Every year the 11 of us friends attend an Ulster match in Belfast. We always start Henry’s for lunch,which up to now has been very good. This year we paid our £90 deposit to secure a table and we all met up as usual. Immediately on presentation of the menu we were all so disappointed. The menu had been drastically changed from previous years. It was so limited. I spoke to the waiter and made the point to her, she agreed, the realty was our choice was only a burger or fish and chips. The food was good but a much better menu for variety was available in Hatfields, another bar that we visited later on. Sadly that’s the last year we’ll be booking Henry’s. End of an era.

I ordered the kids chicken goujons and it was a lot more food than expected. Very good entertainment and nice to watch the Liverpool game on the big screen too, will definetely be back sometime again

Eigentlich wollten wir hier einen schönen Abend mit nettem Essen verbringen. Daher machten wir uns vorher online über die Karte kundig und buchten einen Tisch. Nachdem dieser dann durch uns besetzt wurde entdeckten wir die scheinbar neu ausgedruckte Karte. Viele Gerichte fehlten. Dazu gab es nicht ein Bier vom Fass. So blieb nur das überteuerte Flaschenbier. Hier trügt der Schein massiv. Leider.

Attended with my work for our annual Christmas Lunch. Great atmosphere and the service was also very good. The meal was pleasant especially the turkey and ham.

Don't deviate from food menu, was looking forward to a club sandwich, without Sriracha mayo, and a pint. Sat down and was told a few minutes later that sandwiches are not made to order, all made in the morning so can't make one without mayo. Refund was given in cash, as was an extra refund as charged me for two pints not one, when I asked why couldn't refund card said they couldn't as didn't know how and thought policy was refunds in cash.

Amazing food, great atmosphere, very good cocktails. Went in for a Sunday lunch and got the 2 courses deal, quite a good price for what we got. Would recommend if in the area!

Booked for Sunday lunch for 6 Ran out of certain wines ran out of starters. Cheek to add £30 service charge with an extra £87 which apparently was the tills fault. Not the best service to warrant a tip. Restaurant is far too dark it’s not an ambience by any means it’s depressing. Wouldn’t return

We used to visit here once a month after our Saturday shopping trips. Sometimes as a family of 5, sometimes more. Staff were always lovely & accommodating with our 3 kids, prams etc. Found there is a lot of new staff and most recently a new menu. To start off the kids menu is woeful, no favourites such as chicken strips or fish fingers, however the kids burger is great value & always a winner. We booked a table last Saturday, ordered our food (sharing platter & kids burgers) also some drinks. Wine glass was smelly, like a dirty dishwasher smell so I asked for another glass & was given an even dirtier glass from what looked like a manager!?!? A waitress happened to notice & got me a clean, polished glass. Great stuff! We then waited over an hour for our food. We asked twice what was keeping it as we noticed tables who came in after us were all eating and our kids were getting restless. When we got our sharing platter it was burnt onion rings, over cooked chicken that we could see was being kept warm under the kitchen hot light, shop bought tasteless breaded scampi balls & skinny chicken wings. Not great at all but we had waited that long we didn’t bother complaining. Kids burger was great as always but felt really disappointed on this visit. There are plenty of other city centre restaurants with better food & service so I’m afraid it will be a while before we return.

My first ever trip to the city of Belfast and was out exploring the city centre enjoying the night life when got caught up in a heavy down pour trying to make our way to another bar when we stumbled upon Henry's and this place didn't disappoint. It was a Sunday night so it wasn't too busy but comfortable and warm to relax and dry off and taste some more local Irish lagers and take in some live rugby on the TV. The young lad serving behind the bar was very professional and very smartly dressed and just made this bar even more great but I did need to know a bit more of the history behind the whole jailhouse building etc so I asked the young bar lady who was walking by and she was so friendly and helpful and gave us some background history and told us to visit another nearby bar for a ghost tour and gave us a flyer, we also asked for some advice etc about Belfast as it was my first time here and she was so helpful. Great bar, great staff and will definitely come bk again for food and a drink nxt time in this great city.

In Belfast on a mini break and having been to Henry's for a drink the night before we decided to return to try the mid week special. 2 mains and a bottle of wine for £29.95. Not much to choose from but the fish and chips and the fish with chorizo were top notch with a lovely red cabernet sauvignon. Friendly staff and chilled atmosphere makes this a fab find.

£19.50 for 3 pints of local beer. I / we thought we were doing them a favour by having a beer in a virtual empty pub, now I know why, this is why people are choosing not to go to pubs, that’s why they are all closing, piss-take.

Our first time trying the food here. I had a chicken burger & chips, very tasty & plenty of chicken. My partner had fish (massive) & chips. The waiter asked us what wine we would like as there was a midweek offer on. Bottle of rose arrived in an ice bucket with 2 glasses. Nice 😊 The whole meal was £29.95.. Worth every penny. We've been for drinks before when it was v busy with football on & felt the staff werent customer focused. Maybe it's better service when less busy? Anyhoo, will be back for the midweek deal!!!

