Excellent pub, good food and very reasonable prices.

Always love calling in here when I'm in Halifax

Clueless staff and too busy chatting not servicing the bar. Way too many TVs you couldn't look in any direction without at least 2 being in view and they were all showing something despite there being two bands on!! I imagine this could be a great place with the right staff and not trying to be a sports bar and a music venue at same time. No one goes to watch a live band and a boxing or football match at the same time. Despite being an "Irish" bar the no one had been taught how to pour Guinness. Sorry, I think this is my first ever negative review

Excellent Sunday roast. Very good value for money.

Food quality is perfect for the price! Was presented amazing, tastes great and will definitely be back. Connor the manager was superb... no job was too big for him and he handled every request so nicely!

Well this place has appeared out of nowhere and all I have to say is WOW. Just love the place. Popped on for a sneaky drink and stayed for Sunday Lunch. Food top notch and the interior is bob on 👍🏼 I will definitely be returning. Keep up the good work guys 👏 👏

Brilliant bar and good food, lovely staff.

We did the bottomless brunch and it was honestly amazing! The food was to die for so thanks to the chef! Oliver, Evan Mustafa have been amazing! All the staff are top notch but these three gave us spectacular service and my partner and I throughly enjoyed our time here! Thank you for making our time so good ❤️

I have not tried the food, so I can not comment on that. But the atmosphere and music are always great. From pool/snooker tables, dart boards, and multiple screens showing sport. This place has something for everyone. The live bands/singers have been fantastic each time I've visited. Definitely recommend 👌

Visit made on a quiet Wednesday afternoon few people there so no atmosphere. Food very mediocre

Went in here a couple of times whilst staying in Halifax, what a fabulous bar. Feels like you are in Dublin without the Dublin pricing 😃 Don't think I've ever been into such a friendly bar where all the staff are just ace, well done to everyone who works there 👍❤️

If you’re female get ready to be ignored at the bar in favour of literally every male - even the ones who aren’t waiting to be served. I eventually had a male customer who was sitting at the bar offer to pretend to be ordering a drink to get the staff members attention for me to be served - and she looked absolutely disgusted to have to give me her time. She was having a much better time sipping her monster and having a chat.

. guy behind the bar whose name was CK i think had a stinking attitude when asked a simple request and we were spoken to like we were stupid. He was abrupt and condescending. Disappointing experience and lost out on money from good paying customers. 1 drink and left. Avoid.

Came here to watch the FA Cup Final and Championship Play Off Final and both days were really busy but they didn’t have enough staff behind the bar. When I went for the Championship Play Off Final I had been waiting for half an hour and still not been served so left and went to Duke of Wellington. Hopefully they learn a lesson and have more staff behind the bar next time.

On a bank holiday weekend it could be bad enough then throw in a football play off final with Leeds playing in the final the place was chocka but extremely enjoyable. The staff were excellent the drinks went down a treat and the two Sunday Roasts were exceptionally good and lovely.

Great pub for the football and also lives band on a weekend really friendly staff.

I went to watch the football on the Big Screen It was an FA CUP game and everyone was Drinking and Having a Laugh. The food was good too thanks.

Wow, how old do I feel. 100 people tops in the place, oldest person in there (before I got in) was probably 35. Man in the loo wanted to spray me with whatever cologne I was not wearing and prices are slightly higher than average.

Really, really fun nightclub. Friendly patrons and a nice atmosphere. We didn't eat but will likely return for the Irish breakfast!

Food good service good and rest room good clean

The chicken burger was excellent and the onion rings were to die for, some of the best food you'll get in any pub.

Went here due to having the half price food through January, was absolutely beautiful so much so went the day after too, can highly recommend the pie and the onion rings were crispy and delicious

Wow what can I say , I visited this state of a bar on Christmas eve and it was probably the worst experience of the year , overly agressive bouncers who felt the need to escort me out for no reason ( baring in mind im a small adult male who if you looked at would cause no threat to anyone?) when asked for a reason funnily enough they didn’t have one - genuinely didn’t feel lgbtq friendly at all and honestly felt a bit victimised - won’t be going back anytime soon due to my terrible experience - this combined with the horrible sticky floor and less friendly staff I wouldn’t recommend.

