Went in to Mazza to order a takeaway. When waiting for the food the chef walked through the empty restaurant which isn’t actually a restaurant anymore, with a lit cigarette. Walked outside the door and smoked the cigarette to then walk in and pick up food from one of the tables at the back. The young girl who took the order didn’t know how to approach the situation, wasn’t very experienced on customer service and stated she couldn’t do anything until the manager came back from delivering food orders. The girl who took the order also lied to someone on the phone saying she had rang the delivery driver of their order and confirmed he was on his way. To which the manager doing the deliveries looked at her and grabbed the delivery bags to leave.

Curry was awful.Cost £50 for 3 of us for a takeaway. Charged , but not received for 1 stuffed paratha and 1 Perswahri nan.It was a pick up ! It was in edible, even Chichahua who loves spicy food didn't eat it.Most of it ended up in the bin!. Would not recommend and we will not be returning!

I don’t normally post reviews online good or bad but this meal has smashed every expectation I had! The food was piping hot when it arrived, incredibly tasty and also great value. My order notes were carefully followed and I even got a few freebies with my meal! 10/10 I can’t fault it.

Was gutted when my favourite Indian take away closed down so tried all others nearby. By far Mazza is the tastiest & best, wish I'd tried it years ago. Can't moan about the cost either.

Order was late arriving after two chase up phone calls to the restaurant at one point I was told I ordered it for 10pm which was a complete lie as my partner generally goes to bed at around 9.30pm on a work day. Now to the quality of the food -,The pickles with the popadoms were tastless and runny, the naan bread was soggy/doughy and had to be chewed like gum. The free bombay potatoes were the size of roasties and the sauce was tastless, the two main dishes a dupiaza and a saag were underwhelming with some peices of chicken dry and overcooked. In the past the food has been very good. Will not be either using them again or recommending them.

We went to the restaurant specifically to collect a takeaway menu. When we ordered, the price was around £5 more than the prices quoted. When we phoned the restaurant to query this, we were told that they were waiting on new menus to be printed. The food was barely edible, obviously reheated and generally disappointing.

Despite some bad reviews on here, we ordered because it was one of the few open on a Monday. We've actually eat before in the restaurant a few times and those meals/service were good. Both meals this time were very good so we would definitely order/visit again. The only thing that let them down was the delivery which was 1hr & 15 mins but to be honest, I'd normally expect an hour for an Indian meal delivery with anything less being a bonus. We will order again. Give it a try.

We made a reservation for this restraint last week, we had confirmation email for 7.30pm, Thursday 2nd September for 4 people. We turned up at the restaurant only to find the chairs on top of tables in two men running about. We said we had reservation we were told restaurant was closed only deliveries were being done. Asked why we were not informed either by email or phone one of men just flapping hand and walked into back door. I accept in these days at moment things happen but good customer service would have been an email or phone call to say it was having to cancel. We will never use this restaurant again as the customer service was rediculous in fact non existent.

Over 1hour and 45 minutes late. Called the restaurant after being 45minutes late to be told it was on its way (we live 3/4miles away). Really disappointed tonight . Waited over an hour and half for our takeaway delivery. Finally ringing to find out when it will be delivered and at same time putting outside light on for delivery person only to find our takeaway is on the door step . Considering how cold it was it must have been there awhile. I get the new delivery issues but you do need to actually tell people you have delivered. A simple ring of the doorbell would have been sufficient. Very disappointed in the service tonight . Will think twice before using you again and we have been regulars for 4 yrs .