Historic little spot, nice and quirky. Very busy when we went, the staff are very genuine and friendly, very quick to offer more drinks. Working in the hospitality sector and based in London myself I can tell this place is very well managed. Able to cope with a lot of people while still offering a bit of Belfast charm for everyone. Very well done guys!!

It used to be good when it first opened. Unfortunately has went down hill. Way to warm in the bar, slow service and grumpy, unfriendly door and bar staff. Better service elsewhere

A group of us had dinner here recently and whilst it wasn't awful , the experience could have been better ! The food was tasty enough but apart from the fish , which was huge , the other portions were a tad sparse. It wasn't cheap either , about £17 for the beef and Guinness stew with mash ! Service was friendly but pretty slow , we wouldn't be hurrying back .

We have been in a number of times before and previously the food was always very good with reasonable portions. However our recent visit we noticed things had changed. Prices for drinks were charged more than the menu suggested which is strange to say the least. The steak we ordered was a sirloin it resembled more like a mini frying steak that got shrunk in the microwave. The chips resembled something from mcdonalds on a smaller scale. Maybe it's a sign of the times cut backs to save money however I won't be going back to somewhere that obviously doesn't appear to care about taking advantage of its customers after this experience.

No hace falta decir que decidimos por qué gastar nuestro dinero aquí y ser tratados así y ¡nos fuimos a otra parte! Estaba hablando con otra pareja y dijeron lo mismo, pésimo personal, pésima actitud y que evitarían a toda costa! ! !

Con ganas de gastar más dinero en el lugar y haciendo la vista gorda ante la comida que se está limpiando, sigo sin querer preguntar si hay cócteles "no. El lugar todavía está lejos de su capacidad.Justo antes de que la compañera de lockdowny estuviera en casa con su mamá y nuestro otro perro y el personal le gritó porque el cachorro estaba sentado en su abrigo encima del sofá (un pub que admite perros que tiene fotos de perros en sofás en sus medios ), por lo que fue un toque y listo que incluso entraríamos en la premesis.He trabajado en hostelería de forma intermitente durante la mayor parte de mi carrera y puedo decir honestamente que no hay excusa para esta total falta de comportamiento profesional. Hay personal experimentado del bar (no yo) desesperado por trabajar en este momento, así que ver esta falta de supervisión es irritante.Nosotros no regresaremos.

The food we had was fantastic, and the drinks were even better. But our server Clodagh stole the show, her service was great and she was so welcoming! A credit to Henry's. We will definitely be back!

Went here on Saturday evening around 8 pm to pass half an hour before we went to our booking at another venue . Seemed like a lovely bar with live music going until we had to use the toilets . We explained that we were told the table was ok until 7pm, after a lot of back and forth with different staff about this, eventually they said we would have to move upstairs and have dessert there, we were then moved 2 times due to unsuitable tables. Not good!This so called "Table Turning"!! 2 hours! completely spoiled our day/evening. Have to say the staff service in the bar is terrible. I ordered a beer and had to wait 15mins, the staff do not pay attention to the customers .the problem is evident if they are not checking their phones every 5 mins they are having private conversations with each other instead of making sure the customers are getting full attention.Not a good advertising for a bar that is actually a good place.

We’ve been to Henry’s 4 times in the past several months for lunch with our little 1 year old. It’s a very chilled cool spot and nice and spacious. No problem getting a simple mash, veg and gravy for the wee one.Staff are always great and very friendly and helpful. Always a lovely chilled atmosphere. The manager in the restaurant is lovely and always has a wee chat with us. We’ll continue to go to Henry’s for lunch. Cheers guys see you soon!

Good fresh food and huge bar. It has a very dark atmosphere, perfect for a romantic date out. Drinks are a bit on the expensive side but nonetheless highly enjoyable lunch.

Mi esposa y yo vinimos aquí para almorzar recientemente. Tuve la sopa de mariscos que tenía una gran variedad de pescado, así como trozos de papa servidos en un rico y cremoso caldo. Mi esposa tenía los tacos César de pollo que ofrecían 3 tacos llenos de pollo, tocino crujiente y hojas de ensalada servidas con salsa y queso parmesano. La comida estaba deliciosa. Lamentablemente, cuando llegó la factura, nos cobraron un par de artículos que no teníamos. Cuando se le preguntó sobre esto, la camarera muy útil lo resolvió de manera rápida y eficiente.

Came in for lunch, food was excellent! Warm and inviting and Clouda our server was amazing! She couldn’t do enough for us and she’s a credit to the place! Would highly recommend

My friend asked for chips instead of polenta cake and we were told chef allowed absolutely no substitutions at all. Told we were very lucky we had the table for 15 mins over 2 hours although they did find us another table. For a restaurant music was too loud to talk. Mussels did not come with anything to put the shells in making things awkward. The food was however lovely but will not be back.

Had a fantastic night. Amazing food. The best part was the server Eimer who paid so much attention to detail and made us feel so welcome. Will def be back. Don’t let someone like that go!
