I have been buying from Mayling for many years. The manager is very nice, and I appreciate like all businesses they are struggling. But, £8.30 for a prawn chow mein, and £7.70 for dry spate rib pieces. Looking at the photos I took, do YOU think it is value and appetising? No greens or veg to at least make it appear nice, but nothing. Just a greasy mass of stodge. In Chinatown, for £9 you get far superior quality which is where I will continue to go from now on. I called but the manager said: "This is how it has been made for many years, and no one else says anything". If he considers this acceptable, then who am I to say anything as just one customer.

Worst Chinese food I've ever had. Keep away from this place. I chucked everything in the bin. Horrible food. Be alert.

Without doubt the worst Chinese we’ve ever had the misfortune of sampling. The food is bland, definitely not fresh, it smells like it’s off, it looks revolting. It is overpriced and I’d describe what was in the containers as foul.

It’s Friday night at the end of locked down January. We ordered delivery via Just eat. Nothing has arrived but we have been told to “enjoy our meal” which apparently arrived an hour ago. No it didn’t. Please refund us - we spent over £50. I accept it may be Just Eat and not you. But either way we have disappointed kids and we are hungry

He vivido en Camden más de 27 años, ¡no puedo encontrar un chino mejor que aquí! ! La comida es fresca, caliente y deliciosa.

We grabbed some veggie fried rice and dumplings for a quick dinner and were very happy with the value for money. The food was ready in about three minutes too, so this is ideal if you're coming back to Camden late from work.

the special fried rice tasted like water... tasteless, the sweet and sour chicken not even cooked in a crispy batter just doughy. Chicken balls, dough tasted like fresh air, bland and doughy far from crispy and light.. chicken pieces inside were massive, not edible (costed me £20) Good customer service but always empty and deffo not worth the price.

It’s the best restaurant. They do halal food as-well. Their roast duck chow-men is a must try. Best Chinese restaurant in camden.

Very friendly customer service and you get to see into the kitchen which is always great! Would say it’s a little over priced but I guess it’s because the area it’s in.

For many years I have passed by this place on the bus, and for once I was in the area on foot, so decided to give it a go... bad decision. The place obviously lives on takeaways and deliveries. Although there were a series of 8 long tables out front, they were in dire need of a deep clean. You order up at the counter, and the service was really personable, chatty and full of recommendations. We orderd 4/5 dishes and they arrived in minutes. WOW was it bad. Seriously. Food tasted old, it had been prepped hours earlier and flash re-heated in oil/wok/microwave. Very very poor quality. We eat at 3.00 in the afternoon, well after the lunchtime rush, perhaps the food is better at peak times, but we have rarely ever left food on our plates at any other establishment, but here, we couldn't wait to leave.

Honestly, the food is not bad. The chicken curry rice is delicious - chicken is always tender and the curry sauce is not too hot or too sweet - perfect! The staff at the counter is always polite as well. Unfortunately everything is too expensive. As for lunch, a dish of rice with a drink would easily cost you £10 or more! The shop is in a cheap location but they charge even more than those restaurants in China Town!? What is the owner thinking?

I love Chinese food so last night I popped into Mayling on my way home from work. I have eaten from Mayling on many occasions. My usual is Singapore noodles and barbecue ribs. Noodles were great, but unfortunately for the 2nd time in a row the ribs were not nice, they were tough and inedible. My daughter loves Chinese as well and was disappointed I had Chinese last night so we had to have it again tonight! She had veg spring rolls with chicken chow mein and loved it. I had Singapore noodles but decided to forego the ribs, having the squid instead. Both very good dishes. I asked my daughter to mention the ribs were not good on the last two occasions and this did not go down too well.... Apparently they are a popular dish and loved by all that eat them - well not by me! Perhaps the review by another diner saying the food at lunchtime is better was the reason the ribs were not too good in the evening. I think they could have been a little more accepting of criticism and not so defensive - perhaps try to be slightly more humble and apologise for this let down? We will not be ordering take away from Mayling again....

I like this place. Staff is helpful . Food is decent . Like the solid wood bench style tables. Malaysia fried rice / Singapore fried rice / chicken noodle are few nice dishes. Although a little over priced but overall. -Good food.

I made an order and noticed that the prices have been significantly increased. Now, I would never deny any business the right to improve their business but there also has to be so something in it for the consumer, their customer. However, adding 10.6% increases in the menu was quite a shock. Maylings prices are just a short step below that if Chinatowns restaurant prices. Yet the quality us considerably poorer. The chow mein and spare ribs I had last night was so greasy, it was revolting. I became full up not by the food itself but by the repelling of forcing any more grease into my digestive system. I felt sick afterwards and I can't begin to tell you how revolting my farts smelt even for a connoisseur of flatulent pastimes like myself. I blame this on the grease content and not the function of my colon.

I have visited here a couple of times before. Lovely food & great service. I phoned through my order after viewing the menu online & picked up at the time given, all was waiting for me & good to go. Would recommend this place, 5-10 mins walk from Euston train station or grab a Boris bike

I'm quite keen on more new-age Chinese cooking, the boss likes traditional. So May Ling does great traditional stuff. Enough said. Food is always really good and delivery is snappy. Not expensive either.

I not been here in many years but it still remains one of the better Chinese restaurants around. However, while there is no issue with quality if the food (although slightly bland) or service there was a lack of atmosphere ( on the evening). But it did strike me as a little expensive at £100 ( inc 3 x glasses of wine) for what I had. Of the three restaurants visited over my weekend in London this one left me feeling a little under whelmed : just lacked a ‘wow’ factor- which I think, even at this day / age you still need yo justify £100 for a (Chinese) meal

这家餐厅算是伦敦中餐厅中档次比较高的一家,主打上海菜。整家店的装修以蓝色为主色调,服务员都穿着旗袍,特别有味道。菜式比较精致份量较少,但是味道都不错。