I came here with my husband for a quiet dinner - we've been before and had takeaways from Mazza and enjoyed them. We ordered drinks and popadoms which were great. I ordered half a tandoori chicken and my husband ordered a different chicken dish. Our food was served, and I cut into my chicken to find it wasn't cooked through. I could clearly see raw flesh so I called the waiter, who apologised and took my food away. It was a few minutes before my dish was returned to me. I was cautious, but cutting into it again, I could see that it still wasn't cooked through. I ate the side salad and left the rest of the chicken. The guy who I guess is the manager, came over and apologised - he tried to explain to us that it's very difficult to cook chicken in a tandoori oven because it's so hot the outside burns before the inside cooks! He gave us a shot of Tia Maria and a further apology and we ordered desserts. It then took a good while for the waiter to clear our plates and longer still for the manager to bring our desserts.I watched the manager return from the kitchen with two frozen desserts in his hands. He plonked them on the bar, tore off the plastic packaging and unceremoniously up ended them onto plates from behind the bar. He then presented them to us. We requested the bill. They charged for the tandoori chicken. I was surprised, and disappointed. Surely if the food isn't cooked, and the customer doesn't eat it, you don't charge for it. My husband took the bill to the counter and told the manager we weren't prepared to pay for my dish, at which point his attitude changed. We paid the bill for the rest of the meal, got our coats, stood up and left the restaurant without any further acknowledgement or a goodbye from any of the staff. Shame. I liked this restaurant but they seem to be doings lots of takeaways and deliveries and letting the in house service slide.

I don’t even know where to start, once we had been seated after booking a table for 7pm we were moved to the other side of the restaurant, we ordered both food and drinks at the same time pretty much once we arrived and didn’t receive our drinks until 7:40pm. The chef came to our table at about 7:50pm and asked if we had ordered yet which we said we had about an hour ago. The food came out and the order was wrong so we had to wait for the right side dishes to arrive, the food was average I’ve had better in other places in corby/Kettering. The service was so slow we didn’t bother waiting for them to bring the bill over, after complaining we were told we could have our drinks for free which is a joke considering I had a tap water and my boyfriend had a lemonade :) hardly made up for the awful experience we had. They manager joked that it was too busy for them to cope but don’t take on more than you can handle, we weren’t the only ones to complain as the table next to us and others around us had the same poor service

My partner and I ordered a takeaway, the delivery driver left it on the stairs and didn’t come to the front door, rude but okay! Went to tuck in and noticed our order was wrong. I then rang and spoke to the manager, I explained our meal was wrong and the rude driver and was told he would give us our next meal free. Great, so we went to place our order tonight to be told the manager was on his way out and would give us it for £15! We explained that wasn’t what we were promised and was called liars by the guy who had took our call. Think it is disgusting to not honour their promise. Ordered a takeaway on Sunday. We went in to order and the man was very very rude (there was no-one in the restaurant and no-one waiting so hardly stressed!) We ordered a few dishes and was told it would be 15 mins once he finally took our order (he answered the phone rather than take our order and talked to a mate for quite a while). After over 20 minutes we chased the order and it came straight out so god knows how long it had been ready. Got it home to find no rice but bombay potatoes! Partners curry was OK, naan was AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL over cooked hard YUCK. My curry was nice, would have been better with the rice we ordered and paid for. Overall poor service. With so many choices in Corby heaven knows why they think they will get repeat business behaving like that.

When the poppadoms came out, we knew we were in for a treat because the sauces were of a good thick quality rather than the runny stuff you sometimes come across. The starters were of a good quality and the shami kebab was excellent. The main meals were of equal quality with plenty of meat and a nice consistent not too thick sauce with fresh herbs and spices.Overall, a very good meal in very nice surroundings and the price was very reasonable. We did not receive a Chicken Tikka Massla Balti instead we received just a Chicken Tikka Massla. Not only is this dish much cheaper than what we paid for but it also doesn’t come with a naan bread. I went to Mazza with my two children aged 16 and 10 for a meal out to celebrate my son's birthday. It was a Sunday evening and fairly early so it was quite empty but there was still a pleasant ambience. The food was very nice, we had no complaints and the service friendly. With poppadoms, starters and mains plus bread and rice, with a pint of cobra for me and two soft drinks each for the children, the bill was only £63 which I thought was good value. Nothing wildly out of the ordinary, but just what we wanted. The tandoori king prawns were extra delicious and worthy of a special mention. Would visit again.

