Glazert Country House Hotel in East Dunbartonshire

Excellent thanks for lovely food today .we really enjoyed it.

A nice hotel tucked away from the main road. We were greeted by the manager Julia, who was very helpful in getting us checked in. The rooms are very spacious, modern, and comfortable. The room hosts a spacious bathroom with a spa hot tub with a tv, which was a great feature. The room also has satellite television, which is a feature. The room was really warm when we arrived. we tried turning heating off, which didn't work but went to reception and got it sorted. The room was great. However, it did lack a small minifridge considering its size and space and some tlc. The restaurant was amazingly good, and the food and service was top notch. The food tasted good, with great portions and value for money. The staff are very friendly and attentive to your needs and also well organised. We couldn't thank Julia enough for her help. Thanks.

Great meal the food is really great nice fresh ingredients, the Tempura platter is a must when visiting here. The staff are really attentive and it's always a pleasure to visit here.

This is my second time staying at the hotel while away on business. The rooms are of a lovely size and very comfortable, everything required is in the room. Toiletries, iron and ironing board. But the best aspect is the spa bath. This time I had a corner spa bath which was just lovely after a day out working. Also the bathroom has a tv in so relaxing in the bath watching tv is a dream. The restaurant is very quaint, the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. And the food!!! I had a burger which the menu says they make on site and I have to say one of the best burgers I have had in a very long time, absolutely delicious! I have had a very comfortable stay and I look forward to staying again on my next visit. So thank you to all the team at The Glazert Country House Hotel for making my stay 300 miles from home a pleasure.

Great family run Hotel with good food and an excellent bar .

Food is absolutely amazing, portion sizes are huge 🤣burgers are melt in your mouth, so tasty, prices are amazing for what you get. It's a beautiful place it reminds me of brig o doon restaurant in alloway in Ayrshire.

I have had the best weekend staying at the Glazert hotel! All of the staff are warm, welcoming and very accommodating, ready to help with any requests and queries. I really loved my room. It was a lovely large double room with access to a large TV which includes Sky TV. The bed was so comfortable and I had a great night sleep! In my opinion the best perk about my room was the whirlpool bath (there was also a shower) which had a remote control TV!! I was literally living my best life this weekend. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, with continental buffet options as well as a freshly cooked hot breakfast. My only downfall was that I didn't book a longer stay! Great stay at a great price and I am looking forward to staying at The Glazert again in the future.

Nice relaxed atmosphere. Food was excellent. Staff very helpful. Good clean decor throughout. Would stay if I had the choice. And a nice big car park.

Quiet and stylish, good breakfast

Came here last week for a meal with my wife usually food is to a high standard but on this occasion with below standard I got the soup to start with which was ok a bit tasteless then I ordered the steak pie with chips and puff pastry the puff pastry was like a piece off cardboard inedible was like frosen pastry but when the waiter said how was your food I did mention this and he said my mum was in last week and said the same thing I still will give this another go but it must improve back to the old standards

I understand that the place is being slowly renovated so the pealing wallpaper wasn't a big deal and the ancient shower water heater thing that was difficult to work and would randomly change from hot water to cold water was...tolerable. The dark mildew on the shower curtain and all over the bathroom was less tolerable. The breakfast that was included in the stay was great. Lots of continental and hot options made fresh for each person. The dinner we paid for in the bar/restaurant was just OK. It was busy, but it took a long time for anyone to even bring us a drink. All in all a mediocre experience.

We stayed here for a night as bike packers, the staff were absolutely brilliant, the rooms huge and to a very high standard and spotlessly clean. Had a nice meal in the rest. I can't recommend the hotel enough! 5 stars all the way

Just there for food. Service was slow, despite many staff. Seemed to have great challenges helping a friend with simple allergy advice. Seems to ‘act’ like a restaurant, when in reality the food is very standard pub grub.

Just passing, popped in for a wee drink. Plenty of staff on to cope as had a birthday party to serve too. Cozy next to the open fire.

If we would a have picnic with our small and without smoke disposible BBQ in hotel's garden it could be perfect.
