Mayflower Chinese Takeaway in Cannock Chase

The crispy shredded beef and chicken were overcooked. The rest of the order was fine.

Reasonable priced, and big portions. Not a bad Chinese takeaway at all.

The beef chow main & the chicken fried rice was really really greasy .. BBQ Ribs were cold and the meat was dry yet in a lot of sauce?.. Cantonese chicken was tasteless the fried chicken was also cold.. most of it is in the bin .. Really disappointed totally wasted £60 and spoilt a Saturday night 🤦‍♀️

New to the area. Food was tasty, order was quick. Looking forward to using again.

Food was delivered on time the mixed meat rice only contained chicken and a tiny amount of pork, the pancake roll was just bean sprouts , rice with bbq sauce was congealed and just warm, the bbq ribs were the best part of the meal very tender and meaty

Vegetable satay had too much chilli in it, I couldn’t eat it

Fried Rice was very greasy, and the curry was very garlicky not what I’d expect from a Chinese curry

Can I just ask how the same meal at wing shun is £15 cheaper plus then you had the £5 deliveryand service charge , we only tried to order on line as could pay on card . We always have wingshun and we will now stay ordering with them .

Please close this place down. That was the most disgusting Chinese food I have ever tried. I feel physically sick after forcing a small amount of it down me. Cheapest beef ever, filthy taste, awful sauces especially the chilli, raw carrot, I could go on.... vile. I expect a refund. Our order was placed about 8pm on Saturday 3rd Feb, WS15 1JT.

Terrible service. They forgot my chicken balls when I called to speak to them they had an argument in the back ground and basically said I was lieing. The food arrived cold and horrible. So disappointed, won’t be ordering from here again.

Food was delicious! First time ordering from Mayflower but will definitely order again. The only thing that puts us off is the price.

Making my way through the menu and not one disappointing meal yet. I would definatly recommend this restaurant.

Food wasn't great chips ws like this afternoons and it wasn't very hot at all very disappointing

The prawn toast was off which meant we were unable to eat any of the other food we ordered which in itself was cold. The restaurant refunded us £13 in cash but it was hugely disappointing after spending so much.

Got my order wrong but it was very quickly and smoothly fixed! Couldn’t reach them via the phone because nobody was picking up but thankfully they realised the mistake before I could get through. Food was good and arrived hot :)

The chow main was like mush , the noodles cut into small chunks like tinned spaghetti. Tasted ok but just a mush

2 hrs from order to delivery when eta was 35 mins totally unacceptable will never use again

Tofu was decent, really wasn't impressed with other items - rice smelt odd, chips were overpriced and not like others I have had previously. Vegetables were on the turn.

Why the hell is going on!!! We ordered 2 steamed rice, 1 chips and a chicken with lemon sauce cost £17.00 The portion size is really small and the lemon sauce is in a small pot! Not only are the prices really high but they have cut the portions down! Joke! The annoying thing is the food is nice! Won’t be using here again!

Reviews on here don't seem to tally with my experience. Price is reasonable *except the drinks 😉* Everything always hot and fresh. Only slight gripe would be some portions are a little small.

Awful food. Used to use the Mayflower a lot. House special fried rice was to die for. God knows what happened.

All food delicious and hot. Came early too which was great

First ever order and most definitely the last. Chung Pau beef was dry with no sauce whatsoever and the few bits of beef were inedible as the meat was tough as leather and full of gristle. Awful meal.

Worst Chinese in Rugeley in terms of taste. Only use it as it is the only one you can pay with card, it’s ok after a few drinks but wouldn’t order from there if I had cash on me. Service and delivery time is good.

Terrible food - the mixed hor d’oeuvres were covered in some kind of chilli and garlic sauce and very soggy and the wings and ribs were cremated and dry - never using that place again worst Chinese I’ve ever had!!!

Worst Chinese I’ve ever had!!! I ordered the salt and pepper mixed hor d’oeurves which came all covered in some sort of chilli and garlic sauce, unpleasant and made everything soggy, the ribs and wings were cremated and dry and the yuk sung tasted exactly the same as the sauce on everything else. Worse Chinese ever, certainly will not be using them again

Looking at the reviews normally you would avoid? I have ordered from here on 3 separate occasions and I have not been let down. BBQ ribs are honestly amazing and the rest of the food has been delicious.

Food slightly warm 45 minutes late. Called restaurant 45 mins prior and said it was leaving. Won't rush to go back.

The delivery of my meal was so late it needed the ice chipped away from it prior to being able to reheat it lol. This kind of service not only puts a bad mark against the restaurant/takeaway but just eat as well especially when all just eat offer as compensation is £3.33 against a meal that cost over £20. The driver concerned should be fired as to take twenty minutes to drive four miles is totally unexeptable

Ordered a bbq 3 in 1. Wasn’t expecting loads but .. wow I won’t be ordering from here again. The bbq sauce made up 50% of the tray, and it was black and thick like tar🤢

Food tasted shocking. Worst chinese iv ever tried. Portions overloaded with onions, beef didnt even taste like beef in the chow mein , chicken was gammy, no free prawn crackers and the ones i got was pretty stale. So expensive yet disgusting, wont ever be returning.

The crispy shredded beef tasted burnt and it seemed like there was no beef inside, just a crispy shell of nothing. Very disappointing!

Food was good, hot and tasty. But seemed a bit pricey, especially as we didn't even get any free prawn crackers on a £70+ order!

As always, the food from the mayflower was fresh, tasty, hot, and our order is always 100% perfect every time

Order confirmed at 1738, delivered at 1850 except it was the wrong order, driver then told us he gave our food to someone else and was going to go back to the restaurant to see what will happen next. We called the restaurant at 1904, told we would be called right back. We weren't. Called the restaurant ourselves at 1921, told they were just waiting for the driver to come back. Food was then delivered at 1943. Food was very nice but what a fiasco.

Including delivery spent £27 very expensive for what I brought and what I received wasn’t great not even a free bag of prawn crackers will not order from here again

The food could of been lovely but because it was 30 mins late it was Luke warm rather than hot, a delivery time of 2105hrs-2125hrs turned up at 2210hrs

I paid £18 quid for 2 portions of banana fritters and chips. which tasted absolutely disgusting. I couldn’t even figure out the taste . Was a tiny portion for the price. The chips was chewey. I will never order from here again. I should have listened to the reviews but now I know to. 0 on the order.