We went there 2 people on Sunday night in April 2016 and have the following feedback.Positives:- We thought the £9.95 buffet deal was good value for money, and soft drinks were not too expensive (£1.65 per 250ml glass).- It was a nice atmosphere, the place feels new, good furniture, looks nice.- The food was very nicely presented, I ordered Mixed Schaschlik and that came sizzling on a metal dish.- Food tasted good. The fried rice was very nice. If had to say anything, the Mazza chicken special was a bit too salty.- The cutlery and dishes are very nice. The plates are pre-heated and feel expensive.- The staff give you plenty of attention, and made sure your food was alright.Needs improvement in the following areas:- When you order your drinks/starters, you are offered poppadoms that feels almost insisted upon you. But their price is not mentioned so you feel like it is a small special that all guests get for free whilst you are waiting. In fact this is charged at something like £1.60 per popadam. We enjoyed them, especially the chutney and other sauces that they come with. I really think they are nice. But it's good to know the price of what you order and in this kind of environment it is awkward to ask. The waiter needs to say the price of everything they offer (especially to first time customers) so the customer doesn't feel the need to ask. But I think this is still not bad value.- Waiting time is OK, but could do better given that we were the only customers in the whole place for almost all of the time.- This is the most important bit. The waiter tried to make friendly conversation, which is perfectly fine but there are limits. Which country you are from is a good question, and how long you have been in Corby, what languages do you speak. But we felt this has gone too personal and became too frequent: What do you do, where are your workplaces, where did you study... Maybe still OK.. But after that, questions about life, age, relationship status and some unnecessary comments about money. The waiter was not meaning any harm of course, and I wish him well.Overall 4 stars, if you like Indian/Bangladeshi food, you will not be disappointed.

