Garden Moon Chinese Take Away in Birmingham

The person who answered the call is rude! I rang up to see if the food has any nuts in as I'm allergic. Was told he'd ring me back...he didn't. My partner rang he said no and hung up on him! Absolutely disgraceful.

Such a shame been ordering from this restaurant since lockdown and apart from odd late delivery was fantastic but the last couple of orders have been awful, hours late, items missing and refusal to help! As we pay cash nothing we can do! Will not be using them again!

ZERO STARS! Part of order missing called and was told tough luck! Asked for the missing items to be delivered they refused! It was the ribs missing which very oddly was the items also missing last time. Told me to get refund from just eat but as cash just eat said can’t refund!! Which the restaurant know!

Order hours and hours late and ribs missing again…

Absolute disgraceful. Waited 2 hrs for food. When it came it was cold and loads of stuff missing so had to drive up to there the pick up the rest of our items only to be handed the wrong items again. They are very busy and should realise that they can turn the just eats/uber eats/ deliveroo devices of for an hour to catch up just being money greedy.

We have been receiving deliveries since lockdown and the service abc good was fantastic but unfortunately the last twice there have been items missing and on one order it took hours to turn up. On calling the restaurant they don’t care and said all food was there and to claim back from just eat! Won’t be ordering again!! Once is a mistake more that that is my mistake….

Satay chicken main delivered instead of satay chicken skewers as a starter. Sauce thin and lacked flavour

I ordered szechuan, I've ordered it a few times before and it was great, super spicy and a little sweet. I dont know what I got today but it was not szechuan it was like a liquid gravy soup not a lick of spice. disappointing

Avoid scammers paid £26 for food order and food didn’t even arrive. SCAM

I ordered the fish box with mac and cheese and chips. Rice and peas was sent in addition, which was very nice. The salmon was much spicier than the last two times, but still delicious. The delivery man, however, was VERY RUDE! I regret giving him a tip tbh. I apologised as my phone was on silent after a meeting. He was so discourteous, that I am not sure if I will order from Prince Fari’s again! The driver clearly did not READ the directions on the order so he struggled to find my address!

The first order i had was good but today they haven't delivered my food, taken the money out of my bank & wont give me my money back. KEEP AWAY FROM HERE!

Top quality once again, delivery was a little late but just put it down to the bad weather.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Absolute joke. This is my usual Chinese place, but won't be ordering from again, let alone with Just Eat. Order didn't update until it was due to be delivered. The restaurants number is unavailable so I cannot contact them. It's been almost 2 hours since I ordered. And my refund claim will be responded to "within a couple of days". Wanted to sit down and relax after work but instead going to bed starving so thanks a bunch.

2 hrs and still no food shown up, ordered and said 45 mins delivery time at 7pm.

They app said it was delivered. So we went to drive to the restaurant to say that it wasn’t delivered. On the way we got a call from the driver. Mix up! In the end the delivery was a little late but the food was delicious.

1hr and 30 mins for a Chow Mein and Chips, Rice and curry sauce in a tray. By the time it arrived it was stone cold

I have ordered from here before its been nice this time I waited o er 2 hours my food was stone cold that cold the curry was like jelly and no prawn crackers my kids had given up there friends had gone home as they had to be in by ten was embarrassin

Ordered from here, order missing items. Tried to get in contact with them, calling over 10 times over the last 30 minutes, all calls ring out, no answer. No way to contact them and they have the money as we paid cash.

Great food. chefs listen to special requests although arrives cold on delivery. Not a problem to reheat however when you have spring rolls they just go to mush.

Wouldn’t bother trying to call them they never answer. Food is good but would have been better with my missing items…. Wasted money on something I never got and they won’t answer phone so can’t even get refund for it. Not happy was meant to be for my birthday night in, just spoiled now. Thanks

Food was ordered 6.15pm, due to be delivered between 7.05-7.25pm. was eventually delivered 8.02pm. Requested some money back, restaurant said no money back as driver was stuck in heavy traffic, find that hard to believe we live not even 5 minutes from the shop!! Foid arrived, Chips were overdone and basically the whole order was luke warm/cold!

Food arrived late cold and squashed

Food was barely warm batter on prawns was soft and stodgy .. had to heat up food as rice n noodles were cold - tasteless . Really dissatisfied especially as order was over £25 absolute waste of money … unfortunately we threw most of the meal away .

Actually it never arrived. 3 hours ago I ordered and have ordered now elsewhere. It was due to arrive at 19:30 now gone 21:00pm and kids are starving and should have been in bed at 8, assumed it would be ok since I ordered at 6 but the restaurant is lying and told just eat twice they delivered it then moved my time back. Restaurant refusing to refund even though they haven’t delivered and I live 5 minutes away from them! Joke don’t order from them, they are liars now communicating with just eat

Food was over an hour late and arrived freezing … when I phoned for an update I was snapped at by the person on the Phone , will never order from here again

Ordered via JustEat and nothing arrived. All I had from them was a notification at 1:45 AM saying the food was on its way (almost 3 hours later than when I placed the order). Now im left out of packed and never had anything from them. Avoid like the plague.

