McDonald's in County Durham

This isnt just this establishment but across the board of resteraunts. The waiting time was ridiculous were at one point the cleaner although she is lovely - took over the food orders.

Absolutely horrendous experience at this McDonald’s. It seems that the staff at this location couldn’t string together a basic order if their lives depended on it. Every single time I’ve ordered here, something crucial is missing. Forget simple things like ketchup packets—I’ve left without entire burgers, fries, or even drinks that I PAID for. It’s like they’re trying to set some sort of record for how badly they can mess up an order. Staff members seem more interested in chatting among themselves than actually doing their jobs. The attitude is indifferent at best, and they treat you like you’re bothering them for expecting your order to be correct. Don’t bother trying to complain, either. They’ll offer you some half-hearted apology and expect you to leave happy without actually fixing the problem. If you want a taste of what a truly disorganized McDonald’s is like, this is the place for you. Otherwise, save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere.

I do enjoy McDonald’s but my only bugbear is the Big Mac is never hot and always cold or barely warm regardless of where I go.

Food was lukewarm Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Food stale some chips tasted like double cooked not salted either. Only thing hot was 3 chicken nuggerts. Mcdonalds has gone downhill. Over priced and rubbish. Oh and mc flurry changed as if reduced sugar and something to make it fluffy.

Re Arnison. I dont like coming here as there is often a problem with my order. Staff are nice despite being busy. Just had the long awaited McRib and I will not be having it again when combined with other poor reviews from around the UK. It was dry, cold, with a blob of bbq sauce and some huge chunks of onion. The fries were old, dry and cold (all the family complained today). I had the McRib in Germany this summer and in the past and it was delicious there (hot, moist, and dipped in warm sauce with sweet onions and pickles on top). I am reducing and restricting my McDs intake to infrequent to avoid regular disappointment these days. I will use the 3 branches in the NE and Scotland which I trust and am forced instead to use neighbourong and competing food outlets for my take away treats.

2and a half hours to arrive and was stone cold

Regularly incorrect/missing items, milkshakes unavailable more often than not. Shame there's no nearby competitor as this place is consistently poor.

My order hasn’t even been delivered when it says it has I asked the courier to come to the other address because it changed to my home address even tho I put a different one I’m very very annoyed

Missing half the order, two burgers missing

I made an order at 12.55 for my meal it didnt come until 2.40, so nearly 2 hrs late, even though the approx wait time was 20 minutes.It was freezing and inedible. I did try to contact Just Eat but unfortunately Just Eat doesnt have this function.

Delivered over 90 minutes later than originally stated. During that time I tried to cancel. Kids had to go to bed. Nobody answered the phone. Had to drive to buy the macdonalds myself. Then 30 mins later it turned up. Everyone acted like I was in the wrong. No cancel buttons and no support to resolve anything.

order placed at approx 7pm..on checking the app the delivery time which was given as 7-40 approx, then changed numerous times finally I got the food at approx 9-10 burger n fries both cold and half the drink was spilt.

Waited over two hours, food never arrived eventually marked as "delivered"

just eat have been brilliant. no issues with the delivery. there was some items missing from our order but that's the restaurant not just eat and we have been refunded for the missing items. thanks

The staff at this place are utterly useless! Every order ends up incorrect! The food is disgusting, always cold and they never have the full menu available. This place should be closed down imminently. Even the pop is always flat! I am gutted I have had to score it one star!

Arrived late for Breakfast was told it was main daytime menu. I chose not to order, as I was leaving the colleague said something about me to another customer. I found this very unprofessional and frankly rude. I tried calling the restaurant but no answer.

Visited Durham yesterday and had to pull into the carpark to wait for our food. The guy that brought our food Lok Man was so friendly, kind and helpful and couldn't have done enough when I realised I had made a mistake on the order. This lad needs recognition for this, keep up the good work you were amazing :)

Placed my order and not long after, it said “preparing order”. I assumed the delivery driver was already at the restaurant, turns out he wasn’t. So my order was sat there for about 40 minutes before the driver could get there. It’s common knowledge to start preparing the order when the driver has arrived, then the food stays hot/warm whilst out for delivery. Anyway, food got to me freezing cold as you can imagine. I think the staff here need a good talking to, to get their act together.

Giving wrong things or picture is different from the reality

Poor delivery. Tried to give us fat hippo when we ordered McDonalds. Then gave us the food but the drinks were spilling everywhere. Started eating the food but it was cold and stodgy. Worst McDonalds I have ever had.