I decided to come here while I was in Corby for the day as Indian is one of my favourite cuisines. Unfortunately coming here proved to be the wrong decision as there were issues with every single course. While the food wasn't all bad and there were some good points, the number of problems were simply overwhelming. Food tasted nothing like it was supposed to, the colours were wrong and the papadums were soft to name but a few issues. The service is slow here as, instead of preparing your starter first and then cooking your main course while you eat it, they cook everything at once, leaving you with a long wait for your food and a main course that has been sat around for ages. Don't even think about complaining here either, even if items are missing from your order or you are served inedible food. You are likely to have the staff laugh in your face or lie to you. That is how little they care. The menu here is pretty standard for an Indian restaurant, being of a considerable size and listing most of the dishes you would expect to find. There were a reasonable number of starters, which were varied enough offering various kinds of chicken, lamb or vegetable dishes. Prawn dishes were available as well, but several of these were similar with only minor changes, which made them seem somewhat repetitive. Surprisingly there seemed to be a number of dishes from other countries on the menu, with dishes from countries such as Pakistan and Nepal making an appearance here. English dishes were obviously here as well in the usual form of chicken, fish or omelettes. The chef's specials seemed reasonably extensive, but several of these were either similar amongst themselves, or similar to something else listed in other sections of the menu. Aside from these, the rest of the menu was the usual range of curries, tandoori dishes, rice and bread. The dessert list was the usual list of pre-packed items rather than anything homemade although, with only eight or ten different options, it was much smaller than usual and most of the desserts were similar, limiting the amount of variety even more. While I was here, I decided to shake up my usual order a little and try something different for my main course. As usual though, I started with some papadums with the chutney tray followed by the tandoori mixed starter. For my main course, I selected murgh achanak from the chef's specials section, before finishing with chocolate coronet pavlova for dessert. I also ordered a mango lassi to drink. The mango lassi was definitely not right. A lassi should have a consistency somewhere between milk and yoghurt, but here it was between milk and water, being much closer to water than it was milk. The colour was wrong as well, with it being an exceptionally light yellow, much like the flesh of a banana. The drink was also overloaded with an enormous amount of ice. Usually this is a problem with lassis as when the ice melts, two separate layers develop in the drink. However, with the drink basically being water anyway, this didn't happen here. I still found that there was far too much ice though. A thick layer of froth had developed on top of the drink, which didn't taste particularly pleasant and did nothing of any value for it. Despite so many negative aspects, it was still a rather enjoyable drink as it had a pleasant sweet flavour. Unfortunately it simply wasn't as it should have been and even the flavour didn't taste at all like mango. The chutney tray with the papadums consisted of mint sauce, mixed pickle, mango chutney and onion salad. When there was a bit of a wait for the papadums and they arrived hot, I thought it was brilliant that they had been cooked to order. However, the moment I broke a piece off, I realised that they were wrong. Since they had been freshly cooked, they clearly weren't stale. However, as they were so soft and chewy, they seemed as though they were. The flavour wasn't right either as they tasted like chickpeas and not much else. The mint sauce was definitely not right as it tasted sweet and fruity with there not even being the slightest hint of mint. With this being a bright yellow colour and extremely runny as well, something definitely wasn't right, so I asked the waiter to confirm what it was supposed to be. However, he verified that it was indeed mint sauce. The mixed pickle contained several different kinds of fruit and vegetables, all of which were rather large in size. Unfortunately all of these were incredibly mushy, with a consistency almost like that of purée. Usually with Indian pickle you get a mix of pickle flavour and spiciness. Here it was pure spiciness though, with not even the slightest hint of pickle. Given that I love spicy food, this actually worked really well for me, which made it a real shame that the fruit and vegetables within were so bad. The mango chutney was absolutely vile. Once more, this was the wrong colour as it was a very bright red. As soon as it entered my mouth, there was an overpowering sickly sweet burst, which quickly dissipated into complete and utter blandness. The onion salad was pretty much entirely yellow onion, with there only being one or two bits of cucumber and tomato here and there. There were no spices or marination to improve the flavour and it was simply left as it was. Despite this, I actually quite liked it as I really like onion and the flavour of this particular vegetable was really strong. The mixed tandoori starter consists of chicken tikka, lamb tikka, a chicken wing and a sheek kebab. Rather than being served plain, potato and onions come mixed into the dish with them, while a side salad is also provided on a separate plate. Chicken tikka is usually more tender than regular chicken. It was not tender at all here though, with it actually being somewhat tough. The meat itself was pretty average on the flavour side of things but the sauce, in which it was marinated, provided some nice spices and a fantastic flavour which worked really well with the chicken. It was pretty much identical for the lamb tikka, which was tough and fatty with an average flavour. This too had been marinated in some slightly spicy sauce, which worked really well with the flavour of the lamb. The chicken wing was undoubtedly the best thing that I had while I was here as the meat was so incredibly tender and juicy straight off of the bone. To make things even better, there was no fat at all. The sauce they had used seemed a rather odd choice for an Indian restaurant though as it was no different from ordinary barbecue sauce. There was quite a lot of this sauce on it and this, coupled with the fact that this dish was served sizzling, meant that it wasn't best suited for finger food. The sheek kebab was completely strange, with this being yet another thing here that was certainly not right at all. There was no flavour of meat at all, with the only flavour being jasmine all over. A few spices had been added to the meat but, just like the meat flavour, they were completely undetectable. The lamb was also hard on the outside, while the centre was soft like mince. The potato in the dish was actually