Our usual was closed so took a leap trying a different takeaway. Food was delicious, truly blew us away and will be ordering again!

My food was cold. It took about 2 hours to come and when it said it was on the way it took 45 minutes from then.

The chips were over cooked and dry.. the prawns on toast were over cooked and tasteless, the chicken fried rice tasted stale like it was left over from night before and the chowmein was too greasy and had a funny tasted to it.

We bought egg fried rice, Prawns with cashews, wonton soup, chicken and sweetcorn soup and chicken and pork fried rice. fried rice x2 = no flavour just boiled rice. wonton soup = very very salty. chicken sweetcorn soup = very very sweet, far too much sugar, not sure why because sweetcorn would sweeten it. Prawns with cashews = stringy gelatinous green stuffaround the prawns, cashews and cabbage that resembled stuff people blow into tissue. Definitely not for us in future but thank you though 😞

Excellent service and good value for money

Pedimos desde aquí antes y la comida estaba bien, pero esta vez probé pollo limón, mi amigo tenía pollo al curry con arroz frito con huevo y chips de sal y pimienta. El arroz estaba un poco seco, pero ok por lo demás, el curry estaba bien, las patatas fritas eran preciosas. Sin embargo, el pollo limón era asqueroso. El pollo estaba seco como un hueso y la salsa de limón sabía a moho. Tuve que tirarlo y me comí las 4 piezas que no había cubierto de salsa. Solo comer me dio un reembolso, pero no voy a comer de allí de nuevo y si me enfermo voy a denunciarlos!

Ordered at 4pm, was meant to arrive at 5pm. phoned restaurant at 5.15pm told would be 10minutes. Arrived cold at 5.50pm.

The chicken was awful, the sauce was set like jelly and didn't smell appetising at all.

Just collected two portions of chicken sweet corn soup and it’s like they’ve dropped the whole jar of sugar in it. Informed but didn’t care about.

Ordered on JustEat and would happily make it a regular order. Reviews for this place are harsh unless I got luckily. On JustEat they have a 4* rating with 200+ ratings so seems like a lot of people leaving reviews on here are just being rude for no reason. Food was tasty, hot and came early. Delivery driver was really pleasant and nice. They threw in extra prawn crackers and lots of fortune cookies. Portions were a good size and to be honest, their chicken balls are some of the best I’ve had before. Great value for the price too. No complaints whatsoever!

Absolutely disgusted with this place, the food was absolutely disappointing. The yuk sung was foul tasting, smelt out of date and tasted rotten. The rice and noodles were reheated as the bottom of the container was piping hot, the chicken was rubbery and did not sWhen I called to complain and explain I was disappointed and dissatisfied with the service I got told to ‘shut up’ and that he did not like me. I felt it was completely out of order, as a food establishment this place is a health risk.

I live opposite New Kims but they do not offer online ordering service or a card payment on collection so i had to look for a near alternative! i found garden moon.... they offer a quick delivery but i do not agree with the added bagging charge!! ... i ordered 1 dish it was nice and spicy.... i ordered the same dish the next week and it was unedible from how spicy it was!! ......that meal went in the bin tried to contact the owners and their reply was..... you accepted delivery and opened the cartons!!......we delivered your choice from the menu!! so shop around people and choose your regular chinese takeaway!!

The driver told us that it was because the restaurant was being inspected, but the restaurant told us the driver was stuck in heavy traffic so someone isn't telling the truth... we also had two notifications on the app saying the food had been delivered, when it hadn’t. Very disappointed, and I think a two hour food delivery is unacceptable on a Monday night, no less. As a result our children are going to bed every late. now causing havoc! It was supposed to be a nice treat To iterate... very disappointing garden moon.

Had to go to the shop to collect myself. It had been delivered will I was standing in the shop. Had a mixed meat curry chicken in meal did not taste right

DO NOT USE THIS RESTAURANT Absolutely appalling. If I could register a 0 star review I would. Placed an order via their website, it said delivery would be approx 20 mins. An hour later I phoned to get an update. They told me it was out for delivery and to wait five minutes. A further 30 minutes passed so I opened an online chat on their website because I couldn't get through on the phone. I was told that I was talking with foodhub not the restaurant so they couldn't do anything about it because they too were unable to reach the restaurant. I requested for the order to be cancelled several times and to have a refund which foodhub said they would do. At this point almost 3 hours had passed and we'd already ordered an alternative elsewhere and received it! I continued to try to contact garden moon to confirm a refund would be issued. There was an alternative number and email address on the website for complaints which I contacted- both said they would endeavour to contact the restaurant for a refund. They have now said the restaurant is refusing to refund me - £48! I have lodged a dispute on the payment with the bank. Do not use unless you want your money stolen and nothing delivered!!
