the food is okay, as you'd expect from McDonald's, average at best but no fault of the staff there, just general McDonald's food. However, the only meal I really ever enjoy out of there, breakfast, has sometimes been terrible. Last week ordered sausage and egg mcmuffin and it had no egg, sausage and cheese bagel and both the bagel and muffin were very hard, stale almost and certainly not heated. Was in a rush so no time to complain but it's always disappointing if this happens, unfortunately it's not the first time it's happened either. I'll undoubtedly go back for convenience but it's annoying when they are in so much of a rush they get it wrong.

Good parking . The place is always clean . Staff friendly and helpfull. Food good and freshly cooked

We were so tired and hungry we thought McDonalds its been ages since we both had one and as over road from hotel well amazing we thought. Had two burgers two fries and 20 chicken nuggets it was ALL tasteless all tasted of cardboard VILE threw in bin half eaten

I've been in here on a number of occasions & its always been fine, i've never had to wait long on food. The food itself is what you would expect from McD's. The only problem is they don't always have different flavour milkshakes, a few times i've asked, they've only had vanilla!!! I like the banana or strawberry flavours.

Had breakfast here every morning of our stay at Premier Inn and found it to be clean and the staff friendly and efficient (as you would expect). Definitely found this to be better value than the Brewers Fayre and at least with MacDonalds, you know what you are getting every time. Recommend.

Stopping in the Premier Inn opposite and stopped off before checking in. Not a macs man normally but great staff and freshly cooked burger and fries hit the spot. Credit where credit is due.

Normal McD's food. Get what you pay for. Only went in for a snack on the Saturday. Usual items available.

although busy, we hardly waited five minutes to be served. children seem to thive in these places, but even taking meal outside was enjoyable.