rather good, being soft, fluffy and flavoursome, which was further boosted by the plentiful herbs in which they were coated. The fried onions were somewhat sweet, but not too much and these too were definitely enjoyable. The side salad consisted of lettuce, tomato, cucumber and carrot. All of these were simply average though and no dressing or anything had been used to improve the flavour.Murgh Achanak is supposed to be a chicken breast stuffed with cheese and spinach, covered in a curry sauce. It also came with onion rice on the side. Unfortunately my dish did not come as described on the menu as there was no cheese or spinach to be found anywhere. It turned out that the chef had forgot to stuff the chicken! The chicken breast was actually really good as it was rather tender and incredibly flavoursome. It was a rather dry piece of chicken though, although personally I don't mind that at all. Whatever the curry sauce had been made from, it was just odd as, despite clearly not being burnt, it tasted simply of a burnt sort of flavour and nothing else. The onion rice was exceptionally dry. It didn't seem any different from ordinary fried rice though, other than the fact that there was the odd small bit of moist onion in it on very rare occasions. The chocolate coronet pavlova consisted of small pieces of meringue on top of something unidentifiable, which was on top of chocolate ice cream. Dark chocolate was then wrapped around the entire dessert apart from the top. The meringue on top was soft and extremely crumbly. The moment I placed a piece inside my mouth, it practically dissolved instantly. While it was somewhat sweet in flavour, it wasn't as sweet as meringue usually is, which I found rather disappointing. Whatever it was that was below this was impossible to identify, but it was hard and sticky with a very icy consistency about it. This was absolutely disgusting as it was so sweet that it was beyond sickly. The layer of chocolate ice cream below this was clearly low budget as it had a thick texture to it, while it was also full of chunks of ice. While it didn't taste like much at first, it provided a strong sickly aftertaste. The dark chocolate around the outside was extremely thin but, rather than tasting like chocolate, there was only an unpleasant strong bitter flavour. With there being so many sickly things in this dessert, it was inedible. Attempting to eat this was absolute torture and I only managed about a sixth before I decided that I could no longer put myself through it.The service here was terrible from beginning to end. No matter how hard I try, I cannot think of a single good thing to say about it. When I arrived at the restaurant, it was completely empty and there wasn't a single member of staff in sight. I called out after hearing someone in the back room, but there was no reply. I waited somewhere between five and ten minutes before somebody, who I believe may have been the manager, emerged from the kitchen to greet me. Communication with this man proved to be extremely difficult as he barely spoke any English. In fact, his English was so bad that he didn't understand the word 'table' and I had to point to one to explain to him what it was. How somebody can work in a restaurant in the UK and not know the word 'table' is beyond me as they must surely hear the word every day. This guy proved to be exceptionally awkward throughout the whole evening as he constantly walked past my table with a huge grin plastered over his face while giving me two thumbs up on outstretched arms. Later on I witnessed him shouting loudly at the waiter in his own tongue, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. The service was incredibly slow here as, after my papadums were delivered, I had to wait over 35 minutes for my starter to arrive. When I enquired as to why this was, I was told that they cook the starters and the main courses so that they both finish cooking at the same time. This seems like an unusual way to do things as it meant that the main course was sat around being kept warm for quite some time and it would have been longer if I hadn't asked for it to come out as soon as I had finished my starter. When my main course had arrived and I discovered that the chef had forgot to stuff the chicken with cheese and spinach, I complained to the waiter, telling him that it wasn't there. However, in reply, he told me that it was there. I ensured him that it wasn't and asked him to point it out to me, but he was unable to do so and simply stated once more that it was there, even though it clearly wasn't. It didn't take me long to realise that we were going round and round in circles and that he was flat out lying, so I soon dropped the matter. After being served an inedible dessert, I complained to the manager as he walked by my table. Instead of offering me a replacement, he simply stood there laughing at me in response, repeating the word horrible over and over. I'm not quite sure why he found it so funny that the food they serve here is so bad. When I asked for the bill, the waiter just stood there staring at me for a few minutes, completely ignoring me. It wasn't until later, after another customer walked in and placed a takeaway order, that he decided to do anything about it. I then complained to him about the inedible dessert, but all he did about it was agree that it was inedible and still made me pay for it.The prices here are pretty typical for an Indian restaurant and the portion sizes seem to be standard as well. While they charge for the chutney tray here, at 50p per head, it isn't all that much and it only becomes overpriced if you are in a large party. If you eat in, the prices are more expensive than they list on their website. Starters are priced between £3 and 5 while main courses are between £7 and £13. The desserts then cost between £3.50 or £4.50, unless you order the child's dessert, which costs £3. Nothing on the menu really stood out as being a bargain, but nothing stood out as being overpriced either. It's definitely not the cheapest Indian restaurant out there, but the prices are reasonable enough. The restaurant has gone for a more modern look rather than a traditional Indian one and the interior looks rather sleek. Each wall inside the restaurant is a different colour with one being green, another purple and another orange, while the remaining one is covered in some floral wallpaper. In terms of decor, there are a few large sort of abstract paintings of squares around the place, which are rather repetitive, particularly as two of them are completely identical. Aside from these, there is also a small painting of a silhouette of a dancer, while there are also a number of potted plants about the place in various sizes. In terms of seating, there a total of eleven tables, which are mostly for groups of four or six, as there are only two tables for two. The restaurant is large enough to accommodate more tables as there is a lot of space between all of them. However, this place doesn't seem to be particularly popular as a restaurant as, everybody who came in ordered a takeaway instead.