I think you need to have a word with your just eat drivers!!.. 4 quid is steep enough to pay for delivery and when you order online it's mainly because you like your food delivered to your door, you don't expect your food to be plonked on your garden wall and then receive a really rude phone call demanding you come and get your food now !!.. Ordered a double quarter pounder with no cheese and it even clearly says it on label however when I got home the burger had cheese on it and my partner also ordered a banana milkshake and received a chocolate one

Never mind having to wait 17 minutes to be served cold fries to get home with my meal and take a big mouthful of my drink to find out that I've been served in a white americano when I ordered a medium americano . Being that I have a severe intolerance to liquid milk had to take the drink back to explain that they've served the wrong drink. Clearly stated medium americano on the order to be told that that's not a black coffee. They serve a black coffee which I just point out that an americano is a black coffee, to be chastised by said shift manager and told I should show respect to him because he did not serve me the incorrect drink. Hate to break it to this absolute moron but you leading a team and you don't even know the menu or how serious it is to serve incorrect item. And worse you disrespect a customer with a serious complaint. I will be taking this up with the store manager in the daytime or customer care line. And potentially beyond!

Mcdonald's gave us somebody's order that clearly had strict dietary needs I feel sorry for who ever gets our food. Order numbers don't even match our order so the driver had given us the wrong order

Drinks half filled and burger forgotten. Not the first time things have been missing from our order it’s nearly every time something is missing, the order is late or the food is cold. Got our orders right less times than wrong.

Food was served cold, cheese wasn't melted on the burger and the burger had items removed yet they made it incorrectly. Wouldn't recommend this one, only came as we had an Etihad tour and needed to kill time. Staff were rude and inconsiderate

The restaurant had less than 10 people in it. The food took 12 minutes to arrive. Sausage and egg McMuffuns were lukewarm as they sat on the outtray for a long time. One of the McMuffins was re-wrapped twice before we got them.

I payd for sweet chilli sausage and they send me the free sweet and sawer sauce which I am allergic,not happy

I ordered my two sons meals via the app, when I pulled up at McDonald's at Dragonville in Durham my order disappeared from my phone, so I re-ordered at 19.10pm at this point the drive thru was closed so I chose to get my order via click and serve, my new ordered went through and I waited, and I waited and I waited 50minutes later I was still waiting, so myself and a young lady and her boyfriend in the car next to me also decided to go inside to complain, I asked her how long had she been waiting, she replied, 1hr 30 min, and this is the 3rd time now I've gone into complain, we went inside and we still stood another 15 minutes to be served, at this point we demanded to see the duty management, and in enters a man named Kyle, what an ignorant person he was, we complained and they eventually got our orders, at no point did the managers apologise for the poor service the restaurant provided, an absolute disgrace he was, they were also giving out wrong orders left right and centre, they wrote my order down and still managed to give me the wrong drink, they were also some young kids been waiting over 30 minutes just for a Mcflurry, while all of this was going on they decided to open the drive thru back up, and everyone in the drive thru was getting orders before us, furious is an understatement, KYLE the manager needs taken out of his job and retrained In management, customer care and people skills, over all I spent 1hr 10 minutes to get my order, never again will I enter this shambles of a Mcdonald at Dragonville, Gilesgate.

Stopped here on way home from Scotland Fries were dry ,cold and obviously had been sitting for a while Chicken selects were like old boots ,chicken was so dry Steakhouse burger was a dry chicken burger Coke had no ice and was flat Milkshakes were overflowing and when we started drinking them we realised they were completely melted Staff were extremely young and clearly inexperienced Unfortunately we drove off before we realised all the above problems (I know a lesson learnt ) but we have kept some of the food which I will be taking pictures of and emailing their head office I spent £25 on terrible food PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS PLEASE REMEMBER SECRET SHOPPERS DO COME INTO YOUR RESTAURANTS

The server who served us was treat really badly by the person in front of us, and still served us with a smile. Even went out of his way to get barbecue sauce for us. I put a four for the food because... well, its macdonalds, the food is fast, but thats what you go there for so there's not much to complain about. I'm over emotional right now and I actually almost cried when I saw the two packets of barbecue sauce on our tray when it was brought out to us. I don't particularly like barbecue sauce, it was my mothers request, but out of respect for the effort that server put in, I ate my chips with barbecue sauce today. Didn't read his name tag, but thank you, whoever you are. That little gesture made my day.
