Massimo Restaurant in East Dunbartonshire

Really disappointing as I’ve had this pizza when I’ve been in the restaurant. Undercooked to point the base was stuck to pizza box and when you tried to lift a slice it just ripped ☹️

Great Italian restaurant. Really made us feel at home and allowed us to bring our baby and pram in. Highly recommended.

Pizza chef needs lessons on how to cut pizza. Some slice were a quarter of the pizza, others were a 1/16 of a pizza. Clearly don't care enough to pay attention to what they are doing .

Pizza: was not really Italian, Sauce not very tasty And not even cooked well…. How can you be an Italian restaurant and having a so bad pizza????

Fantastic experience, the food and wine highly recommend, especially the linguine branzino , red wine :) loads of to chose from I would recommend the neropasso or the house each are really good with any dish either meat fish or pasta !

Would like to thank staff at the Massimo for the help that they gave me through a dispute with a just eat delivery driver because of a 4 number code. I re ordered another delivery take away tonight and the food was really nice and driver was respectful. The restaurant staff are very helpful if you need help with anything thank you for my lovely meal tonight

Please be careful when offering any thing from just eat if you get a 4 didjet code please use as just eat drivers do not take the food back to the shop you order from you contact the shop and tell in front of driver that you are sending food back while the delivery guy is stand there let him hear you tell the shop owner what you are doing and why you are doing it

Pizza really nice but could have been warmer, felt like it had been sitting ready waiting to be collected

Attended a birthday party. Plenty of choice on menu and the tagliatelli with chicken and spinach was really good. The restaurant was very busy in the main dining area. It is a very popular place to eat and booking wd be a good idea to avoid disappointment.

Food is stone cold. Dunno where the driver has been.

Ordered and didn’t even come. Had to call up to find out after waiting 2 hours from order time.

I order penne All’Arrabiata and it wasn’t how it should be. How do I put this Rotten is an understatement did not taste like it at all, very bitter was as though a tin of tomatoes and some chilli where thrown in the pot and heated up, very disappointed with it as I always order this when I come into the restaurant, defo won’t be ordering again

Lovely Italian restaurant with a good selection of pasta and pizzas. Portion sizes are huge so go hungry. It’s a very busy popular restaurant so booking essential at weekends and as a consequence is quite loud. But don’t be put off by this as the food is marvellous. (Doesn’t serve lasagna as it’s not an Italian dish). Reasonable prices for the quality of food. My goto pasta RIGATONI CON SALSICCIA E FUNGHI Pasta with crumbled spicy Italian sausage with red peppers & mushrooms in a lightly spiced butter & tomato sauce

My food was extremely cold on arrival

Delicious food. A large menu with lots of different pastas, pizzas and meats. The Gnocchi was very good. The large portion is very filling (only order it if you're very hungry!) The atmosphere is alright, a bit loud though. Fast service and friendly staff. Recommend to book a table on a Friday/weekend.

Delivery quick and seamless. Food amazing, in particular the Risotto was fantastic.

By the time we got the pizzas they were lukewarm and the cheese was congealed. We binned most of it.

Our go-to Italian restaurant. We have been going since it opened. Never disapoints. Great food, great staff.

Massimo’s food is always excellent. This is a just eat problem. No food delivered so marks for quality amd delivery time are irrelevant. It’s not “late”, it’s not here.

no driver turned up to collect from restaurant so we had to collect ourselves.

Quite noisy when it's busy. Seating booths help & it isn't so bad to be distracting.

Food and service second to none!

The food was terrible. Spaghetti bolognese was tasteless and the pasta was stuck together at the ends. Everything was bland. Very disappointing and definitely not worth close to £50.

We ordered Quattro Stagioni pizza (ham, mushroom, artichoke and olives) and they put each ingredient separately on each piece. See the attached picture

Excellent food, good service. The only very slight issue was that we found it very warm, so we skipped dessert. Other than that, we had an enjoyable evening.

Very disappointed with the spaghetti carbonara. Instead of a creamy texture it was claggy and dry and the meat was just pure fat.

Food was fantastic ,we were in a side room and had to ask twice for table to be cleared and served drinks ,not the end of the world but..... I would still recommend a visit

ordered a large pasta dish and a small pasta dish and they were the same size. there was penne pasta mixed in with our spaghetti and vice versa. the rocket and parmesan salad was warm and there was barely any parmesan through it. have ordered from here in the past and enjoyed it but tonight's delivery was poor and overpriced for the quality. delivery was on time so scored high for service.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Havent ordered from them for ages due to last time we got take away it was missing items. This time Ordered just eat and didn't turn up. Restuarant didn't care said it wasn't their fault. To drive over to them and buy the food again, then try get a refund from just eat. Never in a million years will I go there again. And will tell everyone who will listen never to give these people their money. Should be ashamed of theirselves. Customer service appaling!!!!

