We were so excited to try this place being new to Northampton but within less than 2 mins of sitting down to read the menu we were rudely told not to come there to just sit down despite having only just arrived. As we felt so unwelcome and patronised we decided to leave and will not be returning.

The space is lit, the interior design is elegant and the portrait frames on the wall are 😎. 🤠 📴 To the DJ, great collection from all generations reminds me of back home to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. 🫡

Pizzas were very tasty, however, placed on a tiny table near kitchen doorway so constant stream of staff going by. I think it's expensive for what it is, mocktails absolute rip off at £8 as extremely small

Maule Brewing, of Northampton UK, run this lovely tap room near to the town centre. 16 craft beer taps, normally serving about 8 Maule beers, 7 guest beers (usually from independent UK breweries) & 1 cider. Spirits, wine, cocktails also served, along with coffee and crisps etc. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, small fridge for take-out cans & a small garden area.

Excellent choice of home-brewed beer, some kind of reclaimed/ vintage clothing thing going, fantastic Soul DJ on a Saturday afternoon. Perfect place to sit and enjoy a perfect beer. Will be back.

Lovely surroundings with the house plants creating a nice atmosphere. Lots of beverage options for the beer drinkers, non alcohol and hot drinks.

Lovely place. Friendly staff who’ll give you a sample of any beer you wish to try - really strong range including their own beers and other quality craft ales. Decent cocktails too, and dog-friendly. We’ll be back!

My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Maule Collective. We found the place by complete fluke, but it was a great fluke. This a really nice micro brewery craft beer pub. They have very friendly and helpful staff, a fantastic selection of very nice house beers brewed by Maule (I can highly recommend the Life on Nectaron NEIPA, it's delicious) and they also have a choice selection of guest beers on tap and an impressive selection of cans in the fridges too. They also have wines, spirits and cocktails and I'm told they have fantastic coffee too. We only spent 3 nights in Northampton and made a visit here on each day. I would make a point of making a return visit next time we're in Northampton and I would recommend this place to anyone.

First time in Northampton and first time in Maule Collective. Great atmosphere and very helpful staff. I had the Life on Nectaron, a citrus NEIPA which was delish! My husband had the Dark Maule, vanilla stout wish was very nice! Will defintely come back!

Yes very good beers to choose from here, a bit on the chilly side so only had the one. But understandable during these difficult times.

Best thing about northampton town centre. I have had very good coffee from here but can not be very informative or helpful when it comes to the alcohol and bar side of things here. It does appear to have a huge selection of beers I believe and I also hear it has live music gigs...but I know nothing of this first hand. Sorry.

Not to crowded at time of visit on a Friday night reasonably priced drinks for a town centre bar 1st time visited would visit again.

The focus is heavily on pales and IPAs, not my thing at all, but I really enjoyed my visit. I loved the almost 50s vibe and the Super session IPA was that juicy banger that all IPA fans dream about.

Huge selection of beers, a fresh looking bar with good atmosphere. Best bit for me though was gluten free beer on tap. And it was really good beer.

I didn't understand what was going on as I am far too old, but everyone seemed to be having fun and I enjoyed my beer. The bar staff take their jobs seriously and so the drinks are made and served perfectly.

A good selection of tasty beers. The flights of four 1/3 pints were a really nice touch. Would have liked a choice of cask beer, as everything was keg.

I had a 1 hour wait until my train arrived. Instead of waiting on the platform I thought I would take a tootle around the city centre. It was coming up to flat white time, so I thought I would seek out an artisan coffee shop. I found something odd on my meander. It was 11am and I couldn't find a single Independent artisan coffee shop. Sure, the big girls like Starbucks and Costa were around, the outside seating flooded with people, but where were the independents hiding? I turned a corner and was immediately captivated by the beautiful elegance of Maule Collective. I took a closer look. It specialises in craft beers. A good sign, I thought. Maybe, just maybe they take an interest in coffee crafting too. After quizzing the staff member, I was right. They had artisan coffee, and yes, dairy alternative milk too. Thank you, you lovely environmentally considerate people! I began chatting to the regulars sat outside on the benches. A lot can be said about a place, by the customers that frequent it. Lovely, lovely people. The doors to the Maule Collective opened at 12:00pm on the Sunday. The flat white was poured with care and I loved every last drop of it. I made a beeline for the train station. I ran to the platform where the train to Birmingham New Street was just about to leave. With Indiana Jones like deftness, I launched myself into the bike carriage. The doors closed. The train pulled away. I sat there, breathing heavily, feeling ecstatic. It must have been the caffeine hit from the Yellow Bourbon Coffee Roasters Costa Rican.

Inviting industrial bar serving an extensive range of own and guest beers, as well as cocktails, soft drinks and coffee. Varying snack menu with excellent food served. The best bit about Maule is the team who run it though; as regulars we appreciate the friendliness and efficiency of the people, most recently as they managed Covid restrictions without resorting to impersonal ordering apps.

I love this place for the atmosphere, vibes and great beer! The place is always welcoming and the beer is cheap and cheerful and the staff are always happy to pour you a tasting glass if you want to try one or two of the beers! Plus, the jumpers and shirts are really comfortable!

Went here for a Friday evening, a great selection of drinks to choose from, it did get pretty busy, which was nice, added to the atmosphere. We all enjoyed the different types drinks that they did.

I've been to Maule a few more times since my first, so I figured it was time for an update. It still remains the best place to get beer in the town centre. Only Beer Guerilla and Princess Alexandra come close, but they're further afield. Maule are consistently releasing new beers, it seems; the new(ish) oatmeal stout is delicious, for example! If it's your first time there, I'd recommend a paddle of four thirds (weird sentence) to sample a range of their own brews. Their cocktails are next-level, but expensive. A recent espresso martini was the best cocktail I've had in town; far too easy to put away a few of them. It helps that they know their way around an espresso machine and use Yellow Bourbon beans. They even have speciality batch-brew beans with YB: Northampton craft independents assemble! Overall, it's the best drinkery in the town centre but be prepared for prices that reflect that!