Fab night here the venue and staff are fantastic just be very carful because it is such a good place in fax there were one person who did look like he was an abductor didn’t take his eyes off of my nephews girlfriend cctv reviled he may of been up to no good the staff place and venue is great just hope this was a one off …… drink carefully be safe, carful don’t ever be alone and have your wits about you at all times (such a shame we have to do this but could of happened anywhere) 💙

Guinness is too cold to have a taste 😔😔, although I did have two pints just to make sure 😀

Stopped here for a couple of drinks. Was very lively inside which was nice to see and the service was very quick. Tons of places to sit and novely decorated. There are sports screens absoloutely everywhere, I didn't come here to watch sport but it would be incredible for it.

Fantastic mixed grill. Them chips were the best ever. BUT they turned the football on to ridiculous noise level

Opted for the Irish curry and fish cakes. Lovely Irish bar and the added charm of Irish music blasting through. Plenty of sports showcased throughout in the TVs, very good pricing for the various food options on offer. Good spot to grab a bite.

Nicely renovated pub with atmosphere good service and food with good live bands

Food was a bit sub par. Beers were alright and the live band they had on were great.

Went for a few drinks, the bar staff were very attentive! Quickest service in town! Great live band as well.

To be honest it was a flying visit towards the end of the night. It was busy,noisy and I would think most people had been there a good few hours. The security was excellent, they were on top of any trouble causers and encouraging them to leave without being too obvious. There was a band playing and people were enjoying the music. We didn't eat there so cannot comment on food. My friend went to the bar so cannot comment on service.

This bar was very busy as there was a gig locally It was a while till we got served and the drinks were more expensive than previous pub we had been in Loved the decor of the place. Toilets were clean so big tick there We saw people eating on other tables and it all looked very tadty

Went to mccaffertys and ordered food but ended up having to leave due to a family emergency. Asked if the food could be done to takeaway and this wasn’t an issue at all. Thoroughly enjoyed the cheese burger I ordered and the chips and was excellent value for money. Highly highly recommend excellent customer service and friendly staff

What an experience. Had an after party here after a wedding. The staff were phenomenal. The food was amazing and they catered to our needs all night until they closed at 1am. Highly recommend anyone going here

Plenty on menu to choose from,we both had the fish and chips which came with mushy peas and curry they were delicious, had a couple of pints of Guinness couldn't find fault great value for money,when next in Halifax we will definitely be going back.

Great atmosphere with good service. Plenty of tables, chairs and TV for sports. Also a pool table at the back near the toilets.

We called here for a bite to eat at lunch time, first impressions were great large pub, the place was lovely and clean the staff were great and not too fussy we were left alone to chat. I would deffo recommend lunch here and especially in January it’s 50% off. Thankyou keep up the good work.

Visited just before Christmas. Not a very inspiring pub, a pseudo Irish decor. Having just visited two other pubs, festively decorated and filled with joyous revellers, it felt like we'd just walked into a wake. Ordered 4 halves of lager, handed over £20, got a fiver and some change back. Was told the cost was £10.20, we'd been paying around £6 elsewhere. No wonder the others look glum! Pub needs to remember it's Halifax not Whitby.

Nice food and venue . Totally unrecognisable from when the pub was “salvation”. Only negatives …my chicken wrap could have down with a lot more spice and my partner said her burger was tasty but a bit more flavour in the actual burger like onions etc would have been better . Will definitely visit again .

The Friday before Christmas and as a party of 40 we just turned up at lunch time asking if they could accommodate us all for food and they agreed. Lots of changes to the menu to accommodate fussy kids later, and they amazingly somehow managed to get all the meals out at the same time, fresh, hot and to excellent quality. The service was exceptional. Having worked in the industry I know how difficult a task this will have been.

Been a few times and usually good service and good food. Unfortunately, the last two times I've been, those behind the bar have not looked interested in serving the people waiting, drinks have been very slow in arriving. The person serving the food was very friendly but the food itself was a bit too oily, so you couldn't really taste anything else. Hopefully just a blip as, for the most part, it's been a decent place to eat/drink.
