Maximillian Pizza in Wigan

I went to this place and the olives were out of date the chips were cold and the pizza was sloppy dont come here if u want a good pizza

Ordered the Sunday Roast. OMG! What a feast for a fiver. I couldn’t find any fault with it. Amazing amount and absolutely delicious. Well worth the money and more. I should have taken a photo, but was in too much of a hurry to eat it. Well worth a visit to this place. I will take a photo next time as I will be ordering again.

Honestly the best Sunday dinner I've eaten in a long time.. Amazing flavour and a great portion size, kids ate every bit too. We will definitely order again. Thank you

I ordered pizza, cheesy garlic bread and curly fries through Ubereats. The order came a little late, which I wasn't bothered about, but the pizza base was overcooked, black in places. The toppings were nice though. The curly fries were very chewy - obviously done way before and microwaved. The saving grace was the garlic bread, but again not good enough to justify the price of the meal. I won't be ordering again unfortunately.

Just had a kebab from here it was disgusting meat was hard never had bad one from here but this one was bad chewy wife had a pizza she said not as good as usual I left my kebab never been known b4

Ordered at 9.45pm, came just after 11pm. Pizza tasted fine but wasn’t hot. Paid for extra mushrooms and didn’t get any.

Ordered Spag Bol and a Pizza at 7.30pm on a Sunday evening. Advised the delivery would be 8.30pm. At 9.28pm I received a phone call saying they didn’t have the ingredients for a Spag Bol, took 2 hours for them to realise 🤷🏻‍♀️ Then I got told it would be another 20 mins for delivery! Shocking!

Placed a order at 9.50 on a Saturday night and it arrived at 10.20, all order was correct only burger and fries for me and my lad.. all tasted fine. Delivery woman was friendly enough. If I’d read majority of the reviews here beforehand I’d not ordered 😂 but yea can’t complain was all okay for me.

Ordered last night they rang me to cancel my order coz they had ran out of things but it would of cost me 50% to cancel so I rang them back and explained and they just didnt say anything and put the phone down and did pick back up after that never going here again

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!First time we ordered it was 2 hours late,they said they thought we was picking it up,even though they asked for our address.Second time we ordered we asked for a pizza,chips,kebab and dips,on delivery there was no pizza and no dips so had to ring them about no pizza they said sorry but pizza still in oven

New owners - Unfortunately, the thickness and taste of the pizzas have slipped since the new owners have taken over and the cost of the pizzas have skyrocketed. Disappointed. (previously rated 5 stars under old owners) - I know I'll always get a good pizza at Maximillian's. Reasonably priced with friendly service, their pizzas are super tasty and you can even order a 50/50 pizza which is great if you're sharing (one set of toppings one side, different set on the other).

Oh Maximillians what has happened? I’ve been a customer for over 20 years and since the new owners have taken over, I have to say the pizza’s have gone down hill fast, they really are just awful now☹️. The thinnest pizza base I have ever seen and so much grease, not a good combination. You lift a slice to leave a puddle of grease in the tray because it’s soaked through the ridiculously thin base. And why does it look orange? I certainly couldn’t taste Red Leicester on it. £12.40 for a large pizza and 10” garlic bread with cheese. I ate the lot coz I was starving and now I’ve got heart burn and I’M STILL HUNGRY 😔😟😫

Ordered on a number of occasions over the last 10 years, and cant believe how disappointed I am now. Ordered three 10inch pizzas only for them to arrive and all measured at 8 inches

I've been ordering pizzas from Hannah ,Neil & family family for 20 years. The best Bolognese pizza EVER. Now its been taken over its very bad. No deliveries to Atherton anymore. Also really light on toppings. ??????.😭😭

I have been a customer for over 30 years and have experienced the best pizzas ever but recently the family business has been taken over by new owner. Three times in a matter of weeks I have ordered but sadly will not be ordering again as the pizzas are in no way of the same standard. I am absolutely gutted as they were the only pizzas locally that I rated. The new owner should change the name as he is doing Maximillians no favours and ruining their reputation.

Used to order a bolognaise pizza every week but 5he last 3 we've had including tonight sun 23rd Jun. It is horrible the pizza has no taste to it no bolognaise sauce and the French garlic bread is horrible aswell really disappointing won't be ordering from there again don't know if they changed hands or someone else is cooking

Great service! Just visited here for the first time. Very clean restaurant and very polite staff. The food was some of the best I ever had. The pizza was as fresh as can be, onion rings crispy and not soggy, fries very nice and no greasy taste and the garlic bread with cheese topped the meal off. Very happy people . The selection and prices are reasonable also. No complaints here!

IVery disappointed 10 inch maximillion special and when I got home it was a 7 inch and they charged me for the the 10 inch the pizza was rubbish

Was '..the best pizza in the area! :)' However the original owners have sold the business and its not as good as it was. New staff are disorganised and slightly rude so I'm unsure if I'll continue going which is a shame.