Two of us popped in to Mazza after visiting Corby for work, only due to the previous good Trip Advisor reviews. The food was delicious and the service friendly. When we left we commented that we'd go here again if we were ever nearby.

I took my teenage granddaughter to Mazza for dinner today and it was totally classy in ever respect. Perfect ambiance, perfect service, perfect food. If I had to describe my experience in a single word it would be posh. I will be returning with more family and friends now that I know how great it is.

Take away serviceMazza has consistently delivered good food which our families love eating. No problems in delivering to our address on a Saturday night. Always service with a smile and adding a few extra touches every week. I can certainly say that we're happy to continue ordering and love the food.I should also mentioned that we booked another 20+ reservations couple of weeks ago and it was a great night out. Good service and atmosphere and they ensured that we always had our glasses full.

Ordered online on a Saturday so expected a bit of a wait, said it would be an hour and 20 mins. After waiting an extra 20 minutes after this time we still hadn't recived our food, rang and was told it was a Saturday so they were busy and it would be another 10minutes. Our food finally arrived just over 2 hours after ordering!! We spent a little extra to get one of the offers, most of this offer was missing. The food itself was below average, burnt naan and bland curry. Having just moved to the area we trusted reviews. Not sure if they were just having an off night but we won't be ordering from there again!

First time eating at Mazza and what a lovely experience from start to finish. The restaurant is very modern well laid out. The waiting staff are attentitive but not intrusive. The menu is outstanding, there is so much choice not just your usual dishes but many different ones, such that my husband who is a Chiken tikka bhuna fanatic actually tried a Mazza special dish and really enjoyed it. My food was superb all freshly prepared. There was a large party in the restaurant however the staff managed all the orders drinks etc with out any of the other restaurant guests having to wait for their orders to be taken or served. It was a fabulous evening thank you we will be back!

Absolutely disgusting. Nothing was edible and the Maaza staff were unhelpful. Burnt Saag Paneer, soft papadoms, soggy chips, horrible tasting expensive fish dish. I'll never use these again. Maaza couldn't give a toss about the quality of their takeaway food. They refused a refund and told us to go through Just-eat to complain!!

I spotted this restaurant in TripAdvisor and fancied a change from the normal fare in Peterborough. I was not disappointed when I arrived. The restaurant is very modern and cosy and the wait staff are very friendly and informative. In fact when I was ordering my main meal, the waiter explained that they could cook anything I wanted and that the menu was more there as a starting point.I ordered a cider while I read the menu and then had an onion bhajee for a starter followed by a Chilli Chicken Byan with additional chillies, pillau rice and a Roti. The food was very very good, none of the food was oily and all tasted fresh and delicious. This is worth a try.

This was an absolute find. Back in my youth I would go to a brilliant place just outside Manchester and have an amazing curry with friends. And I have to say until now have not had a curry up to this standard, well until going to Ali's.