Nothing arrived. I called the restaurant and they were no help at all. I'm considering deleting this Just eat app and never going to massimo's again. Which is a pity as I've had family parties, family meals, works nights out. NOTHING ARRIVED. CANT LEAVE NO STARS

Food almost completely cold. Garlic bread overcooked and cold. Two smallish slices for £3.95.

Sent the wrong order how do I request a refund for missing items? And food is freezing cold ! Never again will I buy from here!

i ordered my food at 7:30pm yesterday evening and did not receive my order until 8:40 at which point the food was freezing and not worthy of eating. i complained to the restaurant resulting in the answer being not enough drivers, to say disappointing is the least.

First time I've tried ordering from here dish was yummy, albeit a bit oily but I'd definitely order from here again.

Ordered a large carbonara, garlic pizza bread with mozzarella and fries. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. The food was freezing and there was no taste to the carbonara or garlic bread. Also the large portion of carbonara was half full so we got the tiniest bit of bland pasta. Won’t be ordering again at these standards.

Pizza was stone cold when we received it, the other item on our order was nice and hot, so it was definitely not the delivery drivers fault.

Best Italian food i have had loved it and would highly recommend you try it.

Massimo's is our local Italian restaurant and every time we visit (which isn't that frequently) we are met with lovely staff, great food and a very welcoming atmosphere. It's a joy to eat at Massimo's and you should definitely give it a go.

Massimo, use to be our favourite Italian restaurant, that serve top quallity food, but today's order surprisingly disappointing. "Peto di pollo ai funghi s. e speck" looked great, fresh and tasty, but EXTREMELY salted. (My husband usually eats food very salty, so I left the food for him, but even for him it was far TO much and he refused to eat it). (The potatoes from top was ok, the chicken-after wash was "ok", but the rest of the food was mixed with extremely salted butter/sauce). Hope it's just today's mistake as usually food everytime was great before. P.S. Also, unfortunatelly the minestrone soup is not like the original, but tasted condimented (spicy/peppered) as Asian soup, not as Italian.

The previous experience has not been great, and it was disappointing to see that the story hasn't changed. Burnt crust, no seasoning, substandard presentation. The food neither looked appetising neither tasted good. Not offering from here again! Shame!!

Easily the noisiest restaurant we've ever been to, to the point that the 4 of us struggled to converse, which meant we cut our meal short and headed home. It was the noise levels of a very busy city centre pub, not a nice restaurant. However, the food was good, and the service was quick and efficient. We'd return, but not on a Saturday night. They've also been good for takeaway in the past.

You’ll always receive a warm welcome at Massimo, the team are wonderful and the food is delicious ( wine list too), for all these reasons it’s is our favourite place to eat.

Visited tonight for a special birthday dinner and we weren't disappointed. 7 of us booked for 7:30pm and we had two young adults who have autism with us. They're used to going to busy places so they were fine once we sat at our table but it is a very busy restaurant that can be quite loud so be aware of that if you're looking for somewhere quiet! From the outside Massimo looks pretty unassuming but don't let that fool you. You open the doors to a large entry, very nicely decorated, clean and inviting. The tables are close but not crowded and the chairs are comfortable! The food is phenomenal. It's made to order so don't expect to get a pre-made lasagna that's just reheated (they don't have it on the menu for a reason). The ingredients are fresh and it's beautifully prepared. Two of us had pizza, 2 had spaghetti Bolognese, 2 had prawn & chorizo linguine and one person had seafood risotto. We also had some cheesy garlic bread and chips on the side. Desserts were hot chocolate fudge cake with ice cream and tiramisu. Service was excellent. Attentive but not over bearing. Just what you want. If you want to visit you must book. It's highly unlikely you'll get a walk in any evening of the week - it's that popular! We can't fault it and will definitely be back.

Food is to die for and staff are very friendly and accommodating. The only criticism I have is that the restaurant was quite noisy but it was very busy (which it will be cause the food is amazing). Overall a wonderful experience.

The pasta wasn’t cooked and it was tasteless

Never received my order and paid £40.28 driver had to take it back because it had burst over everything restaurant refused to help and waiting on Just eat to refund my £40.28 absolutely furious

Pasta with prawns had only two prawns and a taste of tomato puree instead of proper tomato sauce, potato with chorizo sausage was with no chorizo and with no flavour, taste like from cheap takeaway! In sum up no flavour no taste not gonna order again!

Don’t order from here. Dreadful service. They forgot to deliver an item. Delivery driver didn’t care. Phoned the restaurant and they said to come and pick up or not bother.

We visited midweek and the place was surprisingly busy! The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive!
