Mayfair Cantonese in Birmingham

Food was below average, no real taste, too much colour and lots of veg instead of meat in my dishes. Probably the worst Chinese I’ve ever had

Purchased 3 different meals. The chicken curry was not cooked. Rang the company they insisted the chicken was cooked. Took a photo of it they didn’t want to know. The entire dish was binned, waste of money.

Ordered our food at 7.30 eta 40 mins to an hour . Now 20.50 and they haven’t cooked it yet and it’s a twenty minute journey. What a joke! At least have the decency to use the update text service you offer. Good job we are not hungry or diabetic. I want a refund

Best local takeaway, great flavours, good portions, fast service & never get an order wrong which is very important. Try the Chicken in a spicy sauce & the spring rolls 😍

Well, it always happens new owners change the menu and the quality. All the chicken dishes taste like it has been boiled 1st. Fillet steak already crossed out on the menu, what a shame great business ruined. Help need a new take away.

BBq spare ribs were the worst I've had, Butterfly prawns were not butterflied but coated in stodgy dough-like crust. Sweet n sour chicken tasteless.

If you are a regular to Mayfair takeaway, as we have been for many years, you may be shocked to hear that it is under new management. This should not be a problem until you order a quarter duck and receive a very small portion, half the size of the old portion! Onions provided to make the pancake was also plain white chopped onion and not spring onion. Not at all good. Customer service 0% when this was raised with them!!! Find somewhere else in Sutton Coldfield for your Chinese takeaway. I don’t normally write trip advisor reviews but felt compelled to do so as extremely dissatisfied all round!

We’ve been going to Mayfair for several years and it always used to be one of our favourite Chinese takeaways around. It has recently completely changed and we have been disappointed for the past few deliveries. I had the crispy duck in plum sauce and it was mainly batter with no sauce, very dry and really not very nice. The crispy shredded chicken is chewy and completely different to how it used to be. Very very disappointing will be going elsewhere in future.

We ordered take away food by phone , we were told it would be ten minutes, it was sat there waiting for us after 10 minutes, it was to quick to have been freshly cooked, the food was stodgy and poor.

W have ordered here quite a few times, order taken efficiently and arrived in good time. Free delivery. Un-fortunately on this occasion the food wasn't good. In particular the orange chicken, I felt the chicken was Processed and didn't taste particularly nice. Other family meals were good. We may choose somewhere else next time.
